[0008] In a first aspect, the present disclosure provides a handle assembly for use with a0 cleaning refill. The handle assembly includes a housing extending from a first end to a second end. The housing includes a first member extending from the first end toward the second end. The housing further includes a second member disposed at the second end. The housing further includes a wall disposed between the first member and the second member. The wall includes a wall surface facing the second end. The housing further includes a plurality of first features extending from the wall surface toward the second end. Claims
CLAIMSWhat is claimed is:
1. A handle assembly for use with a cleaning refdl, the handle assembly comprising: a housing extending from a first end to a second end, the housing comprising: a first member extending from the first end toward the second end; a second member disposed at the second end; a wall disposed between the first member and the second member, the wall comprising a wall surface facing the second end; and a plurality of first features extending from the wall surface toward the second end; and a hook at least partially disposed within the housing proximal to the second end, the hook comprising a plurality of fingers extending outwardly of the second member; wherein the plurality of fingers of the hook is configured to engage with an adapter of the cleaning refill, such that the cleaning refill is removably coupled to the handle assembly, and wherein, upon removable coupling of the cleaning refill to the handle assembly, the plurality of first features engages with a plurality of second features of the adapter.
2. The handle assembly of claim 1, wherein the engagement of the plurality of first features with the plurality of second features restricts rotation of the cleaning refill relative to the handle assembly.
3. The handle assembly of claim 1, further comprising an ejection assembly operably coupled to the hook, the ejection assembly comprising: an actuation member comprising a button extending outwardly of the first member; a hook member configured to engage with the hook, and a rod connecting the actuation member to the hook member; wherein the actuation member is biased to a coupling position and is movable to an uncoupling position, wherein, in the coupling position, the plurality of fingers of the hook engages with the adapter; and wherein in the uncoupling position, the hookmember engages with the hook, such that the plurality of fingers moves toward each other and disengages from the adapter.
4. The handle assembly of claim 3, wherein the hook further comprises: a plurality of arms connected to the plurality of fingers; and a plurality of tapered members connected to the plurality of arms, wherein the hook member of the ejection assembly is configured to engage with the plurality of tapered members in the uncoupling position of the actuation member.
5. The handle assembly of claim 3, wherein the actuation member moves from the coupling position to the uncoupling position in a direction extending from the first end toward the second end of the housing.
6. The handle assembly of claim 3, further comprising a button gripping component disposed on the button.
7. The handle assembly of claim 1, further comprising a handle gripping component disposed on a portion of the first member proximal to the first end of the housing.
8. The handle assembly of claim 1, wherein the first member, the second member, the wall, and the plurality of first features are integral.
9. The handle assembly of claim 1, wherein the first member comprises a first portion proximal to the first end, a second portion spaced apart from the first portion and proximal to the second end, and a curved portion connecting the first portion to the second portion.
10. The handle assembly of claim 1, wherein each first feature from the plurality of first features comprises a triangular cross-sectional shape.
11. The handle assembly of claim 1, wherein the housing further comprises a flange proximal to the wall.
12. A cleaning refill for use with a handle assembly, the cleaning refill comprising: a cleaning member; and an adapter connected to the cleaning member, the adapter comprising: a base; and a coupling structure connected to the base and extending opposite to the cleaning member along and about an adapter axis, the coupling structure comprising a shoulder extending inwardly toward the adapter axis, the shoulder comprising a shoulder surface facing away from the base; and a plurality of second features extending from the shoulder surface opposite to the base; wherein the shoulder is configured to engage with a hook of the handle assembly, such that the cleaning refill is removably coupled to the handle assembly, and wherein, upon removable coupling of the cleaning refill to the handle assembly, the plurality of second features engages with a plurality of first features of the handle assembly so as to restrict rotation of the cleaning refill relative to the handle assembly.
13. The cleaning refill of claim 12, wherein the engagement of the plurality of first features with the plurality of second features restricts rotation of the cleaning refill relative to the handle assembly.
14. The cleaning refill of claim 12, wherein the adapter further comprises a stabilizing structure connected to the base and extending opposite to the cleaning member along and about the adapter axis, wherein the stabilizing structure is spaced apart from the coupling structure.
15. The cleaning refill of claim 14, wherein the stabilizing structure comprises a plurality of stabilizing portions connected to each other, and wherein each of the plurality of stabilizing portions is bell-shaped.
16. The cleaning refill of claim 14, wherein the coupling structure comprises a first maximum height along the adapter axis from the base, wherein the stabilizing structurecomprises a second maximum height along the adapter axis from the base, and wherein the second maximum height is no greater than 105% of the first maximum height.
17. The cleaning refill of claim 12, wherein the adapter further comprises a plurality of ridges extending from the base opposite to the coupling structure, and wherein the plurality of ridges is spaced apart from each other.
18. The cleaning refill of claim 12, wherein the base, the coupling structure, and the plurality of second features are integral.
19. The cleaning refill of claim 12, wherein each second feature from the plurality of second features comprises a triangular cross-sectional shape.
20. The cleaning refill of claim 12, wherein the shoulder further comprises an engagement surface opposite to the shoulder surface, wherein the engagement surface is planar, and wherein the engagement surface is configured to engage with the hook of the handle assembly.
