Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to an electric dust collector which collects dust in the air by utilizing an electric field. Background Art
[0002] In the manufacturing site, there is a great demand for equipment that can collect dust only for a part of the process, that is, to collect dust in the air locally.
[0003] Generally, as technical measures for removing dust in the air, there are air purifiers using filters and electric dust collectors using electric fields.
[0004] In addition, there are one-stage electric dust collectors and two-stage electric dust collectors.
[0005] As disclosed in Patent Document 1 or Patent Document 2, a one-stage electric dust collector has a structure in which dust in the air is directly collected on a dust collecting plate by using an ionizing section as a high voltage electrode and a dust collecting plate as a counter electrode.
[0006] Therefore, the one-stage electric dust collector has a simple structure and can collect dust even without power, so it is often used as a small or thin electric dust collector.
[0007] In contrast, as described in Patent Documents 3 and 4, a two-stage electric dust collector has a two-stage structure consisting of an ionization section that charges dust and a dust collecting section composed of a high-voltage electrode and a dust collecting plate that collects the charged dust through an electric field.
[0008] In particular, the electric dust collectors disclosed in Patent Documents 3 and 4 use a technique in which dust collecting plates or high-voltage electrodes are made of semi-insulating materials to prevent a decrease in dust collecting efficiency due to spark discharge.

[0015] [Problems to be solved by the invention]
[0016] However, the above-mentioned known electric dust collector has the following problems.
[0017] In the one-stage electric dust collector disclosed in Patent Document 1, although the electric field can be diffused, the Coulomb force is weakened because it is far away from the source of the electric field. The dust that can be collected with such a weak Coulomb force is limited to small particles. Moreover, in the case of a weak Coulomb force, it is difficult to strongly fix the dust on the dust collecting plate, and the dust may be peeled off by wind or the like. Therefore, there is a problem that the air is polluted again by the peeled dust.
[0018] Furthermore, in the one-stage electric dust collector disclosed in Patent Document 2, although a strong electric field can be obtained, the generation of the electric field is limited to between the discharge electrode and the dust collecting plate. Therefore, the ions are immediately drawn to the dust collecting plate, and there is a problem that the ions cannot be fully diffused and the dust collecting range is narrow.
[0019] That is, the above-mentioned one-stage electric dust collectors all have the problem of narrow dust collection range and low dust collection capacity, and cannot effectively collect dust.
[0020] On the other hand, in the two-stage electric dust collector, although the dust collection range is wider and the dust collection capacity is extremely high compared to the one-stage electric dust collector, in order to prevent spark discharge, the ionization unit and the dust collection unit must be separated. Therefore, a power to drive these units is required, and the ionization unit and other devices including other units such as the ozone treatment device must be connected in a linear manner. As a result, the two-stage electric dust collector itself will be large-scale, and the two-stage electric dust collector cannot be used as a local dust collection device for only a part of the process.
[0021] The present invention has been developed to solve the above-mentioned problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an electric dust collector which has a wide dust collection range and a high dust collection capacity and which can be made smaller and thinner.
[0022] [Technical means to solve the problem]
[0023] In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the electric dust collector of the first invention of the present application is composed of an ionization section for generating ions and a dust collecting section for electrically collecting dust attached with ions, and is constructed as follows: the ionization section is an ionizer that generates ions with the same polarity as the polarity of the applied voltage by applying a predetermined voltage to the electrode needle and generating corona discharge; the dust collecting section comprises: a high-voltage electrode, which is arranged at the rear section of the ionization section, has a plurality of gaps for the dust attached with ions to pass through, and is applied with a predetermined voltage; and a dust collecting plate, which is arranged at the rear section of the high-voltage electrode, and is applied with a voltage whose polarity is opposite to the polarity of the voltage applied to the high-voltage electrode, so that the dust attached with ions is electrically adsorbed; the polarity of the voltage applied to the electrode needle of the ionization section and the polarity of the voltage applied to the high-voltage electrode are set to the same polarity, and the high-voltage electrode of the dust collecting section is covered with an insulator, and the dust collecting plate is covered with an insulator belonging to a different body from the aforementioned insulator.
