Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a driving tool for driving a driving member such as a staple into wood or the like. Background Art
[0002] Patent document 1 discloses a pneumatic driving tool that uses the air pressure of supplied compressed gas as a thrust to eject a driven part. A U-shaped nail is used as the driven part. The U-shaped nail is in the shape of a U with a pair of legs extending from both ends of a straight head in substantially orthogonal directions. The driving tool has a driving tool and a driving passage, wherein the driving tool strikes the U-shaped nail; and the driving passage is for the driving tool to move. The U-shaped nails are sequentially supplied to the driving passage in a state where a pair of legs are arranged on the driving direction side and a head is arranged on the side opposite to the driving direction. The driving tool strikes the head of the U-shaped nail supplied to the driving passage in the driving direction. The struck U-shaped nail is ejected from the ejection port toward the driven part in a posture where the pair of legs are facing the driven part side.
[0003] The driving tool is provided with a nail magazine for accommodating a plurality of U-shaped nails. The nail magazine is provided with a pusher, which applies force to the plurality of U-shaped nails toward the driving passage. The nail magazine has a main nail magazine that is roughly box-shaped and can accommodate a plurality of U-shaped nails. The nail magazine has a U-shaped nail guide, which enters between a pair of legs of the U-shaped nails in the main nail magazine. The U-shaped nail guide is connected to the pusher to form a secondary nail magazine. The main nail magazine has an opening on the driving direction side, and the back side is located at the back side on the side opposite to the driving direction. A plurality of U-shaped nails connected to each other are accommodated in the main nail magazine in a posture where a plurality of heads are arranged along the back side. The heads of the U-shaped nails are clamped between the back side of the main nail magazine and the end face of the U-shaped nail guide on the side opposite to the driving direction. The secondary nail magazine is integrally provided with a magazine end (magazine end) that opens and closes the opening of the main nail magazine. The magazine end slides parallel to the conveying direction of the U-shaped nails conveyed by the pusher. The staple guide also slides with the end of the staple magazine.
[0004] When loading U-shaped nails in the main nail box, the U-shaped nails sometimes tilt in the main nail box. For example, when the number of U-shaped nails connected to each other is small, the U-shaped nails tend to tilt from the head to the leg in the direction close to the side of the driving passage. When the U-shaped nails are tilted, the head of the U-shaped nail, etc. enter the area where the U-shaped nail guide can originally slide. The U-shaped nail guide is set so that the gap between it and the head of the U-shaped nail is as small as possible in order to suppress the shaking of the U-shaped nails in the main nail box. Therefore, even if the U-shaped nails are slightly tilted, the U-shaped nail guide and the head of the U-shaped nail, etc. will interfere with each other. Therefore, the end of the nail box cannot be closed, and measures such as correcting the tilt of the U-shaped nails need to be taken. However, when the number of U-shaped nails connected to each other is small, it is difficult to keep the leg from tilting to the side of the driving passage. [Prior art literature] [Patent Document]
[0005] Patent Document 1: Japanese Patent Publication No. 5125844 Summary of the invention
[0006] Therefore, when loading U-shaped staples into the main staple magazine, it is necessary to suppress interference between the staple guide and the staples.
[0007] According to one feature of the present invention, the driving tool ejects a U-shaped U-shaped nail, wherein the U-shaped nail has a head connected to a pair of legs. The driving tool has a tool body, and the tool body has a driving device for striking the U-shaped nail. The driving tool has a main nail magazine, which extends from the tool body and accommodates a plurality of U-shaped nails. The driving tool has a pusher, which pushes the plurality of U-shaped nails toward the tool body in the main nail magazine. The driving tool has a U-shaped nail guide, which is inserted between a pair of legs of the U-shaped nails in the main nail magazine. The driving tool has a secondary nail magazine, and the secondary nail magazine is equipped with a pusher and a U-shaped nail guide. The driving tool has a guiding mechanism, which guides the secondary nail magazine from an open position relative to the main nail magazine to a closed position close to the tool body, and guides the secondary nail magazine in a direction opposite to the driving direction during the movement of the secondary nail magazine from the open position to the closed position.
