Abstract

The invention provides a method for carrying out multicasting on a core net EPC and a device for carrying out multicasting on a core net EPC. A mapping relation of an IP address of a multicasting group and an IP address of a train access unit TAU is configured in the EPC. The IP address of the multicasting group is associated with a display terminal. The IP address of the TAU is associated with the TAU. The method comprises steps that the EPC receives data reports sent by a passenger information system PIS server; the data reports carry IP addresses of one or more multicasting groups; IP addresses, corresponding to the IP addresses of the one or more multicasting groups, of TAUs are searched; the data reports are sent to one or more TAU associated with the IP addresses of one or more TAUs; and the one or more TAU are used for forwarding the data reports to the display terminals associated with the IP addresses of the multicasting groups.
