[0018] refer to Figures 1 to 7 , reference numeral 10 generally represents an appliance comprising an outer package 14 and an inner liner 18 positioned within the outer package 14. A stepped rack 22 is coupled to the inner liner 18. The stepped rack 22 comprises a first side wall 26 and a second side wall 30 coupled together via a connecting wall 34 defining a plurality of apertures 38. An adapter member 42 comprises a hook 46 configured to extend through an aperture 50 in the plurality of apertures 38 when coupled to the stepped rack 22. The adapter member 42 is coupled to a locking member 54 engaging an inner surface 58, 62 of the first side wall 26 and the second side wall 30 of the stepped rack 22. A cantilever bracket 66 is coupled to the adapter member 42 and extends outwardly from the stepped rack 22. A track assembly 70 is coupled to an upper surface 74 of the cantilever bracket 66. A spacer 78 is coupled to a first end 82 and abuts against an inner liner surface 86. The storage feature 90 is coupled to the track assembly 70 and is operable between a stowed position 94 and a deployed position 98 .

[0019] refer to Figure 1 and Figure 2 , the appliance 10 is shown as a refrigerator including a cabinet 102 defining a refrigerator compartment 106 and a freezer compartment 110. Although shown as a bottom mounted refrigerator, the appliance 10 can be, for example, a bottom mounted French door refrigerator, a top mounted refrigerator, a side-by-side refrigerator, a four-door French door refrigerator, and / or a five-door French door refrigerator. Further, the present disclosure is not limited to refrigerators. The appliance 10 can be, for example, a freezer, a cooler, a vacuum insulation structure, a storage structure, and other similar appliances and fixtures within a home and commercial environment.

[0020] like Figure 1 and Figure 2As shown, the utensil 10 is an insulating utensil 10, which includes a decorative partition 114, an outer packaging 14 and an inner liner 18. The outer packaging 14 and the inner liner 18 can be connected to the decorative partition 114 to define an insulating cavity 118, in which one or more insulating materials can be arranged. The insulating material can be a carbon-based powder and / or a silicon oxide-based material, but it is generally expected that other insulating materials can be used. In addition, the insulating material can be a free-flowing material that can be cast, blown, compacted or otherwise arranged in the insulating cavity 118. This free-flowing material can be in the form of various silica-based materials (such as fumed silica, precipitated silica, nano and / or micron-sized aerogels, powders, rice husk ash, powders, perlite, glass balls, hollow glass balls, hollow microspheres, diatomaceous earth, combinations thereof and / or other similar insulating granular materials).

[0021] In various examples, one or more insulating materials can substantially fill the insulating cavity 118 to form a substantially continuous layer between the outer packaging 14 and the liner 18. A vacuum 122 or at least a partial vacuum 122 can be defined within the insulating cavity 118, and a pressure differential can be defined between the exterior 126 of the utensil 10 and the insulating cavity 118. The pressure differential can be used to define an inward compressive force that can be applied to one and / or both of the outer packaging 14 and the liner 18. The pressure differential also tends to bias the outer packaging 14 and the liner 18 toward the insulating cavity 118 of the utensil 10. The vacuum 122 within the insulating cavity 118 also tends to cause gas to penetrate into the insulating cavity 118 from an area outside the utensil 10. This infiltration of gas is sometimes referred to as gas permeation.

[0022] The outer packaging 14 and the liner 18 can be configured to form the cabinet 102 of the utensil 10. In this way, the outer packaging 14 can have a three-dimensional shape and can define a central cavity 130. The liner 18 can correspond to the outer packaging 14 and can have a plurality of panels 134. Each of the plurality of panels 134 includes a liner surface 86. In addition or alternatively, the plurality of panels 134 of the liner 18 can form an inner cavity 138. It can be generally expected that the liner 18 can be received in the central cavity 130 of the outer packaging 14, and thus partially define the insulation cavity 118. In other words, the liner 18 can be positioned in the outer packaging 14, and the insulation cavity 118 can be defined therebetween. According to various aspects, the outer packaging 14 and the liner 18 can include materials that can be at least partially resisted, bent, biased or otherwise formed in response to an inward compression force. These materials can include but are not limited to metals, plastics, polymers, metal alloys, their combinations and / or other similar substantially rigid materials that can be used for vacuum insulation structures in the utensil 10.

