Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a powdered artificial hair material, and more particularly to a powdered artificial hair material that improves the appearance of the human head by applying it to thinning hair or gray hair areas on the head. [Background technology]
[0002] Artificial hair materials have been widely used for the purpose of temporarily making thinning hair or gray hair on the head less noticeable. Artificial hair materials come in two types: an aerosol type, in which a composition containing a pigment or the like and an adhesive resin is sprayed onto the hair to be used, and a powder type, in which a powdered artificial hair material is sprinkled onto the hair or scalp to be used.
[0003] The aerosol type has the advantage that it is easy to adhere to hair because an adhesive resin is mixed in. For example, Patent Documents 1 and 2 propose a spray composition for artificial hair thickening that contains a solid fine powder, carbon black, an adhesive resin, a volatile organic solvent, a dispersant, and a propellant. However, because it is applied as a spray, it has the disadvantage that it is difficult to adjust the amount of artificial hair material applied to each part as desired.
[0004] On the other hand, the powder type has the advantage that the amount of artificial hair material sprinkled can be easily adjusted and it can be sprinkled in a focused manner on the desired area because the powder type artificial hair material can be sprinkled with a puff or the like. Due to these advantages, many proposals have been made regarding powder artificial hair materials.
[0005] However, the powder type has the drawback of being weak in covering thinning hair and gray hair, and also has the drawback of being weak in water repellency, so that the artificial hair material tends to run off when the head gets wet from rain or sweat in daily life.
[0006] In order to solve this problem, a powdered artificial hair material containing zinc oxide and an inorganic pigment surface-treated with silicone has been developed (Patent Document 3). In Patent Document 3, zinc oxide is blended to improve the covering power and water repellency of thinning hair and gray hair, and the surface of the inorganic pigment is further treated with silicone to further improve the water repellency. Thus, the powdered artificial hair material of Patent Document 3 is excellent in covering power and water repellency of thinning hair and gray hair, but depending on the person (such as a person with significantly advanced thinning hair or a person with a lot of gray hair) or the environment (such as an environment where sweating is likely due to high temperatures), the covering power and water repellency of thinning hair and gray hair may not necessarily be sufficient. Therefore, there is a demand for the development of a powdered artificial hair material with even better covering power and water repellency of thinning hair and gray hair. [0011] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a powdered artificial hair material having excellent water repellency and ability to cover thinning hair and gray hair. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0012] The powdered artificial hair material of the present invention will be described in detail below. Note that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments shown below, and may be modified, added, modified, deleted, or otherwise altered within the scope of what a person skilled in the art can conceive, and any embodiment is within the scope of the present invention as long as it exhibits the functions and effects of the present invention.
[0013] 1. Powdered artificial hair material The powdered artificial hair material of the present invention means a powdered artificial hair material that is used by sprinkling it on the hair or scalp in a powdered state using a puff, etc. The powdered artificial hair material of the present invention does not include an artificial hair material in which a composition obtained by mixing an adhesive resin, a solvent, etc. with a solid fine powder is applied to the hair or scalp as an aerosol. The powdered artificial hair material of the present invention can be used as is by sprinkling it on the hair or scalp with a puff or the like, but adhesion to the hair or scalp can be further improved by applying an adhesion spray after sprinkling it on the scalp or hair.
[0014] The powdered artificial hair material of the present invention contains an inorganic pigment surface-treated with one or more selected from a silane coupling agent and a metal soap as an essential component. As described below, the inclusion of an inorganic pigment surface-treated with one or more selected from a silane coupling agent and a metal soap provides excellent thinning hair and gray hair coverage and water repellency. The excellent water repellency has the advantage that the artificial hair material is less likely to run off even when the head gets wet from rain or sweat in daily life.
