Abstract
Description
A transparent liposome composition with excellent adhesion and finish
[0001] The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition having excellent adhesion and finish and being transparent, and more specifically, to a liposome composition having excellent finish by including three or more emulsifiers having an HLB (Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Balance) of 10 to 12, thereby significantly improving stickiness that may occur due to the inclusion of a high content of polyol, and which can realize a high adhesion rolling sensation and a nourishing sensation without using oil, while at the same time forming a transparent formulation.
[0002] The fundamental function of cosmetics applied to the skin is to moisturize, keeping the skin hydrated and prevent dryness. Polyols and oils are widely known as moisturizing ingredients for achieving this effect. Polyols, due to their large number of hydrophilic groups within their molecules, are ideal for retaining water, while oils form a barrier on the skin's surface, preventing moisture evaporation, making them ideal for moisturizing. However, excessive use of polyols can irritate the skin or cause excessive stickiness. Oils can also slow the absorption of cosmetics and negatively impact the user experience, resulting in stickiness and a greasy feel. Furthermore, excessive use of oils can cause skin irritation in those with oily skin.
[0003] Meanwhile, in the cosmetics industry, there's a growing trend toward visual imagery stimulating purchase desire, in addition to satisfying functionality. Therefore, creating cosmetics with a clear, clean image with visually transparent properties is becoming a crucial element in product differentiation.
[0004] Accordingly, the inventors of the present invention have continued research to develop a transparent composition that exhibits high moisturizing efficacy and excellent usability by applying polyol as a moisturizing ingredient at a high concentration, and as a result, they have confirmed that when three or more types of emulsifiers having a specific HLB value are mixed, a transparent liposome composition can be produced that has excellent usability as if it contained oil without containing oil, and has significantly improved stickiness even when applying polyol at a high concentration. As a result, the present invention has been completed.
[0005] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a liposome composition that significantly improves stickiness that may occur due to the inclusion of a high content of polyol, thereby providing an excellent finish, a high-adhesive rolling sensation and a nutritious feeling without using oil, and at the same time, forms a transparent formulation.
[0006] The technical problems of the present invention are not limited to the technical problems mentioned above, and other technical problems not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below.
[0007] According to an embodiment of the present invention, a liposome composition is provided, which comprises three or more emulsifiers, wherein the three or more emulsifiers have an HLB (Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Balance) of 10 to 12.
[0008] The liposome composition according to the present invention can form a transparent formulation while stably forming small-sized liposomes by including three or more types of emulsifiers having an HLB of 10 to 12.
[0009] In addition, the liposome composition has an excellent finish by significantly improving the sticky finish that may occur due to the inclusion of a high content of polyol, and can provide a high-adhesion rolling feel and a nourishing feel without using oil.
[0010] Therefore, the liposome composition has excellent moisturizing effect and usability, and has excellent ability to deliver effective ingredients within the liposome to the skin.

In addition, although embodiments of the present invention will be described below, the technical idea of the present invention is not limited or restricted thereto, and can be modified and implemented in various ways by those skilled in the art.
[0028] When a part in this specification is said to include a certain component, this does not exclude other components, unless otherwise specifically stated, but rather means that other components may be included. In this specification, the term "and / or" includes a combination of multiple related items or any one of multiple related items.
[0029]
[0030] According to an embodiment of the present invention, a liposome composition is provided, which comprises three or more emulsifiers, wherein the three or more emulsifiers have an HLB (Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Balance) of 10 to 12. The inventors of the present invention have confirmed that when three or more emulsifiers having an HLB of 10 to 12 are included, small-sized liposomes can be stably formed while forming a transparent formulation, and a sticky finish that may occur when a high content of polyol is included can be significantly improved, so that even when a high content of polyol is included, the finish is excellent, and a high-adhesive rolling feel and a nourishing feel can be provided without using oil.
[0031] In the present invention, “HLB (Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Balance)” refers to a value indicating the balance between the hydrophilic and lipophilic properties of a surfactant. The lower the HLB value, the stronger the lipophilic properties it can have, and the higher the HLB value, the stronger the hydrophilic properties it can have.
[0032] In one embodiment, three or more emulsifiers may be included in an amount of 0.001 to 3 wt% based on the total weight of the liposome composition, specifically 0.01 to 2.5 wt%, and more specifically 0.05 to 2.1 wt%. When the three or more emulsifiers are included in the above weight range, liposomes of a small size can be formed more uniformly and stably.
