Abstract

A switch module (30) comprises a semiconductor switch and is provided with a protective function for monitoring a load current flowing through the semiconductor switch and interrupting the current when there is an abnormality. When a control circuit (31) receives a low-power-consumption mode transition permission signal outputted from an external control device before the control device enters a standby state, the control circuit (31) causes a switch module body to transition to the low-power-consumption mode if prescribed transition conditions for transitioning to the low-power-consumption mode are satisfied.