[0015] The average particle size of the powdery artificial hair material of the present invention is not particularly limited, but is preferably 0.001 μm or more, more preferably 0.01 μm or more, and even more preferably 0.1 μm or more. Also, it is preferably less than 20 μm, more preferably less than 15 μm, even more preferably less than 10 μm, and particularly preferably less than 5 μm.
[0016] In addition to the inorganic pigment surface-treated with one or more selected from the group consisting of a silane coupling agent and a metal soap, the powdery artificial hair material of the present invention may contain other ingredients as necessary. For example, it may contain a preservative, a hair conditioning agent, a plant-derived extract, an animal-derived extract, a moisturizer, etc.
[0017] 2. Inorganic pigments The powdered artificial hair material of the present invention contains an inorganic pigment. In the present invention, the inorganic pigment includes a coloring pigment for coloring hair as well as an extender pigment. Examples of the coloring pigment include iron oxide such as black iron oxide, yellow iron oxide, and red iron oxide (red iron oxide), titanium oxide, and zirconium oxide. Examples of the extender pigment include mica, aluminum hydroxide, talc, and silica. The inorganic pigment used in the present invention is not particularly limited, but iron oxide is particularly preferred from the viewpoint of easily achieving an appearance similar to hair. Note that organic pigments are also commonly used in cosmetics, but they are not suitable as pigments for use in powdered artificial hair materials because they may dissolve in sweat or sebum, or may be adsorbed on the skin and become difficult to remove.
[0018] When iron oxide is used, any one of black iron oxide, yellow iron oxide, red iron oxide (red iron oxide), etc. may be used, or multiple iron oxides may be mixed. By mixing multiple iron oxides, the color of the powdered artificial hair material can be adjusted in various ways. When mixing multiple iron oxides, the type and amount of iron oxide to be mixed may be appropriately adjusted to obtain the desired color, but it is preferable to use black iron oxide from the viewpoint of easily achieving an appearance similar to black hair of Japanese people. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of easily achieving an appearance similar to black hair of Japanese people, it is preferable that the content of iron oxide is the highest among the inorganic pigments to be mixed, and it is particularly preferable that the content of black iron oxide is the highest.
[0019] The content of the inorganic pigment can be appropriately changed, but from the viewpoint of easily achieving an appearance similar to hair, the content of the inorganic pigment in the powdered artificial hair material is preferably 30% by mass or more, more preferably 50% by mass or more, even more preferably 70% by mass or more, and particularly preferably 80% by mass or more. In addition, since the powdered artificial hair material contains at least one selected from a silane coupling agent and a metal soap in addition to the inorganic pigment, the content of the inorganic pigment in the powdered artificial hair material is preferably less than 99.99% by mass, more preferably less than 99.9% by mass, even more preferably less than 99.8% by mass, and particularly preferably less than 99.5% by mass. In the present application, the content of the inorganic pigment means the content of the inorganic pigment itself, and does not include the components used for surface treatment of the inorganic pigment. In the inorganic pigment, the proportion of the inorganic pigment surface-treated with one or more selected from a silane coupling agent and a metal soap is not particularly limited, but may be, for example, 10% by mass or more, 30% by mass or more, or 50% by mass or more.
[0020] The average particle size of the inorganic pigment is not particularly limited, but is preferably 0.001 μm or more, more preferably 0.01 μm or more, and even more preferably 0.1 μm or more, and is preferably less than 20 μm, more preferably less than 15 μm, even more preferably less than 10 μm, and particularly preferably less than 5 μm.
[0021] Surface treatment of inorganic pigments The inorganic pigment of the present invention is characterized in that it is surface-treated with one or more selected from a silane coupling agent and a metal soap. As described in Patent Document 3, when the inorganic pigment to be blended in the powdered artificial hair material is surface-treated, it has been common to treat it with silicone from the viewpoint of improving uniformity, gloss, luster, smoothness to the touch, and water repellency. However, as a result of intensive research by the present inventors, it has surprisingly been found that when an inorganic pigment surface-treated with one or more selected from a silane coupling agent and a metal soap is used, it is possible to obtain a powdered artificial hair material that has a superior ability to cover thin hair and gray hair and is also excellent in water repellency compared to an inorganic pigment surface-treated with silicone. In this application, the component (such as a silane coupling agent) used for surface treatment of the inorganic pigment is also referred to as a surface treatment agent.
