This vehicle lamp comprises: a board having thereon a plurality of light sources that are individually controlled to be turned on / off; a control lens for controlling light emitted from the light sources; and a shade having a plurality of partition parts forming a plurality of compartments by partitioning a space between the board and the control lens. At least one light source is positioned in each compartment. The distance between opposing partition parts in the compartments is defined as a first distance. The distance between the board and the control lens in the compartments is defined as a second distance. The first distance in the plurality of compartments arranged in the direction of the first distance decreases from one end toward the other end. The board and the control lens are oriented in different directions. The second distance in the plurality of compartments arranged in the direction of the first distance decreases from the one end toward the other end.
