Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0004] The above-described electronic device can be expected to prevent foreign matter such as dust and dirt from entering the housing from the outside of the housing. However, depending on the load applied to the dust cover by the foreign matter, there is a possibility that the gap between the connector and the dust cover cannot be maintained to prevent the foreign matter from entering. From the above viewpoints or other viewpoints not mentioned, further improvement of the electronic device is required.

[0005] One object of the disclosure is to provide an electronic device capable of maintaining a gap between a connector and a cover.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0006] The electronic device disclosed herein is an electronic device including a circuit board (50) having a connector (53) and a case (10) for housing the circuit board, wherein the case A cover (40, 40a to 40d) provided with an opening (4h) for a connector where the connector is disposed, a housing part (20, 30) to which the cover is fixed and which forms an accommodation space (24) for a circuit board together with the cover, The cover, a first cover part (41, 41a to 41d) made of a soft material, a second cover part (42) made of a hard material that is in contact with the first cover part and is provided with an opening for the connector, wherein the first cover part holds the second cover part in a movable state.

[0007] In the electronic device, the second cover part may be pressed by the connector due to displacement of the connector or accumulation of tolerances of the connector or the like. However, the second cover part is held in a movable state by the first cover part made of a soft material. Therefore, the pressing force from the connector can be absorbed by the first cover part. For this reason, the electronic device can easily maintain the gap between the second cover part and the connector so that foreign matter does not enter.

[0008] Further, in the electronic device, the second cover part provided with the opening for the connector is made of a hard material. Therefore, even if a load is applied to the second cover part from foreign matter, the electronic device can suppress deformation of the second cover part. Thus, the electronic device can maintain the gap between the connector and the cover.

[0009] The plurality of aspects disclosed in this specification employ different technical means to achieve their respective purposes. The reference numerals in parentheses described in the claims and this section exemplify the correspondence with parts of the embodiments described later, and are not intended to limit the technical scope. The objects, features, and effects disclosed in this specification will become clearer by referring to the subsequent detailed description and the accompanying drawings.

Modes for Carrying Out the Invention

[0011] Hereinafter, a plurality of modes for carrying out the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings. In each mode, parts corresponding to those described in the preceding mode may be denoted by the same reference numerals and redundant descriptions may be omitted. In each mode, when only a part of the configuration is described, other parts of the configuration can be referred to and applied to other modes described previously.

[0012] (First Embodiment) The electronic device 100 according to the first embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5. The electronic device 100 is configured to be mountable on a moving body, for example. Examples of the moving body include vehicles such as electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and fuel cell vehicles, flying bodies such as electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft and drones, ships, construction machines, and agricultural machines.

[0013] In this embodiment, as an example, the electronic device 100 is applied to an anti-theft device for a vehicle. The anti-theft device is an immobilizer device, a locking device, or the like. Therefore, the electronic device 100 needs to comply with, for example, the agreement rules (UN R116) related to the anti-theft device. In addition, in order to comply with the rules, it is necessary to satisfy the IP40 requirement. The IP40 requirement is a requirement to protect so that a solid object with a diameter of 1.0 mm (φ1) or more does not enter the case. In the IP40 requirement, a structure is required in which a test rod (φ1 + 0.05 / 0) cannot enter the case even if it is inserted into the case with a load of 1 ± 0.1 N.

[0014] <Overall Configuration and Circuit Board> As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the electronic device 100 includes a circuit board 50 and a case 10 that houses the circuit board 50. A plurality of circuit components 52 and connectors 53 are mounted on the wiring board 51 of the circuit board 50. The wiring board 51 is a board in which conductive wiring is formed on an electrically insulating board. The wiring board 51 is fixed to the case 10 via bolts or the like.

[0015] The circuit components 52 and the connectors 53 are electrically connected to the wiring in a state of being mounted on the wiring board 51. The connector 53 is for electrically connecting the electronic device 100 and an in-vehicle device provided outside the electronic device 100. The connector 53 includes a terminal electrically connected to the wiring of the wiring board 51 and a connector case surrounding the terminal.

[0016] In this embodiment, as an example, an example in which the circuit components 52 and the connectors 53 are mounted on the front surface side of the wiring board 51 is adopted. However, the present disclosure is not limited to this. The connector 53 may be mounted on the back surface of the wiring board 51. Further, the circuit components 52 may be mounted on both the front and back surfaces of the wiring board 51 or only on the back surface of the wiring board 51. The front surface is the surface on the lid member 30 side. On the other hand, the back surface is the opposite surface of the front surface. The back surface is a surface facing the bottom wall 21 of the base 20 described later.