21. A kit comprising: a handle assembly comprising: a housing extending from a first end to a second end, the housing comprising: a first member extending from the first end toward the second end; a second member disposed at the second end; a wall disposed between the first member and the second member, the wall comprising a wall surface facing the second end; and a plurality of first features extending from the wall surface toward the second end; and a hook at least partially disposed within the housing proximal to the second end, the hook comprising a plurality of fingers extending outwardly of the second member; anda cleaning refill comprising: a cleaning member; and an adapter connected to the cleaning member and comprising a plurality of second features complementary with the plurality of first features; wherein the plurality of fingers of the hook is configured to engage with the adapter of the cleaning refill, such that the cleaning refill is removably coupled to the handle assembly, and wherein, upon removable coupling of the cleaning refill to the handle assembly, the plurality of first features engages with the plurality of second features so as to restrict rotation of the cleaning refill relative to the handle assembly.
22. The kit of claim 21, wherein the engagement of the plurality of first features with the plurality of second features restricts rotation of the cleaning refill relative to the handle assembly.
23. The kit of claim 21, wherein the handle assembly further comprises an ejection assembly operably coupled to the hook, the ejection assembly comprising: an actuation member comprising a button extending outwardly of the first member; a hook member configured to engage with the hook, and a rod connecting the actuation member to the hook member; wherein the actuation member is biased to a coupling position and is movable to an uncoupling position, wherein, in the coupling position, the plurality of fingers of the hook engages with the adapter; and wherein in the uncoupling position, the hook member engages with the hook, such that the plurality of fingers moves toward each other and disengages from the adapter.
24. The kit of claim 23, wherein the hook further comprises: a plurality of arms connected to the plurality of fingers; and a plurality of tapered members connected to the plurality of arms, wherein the hook member of the ejection assembly is configured to engage with the plurality of tapered members in the uncoupling position of the actuation member.
25. The kit of claim 23, wherein the actuation member moves from the coupling position to the uncoupling position in a direction extending from the first end toward the second end of the housing.
26. The kit of claim 23, wherein the handle assembly further comprises a button gripping component disposed on the button.
27. The kit of claim 21, wherein the handle assembly further comprises a handle gripping component disposed on a portion of the first member proximal to the first end of the housing.
28. The kit of claim 21, wherein the first member, the second member, the wall, and the plurality of first features are integral.
29. The kit of claim 21, wherein the first member comprises a first portion proximal to the first end, a second portion spaced apart from the first portion and proximal to the second end, and a curved portion connecting the first portion to the second portion.
30. The kit of claim 21, wherein each first feature from the plurality of first features comprises a triangular cross-sectional shape.
31. The kit of claim 21, wherein the housing further comprises a flange proximal to the wall.

The kit of claim 21, wherein the adapter further comprises: a base; and a coupling structure connected to the base and extending opposite to the cleaning member along and about an adapter axis, the coupling structure comprising a shoulder extending inwardly toward the adapter axis, the shoulder comprising a shoulder surface facing away from the base, wherein the plurality of second features extends from the shoulder surface away from the base, and wherein the shoulder isconfigured to engage with the hook of the handle assembly to removably couple the cleaning refdl to the handle assembly.
33. The kit of claim 32, wherein the adapter further comprises a stabilizing structure connected to the base and extending opposite to the cleaning member along and about the adapter axis, wherein the stabilizing structure is spaced apart from the coupling structure.
34. The kit of claim 33, wherein the stabilizing structure comprises a plurality of stabilizing portions connected to each other, and wherein each of the plurality of stabilizing portions is bell-shaped.
35. The kit of claim 33, wherein the coupling structure comprises a first maximum height along the adapter axis from the base, wherein the stabilizing structure comprises a second maximum height along the adapter axis from the base, and wherein the second maximum height is no greater than 105% of the first maximum height.
36. The kit of claim 32, wherein the adapter further comprises a plurality of ridges extending from the base opposite to the coupling structure, and wherein the plurality of ridges is spaced apart from each other.
37. The kit of claim 32, wherein the base, the coupling structure, and the plurality of second features are integral.
38. The kit of claim 21, wherein each second feature from the plurality of second features comprises a triangular cross-sectional shape.
39. The kit of claim 21, further comprising a caddy, the caddy comprising a refill holder configured to receive multiple units of the cleaning refill therein, wherein the refill holder comprises a holding structure configured to support the handle assembly.

The kit of claim 39, wherein the refill holder comprises:a tube comprising a tube opening, wherein the tube is configured to receive the multiple units of the cleaning refill therein through the tube opening; and a lid pivotally connected to the tube and configured to selectively cover the tube opening, wherein at least one of the tube and the lid defines the holding structure.
41. The kit of claim 39, wherein the caddy further comprises: a base structure supporting the refill holder and comprising a cup receiving portion disposed adjacent to the refill holder; and a holding cup configured to at least partially receive the handle assembly when the handle assembly is supported by the holding structure, wherein the cup receiving portion at least partially and removably receives the holding cup.
42. The kit of claim 41, wherein the caddy further comprises a gripping foot arranged at a bottom of the base structure.