[0008] Therefore, compared with the case where the secondary nail magazine is close to the closed position, when the secondary nail magazine is far from the closed position, the U-shaped nail guide is located at a position relatively closer to the driving direction side. Therefore, when the secondary nail magazine is far from the closed position, a gap can be set between the top of the U-shaped nail guide on the side opposite to the driving direction and the head of the U-shaped nail in the main nail magazine. Therefore, even if the U-shaped nail is slightly tilted in the conveying direction, the head of the U-shaped nail and the U-shaped nail guide can be suppressed from interfering with each other. Accordingly, the guiding mechanism can move the U-shaped nail guide to the closed position in a manner that the U-shaped nail guide does not interfere with the U-shaped nail. When the secondary nail magazine is close to the closed position, the top of the U-shaped nail guide on the side opposite to the driving direction is close to the head of the U-shaped nail in the main nail magazine. Therefore, the U-shaped nail guide can suppress the shaking of the U-shaped nail in the main nail magazine by moving the secondary nail magazine to the closed position. DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0010] According to another feature of the present invention, the guide mechanism has a track, and the track is arranged on one of the two parts of the main nail magazine and the auxiliary nail magazine. The guide mechanism has a track clamping portion, and the track clamping portion is arranged on the other of the two parts and is slidably engaged with the track. Therefore, the auxiliary nail magazine can be reliably guided to move relative to the main nail magazine by the track and the track clamping portion. Therefore, when the auxiliary nail magazine is in the open position, the U-shaped nail guide can be reliably guided to a position away from the head of the U-shaped nail on the driving direction side. When the auxiliary nail magazine is in the closed position, the U-shaped nail guide can be reliably guided to approach the head of the U-shaped nail on the side opposite to the driving direction. Accordingly, when the auxiliary nail magazine is closed, the interference between the U-shaped nail guide and the head of the U-shaped nail can be reliably suppressed, and the shaking of the U-shaped nails in the main nail magazine can also be suppressed.
[0011] According to another feature of the present invention, the track includes a first track and a second track, wherein the first track extends in a straight line toward the tool body; and the second track bends from the top of the first track in a direction opposite to the driving direction. Therefore, when the track engaging portion engages with the first track and the auxiliary nail magazine is away from the closed position, the U-shaped nail guide is kept so as not to move to the side opposite to the driving direction. When the auxiliary nail magazine is brought close to the closed position and the track engaging portion engages with the second track, the U-shaped nail guide can be moved to the side opposite to the driving direction. Therefore, until the auxiliary nail magazine is brought close to the closed position, the U-shaped nail guide and the head of the U-shaped nail can be suppressed from interfering with each other. Accordingly, for example, even when the number of connections of a plurality of U-shaped nails is small and the U-shaped nail farthest from the tool body is relatively close to the tool body, the U-shaped nail guide and the head of the U-shaped nail can be suppressed from interfering with each other.
[0012] According to another feature of the present invention, the track includes a third track, which is bent from the top of the second track toward the tool body and extends parallel to the first track. Therefore, when the track engaging portion is engaged with the third track, the U-shaped nail guide can be moved parallel to the conveying direction of the U-shaped nail. The U-shaped nail guide is close enough to the head of the U-shaped nail at the stage where the track engaging portion is engaged with the second track. Therefore, when the auxiliary nail magazine is moved to the closed position, the U-shaped nail can be smoothly guided to the tool body while suppressing the shaking of the U-shaped nail.
[0013] According to another feature of the present invention, the main nail magazine has a back side facing the heads of the plurality of U-shaped nails. The back side has a retreat surface, which is provided on the tool body side and forms a gap with the auxiliary nail magazine in the driving direction. Therefore, by providing the retreat surface on the tool body side of the back side, even when the number of U-shaped nails connected is small or the U-shaped nails are tilted in the main nail magazine, a gap can be ensured between the U-shaped nail guide moved to the vicinity of the closed position and the heads of the U-shaped nails. Accordingly, the auxiliary nail magazine can be smoothly moved to the closed position.
[0014] According to another feature of the present invention, the retreat surface is an inclined surface that is inclined in a direction opposite to the driving direction as it approaches the tool body. Therefore, the U-shaped nail guide moves in a direction opposite to the driving direction when moving to the closed position. By making the inclination direction of the retreat surface follow the moving direction of the U-shaped nail guide, a gap can always be ensured between the U-shaped nail guide and the head of the U-shaped nail. Accordingly, the auxiliary nail magazine can be moved to the closed position more reliably.
