Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Magnetic penetrating jewelry device, in particular for an earring, kit and method based on this device
[0001] The invention relates to the field of fashion accessories, and more particularly to the field of penetrating jewelry, such as earrings.
[0002] In this area, the use of earrings has become more widespread among all women and some men. However, their use remains complex and presents numerous risks.
[0003] Indeed, earrings are not suitable for children because of the risk of them being torn off and lost due to regular handling, nor for the elderly who have difficulty handling small mechanisms regularly.
[0004] More generally, earrings are often transported and stored in unhygienic conditions which can lead to infections.
[0005] In addition, allergy problems are common. In fact, in the vast majority of cases nickel, often used in alloys, is responsible for allergies. It is estimated that nearly 20% of women are allergic to this metal. The reason is that this metal tends to dissolve in the presence of humidity and form salts. For example, the simple act of sweating causes nickel to dissolve. This results in severe skin irritation to the point that people who persist in wearing this jewelry can weaken their body's natural resistance. The first symptom is a rash (eczema) at the very place where the skin was in contact with the jewelry.
[0006] In the case of pierced ears or piercings, swelling of the lobe, redness and itching are observed. To avoid these inconveniences, after piercing, it is generally suggested to keep the earring for weeks without being able to change it, which poses aesthetic problems in terms of fashion trends.
[0007] A first objective of the present invention is to propose a new earring mechanism making it possible to meet aesthetic needs and design variation, particularly after piercing.
[0008] A second objective is to propose a new earring mechanism that is easy to manipulate to change style compared to the prior art.
[0009] A third objective is to offer earrings that generate fewer skin conditions and allergies while limiting the quantity of rare materials used.
[0010] To achieve these objectives, the invention provides a penetrating jewelry device, in particular for earring, including - a jewelry base, - a jewelry needle attached to the jewelry base, the needle preferably being configured to be associated with a jewelry clasp, - at least one decorative element.
[0011] According to a first aspect, the earring device comprises a base magnet secured to the jewelry base, and at least one upper magnet secured to the decorative element. In addition, at least one penetrating jewelry is removably formed by affixing the base magnet to the upper magnet.
[0012] Advantageously, the device allows, by assembly by magnets, to have a mechanism to change the decorative element only and to change the design and style of earring as desired.
[0013] In addition, the assembly / disassembly by magnets is a very easy to handle mechanism accessible to children and the elderly.
[0014] In addition, the device makes it possible to limit skin or internal disorders since by changing the design, an earring suitable for the user's skin will not be replaced by an earring inducing skin disorders.
[0015] According to other aspects taken in isolation, or combined according to all technically feasible combinations: - the device comprises a plurality of decorative elements, and preferably more decorative elements than jewelry bases; and / or - the needle, and preferably the base and clasp, comprise a hypoallergenic material; and / or - the hypoallergenic material includes 925 silver or gold; and / or - the decorative element comprises a hanging structure; and / or - the jewelry base comprises a lower support receiving a lower portion of the base magnet, and preferably a lower portion of the upper magnet, and forming a reaction to the weight of said magnet(s); and / or - the jewelry base comprises a lateral support receiving a lateral portion of the base magnet, and preferably a lateral portion of the upper magnet.
[0016] The invention further relates to a penetrating jewel comprising a device according to the invention and preferably a corresponding clasp.
[0017] Another object of the invention relates to a penetrating jewel kit comprising elements for several configurations of at least one device according to the invention or of at least one penetrating jewel according to the invention.
[0018] The invention further relates to a method of changing a penetrating jewel by means of a device according to the invention, a penetrating jewel according to the invention, or a kit according to the invention, characterized in that the needle, and preferably the clasp, are held in place, a first decorative element is disassembled from the base by separating the base magnet from the corresponding upper magnet, and a second decorative element is assembled to the base by attaching the corresponding upper magnet to the base magnet.
[0019] The invention will be further detailed by the description of non-limiting embodiments, and on the basis of the appended figures illustrating variants of the invention, in which:
[0020] [fig. 1] is a diagram of an exploded side view of a device according to a preferred embodiment;
[0021] [fig.2] is a diagram of the device of [fig.l] assembled;
[0022] [fig.3] is a diagram of the device of figures 1 and 2 disassembled;
[0023] [fig.4] is a diagram of a view in space of the base of the device of figures 1 to 3 ; and
[0024] [fig.5] is a diagram of a side view of a device according to another mode of realization preferred lization, assembled.
[0025] The invention relates to fashion accessories, and more particularly to penetrating jewelry, more particularly to earrings. The invention is described with respect to earrings which are more preferred because they are less subject to external mechanical stresses. However, the invention can also be applied to other body piercings, with a preference for those which are not covered by clothing, nor in contact with several parts of the body.
[0026] The invention provides a novel earring mechanism. It is an earring device 1 comprising a loop base 2 and a loop needle 3. The loop base 2 may comprise a planar structure with two faces. It has, for example, a disc shape.
[0027] The needle 3 is fixed to the base 2, for example integral with the loop base 2, in particular on one face. The needle 3 and the base 2 are generally metal structures welded together. The loop needle 3 is the section penetrating the ear through a hole made by piercing the ear.
[0028] The needle 3 is preferably configured to be associated with a loop clasp 4. The tip of the needle 3 penetrating the ear protrudes from the other side of the ear and is closed by means of the clasp 4. The clasp 4 is a structure having a hole housing the tip of the needle 3 for fixing the earring on the ear. The clasp 4 may be a metal structure with one or two levers associated with an elastic constraint means for attaching the needle 3 to the clasp 4 in a manner known per se.
