Abstract

A spraying device (1) and a spraying method thereof are disclosed. The spraying method comprises the following steps: using a camera (5) and a sensor (6) of a visual recognition system (3) to respectively capture an image and detect physical information parameters, which is then further processed by an image processing module (9) to generate a data set comprising coordinate parameters and physical information parameters, and indicating the situations of defects on substrate surfaces by the controller (10). For serious defects, the controller (10) generates a discarding instruction for the substrate; for minor defects, the spray gun unit (12) repairs the defects according to the spraying instruction. The spraying method effectively solves the problems of high cost, large restrictions on substrate shape and size, poor consistency of spraying quality, low spraying efficiency, and serious waste of raw materials by known spraying equipments.

Description

A SPRAYING DEVICEFIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of spraying. In particular, the present invention relates to a spraying device and a spraying method thereof for repairing defects of a substrate.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] In the lab and manufacturing, spraying is a common surface processing method for substrates, and it is widely used in coating surfaces of various substrates. Spraying technology uses a spray gun to aerosolize the spray material, and then uniformly sprays it on the surface of the substrate to be sprayed and finally forms a dense protective film on the surface of the substrate to be sprayed. Coating a protective film on the surface of the substrate can provide protection for the substrate, including but not limited to waterproofing, anti-oil, gas-barrier, etc. Therefore, spraying technology has a wide range of application scenarios in the field of materials, and is in great demand both in laboratories and in the industry.

[0003] The currently widely used lab and manufacturing spraying equipment has the following shortcomings in practical applications: (1) Traditional spraying equipment usually has a very complicated mechanical structure and is expensive; (2) There are certain restrictions on parameters such as shape and size of the coated substrates, and the universality is not good. In view of the above disadvantages, some existing laboratories have imported the spraying equipment and achieved higher spraying quality, but the problem of high cost is still not solved, which greatly increases the operating cost of the laboratory. In addition, manual spraying is also used in some laboratories by experimenters. Although this can effectively reduce costs, the quality consistency of manual spraying is difficult to achieve, and it is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and inefficient.

[0004] In general, the current applications of existing spraying technologies in laboratories and manufacturing environments mainly have the following problems: (1) The cost of the spraying equipment is too high, which greatly increases the operating cost of the laboratory and manufacturing; (2) There are strict restrictions on the shape and size of the substrate to be coated, which cannot meet the needs of coating the surface of substrates of various shapes; (3) It is difficult for manual spraying to achieve the consistency of spraying quality. Since the surface situations of the substrates to be coated are different, the use of advanced equipments for coating will also result in poor consistency of spraying quality; (4) Due to the lack of detection of the spraying quality on the surface of the coated substrate, deviations will occur in the spraying results, which greatly affects the yield of good products and therefore reduces the spraying efficiency, and also causes a great waste of raw materials. Therefore, developing a novel spraying technology with excellent performance and designing spraying equipment with more functions, wider application scenarios, better universality, higher spraying efficiency and superior yield of good products are important development goals in the spraying field, which are of great significance for promoting the development of materials science and surface science.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0080] In one embodiment, spraying is partial spraying of the (surface of) substrate to be sprayed.

[0081] In one embodiment, the visual recognition system 3 comprises only one light source 4, one camera 5, one sensor 6, one monitor 7, one image acquisition module 8, one image processing module 9, one controller 10 and one communication unit 11.

[0082] In one embodiment, the light source 4, camera 5, sensor 6, monitor 7, image acquisition module 8, image processing module 9, controller 10 and communication unit 11 comprised in the visual recognition system 3 can be independently one or more.

[0083] In one embodiment, the spraying device 1 sprays one substrate at a time.

[0084] In one embodiment, the spraying device 1 sprays more than one substrates at a time.

[0085] In one embodiment, the coordinate parameters are represented by two-dimensional coordinates (x, y) or three-dimensional coordinates (x,y, z) , and the number of coordinate points per unit area / volume can be changed by pre-setting the resolution of the image acquisition module 8.

