AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing flexible electroluminescent display devices face corrosion defects in the GIP wiring section due to the use of photoacrylic as a planarization layer, which limits the reduction of bezel width and affects productivity.

Method used

A flexible display device design that includes a substrate with distinct areas for display and non-display, using photoacrylic as a planarization layer in non-bending areas and polyimide to fill gaps in bending areas, reducing corrosion and improving productivity.

Benefits of technology

The solution effectively reduces corrosion in GIP wiring sections while maintaining productivity by using polyimide to fill gaps in the planarization layer, enhancing the bezel width reduction in flexible display devices.