[0023] It is contemplated that the decorative divider 114 may be coupled to the outer edges 142, 146 of the outer packaging 14 and the liner 18. Figure 2 As shown, the decorative divider 114 has a generally rectangular shape, however it is contemplated that other geometric shapes known in the art may be used. Thus, the decorative divider 114 may not substantially interfere with access to the refrigerator compartment 106 and the freezer compartment 110 defined by the cabinet 102. In various examples, the decorative divider 114 may operate to seal an insulating cavity 118 between the outer packaging 14 and the liner 18.

[0024] Reference again Figure 1 , the appliance 10 may include a plurality of storage features 90 disposed within the refrigerator compartment 106 and / or the freezer compartment 110. Figure 1 As shown, the storage feature 90 can have a variety of configurations. Thus, the storage feature 90 can be a shelf, a box, a drawer, and / or a wine rack. The appliance 10 can include more than one storage feature 90, each having a different configuration. For example, Figure 1 As shown, the appliance 10 includes a plurality of storage features 90 configured as shelves or drawers within the refrigerator compartment 106 and a plurality of storage features 90 configured as boxes disposed on the door 150 of the appliance 10. According to various aspects, one or more of the storage features 90 of the appliance 10 can be coupled to the appliance 10 via a first support assembly 154. The first support assembly 154 can be included in the vacuum insulated appliance 10. Additionally or alternatively, the first support assembly 154 can be included in any feasible structure, including a plastic and / or metal liner 18.

[0025] According to various aspects, the first support assembly 154 may include a first stepped rack 158 and a second stepped rack 162 coupled to the liner 18. Figure 1 As shown, the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162 are coupled to the rear panel 166 of the inner container 18 and are spaced apart from each other in a parallel configuration. The first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162 can extend vertically within the cabinet 102, or alternatively, can extend horizontally within the cabinet 102. Based on the configuration of the appliance 10, more or fewer step-shaped racks 22 can be included in the appliance 10 having the storage feature 90.

[0026] refer to Figure 3, the first support assembly 154 may include a cantilever bracket 66 coupled to the adapter member 42. The cantilever bracket 66 may include a first side 170, a second side 174, and an upper support wall 178 extending therebetween. In various examples, the cantilever bracket 66 may include a hollow interior defined between the first side 170, the second side 174, and the upper support wall 178. The hollow interior may be beneficial in reducing manufacturing and production costs and reducing the weight of the first support assembly 154. Additionally or alternatively, the cantilever bracket 66 may taper from a second end 182 adjacent to the adapter member 42 to the first end 82. In this way, the height of the second end 182 of the cantilever bracket 66 may be greater than the height of the first end 82.

[0027] According to various aspects, the cantilever bracket 66 can be mechanically fastened to the adapter member 42. As such, the cantilever bracket 66 and the adapter member 42 can be coupled together via mechanical fasteners such as, for example, screws, bolts, rivets, or other similar fasteners. The cantilever bracket 66 can include a member that can operate and support the storage feature 90 ( Figure 1 ) materials. These materials may include, for example, metals and metal alloys. According to various aspects, the adapter member 42 can be coupled to the second end 182 of the cantilever bracket 66. Similar to the cantilever bracket 66, the adapter member 42 may include a metal material and / or a metal alloy material. In various examples, the adapter member 42 may include a hook 46 extending outwardly and downwardly relative to the cantilever bracket 66. The hook 46 may be configured to couple the adapter member 42 and, accordingly, the first support assembly 154 to the first stepped rack 158 and the second stepped rack 162 ( Figure 1 ). Additionally or alternatively, the adapter member 42 can define a protrusion 186 that extends outwardly from the adapter member 42 away from the cantilever bracket 66. The protrusion 186 can be configured to assist in coupling the adapter member 42 to one of the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162. The adapter member 42 can further include an abutment surface 190 disposed adjacent the protrusion 186 and configured to abut one of the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162. In various examples, the abutment surface 190 can abut the connecting wall 34 ( Figure 4 ).

