Abstract

A sensor system for a household appliance carrying a liquid, in particular a washing machine, in which the sensor system comprises at least one detection element for detecting a heat flow and is designed to arrange the at least one detection element in the household appliance adjacent to a chamber region designed to contain the liquid, the at least one detection element is arranged such that the at least one detection element can detect a heat flow between the at least one detection element and the chamber region, which heat flow indicates a filling level of a liquid, in particular a washing liquid, in the chamber region.