[0086] In one embodiment, the visual recognition system 3 is used to detect the physical information of the (surface of) substrate to be sprayed to obtain the physical information parameters of the (surface of) substrate.

[0087] In one embodiment, the physical information parameters comprise a transmittance parameter, which comprises the transmittance values at one or more sites, expressed in percentage.

[0088] In one embodiment, the physical information parameters comprise a thickness parameter, which comprises the ratio of the absolute value of the difference between the actual thickness at one or more sites and the nominal thickness of the substrate to be sprayed to the nominal thickness of the substrate to be sprayed, expressed in percentage.

[0089] In one embodiment, the physical information parameters comprise an area parameter, which comprises the ratio of the area of interest to the total surface area of the substrate, expressed in percentage.

[0090] In one embodiment, the physical information parameters also comprise other quantitative parameters, such as bottom flatness, longitudinal cross-sectional area, etc.

[0091] In one embodiment, based on the received data set, the controller 10 marks the area X corresponding to all coordinate points whose physical information parameters are smaller than the physical information parameter threshold A1, and indicates that the area X is defect-free.

[0092] In one embodiment, based on the received data set, the controller 10 marks the area Y corresponding to all coordinate points whose physical information parameters are greater than or equal to the physical information parameter threshold A1 but smaller than the physical information parameter threshold A2, and indicates that the area Y is a minor defect.

[0093] In one embodiment, the controller 10 further generates a spraying instruction to repair minor defects in the area Y.

[0094] In one embodiment, based on the received data set, the controller 10 marks the area Z corresponding to all coordinate points whose physical information parameters are greater than or equal to the physical information parameter threshold A2, and the area Z includes one or more discrete areas.

[0095] In one embodiment, the controller 10 calculates the respective areas of one or more discrete areas in the area Z.

[0096] In one embodiment, when the ratio of the area of each discrete area in the area Z to the total surface area of the substrate is less than the area ratio threshold S1, the area Z is indicated as a minor defect (indicating that the substrate is sprayable) , and then a spraying instruction is further generated for the area Z to repair the minor defect.

[0097] In one embodiment, when there is at least one discrete area in the area Z tha the ratio of the area thereof to the total surface area of the substrate is greater than or equal to the area ratio threshold S1, the discrete area is indicated as a serious defect (indicating that the substrate is not sprayable) , and then a discarding instruction is further generated.

[0098] In one embodiment, after the discarding instruction is generated, the visual recognition system 3 will send a reminder message, indicating that the substrate can be directly discarded.

[0099] In one embodiment, the physical information parameter threshold A1 is selected from any value in the range of 5%-20%, for example, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%; preferably selected from any value in the range of 5%-15%; more preferably selected from any value in the range of 5%-10%.

[0100] In one embodiment, the physical information parameter threshold A2 is selected from any value in the range of 60%-85%, for example, 60%, 65%, 70%, 75%, 80%, 85%; preferably selected from any value in the range of 70%-85%; more preferably selected from any value in the range of 80%-85%.

[0101] In one embodiment, the area ratio threshold S1 is selected from any value in the range of 15%-40%, for example, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%; preferably selected from any value in the range of 25%-40%; more preferably selected from any value in the range of 25%-30%.

[0102] In one embodiment, the spray gun unit 12 further comprises an accurate flow meter 13, which is configured to achieve accurate and quantitative spraying according to the relationship between the ratio of the area of a certain discrete area on the surface of the substrate to the total surface area of the substrate and the area ratio threshold S1, and between the physical information parameters of the coordinate points in this discrete area and the physical information parameter thresholds A1 and A2.

[0103] The defect described herein refers to an area with degraded physical features compared with the physical features of other parts of the substrate. Generally, the physical information parameters will indicate that this part has a (uneven) recession relative to other parts. For example, compared with other parts of the substrate, this part has an increased light transmittance or a thinner thickness.

[0104] In one embodiment, after repairing the defects on the surface of the substrate, spraying can further be performed on the entire surface of the substrate.