[0024] According to this structure, when a predetermined voltage of the same polarity is applied to the ionization section and the high-voltage electrode, and a predetermined voltage of the opposite polarity is applied to the dust collecting plate, a corona discharge will be generated in the ionization section, and a large number of ions with the same polarity as the applied voltage will be generated from the ionization section. At this time, since a voltage with the same polarity as the ions is applied to the high-voltage electrode disposed in the rear section of the ionization section, a large number of ions will be repelled by the high-voltage electrode, so that the movement to the dust collecting plate side is suppressed. That is, between the ionization section and the dust collecting plate, a high-voltage electrode with the same polarity as the ions is sandwiched, so as to prevent the formation of a direct electric field between the ionization section and the dust collecting plate. Accordingly, a large number of ions will not tend to the dust collecting plate side, but will be widely diffused in front of the high-voltage electrode and attached to a wide range of dust. As a result, a wide range of dust is charged.
[0025] After the charged dust passes through the gap of the high voltage electrode, it will be pulled toward the dust collecting plate due to the strong electric field generated between the high voltage electrode and the dust collecting plate, and electrically adsorbed to the dust collecting plate. That is, the electric dust collector of the present invention has the ability to charge dust in a wide range and efficiently collect a large amount of charged dust through a strong electric field.
[0026] However, if the distance between the ionization unit and the dust collecting plate is very close, there is a concern that spark discharge will occur and ozone will be generated. In addition, since the energy that should be supplied to generate ions will be used for spark discharge, there is a concern that the dust collecting efficiency will also be reduced.
[0027] However, in the electric dust collector of the present invention, as described above, the high voltage electrode is interposed between the ionization section and the dust collecting plate, and the polarity of the voltage applied to the ionization section and the polarity of the voltage applied to the high voltage electrode are set to the same polarity, so that no electric field is directly generated between the ionization section and the dust collecting plate. Therefore, spark discharge is hardly generated. Moreover, since the high voltage electrode and the dust collecting plate are covered with an insulator, the occurrence of spark discharge can be reliably prevented.
[0028] The second invention is an electric dust collector according to the first invention, wherein the high voltage electrode of the dust collecting section is formed by a plurality of linear conductors arranged in parallel at predetermined intervals and respectively covered with an insulator, and the dust collecting plate of the dust collecting section is formed by a flat conductor covered with an insulating resin film.
[0029] According to this structure, by forming a high voltage electrode by a plurality of linear conductors arranged in parallel and covered with an insulator, the electric field between the ionization unit and the high voltage electrode can be suppressed, and a strong electric field can be generated between the high voltage electrode and the dust collecting plate, and the charged dust can be surely passed through and smoothly moved to the dust collecting plate side. In addition, by adopting a structure in which the dust collecting plate is coated with an insulating resin film, the effect of preventing spark discharge can be improved.
[0030] The third invention is the electric dust collector according to the second invention, wherein the volume resistivity of the resin film is set to 10 10 Ω·cm to 10 13 The thickness is set to about 0.1 mm, and the distance from the ionization section to the dust collecting plate of the dust collecting section is set to less than 100 mm.
[0031] The fourth invention is an electric dust collector according to the second invention or the third invention, wherein the spacing between the plurality of linear conductors forming the high voltage electrode is set within the range of 40 mm to 100 mm, the distance between the high voltage electrode formed by the plurality of linear conductors and the dust collecting plate is set within the range of 10 mm to 80 mm, and the distance from the electrode needle of the ionization section to the dust collecting plate of the dust collecting section is set within the range of 30 mm to 100 mm.
[0032] The fifth invention is the electric dust collector according to any one of the second to fourth inventions, wherein the ionizer is a DC ionizer that generates ions by applying a DC voltage, and the voltages applied to the high voltage electrode and the dust collecting plate are DC voltages of opposite polarities.
[0033] [Effects of the invention]
[0034] As described in detail above, according to the electric dust collector of the present invention, dust in a wide range can be charged, and a large amount of charged dust can be collected by a strong electric field. Moreover, by setting the voltage polarity of the ionization part and the high-voltage electrode to the same polarity, and covering the high-voltage electrode and the dust collecting plate with an insulator, the generation of spark discharge can be effectively prevented, and equipment such as an ozone treatment device is not required, so the overall miniaturization and thinning of the device can be sought. That is, according to the electric dust collector of the present invention, it has the excellent effect of ensuring a wide dust collection range and a high dust collection capacity, and can achieve miniaturization and thinning.
[0035] In addition, according to the second invention, the dust collecting capability and the effect of preventing spark discharge can be further improved.
[0036] Furthermore, according to the third and fourth inventions, it is possible to further reduce the size and thickness of the device. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0045] The most preferred embodiment of the present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0046] (Example 1)
[0047] Figure 1 A perspective view showing an electric dust collector according to a first embodiment of the present invention is shown. Figure 2 for Figure 1 The cross-section of the arrow A-A. Figure 3 To show the component in partial section Figure 1 An exploded oblique view of an electric dust collector.
