Description

[0001] Device for sealing a lifting door as well as

[0002] Storage device with a device for sealing a lifting door

[0003] The present invention relates to a device for sealing a lifting door and a storage device with a device according to the invention for sealing a lifting door.

[0004] Sealing enclosed devices with lifting doors, especially storage systems, could previously only be achieved by mounting tightly fitting plates or foam strips along the lifting doors. However, foam strips, foam plates, and various other sealing materials and devices have the disadvantage that they deteriorate or wear away over time, particularly due to constant mechanical stress, generating dust and particles. Therefore, such sealing materials between lifting doors and the outside world or the interior of an enclosed device are unsuitable for applications such as cleanrooms, gas extinguishing systems, fire protection equipment, etc.

[0005] The invention is therefore based on the objective of providing a device for sealing a lifting door, with which the sealing of a lifting door is ensured without the formation of dust or particles and is therefore particularly suitable for cleanroom applications.

[0006] This problem is solved by a device according to claim 1. Furthermore, this problem is solved by a storage device according to dependent claim 10. Advantageous embodiments of the invention can be found in the dependent claims.

[0007] According to the invention, in a first aspect, the device is for sealing a lifting door, comprising a support element extending at least partially along one side of the lifting door, wherein a sealing element extending along the entirety of at least one side of the lifting door is arranged on the support element. At least one driver is arranged on the support element, which is pivotably connected to a holding device. The driver has a deflection element for deflecting the support element, with which the sealing element arranged on the support element can be moved into an open position when the lifting door is moved and into a closed position when the lifting door is in its closed end position.

[0008] A second aspect of the invention relates to a storage device with at least one lifting door and a device according to the invention for sealing this lifting door.

[0009] The invention can be further improved by the following embodiments, each of which is advantageous in itself and can be combined with each other as desired.

[0010] A closed position within the meaning of the invention is a position of the device according to the invention in which the sealing element rests against the lifting door to be sealed. An open position within the meaning of the invention exists when the sealing element is not in contact with the lifting door, i.e., when there is a gap between the sealing element and the lifting door. This gap is advantageously kept very small in order to prevent abrasion or the formation of particles through contact between the sealing element and the lifting door during its movement, while simultaneously preventing the formation of a large gap that would allow the ingress of foreign bodies, be they dust or dirt particles.

[0011] An end position within the meaning of the invention represents an end of the travel path of a lifting door. Thus, the closed end position is the end of the travel path with which the lifting door closes off the access area, whereas the open end position represents the end of the travel path of the lifting door at which the access area is open.

[0012] Preferably, in an advantageous embodiment, the device for sealing a lifting door extends along the entire longitudinal side of the lifting door. Advantageously, the actuator is pivotally connected to the holding device via a pivot axis. Particularly preferably, this is a rotary bearing, especially a ball-bearing rotary bearing.

[0013] To ensure that the sealing element rests against the lifting door in the closed position of the device, regardless of the deflection element, and particularly in the event of a deflection element failure, the invention, in an advantageous embodiment, provides that the pivotable axis connecting the driver to the holding device has a torsion spring. The torsion spring has such a preload that the effect described above can be achieved without excessively increasing the force required to deflect the driver via the axis of rotation.

[0014] Advantageously, particularly for simple, lightweight, and cost-effective manufacturing, the invention provides for the device that the support element is a profile, preferably a square profile, which is particularly preferably made of plastic or metal, especially a durable light metal such as aluminum. It is advantageous if the profile is a hollow profile. Due to its low weight, only small forces are required to pivot the support element by means of the driver and the deflection element.

[0015] In order to further reduce the lightness and thus the mechanical forces to be applied, the invention provides for the device in a further advantageous embodiment that the driver has a recess complementary to the support element, with which the driver is connected to the support element.

[0016] When the lifting door is in motion, particularly when it moves to an open or closed end position, the device for sealing the lifting door is pivoted according to the invention so that the seal arranged on the device does not slide along the lifting door and thus generate abrasion or dust particles. During this pivoting, a gap forms between the sealing element and the lifting door. To ensure that little to no dust or particles can enter the gap that forms in this situation, the device according to the invention advantageously includes a brush seal associated with the sealing element.

[0017] In one possible embodiment, the deflection element arranged on the drive mechanism is a roller mounted on a rotary axis, which is in contact with the lifting door. Furthermore, in an advantageous embodiment, the sealing element is a sealing lip made of rubber or plastic, a foam plate, a rubber plate, or another device suitable for sealing.

[0018] In an alternative embodiment, the deflection element arranged on the driver is designed as a rotary-mounted roller and a roller guide with a deflection rocker, wherein the deflection rocker is designed to deflect the driver and thus the support element, thereby bringing the sealing element into the closed position. Advantageously, the roller guide or track with deflection rocker, which is complementary to the roller, can be arranged on the lifting door.

