Claims

1. A handle knob of a fishing reel characterized by comprising: a support shaft having an outer peripheral portion and fixed to a handle arm; a bearing provided at the outer peripheral portion; a cylindrical member rotatably provided at the support shaft via the bearing; a handle grip having a through hole through which one end of the cylindrical member is inserted and the other end of which is open, having a fixed end fixed to one end of the cylindrical member to rotate integrally with the cylindrical member inserted in the through hole, and an open end supported by the other end of the cylindrical member; and a waterproof plug for waterproofing the open end.

The handle knob of a fishing reel according to claim 1, characterized in that the waterproof plug comprises an insertion portion inserted from the through hole toward the open end and a waterproof portion provided at an outer periphery of the insertion portion to abut against an inner periphery of the through hole.

3. The handle knob of a fishing reel according to claim 1, characterized in that the waterproof portion has a tapered portion which is tapered in diameter from an insertion rear end side of the insertion portion toward an insertion front end side.

4. The handle knob of a fishing reel according to claim 1, characterized in that the waterproof plug comprises a flange provided at the insertion rear end side of the insertion portion and having an outer diameter larger than that of the waterproof portion.

5. The handle knob of a fishing reel according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized by further comprising a cover member attached to the handle grip to cover the insertion rear end side of the waterproof plug.

6. The handle knob of a fishing reel according to claim 1, characterized in that the waterproof portion is a separate cap which covers the insertion front end side of the insertion portion. ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​
