Abstract

The present invention relates to a composition which contains a synthetic pyrethroid compound and a compound represented by formula (1) (wherein R1 and R2 are the same or different and each represent a C17-C19 alkyl group), wherein the mass ratio of the synthetic pyrethroid compound to the compound represented by formula (1) is 1:0.01 to 1:20.

10. An insect repellent comprising a composition according to any one of claims 1 to 9 and a container containing the composition, wherein the container is configured to allow a synthetic pyrethroid compound volatilized from the composition to pass through.

11. A method for controlling pests, comprising the steps of: installing the insect repellent device described in claim 10 in a place where pests live; and volatilizing a synthetic pyrethroid compound from the composition and passing it through the containment container.
