Abstract
This invention concerns UNDERGROUND PERFORATED DRAINAGE CHANNEL WITH A FILTER FROM STYROFOAM WASTE AND COCONUT FIBER, more specifically, this invention relates to a drainage channel arrangement consisting of a 3 inch diameter perforated iron pipe with a hole at the top, styrofoam waste chips, wire ties, 1 cm thick coconut fiber, wire ties, and mosquito nets to produce a perforated drainage channel that can prevent landslides. The main purpose of this invention is to overcome the existing problems, especially Underground Perforated Drainage Channels With Filters From Styrofoam Waste And Coconut Fiber. The application of this drainage is by making an excavation (-1 m), where in the deepest layer there is a 2.5 cm thick layer of sand, then given 5 cm thick gravel, then drainage is laid on top of it. The entire drainage surface is covered by gravel, then coated with sand with a thickness of 2.5 cm, then filled with soil planted with ornamental grass. The results, during laboratory testing, the discharge after drainage increased compared to without drainage from 0.049 m3 / s to 0.1 m3 / s. The resulting permeability after drainage installation increased from 2.8 x 10-7 m / s to 1.67 x 10-5 m / s. This speed is close to the seepage speed in embankments that use non-woven geotextiles of 7.65 x 10-5 m / s.