[0017] As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the connector 53 includes, for example, four side surfaces S1 to S4 that form the outer periphery. The side surfaces S1 to S4 are the outer surfaces of the connector case. However, the side surfaces of the connector 53 may be circular (curved surfaces).

[0018] A part of the connector 53 is disposed in the accommodation space 24, which will be described later. Another part of the connector 53 is disposed outside the accommodation space 24. The connector 53 has a first end portion EP1, which is the end portion on the accommodation space 24 side, and a second end portion EP2, which is the end portion on the outside of the accommodation space 24.

[0019] The connector 53 is configured to be attachable to the vehicle-side connector 200. The vehicle-side connector 200 is attached to the second end portion EP2 side of the connector 53. The vehicle-side connector 200 includes terminals and a connector case, similar to the connector 53. Further, the vehicle-side connector 200 is provided with a harness 210 electrically connected to the terminals.

[0020] When the connector 53 and the vehicle-side connector 200 are attached, their terminals are electrically connected to each other. The electronic device 100 is electrically connected to the in-vehicle device via the vehicle-side connector 200 and the harness 210. Note that the vehicle-side connector 200 corresponds to the mating connector.

[0021] <Case> As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the case 10 includes a base 20, a lid member 30, and a front cover 40. In FIG. 1, the first cover portion 41 of the front cover 40 and the lid member 30 are shown in a simplified manner. The base 20 and the lid member 30 correspond to the accommodation portion. That is, in the present embodiment, as an example, an accommodation portion including the base 20 and the lid member 30 is adopted.

[0022] As shown in FIG. 2, the base 20 has a bottom wall 21 and side walls 22 connected to the bottom wall 21. Further, a pedestal 23 on which the circuit board 50 is mounted is provided on the bottom wall 21. The pedestal 23 is also a part where the circuit board 50 is fixed. The pedestal 23 is a protruding member compared to its surroundings. The pedestal 23 is provided, for example, at four locations on the bottom wall 21. In FIG. 2 etc., only some of the pedestals 23 are illustrated in order to simplify the drawing. Also, it can be said that the base 20 has side walls 22 on three sides.

[0023] The lid member 30 is provided so as to face the surface of the wiring board 51. The lid member 30 is attached so as to sandwich a part of the circuit board 50 between it and the base 20. Also, the lid member 30 is, for example, screwed and fixed to the base 20 together with the circuit board 50. Note that the configuration and attachment structure of the lid member 30 are not particularly limited. For example, in a configuration where the connector 53 is mounted on the back surface of the wiring board 51, the connector 53 is disposed between the wiring board 51 and the bottom wall 21. And the lid member 30 may be in annular contact with the surface of the wiring board 51 so as to surround all the circuit components 52.

[0024] Furthermore, the configuration of the housing portion is not limited to the above. The present disclosure can also be adopted for a housing portion in which the base 20 and the lid member 30 are configured as an integral body. That is, a configuration of the housing portion having a bottom wall 21, side walls 22 connected to the bottom wall 21, and an upper wall connected to the side walls 22 and facing the bottom wall 21 can also be adopted.

[0025] Also, as shown in FIG. 2, the front cover 40 is provided so as to face the first end face OS1 of the base 20 and the second end face OS2 of the lid member 30. The first end face OS1 is the end face of the bottom wall 21 and the side walls 22. The end faces OS1, OS2 are the faces facing the front cover 40. In the present embodiment, as an example, the end faces OS1, OS2 which are flat surfaces are adopted.

[0026] The front cover 40 is fixed to the base 20 with bolts 60. That is, the front cover 40 is fixed to the base 20 by screwing. Incidentally, it can also be said that the front cover 40 is fixed to the base 20 and the lid member 30. The bolt 60 can also be said to be a fixing member.

[0027] Incidentally, as shown in FIG. 5, the front cover 40 is provided with screw holes 61 into which the bolts 60 are inserted. On the other hand, the base 20 is provided with female screws corresponding to the male screws of the bolts 60. The front cover 40 will be described in detail later.