[0033] In one embodiment, the three or more emulsifiers may include polyglyceryl-6 laurate, lauryl glucoside, and myristyl glucoside. All three components have HLB values between 10.5 and 11.5. When all three components are included, small-sized liposomes can be formed more uniformly and stably, and a transparent formulation can be formed.
[0034] In one embodiment, the polyglyceryl-6 laurate, lauryl glucoside, and myristyl glucoside may be included in a weight ratio of 1:0.1 to 1.4:0.05 to 0.9, specifically 1:0.2 to 1.2:0.05 to 0.9, more specifically 1:0.5 to 1.2:0.05 to 0.9, and even more specifically 1:0.5 to 1.2:0.1 to 0.5. When the three components are included in the weight ratio, a transparent formulation can be formed and the formulation stability can be further improved.
[0035] In one embodiment, the polyglyceryl-6 laurate may be included in an amount of 0.001 to 1.4 wt%, specifically 0.001 to 1 wt%, and more specifically 0.01 to 0.7 wt%, based on the total weight of the liposome composition. When the polyglyceryl-6 laurate is included in the above weight range, a transparent formulation with a better usability can be formed. However, the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0036] In one embodiment, the lauryl glucoside may be included in an amount of 0.001 to 1.4 wt%, specifically 0.001 to 1 wt%, and more specifically 0.01 to 0.7 wt%, based on the total weight of the liposome composition. When the lauryl glucoside is included in the above weight range, a transparent formulation with a superior usability can be formed. However, the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0037] In one embodiment, the myristyl glucoside may be included in an amount of 0.05 to 0.8 wt%, specifically 0.01 to 0.5 wt%, and more specifically 0.01 to 0.3 wt%, based on the total weight of the liposome composition. When the myristyl glucoside is included in the above weight range, a transparent formulation with a superior usability can be formed. However, the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0038]
[0039] In one embodiment, the liposome composition may include a lecithin-based emulsifier as a liposome-forming skeletal component. The lecithin-based emulsifier is a main component forming liposomes and interacts with three or more emulsifiers having an HLB of 10 to 12 to stably form small, uniform liposomes and form a transparent formulation.
[0040] In one embodiment, the lecithin-based emulsifier may include at least one of hydrogenated phosphatidylcholine, hydrogenated lysophosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylcholine, lecithin, lysolecithin, hydroxylated lecithin, hydrogenated lysolecithin, and hydrogenated lecithin, and may specifically include hydrogenated lecithin, but is not limited thereto.
[0041] In one embodiment, the lecithin-based emulsifier may be included in an amount of 0.0005 to 5 wt%, specifically 0.001 to 5 wt%, based on the total weight of the liposome.
[0042]
[0043] In one embodiment, the liposome composition of the present invention may include a polyol having a refractive index of 1.47 or greater. The inventors of the present invention have confirmed that a transparent formulation is formed when a polyol having a refractive index of 1.47 or greater is included.
[0044] In the present invention, “polyol” is a molecule containing two or more hydroxyl groups (-OH) in the molecule and has strong hydrophilic properties, so it can function as a water-soluble moisturizing ingredient.
[0045] In the present invention, “refractive index (n) d )” corresponds to a value defined as the ratio of the speed of light propagating in a medium to the speed of light propagating in a vacuum.
[0046] In one embodiment, the polyol having a refractive index of 1.47 or higher may include at least one of glycerin, panthenol, and methylpropanediol, and may specifically include glycerin. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and any polyol having a refractive index of 1.47 or higher may be used without limitation.
[0047] In one embodiment, the polyol having a refractive index of 1.47 or higher may be included in an amount of 10 to 70 wt%, specifically 15 to 65 wt%, and more specifically 20 to 50 wt%, based on the total weight of the liposome composition. When the polyol is included in the above weight range, the liposome composition can exhibit excellent skin moisturizing efficacy, and the liposome composition of the present invention can realize a refreshing finish without a sticky finish despite including the polyol in a high content as in the above weight range.
[0048]
[0049] In one embodiment, the liposome composition may not include oil. The liposome composition of the present invention can provide a highly adhesive rolling sensation and a nourishing sensation without containing oil, thereby providing a composition with excellent moisturizing effects even to users with oily skin or other skin types that are prone to oil.