[0022] The surface-treated inorganic pigment of the present invention may be any pigment that has been surface-treated with one or more selected from a silane coupling agent and a metal soap, and for example, a commercially available raw material may be used. In the present invention, an inorganic pigment that has been surface-treated not only with a silane coupling agent and / or a metal soap but also with a mixture of them and other surface treatment agents may be used.

In the present invention, the silane coupling agent used for the surface treatment of the inorganic pigment is not particularly limited, but from the viewpoint of exhibiting particularly excellent covering power for thinning hair and gray hair and water repellency, it is preferably one or more selected from alkyl silanes and fluoroalkyl silanes, and particularly preferably one or more selected from triethoxy caprylyl silane and perfluorooctyl triethoxy silane.
[0024] (Metal soap) Metal soap means a salt of a metal other than sodium and potassium and a saturated or unsaturated higher fatty acid. The higher fatty acid constituting the metal salt may be, for example, a saturated or unsaturated higher fatty acid having 8 to 24 carbon atoms, and specifically includes stearic acid, palmitic acid, myristic acid, isostearic acid, etc. The higher fatty acid constituting the metal salt is not particularly limited, but stearic acid is particularly preferred from the viewpoint of exhibiting excellent covering power for thinning hair and gray hair and water repellency. The metal constituting the metal soap is, for example, magnesium, aluminum, calcium, zinc, etc. The metal constituting the metal salt is not particularly limited, but magnesium is particularly preferred from the viewpoint of exhibiting excellent covering power for thinning hair and gray hair and water repellency.
[0025] Specific examples of metal soaps include magnesium stearate, aluminum stearate, calcium stearate, zinc stearate, magnesium palmitate, aluminum palmitate, calcium palmitate, zinc palmitate, magnesium myristate, aluminum myristate, calcium myristate, zinc myristate, magnesium isostearate, aluminum isostearate, calcium isostearate, zinc isostearate, magnesium distearate, magnesium oleate, magnesium laurate, aluminum dimyristate, etc. The metal soap used in the present invention is not particularly limited, but from the viewpoint of exhibiting excellent covering power for thinning hair and gray hair and water repellency, stearates are particularly preferred, and magnesium stearate is most preferred.
[0026] (Method of surface treatment of inorganic pigments) The method for surface-treating the inorganic pigment is not particularly limited, and the surface can be treated by using a known method. Surface treatment methods are roughly divided into wet methods and dry methods, but regardless of the method used for surface treatment, a surface-treated inorganic pigment that exhibits the effects of the present invention can be obtained by using one or more surface treatment agents selected from a silane coupling agent and a metal soap.
[0027] Examples of surface treatment by wet method include a method of dispersing an inorganic pigment in a solvent or water / solvent liquid, adding a surface treatment agent while stirring, and then filtering and drying to produce a surface-treated inorganic pigment. More specifically, for example, an inorganic pigment is put into a kneader, and while kneading, a solution in which a silane coupling agent and / or a metal soap is dissolved in a solvent is added and mixed, and then the reduced pressure state is maintained at 50 to 80°C for 2 to 4 hours to distill off the solvent, and then the contents are taken out of the kneader and put into a dryer, dried at 80 to 120°C for 5 to 10 hours, and then pulverized using a pulverizer to produce a surface-treated inorganic pigment.
