Abstract

The present application provides a method and system for hydrogenation lightening of ethylene tar, which comprises: a) removing gum from ethylene tar raw material through pretreatment separation; b) removing the polymerizable component above 200 DEG C through first liquid-phase hydrogenation of the ethylene tar raw material from which the gum is removed to obtain a first liquid-phase hydrogenation stream; c) after gas-liquid separation of the first liquid-phase hydrogenation stream, the liquid-phase stream is subjected to second gas-phase hydrogenation so that the unsaturated hydrocarbon component in the liquid-phase stream is subjected to second gas-phase hydrogenation to obtain a second gas-phase hydrogenation stream; d) after gas-liquid separation of the second gas-phase hydrogenation stream, the liquid-phase mixture is separated to obtain a light fraction with a distillation range of 40-220 DEG C and a heavy fraction. The present application can recover and separate heavy aromatic solvent oil and other products. The method can be used for treating C9+, C10+ ethylene tar byproduct of refinery device to increase production of light aromatic hydrocarbon or high-octane gasoline blending component with high added value.