[0048] like Figure 1 As shown, the electric dust collector 1 of this embodiment has a structure in which an ionizing unit 3 and a dust collecting unit 4 are assembled in an outer box 2 .
[0049] Outer box 2 is the front ( Figure 1 The front side) and rear side ( Figure 1 An insulating quadrangular frame with an opening is formed on the rear side of the outer box 2, the ionization unit 3 is assembled in the front section of the outer box 2, and the dust collecting unit 4 is assembled in the middle section to the rear section of the outer box 2.
[0050] The ionization unit 3 is a part for generating ions, and is composed of an ionizer 30 and a power source 10 .
[0051] The ionizer 30 is installed at the front center of the lower surface of the upper frame 21 of the outer box 2. The ionizer 30 is a DC ionizer, such as Figure 2 As shown, an electrode needle 30a is provided inside the electrode needle 30a. The front end of the electrode needle 30a is arranged to face downward, and the rear end is connected to the positive electrode 10a of the power supply 10 that generates a DC voltage.
[0052] That is, the positive DC voltage from the power supply 10 is applied to the electrode needle 30a of the ionizer 30. According to this design, corona discharge can be generated at the front end of the electrode needle 30a, so that the air existing around the electrode needle 30a is electrically decomposed to generate positive ions.
[0053] The voltage applied to the electrode needle 30 a to generate ions generally needs to be in the range of 3 kV to 6 kV. That is, a DC power source in the range of 3 kV to 6 kV is used as the power source 10 .
[0054] In addition, the polarity of the voltage applied to the electrode needle 30a may be arbitrary, but in the present embodiment, a positive DC voltage is applied.
[0055] That is, the direction of the electrode needle 30 a and the voltage of the power supply 10 are set so that the positive electrode ions diffuse in front of the dust collecting section 4 in parallel with the surface of the dust collecting section 4 .
[0056] The dust collecting section 4 is a part for electrically collecting dust to which ions are attached, and is composed of a high voltage electrode 5 at the front stage and a dust collecting plate 6 at the rear stage.
[0057] The high voltage electrode 5 of the dust collecting section 4 is a plurality of linear conductors 50 disposed at the rear stage of the ionizing section 3 , and is connected to a power source 10 .
[0058] like Figure 3 As shown, a plurality of linear conductors 50 are arranged in parallel in a vertical state and in parallel at predetermined intervals.
[0059] The above-mentioned intervals (that is, the intervals G between the plurality of linear conductors 50 arranged in parallel in the transverse direction) are gaps for the dust to which ions are attached to pass, and are set within the range of 40 mm to 100 mm.
[0060] The plurality of linear conductors 50 are each covered with an insulator 51 .
[0061] It is preferred that these linear conductors 50 be as thin as possible and have high voltage resistance.
[0062] For example, the linear conductor 50 is preferably made of copper, nickel, or an alloy of these metals, and the insulator 51 is preferably made of silicone resin.
[0063] The upper end 50 a of the linear conductor 50 is connected to a strip conductor 52 a provided on the lower surface of the upper frame 21 of the outer box 2 , and the strip conductor 52 a is connected to the positive electrode 10 a of the power source 10 .
[0064] According to this configuration, a DC voltage from the positive electrode of the power source 10 is applied to the plurality of linear conductors 50 .
[0065] That is, if Figure 2 As shown, in the electric dust collector 1 of this embodiment, the DC voltages applied to the electrode needles 30a of the ionizer 30 and the plurality of linear conductors 50 are set to have the same polarity and the same voltage value.
[0066] In this way, by setting the DC voltage applied to the electrode needle 30a of the ionizer 30 and the multiple linear conductors 50 to the same polarity, the ions generated by the ionizer 30 can be prevented from being directly adsorbed on the dust collecting plate 6 by the multiple linear conductors 50 that constitute the high-voltage electrode 5, and the ions can be diffused by the repulsion effect of the same polarity.
[0067] In addition, in the present embodiment, the DC voltage applied to the electrode needle 30a of the ionizer 30 and the plurality of linear conductors 50 is set to the same voltage value, but it is obvious that they may be set to different voltage values as long as they are of the same polarity.
[0068] like Figure 3 As shown, the dust collecting plate 6 of the dust collecting part 4 is a flat conductor arranged at the rear stage of the high voltage electrode 5 and is connected to the power supply 10.
[0069] The dust collecting plate 6 is in the dust collecting direction ( Figure 2 The electrode is arranged in an upright state vertically (in the right direction) and at a predetermined distance rearward from the high voltage electrode 5.