[0028] Surface treatment by the dry method includes a method in which a surface treatment agent is dissolved in a volatile solvent such as isoparaffin or isopropyl alcohol, mixed with an inorganic pigment using an agitator or grinder such as a Henschel mixer, a ball mill, or a jet mill, and then the volatile solvent is evaporated to produce a surface-treated inorganic pigment. If necessary, impurities may be removed by washing with water or filtration, or drying or grinding may be performed. More specifically, for example, an inorganic pigment is charged into a Henschel mixer, a solvent in which a silane coupling agent and / or a metal soap is dissolved is added, and the mixture is stirred and mixed in the Henschel mixer, and then the mixture is heated while being stirred, and the Henschel mixer is further reduced in pressure to remove the solvent, and the contents are taken out of the Henschel mixer and charged into a dryer, dried at 80 to 120 ° C. for 5 to 10 hours, and then ground using a grinder to produce a surface-treated inorganic pigment.
[0029] The solvent for dissolving the silane coupling agent and / or metal soap during surface treatment is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include organic solvents such as petroleum ether, hexane, cyclohexane, heptane, octane, diethyl ether, diisopropyl ether, chloroform, dichloromethane, t-butyl methyl ether, ethyl acetate, propyl acetate, butyl acetate, isopropyl acetate, toluene, and xylene. One or more of these solvents may be used.
[0030] In the surface-treated inorganic pigment, the weight ratio of the inorganic pigment to the surface treatment agent is not particularly limited, but for example, the amount of the surface treatment agent is preferably 0.1 parts by mass or more, more preferably 0.5 parts by mass or more, and even more preferably 1 part by mass or more, relative to 100 parts by mass of the inorganic pigment. Also, the amount of the surface treatment agent is preferably 20 parts by mass or less, more preferably 10 parts by mass or less, and even more preferably 5 parts by mass or less, relative to 100 parts by mass of the pigment.
[0031] 4. Manufacturing method of powdered artificial hair material The method for producing the powdered artificial hair material of the present invention is not particularly limited, and the powdered artificial hair material can be obtained by using a known method. For example, the inorganic pigment obtained by the above-mentioned method, which has been surface-treated with one or more selected from a silane coupling agent and a metal soap, is used as it is as a powdered artificial hair material, the inorganic pigment and other raw materials are placed in a container such as a plastic bag, the mouth of the container is closed, and the mixture obtained by shaking up and down is used as a powdered artificial hair material, and the inorganic pigment and other raw materials are mixed using a mixer, the mixture obtained is crushed by a crusher, and the powder obtained by sieving is used as a powdered artificial hair material. In the case of mass production, it is preferable to manufacture using a commercially available mixer or the like.
[0032] 5. How to use the powdered artificial hair material The powdered artificial hair material of the present invention can be used by applying it directly to the hair or scalp using a puff or the like. The application method is not particularly limited, but examples include a method of taking the powder on a puff or brush and applying the powdered artificial hair material to the hair or scalp, and a method of filling the powdered artificial hair material and applying the powdered artificial hair material by contacting the puff part of a container with a puff attached to the filling part to the hair or scalp. When a container with a puff is used, the powdered artificial hair material passes through the puff little by little by tapping it lightly on the area to be applied, so that the desired amount of artificial hair material can be applied, and further, it can be applied more locally to the area to be applied.
[0033] After the powdered artificial hair material of the present invention is applied to the hair or scalp, it may be blended into the hair or scalp by hand or by using a comb, etc. In addition, a fixing spray may be applied to make the powdered artificial hair material less likely to fall off.
[0034] Among the above, it is preferable to apply a fixing spray after applying the powdered artificial hair material. This can further improve adhesion. The powdered artificial hair material of the present invention has the characteristic that it adheres evenly to hair such as gray hair, and is therefore easily fixed with a fixing spray.