[0105] In one embodiment, the spraying speed, spraying time, etc. can be pre-set to adapt to spraying in various situations.

[0106] In one embodiment, the spraying device 1 of the present invention is used to spray the substrate to be sprayed to repair the defects on the surface of the substrate.

[0107] In one embodiment, the substrate includes but is not limited to glass, ceramic tile, concrete, metal, textile, plastic, wood, paper, fiber molded substrate or composite material.

[0108] In one embodiment, the substrate is a paper or a fiber molded substrate.

[0109] In one embodiment, the substrate is a two-dimensional substrate or a three-dimensional substrate.

[0110] In one embodiment, after the overall spraying of the surface of substrate is completed, the visual recognition system 3 can also be used to detect the spraying quality of the surface of substrate.

[0111] The above has described various embodiments of the present disclosure, and the above description is exemplary, not exhaustive, and is not limited to the disclosed various embodiments. Without departing from the scope and spirit of the described embodiments, many modifications and changes are obvious to one of ordinary skill in the technical field. The selections of terms used herein are intended to best interpret the principles, practical applications or improvements to the technologies in the market of each embodiment, or to enable other ordinary technicians in the technical field to understand the various implementations disclosed herein.

[0112] EXAMPLE

[0113] In order to better understand the present invention, the content of the present invention is further illustrated below in conjunction with the example, but the content of the present invention is not limited to the following example.

[0114] Example 1

[0115] The spraying device of the present invention is used to detect the fiber molded substrate and repair the defects according to the surface defect type on the substrate: a disc-shaped fiber molded substrate is fixed on the workstation 2. When the substrate is in the monitoring area of monitor 7 as observed from the screen of the monitor 7, the monitor 7 sends a trigger pulse to the controller 10, and then the controller 10 sequentially sends a start pulse A to the light source 4 to start the light source 4 to illuminate the surface of the substrate to be sprayed, and sends a start pulse B to the camera 5 to start the camera 5 to take a picture of the surface of the substrate to be sprayed, and sends a start pulse C to the sensor 6 to start the sensor 6 to detect the physical information parameters, which are the transmittance parameters, and the transmittance parameters are the values of the transmittance at one or more sites on the substrate surface.

[0116] After the image captured by the camera 5 is transmitted to the image acquisition module 8, the image is assigned with coordinate parameters in the image acquisition module 8, and then further transmitted to the image processing module 9. The sensor 6 also transmits the above physical information parameters to the image processing module 9 for further processing.

[0117] The image processing module 9 correlates the received physical information parameters with the corresponding coordinate parameters and generates a data set comprising the physical information parameters and the coordinate parameters. Then, according to the data set, the controller 10 further marks the area corresponding to all coordinate points whose transmittance parameters are smaller than the transmittance parameter threshold value A1 of 10%as the area X, and indicates that the area X is defect-free; and marks the area corresponding to all coordinate points whose transmittance parameters are greater than or equal to the transmittance parameter threshold value A1 of 10%but smaller than the transmittance parameter threshold value A2 of 80%as the area Y, and indicates that the area Y is a minor defect; and marks the area corresponding to all coordinate points whose transmittance parameters are greater than or equal to the transmittance parameter threshold value A2 of 80%as the area Z.

[0118] The controller 10 further calculates the respective areas of one or more discrete areas of area Z on the substrate surface, and concludes that the ratio of the area of each discrete area in area Z to the total surface area of the substrate is smaller than the area ratio threshold value S1 of 25%, and then indicates that area Z is a minor defect.

[0119] Therefore, the substrate does not have serious defects and is sprayable. Subsequently, the controller 10 further generates a spraying instruction and sends it to the spray gun unit 12. The spray gun unit 12 further performs spraying operations to repair all minor defects on the surface to be sprayed, thereby providing protection for the substrate.

[0120] Although the above invention has been described in detail by way of illustration and example for the purpose of clear understanding, those skilled in the art will recognize that certain changes and modifications may be made within the scope of the appended claims.