[0050] In the present invention, the phrase “may not include” oil should be understood to mean that the oil is included in a trace amount without hindering the unique effect that the present invention seeks to achieve. The case where the oil is included in a trace amount may mean, for example, a case where the oil is included in a weight of 3 wt% or less, 2 wt% or less, 1 wt% or less, 0.5 wt% or less, 0.1 wt% or less, 0.05 wt% or less, 0.01 wt% or less, or 0.005 wt% or less, but is not limited thereto. In addition, the component corresponding to “oil” in the present invention should be understood to correspond to a term that includes, without limitation, components commonly used as “oil” in the art.
[0051]
[0052] In one embodiment, the liposome composition may be characterized as transparent. The liposome composition may provide users with a clean appearance through its transparent formulation, thereby evoking a clear and clean aesthetic sensation.
[0053] In the present invention, “transparent” means that the formulation can transmit at least visible light, and may mean that the formulation is formed to the extent that the shape and color of an object located beyond the formulation and generally considered to be hidden can be observed through the formulation in a clear color without being cloudy.
[0054]
[0055] In one embodiment, the liposome particle size of the liposome composition of the present invention may include a particle size of 250 nm or less, and specifically, a particle size of 225 nm or less. The liposome composition of the present invention can uniformly form liposomes of a small size such as the particle size described above, thereby forming a transparent formulation and having an excellent ability to uniformly entrap an active ingredient.
[0056]
[0057] In one embodiment, the liposome composition may additionally comprise a preservative or functional ingredient.
[0058] The above preservatives are used to enhance the preservation effect, and examples thereof include, but are not limited to, 1,2-hexanediol and hydroxyacetophenone.
[0059] The above functional ingredients may be added by mixing various ingredients depending on the purpose of the cosmetic composition, and include, for example, wrinkle improvement agents, UV protection ingredients, whitening functional ingredients, pigmentation reduction functional ingredients, skin soothing functional ingredients, and sebum or pore management functional ingredients.
[0060] The liposome composition according to the present invention may additionally include components included in general cosmetic compositions, and may include, for example, ion sequestering agents, bactericidal agents, pH adjusters, antioxidants, alcohols, plant extracts, fragrances, cooling agents, thickeners, etc.
[0061] The liposome composition according to the present invention typically contains water in addition to the aforementioned components. Purified water, such as ion-exchanged water or distilled water, is preferably used as the water. The content is not particularly limited, and any amount sufficient to sufficiently dissolve or disperse each component contained in the composition may be used.
[0062] The mixing amount of the above-described components is not particularly limited, and can be easily selected by a person skilled in the art within a range that does not impair the purpose and effect of the present invention.
[0063]
[0064] In one embodiment, the liposome composition may be an aqueous dispersion. However, this is not limiting, and the cosmetic composition may be prepared in any formulation commonly prepared in the art to which the present invention pertains. For example, it may be formulated as a solubilized formulation, a water-in-oil (W / O), an oil-in-water (O / W), a water-in-oil-in-water (W / O / W), or an oil-in-water-in-oil (O / W / O) type emulsion formulation, etc. However, this is not limiting.
[0065] In addition, according to an embodiment of the present invention, a cosmetic product comprising a liposome composition according to the present invention is provided. The cosmetic product may be formulated as, for example, a flexible toner, a nourishing toner, an essence, a spray type, a mist, a gel, a lotion, a cream, etc., but is not limited thereto.
[0066]
[0067] Hereinafter, examples and experimental examples are presented to explain the present invention more specifically, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0068]
[0069] Experimental Example 1. Comparative Experiment with or without Liposome Formation
[0070] (1) Manufacturing of examples and comparative examples
[0071] In order to confirm whether an excellent composition with high adhesion and non-stickiness in a transparent formulation is formed when forming liposomes using the components of the present invention, examples and comparative examples were prepared using the components listed in Table 1 below. Specifically, in Example 1, a liposome composition was prepared using a high-pressure microemulsifier, and in Comparative Example 1, an emulsion was prepared by uniform mixing without using a high-pressure microemulsifier. In addition, polyglyceryl-6 laurate, lauryl glucoside, and myristyl glucoside were used as three or more emulsifiers having an HLB of 10 to 12, and hydrogenated lecithin was used as a lecithin-based emulsifier, and glycerin having a refractive index of 1.4746 was used as a polyol. The unit in Table 1 is weight%.
[0072]
[0073]
[0074] The specific manufacturing method of Example 1 is as follows.
[0075] After heating all the ingredients in Table 1 above to 60°C, they were emulsified using a homogenizer at 6000 rpm for 5 minutes, and then emulsified twice for 5 minutes at 1000 bar using a high-pressure microemulsifier to complete Example 1.