[0070] In addition, if Figure 2As shown, the distance L1 from the electrode needle 30a of the ionizer 30 to the dust collecting plate 6 is set in the range of 30 mm to 100 mm, and the distance L2 from the high voltage electrode 5 to the dust collecting plate 6 is set in the range of 10 mm to 80 mm.
[0071] like Figure 3 As shown, the dust collecting plate 6 is covered with an insulator 61 which is a different body from the insulator 51 of the linear conductor 50.
[0072] The insulator 61 is an insulating resin film such as PET (polyethylene terephthalate). The volume resistivity of the insulator 61 is set to 10 10 Ω·cm to 10 13 In the range of Ω·cm, the thickness is set at approximately 0.1mm.
[0073] In addition, the dust collecting plate 6 can be made of a conductor such as a metal such as copper foil or aluminum foil or a carbon material.
[0074] like Figure 2 As shown, the upper end 6a of the dust collecting plate 6 covered with the insulator 61 in this way is connected to the terminal 62a provided behind the lower surface of the upper frame 21 of the outer box 2, and the terminal 62a is connected to the negative electrode 10b of the power supply 10.
[0075] According to this configuration, a DC voltage from the negative electrode of the power source 10 is applied to the dust collecting plate 6 .
[0076] That is, in the electric dust collector 1 of this embodiment, a DC voltage having a polarity opposite to that of the voltage applied to the high voltage electrode 5 is set to be applied to the dust collecting plate 6. The voltage value is a voltage value in the range of -500V to 5kV.
[0077] In this way, by applying a voltage with opposite polarity to the high-voltage electrode 5 to the dust collecting plate 6, a strong electric field will be generated between the high-voltage electrode 5 and the dust collecting plate 6, and the charged dust passing through the gap G of the high-voltage electrode 5 can be strongly and quickly adsorbed to the dust collecting plate 6.
[0078] Next, the function and effect of the electric dust collector 1 of this embodiment will be described.
[0079] Figure 4 This is a cross-sectional view showing the state of ion generation by the ionization unit 3. Figure 5 This is a cross-sectional view showing the dust collection state of the charged dust from above.
[0080] At Figure 2 In the process, a DC voltage of the positive pole of the power source 10 is applied to the electrode needle 30 a of the ionizer 30 and the linear conductor 50 of the high voltage electrode 5 , and a DC voltage of the negative pole is applied to the dust collecting plate 6 .
[0081] Thus, since the positive DC voltage is applied to the electrode needle 30a of the ionizer 30, Figure 4 As shown, positive ions I are generated at the tip portion of the electrode needle 30 a , and a large amount of the ions I are diffused to the surroundings.
[0082] At this time, although ion I is pulled toward the dust collecting plate 6 side, since a positive DC voltage with the same polarity as ion I is applied to the linear conductor 50 of the high voltage electrode 5, the movement of ion I toward the dust collecting plate 6 side will be inhibited by the linear conductor 50 with the same polarity.
[0083] That is, the linear conductor 50 to which a voltage having the same polarity as that of the ion I is applied is disposed between the ionizer 30 and the dust collecting plate 6 , so that a direct electric field is not formed between the electrode needle 30 a of the ionizer 30 and the dust collecting plate 6 .
[0084] Therefore, a large number of ions I are not attracted by the dust collecting plate 6 but are widely diffused in front of the high voltage electrode 5 and attached to dust existing in a wide range of space in front of the high voltage electrode 5. That is, the existence of the high voltage electrode 5 to which the voltage of the same polarity as that of the ionizer 30 is applied causes dust in a wide range to be charged.
[0085] Moreover, if Figure 5 As shown, a strong electric field E from the high voltage electrode 5 toward the dust collecting plate 6 is generated between the linear conductor 50 of the high voltage electrode 5 and the dust collecting plate 6. Therefore, when the dust D with positive charge passes through the gap G between the high voltage electrodes 5, these charged dust D will be rapidly and forcefully pulled toward the dust collecting plate 6 and electrically adsorbed to the dust collecting plate 6.
[0086] That is, according to the electric dust collector 1 of this embodiment, a large amount of dust is charged in a wide range, and the charged dust is strongly and quickly collected due to the strong electric field between the high-voltage electrode 5 and the dust collecting plate 6.
[0087] In order to verify this point, the inventors conducted a comparative experiment on the dust collecting capabilities of the electric dust collector 1 of this embodiment and a known electric dust collector from which the high-voltage electrode 5 was removed.
[0088] Therefore, in the known electric dust collector, only dust within a radius of about 100 mm can be collected from the ionizer 30 of the ionization unit 3. In contrast, in the electric dust collector 1 of this embodiment, dust within a radius of more than 400 mm can be collected from the ionizer 30.