[0019] Preferably, the holding device has at least two mounting openings. These mounting openings allow the device according to the invention to be retrofitted into, for example, a storage device with a lifting door. Retrofitting into corresponding storage devices with at least one lifting door is therefore also conceivable.

[0020] In a preferred embodiment, the at least one lifting door of the storage device is a double lifting door, with a device according to the invention for sealing each lifting door arranged on each door. The lifting doors can advantageously be operated electrically or pneumatically. Manual operation, particularly in emergency situations, by means of, for example, a hand crank, is also conceivable.

[0021] The invention is described below by way of example with reference to the drawings. The same reference numerals are always used in the drawings for elements that correspond to each other in terms of function and / or structure.

[0022] According to the description above, a feature of the embodiment can be omitted if the technical effect associated with that feature is not relevant for a particular application. Conversely, a feature not yet present in the embodiment can also be added according to the description above if the technical effect of the feature to be added is relevant for a particular application. (See illustrations below.)

[0023] Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of the device according to the invention for sealing a lifting door in a closed position of the device according to the invention in a perspective side view, as well as

[0024] Fig. 2 shows the embodiment according to Figure 1 in an open position of the device according to the invention in a side view.

[0025] Figure 1 shows an embodiment of the device 1 according to the invention for sealing a lifting door 7 in a closed position, in a perspective side view. In this embodiment, the lifting door 7 is in a closed end position. The device 1 consists of a profile 9 as a support element 2, which extends along the entire longitudinal side of the lifting door 7. In the example shown here, the profile 9 is a hollow square profile. A sealing element 3 in the form of a plastic plate 12 is arranged on the profile 9 and also extends along the entire longitudinal side of the lifting door 7.

[0026] Since the device 1 according to the invention is in its closed position, the sealing element 3, i.e., the plastic plate 12, lies flush against the lifting door 7. To ensure sufficient sealing contact between the plastic plate 12 and the lifting door 7, the embodiment shown here has a torsion spring 13 on the pivot bearing 14. The pivot bearing 14 connects the driver 4 to the holding device 5, with the pivot bearing 14 being embedded in the holding device 5 and connecting the holding device to the driver 4. The driver 4 has a recess 10 into which the support element 2, here in the form of a profile 9, is positively engaged in the driver 4. Arranged on the driver 4 in the direction of the lifting door 7, there is a deflection element 6, here in the form of a roller 8, which can be made of plastic or metal, in particular aluminum. In the closed position of the device 1 according to the invention, the roller 8 cannot have contact with the lifting door 7 and can be located below its closing edge. In the example shown here, the lifting door 7 has a deflector 15 made of plastic arranged below the lifting door, against which the roller 8 rests.

[0027] As soon as the lifting door 7 moves from its closed end position, as shown in Figure 1, in particular to reach its further end position, here the open end position, along its travel path, the device 1 according to the invention is deflected in the X-direction at the pivot bearing 14 due to the roller 8 arranged on the driver 4 below the lifting door 7, whereby the sealing element 3, here in the form of a plastic plate 12, is no longer in contact with the lifting door 7, see Figure 2. The roller 8 runs along the adjacent side of the lifting door 7 during the movement of the lifting door 7.After the lifting door 7 has fully moved from its closed end position to its open end position, the device 1 according to the invention remains in an open position because the deflection element 6, here the roller 8, remains in contact with the side of the lifting door 7 and thus continues to pivot the driver 4 and the support element 2 with sealing element 3 connected to the driver 4 in the X-direction via the pivot bearing 14. The lifting door 7 can, for example, be hollow and formed in one piece from a bent sheet metal, with the roller 8 running along one of the two folded edges of the lifting door 7.

[0028] After the lifting door 7 has moved back from its open end position to its closed end position, the state according to Figure 1 is reached again, in which the device 1 according to the invention is again in a closed position, since the deflection element 6, here the roller 8, is no longer in contact with the lifting door 7 and thus the device 1 is pivoted at the pivot bearing 14 in the direction of the lifting door 7 due to the preload by the torsion spring 13 arranged at the pivot bearing 14.

[0029] Furthermore, the device shown in Figures 1 and 2 has two mounting openings 11 on the holding devices. These serve to attach the device 1 to the holding devices 5 in a structure, for example, within a storage device in which the lifting door 7 is located. For example, this can be a storage device with at least one lifting door 7, but preferably two lifting doors 7, wherein the lifting door 7 or doors 7 seal off a storage area located inside the storage device from the outside world. The device 1 can be mounted on such a storage device via the holding devices 5 through their mounting openings 11 to seal the at least one lifting door 7.

[0030] Thus, a device for sealing a lifting door and a storage device with a lifting door and a sealing device according to the invention are disclosed above, with which the sealing of a lifting door is ensured without the formation of dust or particles and is therefore particularly suitable for cleanroom applications.