[0076] Comparative Example 1 was completed by emulsifying liposomes at 6000 rpm for 5 minutes using a homogenizer without using a high-pressure microemulsifier in the manufacturing method of Example 1.
[0077]
[0078] (2) Stability, usability evaluation and particle size measurement
[0079] For the above examples and comparative examples, the stability and usability of the formulations were evaluated, and particle size was measured. The specific evaluation and measurement methods are as follows.
[0080] Stability evaluation was conducted by storing manufactured examples and comparative examples under high temperature (50°C), room temperature (25°C), low temperature (5°C), and high-to-low temperature cycle conditions for one week, and comprehensively evaluating whether the liposomes remained unchanged in particle size for more than one week and whether phase separation occurred in the turbidity and appearance of the formulation. As a result, formulations that maintained particle size, maintained transparency, and did not undergo phase separation were considered to have excellent stability.
[0081] To evaluate usability, a panel of 10 expert evaluators applied the examples or comparative examples to their skin and rated the adherence and stickiness on a 5-point scale from 1 to 5. For adherence, scores closer to 5 indicate greater adherence and superior usability. For stickiness, scores closer to 5 indicate greater stickiness and a poorer finish.
[0082] Particle size was measured using an ELAZneo instrument that can measure particle size through the zeta potential of liposome particles dispersed in a solution.
[0083] The measurement results by the above evaluation and measurement methods are shown in Table 2. In addition, the transparent formulation of Example 1 is shown in Fig. 1.
[0084]
[0085]
[0086] As shown in Table 2 and Fig. 1, Example 1, which formed a liposome composition containing three types of emulsifiers having HLB values of 10 to 12, stably formed a transparent formulation with small, uniform liposomes, and it was confirmed that the stickiness was reduced despite the application of a high content of polyol, and that a formulation with excellent adhesion and nutritional value was implemented despite the absence of oil. On the other hand, in the case of Comparative Example 1, which was not prepared in the form of a liposome composition, an opaque formulation was formed, and it was confirmed that a formulation with very high stickiness and poor usability was implemented due to the application of a high content of polyol. In addition, it was confirmed that the particle size was very large, with an average particle size of about 10,000 nm, and the particle size distribution was also uneven because a high-pressure microemulsifier was not used.
[0087] Therefore, it was confirmed that forming a liposome composition including three types of emulsifiers having HLB values of 10 to 12 is an important component for achieving the effect desired by the present invention.
[0088]
[0089] Experimental Example 2. Comparative Experiment Using Three or More Types of Emulsifiers
[0090] (1) Manufacturing of comparative examples
[0091] In order to confirm whether the present invention is implemented depending on the inclusion of three types of emulsifiers having HLB values of 10 to 12, comparative examples were prepared by changing some of the emulsifier components based on Example 1 and keeping the other components and contents the same as in Example 1. Specifically, Comparative Example 2 used polyglyceryl-10 stearate having an HLB value exceeding 12, Comparative Example 3 used polyglyceryl-10 myristate having an HLB value exceeding 12, and Comparative Example 4 did not include myristyl glucoside. The unit in Table 3 is weight %, and the manufacturing method is the same as in Example 1.
[0092]
[0093]
[0094] (2) Liposome stability evaluation and physical property measurement
[0095] For the above examples and comparative examples, the stability and usability of the formulations were evaluated as in Experimental Example 1, and the particle size was measured, and the results are shown in Table 4. In addition, the cloudy formulations of Comparative Examples 2 to 4 are shown in Fig. 2.
[0096]
[0097]
[0098] As shown in Table 4 above, both Comparative Examples 2 and 3, which used emulsifiers having an HLB value exceeding 12, were confirmed to have formed turbid formulations and failed to achieve a transparent appearance. In addition, both Comparative Examples 2 and 3 were confirmed to have larger liposome particle sizes than Example 1, and the polydispersity index was confirmed to be higher than that of Example 1, resulting in the formation of liposomes with somewhat non-uniform particle sizes. In addition, Comparative Example 4, which did not contain myristyl glucoside, was confirmed to have formed a very turbid formulation.
[0099] Therefore, it was confirmed that including three or more types of emulsifiers with HLB of 10 to 12 is an important component for achieving the effect desired by the present invention.
[0100]
[0101] Experimental Example 3. Comparative Experiment According to the Weight Ratio of Three or More Emulsifiers
[0102] (1) Manufacture of examples and comparative examples
[0103] In order to confirm the optimal weight ratio of three types of emulsifiers with HLB values within 10 to 12, examples and comparative examples were prepared by changing some of the weight ratios of the emulsifiers based on Example 1 and keeping other components and contents the same as in Example 1. The unit in Table 5 is weight %, and the manufacturing method is the same as in Example 1.
