A perforator for creating ventricular septal defects

Abstract

This application relates to a perforator for creating a ventricular septal defect, comprising: a housing; a guide member fixedly connected to the housing, the guide member including a guide head for guiding; a cutting member slidably connected to the housing; and an operating member connected to the cutting member. The perforator has a first state, a second state, and a third state. In the first state, the perforator can pass through the ventricular wall from outside the heart and enter the heart, so that the perforator is located on the penetration side of the ventricular septum to be perforated. In the second state, the perforator can move from the penetration side to the exit side, so that the guide head reaches the exit side, and the cutting member remains on the penetration side of the ventricular septum to be perforated. In the third state, the operating member can drive the cutting member located on the penetration side towards the guide head located on the exit side under the action of external force, so as to punch a hole in the ventricular septum to be perforated. This perforator can replace surgical methods to create a hole in the ventricular septum of an animal heart, requires less operational skill, and is easier to prepare.