[0035] The adhesive in the adhesive spray is not particularly limited and can be changed as appropriate, but for example, an adhesive spray containing a film-forming agent can be used. Examples of the film-forming agent include (alkyl acrylate / diacetone acrylamide) copolymer AMP. EXAMPLES

[0050] 2. Evaluation of gray hair coverage A) Visual evaluation test of gray hair coverage Powdered artificial hair materials of Examples 1-3 and Comparative Examples 1-7 were produced by the method described below, and their gray hair covering power was evaluated. [Test Method] For the powdery artificial hair materials of Examples 1 to 3 and Comparative Examples 1 to 7, a visual evaluation test for gray hair covering power was carried out by the following method. First, 5 g of the powdered artificial hair material of the Example or Comparative Example was filled into an application container with a puff attached to the opening, and the powdered artificial hair material was applied 100 times to the gray hair bundle by bringing the puff part into contact with the gray hair bundle (about 10 cm, about 1 g) (one application was counted when the puff part came into contact with the hair bundle). The artificial hair material was applied so that it was evenly attached to the entire gray hair bundle, and the amount applied in the Comparative Example and Example was unified. The amount applied was about 30 mg. After application, the root of the hair bundle was pinched with the index finger and thumb, and shook left and right 10 times (left and right swing width 10 cm, one round trip counted as one round, speed 1 round / second) to shake off the powdered artificial hair material that was not firmly attached to the hair. The same person performed the work for all Examples and Comparative Examples, and great care was taken to ensure that the work was the same for all Examples and Comparative Examples.
[0051] The hair bundles were then arranged on a sheet of white paper, and the artificial hair material that had not been shaken off was visually evaluated for its ability to evenly cover the gray hair bundles (gray hair covering power). The evaluation was carried out by three expert panelists engaged in the development of artificial hair materials, based on the following evaluation criteria.
[0052] (Evaluation criteria for gray hair covering ability by visual observation) ◎: The artificial hair material is evenly attached to the entire gray hair, making it look like black hair. Good: There are some areas that look slightly gray, but the artificial hair material is generally evenly applied to the entire gray hair, so the gray hair is not noticeable (within acceptable limits). ×: There are many areas that look gray, and the gray hair is noticeable
[0053] [Test Results] The evaluation results are shown below. The evaluations by the three panelists were the same for all Examples and Comparative Examples. From these results, it was found that by using an inorganic pigment surface-treated with one or more selected from a silane coupling agent and a metal soap, a powdered artificial hair material exhibiting excellent gray hair covering power can be obtained.
[0054] [Table 1]
[0055] B) Evaluation test of gray hair covering power by brightness For the powdery artificial hair materials of Examples 1 to 3 and Comparative Examples 1 and 8 to 10, a test was carried out to evaluate the gray hair covering power based on the L* value (brightness) of the L*a*b* color system.
[0056] [L*a*b* color system] The L*a*b* color system (L*a*b* color system) is an index used to represent the color of an object. It was standardized by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) in 1976 and is the color system most commonly used to represent color difference (the difference between colors). In the L*a*b* color system, the L* value represents lightness. The L* value is expressed as a number between 0 and 100, with larger numbers indicating lighter (whiter) and smaller numbers indicating darker (blacker). The a* and b* values represent chromaticity (hue and saturation). The more the a* value increases in the positive direction, the more reddish the color becomes, and the more negative the value, the more greenish the color becomes. The more the b* value increases in the positive direction, the more yellowish the color becomes, and the more negative the value, the more blueish the color becomes.
[0057] Gray hair covering power can be evaluated by the L* value. When a powdered artificial hair material (black color) is applied to a bundle of gray hair, the more evenly the powdered artificial hair material covers the entire gray hair, the smaller the L* value becomes.
[0058] [Test Method] 5 g of the powdered artificial hair material of the Example or Comparative Example was filled into an application container with a puff attached to the opening, and the powdered artificial hair material was applied 200 times to the gray hair bundle by bringing the puff part into contact with the gray hair bundle (about 10 cm, about 1 g) (one application was counted when the puff part came into contact with the hair bundle).
