Description

[0001] DESCRIPTION

[0002] TRACK WRAPPING APPARATUS

[0003] TECHNICAL FIELD

[0004] The invention relates to a track wrapping apparatus used in military tracked vehicles to facilitate the wrapping of the track onto wheels or a drive sprocket.

[0005] In particular, the invention relates to a track wrapping apparatus comprising at least one stud installed into the holes / threads located on the vehicle body, and a sliding plate mounted onto these studs by means of slots, enabling the track to be wrapped by sliding over said plate.

[0006] STATE OF THE ART

[0007] In military vehicles, a track is a special wheel or chassis system used in tanks, armored carriers, and similar land vehicles. Tracks, typically made of metal or composite material, provide vehicles with a larger contact surface, improved maneuverability over rough terrain, and help prevent sinking into soft surfaces. With the ability to traverse rocky, muddy, or snow-covered ground, tracked systems enhance vehicle balance and mobility and are therefore widely preferred in military operations due to their durability and offroad capability.

[0008] In the current art, there is a risk of the heavy track becoming stuck or trapped between suspension components during installation. This situation may result in damage during assembly. Due to the heavy structure of the track, care is required during installation, and any improper handling may adversely affect vehicle performance. Therefore, precautions must be taken during installation to ensure proper assembly. In addition, the assembly of tracks demands considerable physical strength, which can quickly fatigue and exhaust operators, especially during long-duration tasks. Physical fatigue caused by prolonged manual work reduces operator efficiency. Mistakes arising from fatigue lead to time loss and may jeopardize the success of military operations.

[0009] Manual assembly methods in the current art consume more time, which negatively affecting operational efficiency. Considering the time-critical nature of military tasks, delays during installation weaken overall mission performance. Therefore, the development of faster and more efficient systems is essential.

[0010] Moreover, a high number of personnel required to perform the assembly process complicates operational procedures. Multiple operators working together can result in coordination problems and communication issues, leading to longer installation durations and potential errors. These aspects negatively impact the overall effectiveness of military operations.

[0011] As a result, to solve the above-mentioned problems in the current art, the development of a cost-effective, safe, and practical track wrapping apparatus has become necessary due to the inadequacy of existing solutions.

[0012] OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION

[0013] The present invention relates to a track wrapping apparatus developed to eliminate the aforementioned disadvantages and bring new advantages to the related technical field, enabling the track on a military tracked vehicle to be wrapped more easily onto the wheels or drive sprocket.

[0014] The main objective of the invention is to develop a specialized apparatus that allows faster and simpler installation of the track on land vehicles. With this apparatus, the assembly becomes less complex and significantly shortens the required operation time. Thus, the time required for installation is minimized, ensuring that military operations are performed more quickly and efficiently.

[0015] Another objective of the invention is to reduce the need for multiple personnel during track installation, which typically requires several people and takes time. The developed equipment provides savings in both time and human resources. This facilitates smoother operation of the military unit and contributes to more efficient assembly processes. As a result, operational resources can be utilized more effectively.

[0016] Another objective is to perform the track installation more rapidly and safely. The developed apparatus reduces physical fatigue during the installation process and considers the health of personnel. Therefore, this increases the efficiency of military personnel while minimizing long-term wear and tear, and improving motivation.

[0017] Another primary objective is to reduce the physical effort required from personnel during track installation. The designed equipment allows operators to perform the assembly with less physical strain. As a result, the personnel who can now perform high-effort tasks more easily work more productively overall. These priorities help improve safety and increase installation quality.

[0018] Another important objective of the invention is to standardize the process. The developed apparatus facilitates the execution of track installation in accordance with predetermined standards. Thus, each installation process ensures the same level of quality and safety. This contributes to the predictability and security of manufacturing and operational procedures while minimizing operational risk.

[0019] The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all of its advantages will be understood more clearly from the drawings provided below and the detailed description written with reference to these drawings. Therefore, the evaluation must be made in consideration of these drawings and the detailed description.DRAWINGS TO HELP UNDERSTAND THE INVENTION

[0030] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0031] In this detailed description, preferred embodiments of the track wrapping apparatus are explained only to provide better understanding of the subject and without any limiting effect.

[0032] Figures 1-3 show the track wrapping apparatus and its components in detail. The invention has been developed to speed up the track mounting process in tracked land vehicles and to simplify the existing methods. The assembly begins with threaded or drilled holes at 1-meter intervals in the vehicle body (A); these serve as anchor points for secure track mounting. Into the MIO threaded holes, studs (10) with a length of 200 mm are placed. These studs (10) provide critical stability and safety during the mounting process.

[0033] Sliding plates (20), produced from cast nylon (kestamit) or metal sheet, are placed on the studs (10) to facilitate easier track (P) assembly. Here, the studs (10) are inserted into the matching slots (21) of the sliding plate (20).

[0034] The use of cast nylon or metal sheet allows easier sliding of the track (P), enabling faster and more effective installation. This plate structure allows smooth guiding of the track, reducing operator effort and minimizing installation errors.

[0035] During the assembly process, the track (P) is pulled over the sliding plates (20). This is the most critical phase of the process— thanks to the horizontal surface provided by the plates (20), correct positioning of the track (P) can be ensured.

[0036] When connecting the track (P), it is essential to secure it firmly. Once the track (P) is properly connected, the sliding plates (20) and studs (10) are removed, completing the installation process.

[0037] This invention increases operational efficiency by significantly reducing both the time required and the need for manpower. Especially during time-critical military operations, the fast and effective implementation of this method presents a major advantage. Furthermore, the improvement in installation quality supports standardization and contributes to minimizing operational risk.

[0038] This innovative approach is considered an important advancement that improves safety and effectiveness in modern military technology. The protection scope of this application is defined in the claims section, and the subject matter described above should not be considered limiting. It is apparent that a person skilled in the art may apply the disclosed innovation to different configurations or applicable areas within similarly purposed technologies.
