Abstract

A carbon dioxide reduction device 1 is provided with: an oxidation tank 101 and a reduction tank 102 which are separated from each other by an electrolyte membrane 103; electrolyte solutions 104a, 104b which are respectively put in the oxidation tank and the reduction tank; an oxidation electrode 105 of an optical semiconductor, which is inserted into the electrolyte solution in the oxidation tank; a reduction electrode 106 which is connected to the oxidation electrode by a conductive wire 107 and is inserted into the electrolyte solution in the reduction tank; a gas introduction line 108b which introduces carbon dioxide into the electrolyte solution in the reduction tank; and a pump 110b which circulates the electrolyte solution.

Claims

1. A carbon dioxide reduction apparatus comprising: an oxidation tank and a reduction tank separated by an electrolyte membrane; an electrolyte placed in the oxidation tank and the reduction tank; an oxidation electrode of a photosemiconductor inserted into the electrolyte in the oxidation tank; a reduction electrode connected to the oxidation electrode by a wire and inserted into the electrolyte in the reduction tank; a gas introduction line for introducing carbon dioxide into the electrolyte in the reduction tank; and a circulation device for circulating the electrolyte.

2. A carbon dioxide reduction apparatus comprising: an oxidation tank and a reduction tank separated by an electrolyte membrane; an electrolyte solution placed in the oxidation tank and the reduction tank; an oxidation electrode inserted into the electrolyte solution in the oxidation tank; a reduction electrode connected to the oxidation electrode via a power supply by a wire and inserted into the electrolyte solution in the reduction tank; a gas introduction line for introducing carbon dioxide into the electrolyte solution in the reduction tank; and a circulation device for circulating the electrolyte solution.

3. The carbon dioxide reduction apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the circulation device circulates the electrolyte in the electrolyte in the tank.