[0028] In various examples, the upper portion 194 of the adapter member 42 can be configured to receive the locking member 54. The adapter member 42 can define a recess 198 adjacent the second end 182 of the cantilever bracket 66. Additionally or alternatively, the adapter member 42 can define a cutout 202 spaced from the recess 198. The cutout 202 can facilitate assembly to the stepped rack 22 ( Figure 1 ) to prevent and / or minimize interference between the locking member 54 and the adapter member 42.

[0029] Still reference Figure 3 , the locking member 54 can be coupled to the adapter member 42. According to various aspects, the locking member 54 can include a first arm 206 and a second arm 210 coupled together via a connector 214. The first arm 206 and the second arm 210 can extend away from the connector 214 in the same direction. In other words, the first arm 206 and the second arm 210 extend away from the cantilever bracket 66 from the connector 214 in the same direction. When assembled with the adapter member 42 and the cantilever bracket 66, the connector 214 can be disposed adjacent to the second end 182 of the cantilever bracket 66, and the first arm 206 and the second arm 210 can extend outwardly therefrom. The first arm 206 and the second arm 210 can be substantially horizontally aligned with the upper support wall 178 of the cantilever bracket 66. Additionally or alternatively, the first arm 206 and the second arm 210 can include distal engagement portions 218, 222. The distal engagement portions 218, 222 can be at opposite ends of the locking member 54 relative to the connector 214. The distal engagement portions 218, 222 can extend generally vertically such that the distal engagement portions 218, 222 can be generally perpendicular to the first arm 206 and the second arm 210. In this way, the first arm 206 and the second arm 210 can have a generally T-shaped configuration. In various examples, the locking member 54 can include a plastic material such as, for example, polypropylene and polyoxymethylene.

[0030] Still reference Figure 3 , the first support assembly 154 may include a spacer 78 coupled to the first end 82 of the cantilever bracket 66. The spacer 78 may be coupled to at least one of the first side 170 and the second side 174 of the cantilever bracket 66. According to various aspects, the spacer 78 may include a plastic material and / or a rubber material. In the plastic example, the spacer 78 may have an increased rigidity such that the spacer 78 has minimal and / or no elastic deformation. In the rubber example, the spacer 78 may elastically deform in response to a force acting on the spacer 78.

[0031] The track assembly 70 can be disposed on the upper surface 74 of the upper support wall 178 of the cantilever bracket 66. The track assembly 70 can include a track 226 fixedly coupled to the upper support wall 178 of the cantilever bracket 66. A track runner 230 can slidably engage the track 226. The track runner 230 can be coupled to the track 226 and configured to slide forward and backward relative to the track 226. As such, the track runner 230 can define a stowed position 94 and a deployed position 98 as the track runner 230 moves forward and backward relative to the track 226.

[0032] Reference now Figure 4, the storage feature 90 can be supported by the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234. The first support assembly 154 can include a first cantilever bracket 238 coupled to the first adapter member 242. The first adapter member 242 can include a coupling portion 246 configured to be inserted into the interior of the first cantilever bracket 238 defined by the first side 170 and the second side 174 and the upper support wall 178. The first adapter member 242 can be mechanically fastened to the first cantilever bracket 238. The height of the rear edge 250 of the first adapter member 242 can be greater than the height of the front edge 254 of the first adapter member 242. The height of the front edge 254 can be substantially similar to the height of the second end 182 of the first cantilever bracket 238. In this way, the front edge of the first adapter member 242 (e.g., the coupling portion 246) can be substantially aligned with the second end 182 of the first cantilever bracket 238. The height of the first adapter member 242 can increase from the front edge 254 to the rear edge 250. Such a configuration may be beneficial in increasing the surface area of the first adapter member 242 that engages the first stepped rack 158 .

