asphalt pavement, comprising a threaded section, a raised section, a barb
assembly, and a nut. During the actual installation of
asphalt pavement guardrails, holes can be drilled in the
asphalt pavement. The barb is then rotated and retracted into a receiving groove. The threaded section and raised section are then placed into the drilled hole. The nut is then rotated using a tool, causing it to engage with the ground and slowly pull the threaded section and raised section upwards. Simultaneously, the barb slowly pierces into the surrounding soil as it rises. Once the barb is fully extended, the resistance to nut rotation increases, stopping the rotation of the nut. The guardrail is then installed on top of the threaded section, thus achieving better fixation to the
asphalt pavement and maintaining good grip even during
hot weather, preventing the installation equipment from falling off.
