Description

air conditioner

[0001] The present disclosure relates to an air conditioner, and more specifically, to an air conditioner installed on a wall or ceiling.

[0002] An air conditioner can supply heat-exchanged air to an indoor space to regulate the temperature of the indoor space.

[0003] Wall-mounted air conditioners may have discharge outlets that open forward or downward. In a structure where only a single discharge outlet is formed, it is difficult to cover a wide area, making it difficult to achieve user satisfaction regarding comfort. Specifically, if the discharge outlet is formed forward, it is difficult to generate a direct airflow discharged toward the bottom of the air conditioner, and if the outlet is formed downward, there is a problem in delivering air over a long distance forward.

[0004] Korean Patent Publication KR 2020-0095936 discloses a structure of an air conditioner in which two discharge ports are formed.

[0005] In the air conditioner structure of the aforementioned literature, a structure for a separate opening is associated with the area where the discharge port is formed, making it difficult to isolate only the cover area where the discharge port is formed.

[0006] However, recently, there is a user need for a structure that allows for the convenient separation and combination of such discharge areas, enabling the maintenance and cleaning of parts of the air conditioner structure.

[0007] The present disclosure aims to solve the aforementioned problems and other problems.

[0008] Another objective of the present disclosure is to provide an air conditioner in which the discharge cover can be easily separated and connected.

[0144] The front wall (132) includes a front lower wall (134) in contact with the first discharge cover (110) and a front upper wall (136) in contact with the upper cover (20).

[0145] The width (134W) of the front lower wall (134) formed in the front-rear direction is smaller than the width (172W) of the inner passage (172) formed in the front-rear direction. The width (134W) of the front lower wall (134) formed in the front-rear direction is smaller than the width (112W) of the front part (112) formed in the front-rear direction.

[0146] The front wall (132) includes a front vane (138) positioned between the front upper wall (136) and the front lower wall (134).

[0147] The front vane (138) extends in the front-rear direction in the area where the front portion (112) is positioned. The width (134W) of the front lower wall (134) formed in the front-rear direction is shorter than the length (138L) of the front vane (138) formed in the front-rear direction.

[0148] The front upper wall (136) has a structure that is bent downward from the center in the front-rear direction.

[0149] The length (136W) of the front upper wall (136) formed in the front-rear direction may be longer than the length (138L) of the front vane (138) formed in the front-rear direction. The length (136W) of the front upper wall (136) formed in the front-rear direction may be longer than the width (134W) of the front lower wall (134) formed in the front-rear direction.

[0150] The front vane (138) forms an inclined surface toward the front and upper side. Therefore, the front vane (138) can guide the air discharged through the second discharge port (16) toward the front and upper side.

[0151] Since the length formed by the front lower wall (134) in the front-rear direction is shorter than the length formed by the front vane (138) in the front-rear direction, the front lower wall (134) can be formed with a relatively narrow width.

[0152] Therefore, it is difficult to provide a separate structure for coupling with the first discharge cover (110) on the front lower wall (134). Additionally, since the front lower wall (134) is formed in a relatively narrow area, its relative strength may be weak. Therefore, coupling through a separate structure may cause the shape of the front lower wall (134) to deform or be damaged.

[0153] In the present invention, the front lower wall (134) is inserted into an insertion groove (114c) formed in the front part (112) of the first discharge cover (110) and has a structure that is joined by a fusion method. Accordingly, the front lower wall (134), having a relatively thin thickness and width, can be stably joined to the first discharge cover (110).

[0154] The gap (D1) between the front lower wall (134) and the front vane (138) positioned adjacent to the front lower wall (134) is formed to be smaller than the gap (D2) between the plurality of front vanes (138). The gap (D3) between the front upper wall (136) and the front vane (138) positioned adjacent to the front upper wall (136) is formed to be equal to or larger than the gap (D2) between the plurality of front vanes (138).

[0155] The thickness of each front vane (138) formed in the vertical direction decreases as it goes from the rear to the front.

[0156] Referring to FIG. 8, the side wall structure of the second discharge cover and the connection relationship with the first discharge cover will be explained.

[0157] A third discharge port (18) is formed in the side wall (150). The side wall (150) includes a side vane (156) that guides the air discharged through the third discharge port (18) upward. The side vane (156) may have a shape that slopes upward as it extends outward. A plurality of side vanes (156) may be provided spaced apart in the vertical direction.

[0158] The side wall (150) includes a side lower wall (152) that contacts the first discharge cover (110). The side lower wall (152) can be joined to the first discharge cover (110) by a fusion method.

