Method for operating a sorting facility

Abstract

Sorting facility 10 sorts an item 90 using a conveyor belt 23 located on a mobile cart 20 that travels along a transport path K. Several mobile carts 20 travel along path K. Each mobile cart 20 is equipped with a power-generating motor 32 that generates electrical energy through its movement. The conveyor belt 23 located on each mobile cart 20 moves to a predetermined position on transport path K thanks to the electrical energy generated by the power-generating motor 32.The power generation motor 32 located in each of the mobile cars 20 begins to generate the electrical power needed to drive the conveyor belt 23, in order, from the power generation motor 32 located in the mobile car 20 programmed to pass first through the predetermined position in the transport path K, once the mobile cars 20 are activated and their travel speeds become constant.