[0033] The first support assembly 154 may include a first locking member 258, which includes a first arm 206 and a second arm 210 and a connector 214. The connector 214 of the first locking member 258 can be disposed in a recess 198 defined by the first adapter member 242. The first track assembly 262 can be disposed on the upper support wall 178 of the first cantilever bracket 238. The first track assembly 262 may include a track 226 fixedly connected to the first cantilever bracket 238 and a track slide 230 slidably engaged with the track 226. Additionally or alternatively, the first support assembly 154 may include a first spacer 266. The first spacer 266 may include a protrusion 270 extending therefrom. The protrusion 270 may engage a receiving aperture 274 defined by the first cantilever bracket 238. As Figure 4 As shown, the receiving aperture 274 is defined by the first side 170 of the first cantilever bracket 238 . As such, the first spacer 266 can be coupled to an outer surface 278 of the first cantilever bracket 238 .

[0034] In various examples, the storage feature 90 can also be supported by a second support assembly 234. According to various aspects, the second support assembly 234 can be a mirror image of the first support assembly 154. The second support assembly 234 can include a second cantilever bracket 282 coupled to a second adapter member 286. The second adapter member 286 can include a coupling portion 246 configured to be inserted into the interior of the second cantilever bracket 282. The coupling portion 246 of the second adapter member 286 can be mechanically fastened to the second end 182 of the second cantilever bracket 282. Similar to the first adapter member 242, the height of the rear edge 250 of the second adapter member 286 can be greater than the height of the front edge 254 of the second adapter member 286. The height of the front edge 254 can correspond to the second end 182 of the second cantilever bracket 282. The height of the rear edge 250 of the second adapter member 286 can be greater to increase the surface area of the second adapter member 286 that engages with the second stepped rack 162.

[0035] According to various aspects, the second support assembly 234 can include a second locking member 290, which can include the first arm 206 and the second arm 210 and the connector 214. The connector 214 of the second locking member 290 can be disposed within the recess 198 defined by the second adapter member 286. The first arm 206 and the second arm 210 of the second locking member 290 can extend outward and away from the second cantilever bracket 282.

[0036] Additionally or alternatively, the second support assembly 234 may include a second track assembly 294 disposed on the upper support wall 178 of the second cantilever bracket 282. The second track assembly 294 may include a track 226 coupled to the second cantilever bracket 282 and a track slot 230 slidably engaged with the track 226. In various examples, the first track assembly 262 and the second track assembly 294 may translate simultaneously. In this way, the first track assembly 262 and the second track assembly 294 may simultaneously move the first side 298 and the second side 302 of the storage feature 90, which allows the storage feature 90 to be moved between the stowed position 94 and the deployed position 98 ( Figure 1 ) to move between them more easily.

[0037] Still reference Figure 4, the second support assembly 234 may include a second spacer 306. The second spacer 306 may include a protrusion 270 extending therefrom. The protrusion 270 may engage a receiving aperture 274 defined by the second cantilever bracket 282. The receiving aperture 274 may be defined by the second side 174 of the second cantilever bracket 282. As such, the second spacer 306 may be coupled to the outer surface 278 of the second cantilever bracket 282. Additionally or alternatively, the first spacer 266 and the second spacer 306 may be oriented outwardly away from each other such that when the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234 are assembled, the respective protrusions 270 extend toward each other.

