Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a drinking bottle with a bottle body having a filling opening on which a filling opening closure is formed, and with a drinking lid having a drinking lid closure suitable for sealingly cooperating with the filling opening closure, wherein the drinking lid comprises a drinking spout forming a drinking opening.
[0002] Such a drinking bottle is well known in the art. These are used for sports, travel, and leisure activities to consume a beverage on the go that has been previously filled into the drinking bottle at home. Tea is also often carried in these bottles.
[0003] For example, DE10 2021 115 432 A1 discloses a drinking bottle that can accommodate a tea strainer. The water present in the bottle's volume then dissolves the ingredients from the tea leaves in the tea strainer. The tea strainer must be removed from the drinking bottle before drinking.
[0004] It's difficult to prepare tea on the go using the method described in DE 10 2021 115 432 A1. The tea strainer is dirty after being removed from the drinking bottle and needs to be placed somewhere or cleaned.
[0005] The object of the present invention is therefore to further develop a drinking bottle of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that a fine-grained substance, such as plant parts, tea leaves or fruit pulp, can be introduced into it and dissolved therein without hindering the user when drinking.
[0006] This object is achieved by arranging a filter basket at the filling opening, which is suitable for filtering the bottle contents present in the filling volume as the water flows through the filter basket towards the drinking spout. The use of a filter basket in the flow path of a beverage, when the beverage flows towards the drinking opening during a drinking process, prevents the ingredients present in the filling volume 5 from also reaching the drinking opening and disturbing the user while drinking. The use of a filter basket, i.e. a three-dimensional filter device, enables the provision of a large filter surface. This ensures a high flow volume. The user does not have to increase their drinking behavior, in particular their suction power on a mouthpiece or drinking spout.
[0007] A further advantage of the present invention is that an insert is arranged in the filling opening, which insert has a pouring opening with a specific opening width and is detachably connected to a filter basket. The filter basket has a filter basket closure that is suitable for sealingly engaging with an insert closure formed on the insert. In this way, the filter basket can be screwed to the insert, and the insert can be screwed to the bottle body, so that the assembly and disassembly of the aforementioned components can be carried out quickly and easily.
[0008] Another advantage of the present invention is that the filter basket forms a tea strainer, with a strainer body whose strainer width is suitable for preventing tea particles from entering the filter basket. This means that the filter basket can also be used for making tea. However, the tea, for example dried tea leaves, is not placed in the filter basket, but in the filling volume outside the filter basket and then poured over with water. The filter basket and insert are then inserted into the bottle body and closed with the drinking lid. When drinking, the drinking lid with the drinking spout is placed against the mouth and the drinking bottle is lifted to drink. This allows the liquid contents in the filling volume to flow through the filter basket into the drinking spout, while the solid components remain attached to the tea strainer or filter basket. The user can therefore consume the filtered beverage without any disruptive substances in the liquid.
[0009] A further advantage of the present invention is that the insert has an annular shoulder, with which the insert rests on a peripheral edge of the filling opening when the insert and the filter basket are connected. This allows for a simple, sealed seal between the individual components.
[0010] A further advantage of the present invention is that the drinking lid has a cap that is suitable for covering the drinking spout. This makes it possible to protect the drinking spout from use by the environment.
[0011] Further advantages of the present invention emerge from the further features of the subclaims.
[0012] An embodiment of the present invention is described in more detail below with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 is a schematic exploded view of a drinking bottle according to the present invention; and Fig. 2 a schematic view of the assembled drinking bottle from Fig. 1.
[0013] In Fig. Figure 1 shows a schematic exploded view of a drinking bottle 1 according to the present invention. A bottle body 3 with a filling volume 5 determined by the bottle body 3 comprises a bottle bottom 3.1 and a bottle head 3.2. A filling opening 7 is formed on the bottle head 3.2, through which the drinking bottle 1 can be filled.
[0014] In the illustrated embodiment, the drinking bottle 1 has a bottle neck 3.3 at the bottle head 3.2, which is formed by the bottle body 3. The bottle neck 3.3 has a smaller diameter D1 than the bottle body 3 and limits the filling opening 7. A drinking lid 9 fits onto the bottle neck 3.3, which Fig. 1 is covered with a cap 9.1.
[0015] In Fig. 2, the closure cap 9.1 is in an open position. In the open position, the closure cap 9.1 exposes a drinking spout 9.2 on the drinking lid 9.
[0016] The drinking bottle 1 also includes a filter basket 11 arranged at the filling opening 7. The filter basket 11 has a height h corresponding to its diameter d2. The diameter D2 is smaller than the diameter d1 of the bottle neck 3 and also of the filling opening 7. Depending on the embodiment of the drinking bottle 1, the height h of the filter basket 11 is in a range from 30 mm to 60 mm, preferably from 40 mm to 50 mm, and most preferably substantially 45 mm.