[0089] As a result, the inventors have confirmed that the electric dust collector 1 of the present embodiment has a much wider dust collection range and dust collection capacity than the conventional electric dust collector.
[0090] However, when the distance between the ionizer 30 of the ionization unit 3 and the dust collecting plate 6 is short, spark discharge may occur from the ionizer 30 to the dust collecting plate 6, and there is a concern that ozone may be generated.
[0091] However, in the electric dust collector 1 of this embodiment, a plurality of linear conductors 50 as high voltage electrodes 5 are interposed between the ionizer 30 and the dust collecting plate 6, and the polarity of the DC voltage applied to the ionizer 30 and the polarity of the DC voltage applied to the linear conductors 50 are set to the same polarity, so that no electric field is directly generated between the ionizer 30 and the dust collecting plate 6. Therefore, spark discharge is hardly generated. In addition, the linear conductors 50 of the high voltage electrode 5 are covered with an insulator 51, and the dust collecting plate 6 is covered with an insulator 61, so that the occurrence of spark discharge can be greatly suppressed, and the generation of ozone can be prevented.
[0092] To verify this, the inventors drove the electric dust collector 1 of this embodiment at room temperature of 20°C and air volume of 20 L / min. As a result, it was confirmed that the generated ozone was below the measurement limit of 0.001 ppm of the ozone concentration meter and could not be detected.
[0093] That is, according to this embodiment, since no equipment such as an ozone treatment device is required, a small and thin electric dust collector 1 with a thickness of less than 100 mm and a wide dust collection range and a high dust collection capacity can be provided.
[0094] (Example 2)
[0095] Next, the second embodiment will be described.
[0096] Figure 6 An exploded view of an electric dust collector for illustrating a second embodiment of the present invention.
[0097] The electric dust collector of this embodiment is different from the above-mentioned first embodiment in the electrical connection structure of the high voltage electrode and the electrical connection structure of the ionizer.
[0098] That is, in the first embodiment, a high voltage electrode having a structure in which a plurality of linear conductors 50 are connected in parallel to the positive electrode 10a of the power source 10 via the strip conductor 52a is illustrated; however, in the present embodiment, Figure 6 As shown, a configuration in which one linear conductor 50 is connected to the positive electrode 10 a of the power source 10 is applied as the high voltage electrode.
[0099] Specifically, a plurality of holes 23 are provided in the upper frame 21 and the lower frame 22 of the outer box 2, and a linear conductor 50 covered with an insulator 51 (not shown) is passed through the holes 23 in a serpentine manner like a shoelace. Then, by connecting the base end 50a of the linear conductor 50 to the positive electrode 10a of the power source 10, a high voltage electrode having the same function as the high voltage electrode of the first embodiment is formed.
[0100] Furthermore, in the first embodiment, the electric wire from the positive electrode 10a of the power source 10 is used to supply power to the ionizer 30 of the ionization section 3. In contrast, in the present embodiment, the end 50b of the linear conductor 50 is connected to the ionizer 30 of the ionization section 3, thereby allowing the linear conductor 50 to also be used as a power supply wire to the ionizer 30 of the ionization section 3.
[0101] By adopting this electrical connection structure, the electrical structure of the electric dust collector is simplified.
[0102] As for other structures, functions and effects, since they are the same as those in the above-mentioned first embodiment, their description is omitted.
[0103] In addition, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various changes or modifications can be made within the scope of the gist of the invention.
[0104] For example, in the above embodiment, Figure 3 As shown in FIG. 1 , the high voltage electrode is formed by a plurality of parallel linear conductors 50 covered with an insulator 51 , but the high voltage electrode is not limited thereto.
[0105] For example, Figure 7 As shown, a structure in which a flat plate-shaped electrode 53 having a plurality of holes G1 as gaps is covered with an insulator 54 can also be applied as a high voltage electrode.
[0106] In addition, if Figure 8 As shown, the structure in which the mesh electrode 55 having a plurality of gaps G2 is covered with an insulator 56 can also be applied as a high voltage electrode.
[0107] In addition, in the above embodiment, in order to facilitate the understanding of corona discharge, an ionizer 30 having one electrode needle 30a inside is exemplified as the ionizer of the ionization section 3, but the ionizer applicable to the electric dust collector is not limited to this. For example, a brush-shaped bundle of electrode needles made of carbonaceous conductive fibers, that is, a so-called "carbon brush ionizer", can also be applied as the ionizer of the electric dust collector.