[0038] In various examples, the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162 can have a configuration substantially similar to each other. Each of the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162 can include a first side wall 26 and a second side wall 30. The first side wall 26 and the second side wall 30 can be spaced apart from each other. The first side wall 26 and the second side wall 30 can be connected to each other via a connecting wall 34. The connecting wall 34 of each of the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162 can each define a plurality of apertures 38. In various examples, each connecting wall 34 can be configured as a plurality of connecting walls 34 spaced apart by a corresponding plurality of apertures 38.

[0039] refer to Figure 5 As shown, the first support assembly 154 is assembled with the first side 298 of the storage feature 90. It is contemplated that the second support assembly 234 ( Figure 4 ) can be similarly configured such that the second support assembly 234 is a mirror image of the first support assembly 154 and can be coupled to the second side 302 of the storage feature 90. The first cantilever bracket 238 can extend along the first side 298 of the storage feature 90. According to various aspects, when the storage feature 90 is in the stowed position 94, the first cantilever bracket 238 can extend between the first edge 310 and the second edge 314 of the first side 298 of the storage feature 90. In this way, the first cantilever bracket 238 can extend over at least a portion of the depth of the storage feature 90. Figure 5 As shown, when in the stowed position 94, the first cantilever bracket 238 extends from the first edge 310 to the second edge 314 and extends the entire depth of the storage feature 90. The first edge 310 and the second edge 314 are shown as the front edge and the rear edge, however, it is contemplated that the first edge 310 and the second edge 314 may be the upper edge and the lower edge or the lateral edge of the storage feature 90. When in the stowed position 94, the first adapter member 242 may be coupled to the second end 182 of the first cantilever bracket 238 adjacent to the second edge 314 of the storage feature 90.

[0040] Additionally or alternatively, when the storage feature 90 is in the stowed position 94 and the deployed position 98 ( Figure 1 ), the first adapter member 242 can extend outwardly beyond the second edge 314 of the storage feature 90. When in the stowed position 94, the first locking member 258 can be coupled to the first adapter member 242 adjacent to the second edge 314 of the storage feature 90. The first arm 206 and the second arm 210 of the first locking member 258 can extend outwardly beyond the second edge 314 of the storage feature 90. The first adapter member 242 and the first locking member 258 extend beyond the second edge 314 (e.g., the rear edge) of the storage feature 90 when the storage feature 90 is in the stowed position 94 to engage the first stepped rack 158 ( Figure 1 ) may be beneficial.

[0041] According to various aspects, when in the stowed position 94, the receiving aperture 274 defined by the first cantilever bracket 238 can be disposed adjacent the first end 82 of the first cantilever bracket 238 and the first edge 310 of the storage feature 90. The first spacer 266 can be coupled to the outer surface 278 of the first cantilever bracket 238, and the tab 270 can extend toward the first side 298 of the storage feature 90. The storage feature 90 can be coupled to the track runner 230 of the first track assembly 262. In various examples, the top edge 318 of the storage feature 90 can be coupled to the track runner 230. It is contemplated that the second support assembly 234 can be similarly constructed without departing from the teachings herein.

[0042] like Figure 5 As shown, the storage feature 90 is configured as a drawer. The drawer 90 can be moved between a stowed position 94 and an extended position 98 ( Figure 1 ). In examples where the storage feature 90 is configured as a drawer, the front panel 322 of the storage feature can extend laterally outward beyond the first side 298 and the second side 302 of the storage feature 90. As such, the front panel 322 can at least partially conceal the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234 coupled to the first side 298 and the second side 302 of the storage feature 90. This configuration can be beneficial in enhancing the aesthetics of the appliance 10.

[0043] Other configurations of the storage feature 90 may be arranged similarly to the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234. In such configurations, for example, where the storage feature is a shelf, a wine rack, and / or a box, the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234 may extend over at least a portion of the depth of the storage feature 90 when in the stowed position 94. Further, in such examples, the storage feature 90 may be operable between the stowed position 94 and the deployed position 98 by the first track assembly 262 and the second track assembly 294. This may facilitate increased access to the storage feature 90. In configurations where the storage feature 90 may not include the front panel 322, the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234 may be at least partially visible to the user.

