Abstract
Description
/ 6 CONSTRUCTIONAL ARRANGEMENT PROVIDED FOR A HORIZONTAL FEED MIXER USING A TUMBLE DEVICE - TECHNICAL FIELD
[001] The following descriptive report for a utility model refers to the constructive arrangement in a feed mixer equipped with a tipper, where the tipper is equipped with forks fixed to the terminal portion of each arm fixed to the respective flange, said forks serving as support for the scraper. STATE OF THE ART
[002] A horizontal feed mixer with a tumbler is a vehicle-towed machine containing a screw system and a device consisting of arms fixed to one or more flanges attached to a central shaft. This device rotates and mixes the feed by tumbling it from side to side.
[003] Documents US4741625 and BR202012033309-6 are those that best define the state of the art.
[004] US document 4741625 discloses a helical mixer that includes blades extending radially and laterally from the helix, which have curved convex leading surfaces to engage the material in the mixer and move it laterally from the auger and chamber. The mixer includes a main chamber in which a rotor is located. The rotor includes at least one elongated wiper rigidly connected to a rotor bar to wipe contact with a curved wall portion of the chamber.
[005] Document BR202012033309-6 reveals the constructive arrangement applied to a rotor for a feed mixer; it is a rotor constructed of six stars, each containing three arms. These Petition 870220010131, dated 04 / 02 / 2022, p. 5 / 15 Two-six star-shaped mixers are arranged in pairs, and each pair of stars forms a three-armed beater. These beaters are welded to a central shaft, forming a helix along the length of said shaft, with scrapers mounted on spring-loaded crossbars at the ends of each beater arm. This provides considerable relief from the pressure exerted by the mixture against the equipment walls. TECHNICAL PROBLEMS
[006] The mixer disclosed in US4741625 employs a rotor that includes axial square tubing and rotor arms to which rotor bars are connected. The rotor bars are provided with pins that are received in helical springs located on the bars and supported on a stop. A wiper plate is rigidly connected to the rotor bar at an angle.
[007] The major drawback of this setup is the entry of feed into the square tubing where the spring is located, causing blockages and hindering the spring's operation.
[008] Document BR202012033309-6 solved this problem by means of a bar return system with scrapers mounted on crossbars over springs at the ends of each arm of each beater, with the spring located inside the arms and between the plates or angle brackets, and guided with the aid of a pin welded to the crossbar.
[009] In this assembly, the arms are positioned in a triangular assembly offset by 60° from each other. At the distal end to the rotor axis, angle plates are welded, where the spring is attached inside this assembly. As the arms are inclined relative to the rotor, an angled force is exerted when rubbing against the mixer surface. Also, the mounting of the angle plates in Petition 870220010131, dated 04 / 02 / 2022, page 6 / 15 3 / 6 arms creates a weak point at the end. PROPOSED SOLUTION
[010] Thus, due to the considerations pertinent to the problems of the technique previously presented, one of the objectives of the present utility model described herein is to develop a towed horizontal feed mixer (which may also be stationary or adapted to a truck chassis). The towed model consists of a wheel assembly (single or tandem), a chassis, a stainless steel tank, a transmission system, two helical rotors and a rotor with mixing arms.
[011] Equipment driven by a shaft connected to the tractor's power take-off, driving the chain and gear transmission that transmits rotation to a screw at the top and another at the bottom, the latter responsible for discharging the mixture (the screw pitch of the two screws is manufactured in opposite directions). The transmission also drives a larger rotor, popularly known as a tipper, which is responsible for mixing.
[012] The three rotors are connected to the front transmission by splined ends that are bolted into flanges welded to the tubes.
[013] Helical rotors consist of a tube with two welded flanges (one at each end), between the flanges are welded several thread pitches in the same direction with fins welded to the ends, two blades that assist in mixing the material and at the end of the tube only a section of one thread pitch to prevent the accumulation of material in the corners. DESCRIPTION
[014] The characterization of the present utility model is made by means of representative drawings of the constructive arrangement. Petition 870220010131, dated 04 / 02 / 2022, page 7 / 15 4 / 6 provided to a horizontal feed mixer with the use of a tumbler, in such a way that the product can be fully reproduced by appropriate technique, allowing full characterization of the functionality of the object claimed.
[015] Based on the elaborated figures that express the best way to realize the product now conceived, the descriptive part of the report is based, through a detailed and consecutive numbering, where it clarifies aspects that may be implied by the representation adopted, in order to clearly determine the protection now intended.
[016] These figures are merely illustrative and may present variations, provided they do not deviate from what was initially requested.
[017] In this case, it is necessary to: Figure 01 shows the complete mixer wagon, with the beater and helical rotors; Figure 2 shows the tipper mechanism composed of two star-shaped arms with their arms offset by 90° from each other and by 45° from the first to the second star, and a detail of the fork where the scraping mechanisms are attached; and Figure 3 shows a side view of the tipper so that the arms and scraping mechanism can be seen.
[018] The complete mixer consists of a wagon (1) arranged on a chassis (2), containing tandem or single-mounted wheels (3), with power take-off (4) and towing drawbar (5), containing the tipping rotor (6) and helical rotor (7) positioned inside the wagon, driven by the power take-off (4), where said wagon (1) Petition 870220010131, dated 04 / 02 / 2022, page 8 / 15 5 / 6 features side discharge outlet (8).
[019] The tilting rotor (6) consists of a round tube (9), to which three flanges (10, 11 and 12) are welded, one at each end and another in the middle of the tube. Arms (13) bearing forks (14) are welded to these flanges (10, 11 and 12), with space (15) for mounting a spring (16) inside each fork (14). This spring (16) is guided by a machined cylindrical pin (17). Four forks are welded to each end flange, on the inner side of the flange, positioned 90° to each other. Four forks are welded to the central flange on each side; these eight forks welded to the central flange are positioned 45° to each other and aligned with the end forks.
[020] The forks are attached in such a way that one does not depend on the other for fixation, as they are mounted and welded individually.
[021] On the inside of the fork (14) two pieces (18 and 19) are welded, facing each other, with a bend (20 and 21) each, which has a fitting for assembly, these pieces have the function of assisting in mixing, increasing the movement of the material and also have the function of protecting the springs from direct contact with the material at each turn, increasing the lifespan of the springs.
[022] Square tubes (22) with cylindrical guides (23) welded to the face are mounted on the springs (16) positioned in the middle of the forks (14), which are mounted concentrically with the springs, and held fixed to the forks (14) by screws (26). There are two models of tubes, mounted alternately. One model with a scraper (24) to carry the material from the bottom to the mixing and discharge augers and another without scrapers, which performs the function of mixing the food.
[023] The scraper made of UHMW, with elongated holes Petition 870220010131, dated 04 / 02 / 2022, page 9 / 15 6 / 6 for adjustment is mounted on a support (25) welded at an angle (a) to facilitate scraping the material at the bottom of the calendered reservoir, preventing material buildup at the end of the operation. Scraping the material from the bottom is more efficient due to the scraper and the spring system that works by compressing when passing over the bottom and expanding again when it is free from contact with the bottom.
[024] As mixing progresses, the tilting rotor directs the product towards the helical rotors, the upper rotor, with mounted cutting blades, carries the excess product to the bottom of the reservoir (contributing to mixing) and the lower helical rotor carries the product forward towards the adjustable discharge gate, which slides by gravity over a "spout" with magnetic separation plates that can retain ferrous materials that are in the middle of the mixture.