[0104]
[0105]
[0106] (2) Liposome stability evaluation and physical property measurement
[0107] For the above examples and comparative examples, the stability and usability of the formulations were evaluated as in Experimental Example 1, and the particle size was measured, and the results are shown in Table 6. In addition, the cloudy formulations of Comparative Examples 5 and 8 are shown in Fig. 3.
[0108]
[0109]
[0110] As shown in Table 6 above, Example 2, which included three or more emulsifiers with HLB values of 10 to 12 in an appropriate weight ratio, was confirmed to form a stable and transparent formulation, and to provide an excellent feeling of use with excellent adhesion and reduced stickiness. On the other hand, Comparative Examples 5 to 6 and 8, which did not include the appropriate weight ratio of three or more emulsifiers, formed very cloudy formulations and failed to form a transparent appearance. In addition, it was confirmed that the sticky feeling of use increased and the feeling of adhesion slightly decreased compared to the Examples. In addition, in Comparative Example 7, which used a smaller amount of lauryl glucoside than the appropriate weight ratio, a cloudy formulation was formed, and a phenomenon of phase separation in the upper layer was observed after storage for one day under high temperature conditions, confirming that the formulation was more unstable.
[0111] Therefore, it was confirmed that including three or more types of emulsifiers having HLBs of 10 to 12 in an appropriate weight ratio is an important component for implementing the transparent liposome composition of the present invention.
[0112]
[0113] Experimental Example 4. Comparative Experiment According to Type and Content of Polyol
[0114] (1) Manufacturing of examples and comparative examples
[0115] In order to confirm the optimal polyol components and content for implementing the transparent liposome composition of the present invention, examples and comparative examples were prepared by changing the type or content of polyol based on Example 1 and keeping other components and contents the same as Example 1. The unit in Table 7 is weight %, and the manufacturing method is the same as Example 1.
[0116]
[0117]
[0118] (2) Liposome stability evaluation
[0119] For the above examples and comparative examples, the stability and usability of the formulations were evaluated as in Experimental Example 1, and the particle size was measured, and the results are shown in Table 8. In addition, the cloudy formulations of Comparative Examples 9 and 11 are shown in Fig. 4.
[0120]
[0121]
[0122] As shown in Table 8 above, Examples 3 and 4, which included a polyol having a refractive index of 1.47 or more in an appropriate amount, were confirmed to form stable and transparent formulations. On the other hand, Comparative Example 9, which included a polyol having a refractive index of less than 1.47, and Comparative Example 11, which included a polyol having a refractive index of less than 1.47, were confirmed to not form transparent formulations, and Comparative Example 10, which included a polyol having a refractive index of more than 1.47, was confirmed to not form a liposome composition formulation itself. It is presumed that this is because the polyol content in Comparative Example 10 was excessive, resulting in a low content of a solvent appropriate for stabilizing the liposome.
[0123] Therefore, it was confirmed that including an appropriate amount of polyol having a refractive index of 1.47 or higher is an important component for implementing the transparent liposome composition of the present invention.
[0124]
[0125] Experimental Example 5. Comparative Experiment According to Lecithin Emulsifier Content
[0126] (1) Manufacture of examples and comparative examples
[0127] In order to confirm the components and content of the optimal lecithin-based emulsifier for implementing the liposome composition of the present invention, examples and comparative examples were prepared by varying the content of lecithin based on Example 1 and keeping other components and contents the same as in Example 1. The unit in Table 9 is weight%, and the manufacturing method is the same as in Example 1.
[0128]
[0129]
[0130] (2) Liposome stability evaluation
[0131] For the above examples and comparative examples, the stability and usability of the formulation were evaluated as in Experimental Example 1, and the particle size was measured, and the results are shown in Table 10.
[0132]
[0133]
[0134] As shown in Table 10 above, Examples 5 and 6, which included an appropriate amount of lecithin-based emulsifier, were confirmed to form stable and transparent formulations. On the other hand, Comparative Example 12, which included a less than appropriate amount of lecithin-based emulsifier, and Comparative Example 13, which included an excessive amount of lecithin-based emulsifier, were confirmed to not form liposome composition formulations themselves.
[0135] Therefore, it was confirmed that including an appropriate amount of a lecithin-based emulsifier is an important component for implementing the liposome composition of the present invention.
[0136]