[0044] refer to Figure 6 , the first adapter member 242 may include a hook 46 and a protrusion 186 spaced apart from each other. The hook 46 may extend from a rear edge 250 of the first adapter member 242 through one of the apertures 50 defined by the first stepped rack 158. The rear edge 250 of the first adapter member 242 may abut a first surface 326 of the connecting wall 34 of the first stepped rack 158. As such, the rear edge 250 may be configured to abut against the surface 190. The hook 46 may extend through the aperture 50 and abut and / or engage a second surface 330 of the connecting wall 34. In various examples, the second surface 330 may be oriented toward the rear panel 166 of the liner 18.

[0045] The protrusion 186 can extend through one aperture 50 adjacent to the hook 46. In other words, the hook 46 extends through one aperture 50, and the protrusion 186 extends through another adjacent aperture 50. The protrusion 186 can extend through an aperture 50 vertically disposed below the aperture 50 through which the hook 46 extends. In various examples, the height of the protrusion 186 can correspond to the height of the aperture 50 through which the protrusion 186 extends. As such, the protrusion 186 can abut one or both inner edges 334 of the connecting wall 34 that define the aperture 50.

[0046] The engagement of the hook 46 and the protrusion 186 with the connecting wall 34 can couple the first adapter member 242 to the first stepped rack 158. Additionally or alternatively, the rear edge 250 can abut the connecting wall 34, which can provide additional stability for the first support assembly 154. According to various aspects, the first locking member 258 can be coupled to the first adapter member 242 and engage the first stepped rack 158. The connector 214 can be disposed within the recess 198 defined by the first adapter member 242. The first arm 206 can extend from the connector 214 toward the rear edge 250 of the first adapter member 242 in a generally horizontal manner. In various examples, the first locking member 258 can engage the first stepped rack 158 in an interference fit. This can be beneficial in increasing the stability of the second end 182 of the first cantilever bracket 238.

[0047] Additionally or alternatively, the first locking member 258 can engage the first side wall 26 and the second side wall 30 of the first stepped rack 158 to lockably engage the first adapter member 242 to the first stepped rack 158. Figure 6 As shown, the first arm 206 includes a distal engagement portion 218. The distal engagement portion 218 can engage the inner surface 58 of the first side wall 26 of the first step-shaped rack 158. It is contemplated that the distal engagement portion 222 of the second arm 210 can engage the inner surface 62 of the second side wall 30 of the first step-shaped rack 158 in a similar manner. In this way, the first arm 206 and the second arm 210 can engage the first side wall 26 and the second side wall 30 in an interference fit. In a non-limiting example, the first locking member 258 can exert an outward biasing force on the first side wall 26 and the second side wall 30 of the first step-shaped rack 158. When the first support assembly 154 is engaged with the first step-shaped rack 158, the biasing force can provide additional stability to the first support assembly 154. In addition, the first arm 206 and the second arm 210 can be compressed inwardly when engaged with the first step-shaped rack 158 to create an interference fit or an outward biasing force. The cutout 202 of the first adapter member 242 may provide additional space for movement of the first arm 206 and the second arm 210 .

[0048] refer to Figure 4 and Figure 6, the second adapter member 286 can be configured to engage the second step-shaped rack 162 in a similar manner. As such, the second adapter member 286 can include a hook 46 and a protrusion 186 that extends through an adjacent aperture 50 defined by the connecting wall 34 of the second step-shaped rack 162. The second locking member 290 can engage the first side wall 26 and the second side wall 30 of the second step-shaped rack 162 in an interference fit. As such, the first adapter member 242 and the second adapter member 286 can couple the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234 to the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162. In addition to the first adapter member 242 and the second adapter member 286, the first locking member 258 and the second locking member 290 can engage the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162 to increase the stability of the second end 182 of each of the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282.