[0159] A lateral tip (118) is disposed on the outer side of the lateral lower wall (152) of the first discharge cover (110). The lateral tip (118) protrudes upward from the outer end of the lateral portion (116) of the first discharge cover (110). The second discharge cover (130) can be stably disposed on top of the first discharge cover (110) by means of the lateral tip (118).

[0160] The side wall (150) includes a side upper wall (157) facing the upper cover (20). A guide rib (158) may be disposed on the side upper wall (157). The guide rib (158) may be inserted into a rib hole (30) formed in the upper cover (20).

[0161] An inner flow path (172) extending to the left or right from the first discharge port (14) is formed in the second discharge cover (130). The inner flow path (172) may be formed in the area where the second discharge cover (130) and the first discharge cover (110) are combined.

[0162] The inner channel (172) extends from the side of the first discharge port (14) to the third discharge port (18). The inner channel (172) can send a portion of the air flowing over the first vane (52) to the third discharge port (18).

[0163] Referring to FIGS. 9 and FIGS. 10, the upper structure of the side wall of the second discharge cover will be explained.

[0164] The first discharge cover (110) has a shape in which the lower surface slopes downward as it goes towards the rear.

[0165] The first discharge cover (110) has an upper surface that contacts the second discharge cover (130) and is parallel to the second discharge cover (130). A locking projection (122) is disposed on the rear of the first discharge cover (110).

[0166] A lower fixing projection (124) is positioned at the rear of the first discharge port (14) on the first discharge cover (110).

[0167] A third discharge port (18) is formed in the side wall (150) of the second discharge cover (130).

[0168] A guide rib (158) protruding upward is disposed on the upper surface of the side wall (150) of the second discharge cover (130). The guide rib (158) can guide the second discharge cover (130) to a position where it is combined with the upper cover (20).

[0169] The guide rib (158) includes a first guide rib (158a) positioned above the third discharge port (18) and a second guide rib (158b) positioned behind the first guide rib (158a).

[0170] The first guide rib (158a) has a bent shape. The first guide rib (158a) can be bent at the front end and extended to the upper part of the front wall (132).

[0171] An upper fixing projection (160) protruding upward is disposed on the upper surface of the side wall (150) of the second discharge cover (130). The upper fixing projection (160) is combined with the upper cover (20) to fix the placement of the second discharge cover (130).

[0172] The upper fixing projection (160) includes a first upper fixing projection (160a) disposed between a plurality of guide ribs (158) and a second upper fixing projection (160b) disposed behind the first upper fixing projection (160a). The second upper fixing projection (160b) is disposed behind the second guide rib (158b).

[0173] A plurality of upper fixing protrusions (160) and a plurality of guide ribs (158) are arranged alternately with each other.

[0174] Referring to FIG. 11, a structure in which the side wall of the second discharge cover is combined with the upper cover is described.

[0175] The upper fixing projection (160) has a fixing projection groove (161) formed therein.

[0176] The upper cover (20) includes a fixing bar (33) that is inserted into a fixing projection groove (161). When the second discharge cover (130) is combined with the upper cover (20), the fixing bar (33) is inserted into the fixing projection groove (161).

[0177] A rib hole (30) into which a guide rib (158) is inserted is formed on the lower surface of the upper cover (20). The first discharge cover (110) is combined with the second discharge cover (130), and the second discharge cover (130) can be combined with the upper cover (20).

[0178] Additionally, although not shown in the drawing, a lower fixing projection (124) formed on the first discharge cover (110) can be coupled to one side of the inner body (44).

[0179] Referring to FIG. 12, a structure in which the front wall of the second discharge cover is combined with the upper cover is described.

[0180] A plurality of second members (32) are arranged on the upper cover (20). The plurality of second members (32) are arranged spaced apart in the left and right directions. Magnets may be used for the second members (32).

[0181] A coupling hole (34) is formed on the lower surface of the upper cover (20) so that a part of the first member (140), which is positioned on one side of the second discharge cover (130), is inserted. The lower surface of the upper cover (20) is positioned on the front wall (132).

[0182] A plurality of coupling holes (34) are formed on the lower surface of the upper cover (20). A second member (32) can be placed on the coupling holes (34).

[0183] When the second discharge cover (130) is combined with the upper cover (20), the first member (140) positioned on the upper part of the front wall (132) may be combined with the second member (32) positioned on the upper cover (20). When the second discharge cover (130) is combined with the upper cover (20), a part of the first member (140) may be placed in the coupling hole (34).