[0059] Thereafter, the L* value was measured for the bundle of gray hairs to which the artificial hair material was applied. A color difference meter (Color Reader CR-20, manufactured by Konica Minolta, Inc.) was used to measure the L* value, and the measurement conditions were a viewing angle of 10° and a light source of D65. Three measurements were taken, and the average value was calculated, and the gray hair covering power was evaluated based on the following evaluation criteria.
[0060] (Evaluation standard for gray hair coverage based on L* value) 〇: L* value is less than 23 ×: L* value is 23 or more
[0061] [Test Results] The evaluation results are shown below. These results confirmed that by using an inorganic pigment that has been surface-treated with at least one selected from a silane coupling agent and a metal soap, a powdered artificial hair material that exhibits excellent gray hair covering power can be obtained, as confirmed by evaluation using the L* value (brightness).
[0062] [Table 2]
[0063] 3. Water repellency evaluation For the powdery artificial hair materials of Examples 1 to 3 and Comparative Examples 1 and 8 to 10, a test was carried out to evaluate the water repellency based on the contact angle when water was dropped onto them.
[0064] [Contact angle] The contact angle is the angle between the liquid surface and the solid surface when the surface of a stationary liquid is in contact with the wall of a solid. It is determined by surface tension, and is an acute angle when the liquid wets the solid surface (such as water in a glass tube), and an obtuse angle when the liquid does not wet the solid surface (such as mercury in a glass tube). When using water as the liquid, the larger the contact angle (obtuse angle), the less likely the solid is to become wetted by water, and the more water-repellent it is.
[0065] [Test Method] 5 g of the powdered artificial hair material of the Example or Comparative Example was filled into an application container with a puff attached to the opening, and the puff was brought into contact with copy paper (plain paper with a circle of 5 cm in diameter) to apply the powdered artificial hair material 200 times to the inside of the circle drawn on the paper (one application was counted when the puff touched the hair bundle once). The powdered artificial hair material was applied so that it adhered evenly to the inside of the circle, and the amount applied in the Comparative Example and Example was made uniform. The amount applied was about 30 mg. The same person performed the work for all Examples and Comparative Examples, and great care was taken to ensure that the work was the same for all Examples and Comparative Examples.
[0066] Then, 0.1 mL of purified water was dropped onto the center of the circle drawn on the paper using a dropper, and an image was taken from the side 30 seconds later. An iPhone 8 was used to take the image. The captured image data was imported into a PC and opened in Power Point 13 (Microsoft Japan Co., Ltd.), and the contact angle was measured using an image of a protractor with a transparent background. The evaluation criteria for water repellency based on contact angle are as follows.
[0067] (Evaluation criteria for water repellency based on contact angle) ○: Contact angle is 150 degrees or more △: Contact angle is 100 degrees or more and less than 150 degrees ×: Contact angle is less than 100 degrees
[0068] [Test Results] The evaluation results are shown below. These results demonstrate that by using an inorganic pigment whose surface is treated with at least one of a silane coupling agent and a metal soap, a powdered artificial hair material with excellent water repellency can be obtained.
[0069] [Table 3]
[0070] 4. Summary The above-mentioned tests 2 and 3 demonstrated that by using an inorganic pigment whose surface is treated with one or more of a silane coupling agent and a metal soap, a powdered artificial hair material having excellent gray hair covering power and water repellency can be obtained.
[0071] 5. Manufacturing powdered artificial hair material Each inorganic pigment shown in Table 4 was surface-treated by a dry method using the surface treatment agent shown. The obtained inorganic pigments were mixed in a mixer, pulverized in a grinder, and then sieved to produce the powdered artificial hair materials of Examples 4 to 16. All of the obtained powdered artificial hair materials were excellent in covering power for thinning hair and gray hair, and in water repellency.
[0072] [Table 4] [Industrial Applicability]
[0073] The present invention can be applied to scalp and hair cosmetics used to temporarily make thinning hair or gray hair on the human head less noticeable.