[0029] Alternatively, one can envisage a needle which can be without a clasp, for example a hook needle with an ear pendant.
[0030] The device 1 further comprises at least one decorative element 5, preferably several decorative elements 5, more preferably more decorative elements 5 than bases 2. This makes it possible to change decorative elements, on the same base 2.
[0031] The decorative element 5 is the part carrying the aesthetics of the earring. In particular, the decorative element 5 comprises patterns, reliefs, stones, designs, or other ornamental elements, in any materials which may include wood, plastic, metal, fabric, feathers, etc. Advantageously, these materials, not being in direct contact with the skin, do not induce a reaction in the user.
[0032] In one variant, the decorative element 5 comprises a hanging structure 5a with aesthetic elements on the hanging structure 5a.
[0033] According to the invention, the earring device 1 comprises a system of magnets in a particular mechanism.
[0034] More precisely, the device 1 comprises a base magnet 6 secured to the loop base 2, for example glued to the loop base 2. The reference C designates the gluing of the base magnet 6 to the base 2. An epoxy glue can for example be used. The base magnet 6 can be arranged on a side opposite the side of the needle 3.
[0035] Furthermore, the device further comprises at least one upper magnet 7 secured to the decorative element 5, for example glued to the decorative element 5.
[0036] The earring device 1 according to the invention has a particular assembly for forming the earring. More precisely, the earring is formed in a removable manner by affixing the base magnet 6 to the upper magnet 7. Reference A designates the joining of the magnets 6, 7 to each other.
[0037] Furthermore, the earring device 1 according to the invention has a particular disassembly for separating the upper magnet 7 from the base magnet 6.
[0038] Advantageously, the assembly / disassembly by the base magnet 6 and the upper magnet 7 makes it possible to have a mechanism allowing the decorative element 5 to be changed only by keeping the base 2 on the ear. Thus the user can change the design and style of earring as desired.
[0039] Furthermore, the assembly / disassembly by the base magnet 6 and the upper magnet 7 is a very easy to handle mechanism accessible to children and the elderly without the need for special dexterity or help from a third party.
[0040] In addition, skin or internal conditions are limited because if the user has a suitable needle 3 inserted in the ear, there is no risk in changing only the decorative element 5 unlike in the prior art where it was necessary to change the entire earring possibly with an earring posing more problems of allergies or conditions.
[0041] Preferably, the magnets 6, 7 are of a size small enough not to disturb the operation of electronic devices, in particular mobile telephones. The magnets 6, 7 are, for example, a few millimeters in size.
[0042] According to a variant, the needle 3, and preferably the base 2 and the clasp 4, comprise a hypoallergenic material. Preferably, the hypoallergenic material comprises silver, such as 925 silver, or gold. Advantageously, these materials make it possible to limit skin or internal conditions without using several bases made of rare materials. The decorative elements 5 can be made of any more common materials.
[0043] According to a variant, the earring base 2 comprises a lower support 8a receiving a lower part of the base magnet 6, and preferably a lower part of the upper magnet 7. The lower support 8a forms a reaction structure to the weight of said magnet(s) 6, 7, when the earring is worn. Advantageously, the lower support 8a makes it possible to counteract the weight of the magnet(s) 6, 7, or even also of the decorative element 5, which facilitates overall cohesion. The lower support 8a limits the risks of downward shearing on the glued sections and makes the bonding more effective, as well as the joining of the magnets 6, 7 to each other.
[0044] Alternatively or in combination, according to a variant, the loop base 2 comprises a lateral support 8b receiving a lateral part of the base magnet 6, and preferably a lateral part of the upper magnet 7. These are in particular two lateral supports 8b, one on each side. Advantageously, the lateral support 8b makes it possible to counteract lateral movements of the magnet(s) 6, 7 in use, or even also of the decorative element 5, which facilitates overall cohesion laterally. Similarly, the lateral support 8b limits the risks of lateral shearing on the bonded sections and makes the bonding more effective, as well as the joining of the magnets 6, 7 to each other.
[0045] More particularly, the lower support 8a and the lateral supports 8b form a support perimeter 8 producing the above-mentioned effects. The support perimeter 8 includes the lower 8a, lateral 8b and upper 8c support parts. The support perimeter 8 may have a cylindrical surface of revolution shape. The support perimeter 8 can be illustrated by [fig.4].
[0046] Preferably, said magnet 6, 7 is perfectly inscribed in the support or periphery for perfect cohesion of the earring.
[0047] The invention further relates to one or more earrings comprising a device 1 as described above, and one or more corresponding clasp(s) 4.
[0048] Another object of the invention relates to an earring kit comprising elements for several configurations of a device 1 as described above, or of earrings as described above.
[0049] The invention further relates to a method of changing earring(s) by means of a device 1 as described above, earrings as described above, or a kit as described above.
[0050] According to the invention, the needle 3 of the earring and the clasp 4 are held in place in the ear. A first decorative element 5 to be changed is arranged on the earring worn. The first decorative element 5 is disassembled from the base 2 by separating the base magnet 6 from the corresponding upper magnet 7.
[0051] A second decorative element 5 intended to replace the first decorative element 5 is then used. The second decorative element 5 is assembled to the base 2 by attaching the upper magnet 7 corresponding to the base magnet 6.