[0028] As described above, the case 10 is formed by assembling the base 20, the lid member 30, and the front cover 40. The front cover 40 is disposed opposite to the opening 24a and is assembled to the base 20 so as to be in contact with the end faces OS1 and OS2. Further, the case 10 forms an accommodation space 24 for the circuit board 50 by the base 20, the lid member 30, and the front cover 40. Incidentally, the base 20 and the lid member 30 can also be said to be members that form the accommodation space 24 for the circuit board 50 together with the front cover 40. Incidentally, it can also be said that the front cover 40 forms an annular wall of the case 10 together with the side wall 22.

[0029] The front cover 40 corresponds to a cover. The base 20 and the lid member 30 correspond to a housing portion. Hereinafter, when there is no need to distinguish between the base 20 and the lid member 30, it is also referred to as a housing portion. The state in which the base 20, the lid member 30, and the front cover 40 are assembled is also simply referred to as an assembled state.

[0030] Note that the front cover 40 can be said to be fixed to the housing portion by screwing. However, the front cover 40 may be fixed to the housing portion by a method different from screwing. For example, the front cover 40 and the housing portion may be fixed by a snap fit. In this case, the front cover 40 is provided with a first snap fit mechanism. On the other hand, the housing portion is provided with a second snap fit mechanism that engages with the first snap fit mechanism. Therefore, the electronic device 100 does not need to use the bolts 60 and the number of parts can be reduced. Note that both snap fit mechanisms can also be said to be fixing members. Also, the first snap fit mechanism can be said to be a fixing portion.

[0031] Furthermore, the front cover 40 may be fixed to the housing portion by heat caulking or the like. Even in this case, the electronic device 100 does not need to use the bolts 60 and the number of parts can be reduced.

[0032] <Front cover> Here, the front cover 40 will be described with reference to FIGS. 2 to 5. FIG. 4 omits the housing portion, the wiring board 51, etc. in order to show the relationship between the connector 53 and the front cover 40.

[0033] As shown in FIG. 2, the front cover 40 includes three members: a first cover portion 41, a second cover portion 42, and a third cover portion 43. The front cover 40 is also provided with a connector opening 4h where the connector 53 is disposed. In other words, the front cover 40 is provided with a through hole so that the connector 53 and the vehicle-side connector 200 can be connected. The connector opening 4h can also be referred to as a connector arrangement hole, a connector insertion hole, etc.

[0034] Note that in this embodiment, as an example, a front cover 40 provided with one connector opening 4h is adopted. However, the front cover 40 only needs to be provided with at least one connector opening 4h. Therefore, the front cover 40 may be provided with two or more connector openings 4h.

[0035] As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, etc., the front cover 40 includes a second cover portion 42 provided with a connector opening 4h, a first cover portion 41 surrounding the second cover portion 42, and a third cover portion 43 surrounding the first cover portion 41. The first cover portion 41 is provided in contact with the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43. The three cover portions 41 to 43 are configured as an integral body.

[0036] First, the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 will be described. The second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 are made of a hard material. The second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 are configured mainly of, for example, a hard resin. The hard resin is polypropylene or the like. Note that polypropylene is a hard resin of a propylene polymer. That is, the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 are made of a general-purpose plastic. The second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 are harder than the first cover portion 41. Also, the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 have electrical insulation properties. Therefore, the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 can be made lighter in weight than those made mainly of metal.

[0037] However, the constituent materials of the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 are not limited to the above. The second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 may be a hard material having conductivity. For example, the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 may be configured mainly of a metal such as aluminum, copper, or iron. In this case, the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 can improve the shielding property against noise more than those configured mainly of a hard resin. Also, the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 can improve the rigidity more than those configured mainly of a hard resin.

[0038] As shown in FIGS. 2, 3, 4, and 5, the second cover portion 42 is a member having a rectangular contour. The second cover portion 42 is provided with a connector opening 4h. Therefore, the second cover portion 42 is provided annularly. The connector opening 4h is a through hole that opens in the plate thickness direction of the second cover portion 42. In the present embodiment, as an example, the second cover portion 42 provided with one connector opening 4h is adopted.

[0039] As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the second cover portion 42 is provided with a connector opening 4h having an opening area wider than the outer periphery of the connector 53. Therefore, in the assembled state, a gap is formed at least in part between the second cover portion 42 and the side surfaces S1 to S4 of the connector 53. The connector opening 4h of the second cover portion 42 is formed so as to provide a gap sufficient to satisfy the requirements of the above rule (IP40 requirement). The connector opening 4h of the second cover portion 42 is formed so as to provide a gap of, for example, 0.3 mm or less in consideration of displacement of the connector 53. That is, the connector opening 4h of the second cover portion 42 is formed so that the gap does not exceed 1 mm even if the connector 53 is displaced.