[0049] refer to Figure 7 , the first spacer 266 can engage the first cantilever bracket 238. The first spacer 266 can include a protrusion 270, which can be configured as a threaded protrusion. In such examples, the receiving aperture 274 can include threads corresponding to the threaded protrusion 270. In other words, the first spacer 266 can include a threaded protrusion 270 that engages with the threaded receiving aperture 274 defined by the first cantilever bracket 238. In various examples, the first cantilever bracket 238 can be spaced apart from the inner liner surface 86 of the liner 18. As shown in FIG. Figure 7 As shown, the liner surface 86 is configured as a side surface of the liner 18 .

[0050] The first spacer 266 can be disposed within a gap 338 defined between the liner surface 86 and the first cantilever bracket 238. The position of the first spacer 266 relative to the outer surface 278 of the first cantilever bracket 238 can be adjusted by rotating the first spacer 266 in the receiving aperture 274. Adjusting the first spacer 266 can correspondingly adjust the size of the gap 338 defined between the first cantilever bracket 238 and the liner surface 86. In other words, the gap 338 can be adjusted in response to adjusting the position of the first spacer 266 relative to the outer surface 278 of the first cantilever bracket 238. In this way, the gap 338 can be adjusted via the rotation of the first spacer 266. The gap 338 can be beneficial to improving the air flow within the cabinet 102 of the appliance 10. Additionally or alternatively, the gap 338 can improve the cooling performance and the uniformity of the air distribution within the appliance 10.

[0051] The first spacer 266 can abut the liner surface 86. This configuration can be advantageous in increasing the stability of the first cantilever bracket 238 and, accordingly, the first support assembly 154 when the storage feature 90 moves between the stowed position 94 and the deployed position 98. Thus, the first spacer 266 can increase stability and / or provide support for the first support assembly 154 when the storage feature is in the stowed position 94, when the storage feature 90 is in the deployed position 98, and when the storage feature 90 translates therebetween. The first spacer 266 can include, for example, a plastic material and / or a rubber material. In the plastic example, the first spacer 266 can have an increased rigidity relative to the rubber example. Thus, the first spacer 266 can limit and / or prevent lateral movement of the first support assembly 154. This configuration can be advantageous in reducing and / or preventing movement of the first support assembly 154 when the storage feature 90 translates along the first support assembly 154. In a non-limiting example, when the storage feature 90 is configured as a wine rack, a plastic first spacer 266 can be utilized in the first support assembly 154. Relative to other configurations of the storage feature 90, the wine rack configuration can have an increased sensitivity to vibrations that can be caused by the addition and / or removal of bottles from the wine rack. In the rubber example, the first spacer 266 can limit the lateral movement of the first support assembly 154. The rubber first spacer 266 can allow the first support assembly 154 to move slightly while reducing vibration. This configuration can also be beneficial in protecting the liner 18 from scratches and / or other similar damage. Additionally or alternatively, when the first spacer 266 includes a rubber material, the spacer can be elastically deformed in response to a force acting on the first spacer 266 to stabilize the first cantilever bracket 238.

[0052] refer to Figure 1 , Figure 4 and Figure 7 , it is contemplated that the second spacer 306 can be constructed similarly to the first spacer 266. The second spacer 306 can include a threaded protrusion 270 that engages a threaded receiving aperture 274 defined by the second cantilever bracket 282. The second spacer 306 can be disposed between the opposing liner surface 342 and the second cantilever bracket 282. As such, a gap 338 can be defined between the opposing liner surface 342 and the second support assembly 234. It is contemplated that the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234 can be substantially mirror images of each other and can operate in a similar manner.

[0053] The first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282 can be tightened toward the corresponding inner tank surface 86, 342. In this way, the size of the corresponding gap 338 can be changed. The first spacer 266 and the second spacer 306 can provide rigidity for the corresponding first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234. The first spacer 266 and the second spacer 306 can be screwed into the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282 through the rotatable engagement of the threaded protrusion 270 with the threaded aperture 274.