[0017] Due to the three-dimensional design of the filter basket 11, a large number of very small filter openings 11.1 result in a large flow opening overall, so that no back pressure is created when the beverage flows through the filter basket 11. The user does not have to increase their force for the suction power on the drinking spout 9.2 when drinking. In the embodiment shown, the filter basket 11 takes up a proportion of essentially 5 vol.% to 7 vol.% of the filling volume 5. This filter basket volume in the filling volume 5 ensures that the small filter openings 11.1 are distributed over a sufficiently large total area on a peripheral surface and on a base surface of the filter basket 11, and that back pressure is avoided when drinking.Preferably, the filter basket 11 in the illustrated embodiment has a sieve surface located within the filling volume 5, the ratio of which to the filling volume 5 is in the range of 0.06 to 0.09 1 / cm. This means that an effective sieve surface with a filling volume of, for example, 1000 ml has a size of 60 cm. 2 up to 90cm 2 has.
[0018] In other embodiments, the values may also vary depending on the filter material. In a preferred embodiment, the filter material is tea and is preferably in the form of whole leaves or as torn leaves, broken leaves, fannings, dust, and mixtures thereof. For such a filter material, the mesh size of the filter basket is 11 or the tea strainer is 20 to 200 mesh.
[0019] The mesh size of a sieve indicates the number of meshes (or openings) per linear inch (25.4 mm). Therefore, a sieve with a mesh size of 20 means that it has 20 meshes (or openings) per inch in one direction. • Mesh size 20: 20 openings per inch (approximately 0.84 mm opening size) • Mesh size 50: 50 openings per inch (approximately 0.31 mm opening size) • Mesh size 100: 100 openings per inch (approximately 0.15 mm opening size) • 200 mesh: 200 openings per inch (approximately 0.75 mm opening size).
[0020] This means that the larger the mesh size, the smaller the openings in the sieve. A sieve with a mesh size of 200 effectively filters out very fine particles such as tea dust or fannings.
[0021] The filter basket 11 can be attached to the drinking bottle 1 in different ways in various embodiments. In the illustrated embodiment, the filter basket 11 comprises a filter basket closure 11.2. The drinking bottle 1 also comprises an insert 13 with a pouring opening 13.1, on which an insert closure 13.2 is formed. The filter basket closure 11.2 and the insert closure 13.2 are designed to complement each other and are suitable for interacting to create a tight and secure connection between the filter basket 11 and the insert 13. The specific design of a closure system can vary in various embodiments.
[0022] In the illustrated embodiment, the filter basket closure 11.2 has an internal thread, and the insert closure 13.2 has an external thread that matches the internal thread of the filter basket. In other embodiments, the respective position of the threads can be reversed, either internally or externally.
[0023] The insert 13 has an annular shoulder 13.3, with which the insert 13 rests on a peripheral edge 7.1 of the filling opening 7 when the insert 13 and the filter basket 11 are connected to one another. Once the connection is established, the insert closure 13.2 protrudes through the filling opening 7 into the interior of the bottle body 3, so that the filter basket 11 connected to the insert 13 hangs inside the bottle body 3. The filter basket 11 is connected to the insert 13 outside the drinking surface 1 and then inserted through the filling opening 7 into the bottle body 3 until the insert 13 rests with the annular shoulder 13.3 on the peripheral edge 7.1 of the filling opening 7.
[0024] The drinking lid 9 has a drinking lid closure 9.3, which can cooperate sealingly with a filling opening closure 7.2. In various embodiments, the drinking lid closure 9.3 and the filling opening closure 7.2 can be designed differently. In the illustrated embodiment, the drinking lid closure 9.3 forms an internal thread (not shown) and the filling opening closure 7.2 forms an external thread.
[0025] In the illustrated embodiment, the filling opening closure 7.2 and the insert closure 13.2 each form an external thread, while the drinking lid closure (9.3) and the filter basket closure (11.2) each form an internal thread. Reversing the internal and external arrangement of the respective threads is possible in other embodiments.
[0026] The closure cap 9.1 is hinged to the drinking lid 9. The linkage is effected via a hinge axis 9.4, so that the closure cap 9.1, as shown in Fig. 2 with a double arrow, can be opened in one direction and closed in the opposite direction to expose or cover the drinking spout 7.2. To prevent the closure cap 9.1 from opening automatically, a complementary locking element 15.1, 15.2 is provided on the peripheral edge 9.5 of the drinking lid 9 and on the peripheral edge 9.6 of the closure cap 9.1. In the closed state, as shown in Fig. 1, the first locking element 15.1 locks releasably onto the closure cap 9.1 and the second locking element 15.2 locks releasably onto the drinking lid 9.
[0027] The bottle body 3 has an outer shoulder 3.4 at the transition to the bottle neck 3.3, to which a retaining loop 17 is attached, loosely arranged around the bottle neck 3.3. In the illustrated embodiment, a retaining ring 17.1 rests on the outer shoulder 3.4, in which the retaining loop 17 is attached.
[0028] In the illustrated embodiment, the drinking bottle 1 and the filter basket are essentially cylindrical and have a round cross-section. Furthermore, in the operating position, the filter basket is arranged essentially concentrically to a central longitudinal axis of the drinking bottle 1. In other embodiments, other cross-sections can also be selected for the drinking bottle 1 and the filter basket 11. In other embodiments, an eccentric arrangement of the filter basket 11 in the bottle body 3 is also possible without altering the essence of the invention.