[0040] However, the front cover 40 may be in contact with the side surfaces S1 to S4. In this case, the second cover portion 42 is provided with a connector opening 4h having an opening area equivalent to the outer periphery of the connector 53.

[0041] The third cover portion 43 is a member having a rectangular contour. The third cover portion 43 is provided annularly to surround the first cover portion 41. The third cover portion 43 is provided with screw holes 61. The third cover portion 43 is fixed to the base 20. The screw holes 61 are the portions into which the fixing bolts 60 are inserted. Therefore, the screw holes 61 can also be said to be fixing portions. Also, it can be said that the third cover portion 43 has a fixing portion including the screw holes 61.

[0042] Next, the first cover part 41 will be described. The first cover part 41 is made of a soft material. The first cover part 41 is composed mainly of, for example, a soft resin. The soft resin is an elastomer or the like. Note that an elastomer is a soft resin having rubber elasticity. Therefore, the first cover part 41 can elastically return to its original shape after tensile deformation or compressive deformation. Also, the first cover part 41 has electrical insulation properties.

[0043] However, the constituent material of the first cover part 41 is not limited to the above. The first cover part 41 may be a soft material having conductivity. Also, the first cover part 41 may be a mixture of a soft resin and a conductive filler. In this case, the first cover part 41 can improve the shielding property against noise compared to the one having electrical insulation properties.

[0044] As shown in FIG. 2, the first cover part 41 is a member having a rectangular contour. The first cover part 41 is provided annularly to surround the second cover part 42. The first cover part 41 is provided between the third cover part 43 and the second cover part 42. Also, it can be said that the first cover part 41 is provided between a fixing member such as a bolt 60 and the second cover part 42. That is, it can be said that the first cover part 41 is provided between the second cover part 42 and the fixing part in the front cover 40.

[0045] It can also be said that the first cover part 41 has an annular inner peripheral surface and an annular outer peripheral surface. The inner peripheral surface of the first cover part 41 is in contact with the second cover part 42. On the other hand, the outer peripheral surface of the first cover part 41 is in contact with the third cover part 43. Therefore, the third cover part 43 is provided without contacting the second cover part 42. Hereinafter, the inner peripheral surface of the first cover part 41 will also be simply referred to as the inner peripheral surface. Similarly, the outer peripheral surface of the first cover part 41 will also be simply referred to as the outer peripheral surface.

[0046] The first cover part 41 is made of a soft material as described above. Therefore, the first cover part 41 holds the second cover part 42 in a movable state. Also, it can be said that it is provided to absorb the pressing force when a pressing force is applied to the second cover part 42. That is, the first cover part 41 can be said to be a buffer member, a stress absorbing member, etc.

[0047] The front cover 40 is provided so as not to protrude toward the accommodation space 24 side from the first end portion EP1. As a result, the electronic device 100 can be assembled so that the connector opening 4h is fitted to the connector 53. Therefore, the assembling stability between the case 10 and the connector 53 of the electronic device 100 is increased.

[0048] Furthermore, the front cover 40 is provided so as not to protrude outside from the second end portion EP2. As a result, the electronic device 100 can suppress interference between the vehicle side connector 200 and the front cover 40.

[0049] As shown in FIG. 4, the second cover part 42 has the same plate thickness as the third cover part 43. Also, the first cover part 41 has a thinner plate thickness than the second cover part 42 and the third cover part 43. In this way, the front cover 40 can secure strength by increasing the plate thickness of the second cover part 42 and the third cover part 43 made of a hard material.

[0050] However, the present disclosure is not limited to this. The front cover 40 can employ cover parts 41 to 43 having the same plate thickness as long as the strength can be secured. Also, the second cover part 42 may have a thinner plate thickness than the third cover part 43. As a result, the front cover 40 can be easily made not to protrude toward the accommodation space 24 side from the first end portion EP1. Furthermore, the front cover 40 can be easily made not to protrude outside from the second end portion EP2.

[0051] As shown in Fig. 3, the four corners of the first cover portion 41 are right angles. That is, the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface have right angles at the four corners. Similarly, the four corners of the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 are right angles.

[0052] However, the four corners of the first cover portion 41 may be rounded. That is, the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface may have curved surfaces at the four corners. In this case, the four corners of the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 are curved surfaces.