[0054] refer to Figures 1 to 7 , the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234 can be connected to the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162. The first adapter member 242 and the second adapter member 286 can engage the connecting wall 34 and extend through the plurality of apertures 38 defined by the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162. The first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282 can extend outward from the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162. In this way, the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282 can extend from the rear panel 166 of the inner tank 18 toward the door 150 of the appliance 10. The first locking member 258 and the second locking member 290 can each engage the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162 in an interference fit to increase the stability of the second end 182 of each of the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282. The first spacer 266 and the second spacer 306 can engage the outer surface 278 of the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282. As such, the first spacer 266 and the second spacer 306 can provide stability to the first end 82 of each of the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282.

[0055] After the storage feature 90 is positioned on the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282 coupled to the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162, the first spacer 266 and the second spacer 306 can be rotated to abut the inner tank surface 86, 342. In this way, the body 346 of the spacer 266, 306 can be spaced apart from the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282 by the protrusion 270 to abut the corresponding inner tank surface 86, 342, thereby reducing the lateral movement of the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282. The protrusion 270 of each of the first spacer 266 and the second spacer 306 can define at least one slot 350 for engaging a tool (such as, for example, a screwdriver) in its end 354. The end 354 of each of the protrusions 270 defining the slot 350 can be accessed by a user to adjust the first spacer 266 and the second spacer 306 relative to the inner tank surface 86, 342. An access hole 358 may be defined in the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282 to align with the aperture 274. In the first cantilever bracket 238, the aperture 274 may be defined in the first wall 170 (e.g., an outer wall), and the access hole 358 may be defined in the second wall 174 (e.g., an inner wall). In the second cantilever bracket 282, the aperture 274 may be defined in the second wall 174 (e.g., an outer wall), and the access hole 358 may be defined on the first wall 170 (e.g., an inner wall). In this way, the access hole 358 may be accessed from the space defined between the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282. A tool may extend through the access hole 358 to engage the slot 350 and allow the respective first and second spacers 266 and 306 to rotate. The access hole 358 may be coaxial with the aperture 274.

[0056] Accordingly, the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234 can include stabilizing features disposed at two of the opposing first and second ends 82, 182 of the first and second cantilever brackets 238, 282. It is also contemplated that a single spacer 78 can be used. As such, the spacer 78 can be associated with one of the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234. Additionally or alternatively, the hook 46 and the protrusion 186 of each of the first adapter member 242 and the second adapter member 286 can extend through the aperture 50 of the plurality of apertures 38 to secure and / or retain the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234 to the first and second step racks 158, 162.

[0057] Use of the present disclosure can provide a variety of advantages. For example, the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234 can include a first track assembly 262 and a second track assembly 294, which can translate the storage feature 90 between the stowed position 94 and the deployed position 98. In addition, the storage feature 90 can be operated between the stowed position 94 and the deployed position 98, which can improve the accessibility of the storage feature 90 to the user. Further, the first spacer 266 and the second spacer 306 can provide adjustment of the gap 338 between the corresponding inner tank surface 86, 342 and each of the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282. In addition, the gap 338 can increase the airflow within the appliance 10. In addition, the first locking member 258 and the second locking member 290 can provide increased stability for the second end 182 of each of the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282 by an interference fit with the first step-shaped rack 158 and the second step-shaped rack 162. Moreover, the first spacer 266 and the second spacer 306 can provide increased stability to the first ends 82 of the first cantilever bracket 238 and the second cantilever bracket 282. Further, the first spacer 266 and the second spacer 306 can reduce lateral movement of the first support assembly 154 and the second support assembly 234 and, accordingly, the storage feature 90. The reduction in lateral movement can occur when the storage feature 90 is in the stowed position 94, the deployed position 98, and when translating therebetween. Additional benefits or advantages of using the device can also be realized and / or achieved.