[0053] The cover portions 41 to 43 are provided as an integral body. For example, the cover portions 41 to 43 are fixed by thermocompression bonding, adhesion with an adhesive, or the like. Also, the cover portions 41 to 43 are fixed to each other by two-color molding. By manufacturing the front cover 40 by two-color molding, mass production with low cost and stable quality becomes possible.

[0054] <Effect> In the electronic device 100, due to the displacement of the connector 53 or the accumulation of tolerances such as the connector 53, the second cover portion 42 may be pressed by the connector 53. However, the second cover portion 42 is held in a movable state by the first cover portion 41 which is a soft material. Therefore, the pressing force from the connector 53 can be absorbed by the first cover portion 41. For this reason, the electronic device 100 can easily maintain the gap between the second cover portion 42 and the connector 53 so that foreign matter does not intrude.

[0055] Also, in the electronic device 100, the second cover portion 42 provided with the connector opening 4h is a hard material. Therefore, even if a load is applied to the second cover portion 42 from foreign matter, the electronic device 100 can suppress the deformation of the second cover portion 42. Thus, the electronic device 100 can maintain the gap between the connector 53 and the front cover 40. That is, the electronic device 100 can suppress the second cover portion 42 from being turned up even when a load of 1 N which is, for example, an IP40 requirement is applied.

[0056] <Modification Example 1> As shown in FIG. 6, the front cover 40a may include a first cover portion 41a. The first cover portion 41a has a shape bent with respect to the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43. That is, the first cover portion 41a has a curved surface shape on the surface side facing the accommodation space 24 and on the opposite surface thereof. The surface is a curved surface convex toward the accommodation space 24. The opposite surface is a curved surface concave toward the accommodation space 24. The relationship between the convex and the concave may be reversed. Furthermore, it can be said that the first cover portion 41a is provided in a slack state. Therefore, the front cover 40a can easily absorb the pressing force from the connector 53 by the first cover portion 41a.

[0057] <Modification 2> As shown in FIG. 7, the front cover 40b may include a first cover portion 41b. Similar to the first cover portion 41a, the first cover portion 41b has a shape bent with respect to the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43. The first cover portion 41b has a continuous curved surface shape on the surface side facing the accommodation space 24 and on the opposite surface thereof. Also, it can be said that the first cover portion 41b has a bellows shape. Furthermore, it can also be said that the first cover portion 41b is provided in a slack state. The front cover 40b can easily absorb the pressing force from the connector 53 by the first cover portion 41b.

[0058] <Modification 3> As shown in FIG. 8, the front cover 40 may include a bridge 44 that connects the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43. Thereby, the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 can be manufactured by a single molding. Thereafter, the first cover portion 41 is formed.

[0059] In the present embodiment, a bridge 44 having a bent shape is adopted between the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43. Also, it can be said that the bridge 44 has a bellows shape. Thereby, the front cover 40 can easily absorb the pressing force due to the displacement of the connector 53 or the like. However, the bridge 44 may have a linear shape.

[0060] Note that after cutting the bridge 44, the front cover 40 may form the first cover portion 41. That is, the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43 connected by the bridge 44 are manufactured. Then, after cutting the bridge, the first cover portion 41 is formed between the second cover portion 42 and the third cover portion 43. Note that the first cover portion 41 can be formed by methods such as insert molding, attachment with an adhesive, and thermocompression bonding.

[0061] The preferred embodiments of the present disclosure have been described above. However, the present disclosure is not limited to the above embodiments at all, and various modifications are possible without departing from the spirit of the present disclosure. Modification Examples 1 to 3 can also be applied to the third embodiment described later.

[0062] (Second Embodiment) As shown in FIG. 9, the electronic device in the second embodiment includes a front cover 40c. The front cover 40c includes a first cover portion 41c and a second cover portion 42. That is, the front cover 40c does not include the third cover portion 43. Note that the first cover portion 41c is formed of the same material as the first cover portion 41. The first cover portion 41c is provided so as to surround the second cover portion 42. Also, the first cover portion 41c holds the second cover portion 42 in a movable state. And the first cover portion 41c is fixed to the housing portion with bolts 60 or the like.

[0063] The electronic device in the second embodiment can achieve the same effects as the electronic device 100. Further, the electronic device in the second embodiment can reduce the number of components of the front cover 40c compared to the electronic device 100.