[0015] According to another feature of the present invention, the main nail magazine has a track. The retraction surface extends toward the tool body from a starting end at a position farther from the tool body than the top end of the tool body side of the first track. Therefore, when the auxiliary nail magazine is moved to the closed position, the U-shaped nail guide approaches the head of the U-shaped nail in a direction opposite to the driving direction. The retraction surface forms a gap through which the U-shaped nail can be retracted in a direction opposite to the driving direction before the U-shaped nail guide approaches the head of the U-shaped nail. Therefore, until the auxiliary nail magazine is moved to the closed position, the U-shaped nail guide and the head of the U-shaped nail can be prevented from interfering.
[0016] According to another feature of the present invention, the depth of the retreat surface in the driving direction is smaller than the amount of movement of the guide mechanism in guiding the auxiliary nail magazine in the driving direction. Therefore, when the auxiliary nail magazine is moved to the closed position, the gap between the U-shaped nail guide and the head of the U-shaped nail gradually narrows. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the U-shaped nails in the main nail magazine from shaking after the auxiliary nail magazine is moved to the closed position.
[0017] According to another feature of the present invention, the pusher is arranged on the auxiliary nail magazine at a position farther from the tool body side than the top end of the U-shaped nail guide. Therefore, when the auxiliary nail magazine is moved to the closed position, the U-shaped nail guide enters between the pair of legs before the pusher contacts the U-shaped nail. Therefore, for example, even if the U-shaped nail is tilted by being pressed by the pusher, the top end of the U-shaped nail guide enters a position to avoid interference with the head of the U-shaped nail. Accordingly, it is possible to suppress interference between the U-shaped nail guide and the head of the U-shaped nail.
[0018] According to another feature of the present invention, the U-shaped staples in the main staple magazine are tilted toward the tool body from the head toward the top of the leg when the driver is in the standby position. Therefore, the head of the U-shaped staple is tilted in the direction opposite to the driving direction as it approaches the tool body. In this way, even for U-shaped staples tilted in the main staple magazine, a gap can be ensured between the U-shaped staple guide and the head of the U-shaped staple to suppress mutual interference.
[0019] Next, according to Figures 1 to 13 One embodiment of the present invention is described below. As an example of a driving tool 1, a so-called gas spring type driving tool that uses the gas pressure of a pressure storage chamber as a thrust for driving a driven part is shown. In the following description, the driving direction of the driven part is defined as the downward direction, and the direction opposite to the driving direction is defined as the upward direction. The user of the driving tool 1 is located at Figure 1 The left side of the tool 1 is roughly driven into the middle. The near front side close to the user is set as the rear direction, and the back side viewed from the user on the opposite side of the near front side close to the user is set as the front direction. The left and right directions are based on the user.
[0020] like Figure 2As shown, the driving tool 1 has a tool body 10. The tool body 10 has a structure in which a cylinder 12 is housed in a main body shell 11 that is roughly cylindrical. A piston 14 is housed in the cylinder 12 in a manner that allows it to reciprocate up and down. The upper portion of the cylinder 12 located above the piston 14 is connected to a pressure storage chamber 13. Compressed gas such as air is sealed in the pressure storage chamber 13. The air pressure in the pressure storage chamber 13 acts as a thrust for applying force to the upper surface of the piston 14 to move it downward. At the lower portion of the cylinder 12, a buffer portion 16 for absorbing the impact of the lower dead center of the piston 14 is provided.
[0021] like Figure 2 As shown, a driver head 2 having a driving passage 3 is provided at the lower part of the tool body 10. The driving passage 3 extends in the up-down direction in the tool body 10. The driving passage 3 is connected to the lower part of the cylinder 12. A nail magazine 30 for loading U-shaped nails 60 is connected to the rear of the driver head 2. In the nail magazine 30, a plurality of U-shaped nails 60 extending in the up-down direction and arranged in the front-to-back direction can be accommodated. The plurality of U-shaped nails 60 are bonded to each other in a state of being arranged in the front-to-back direction (refer to Figure 8 ).
[0022] like Figure 2 As shown, the U-shaped nail 60 is a U-shaped nail. The U-shaped nail 60 has a rod-shaped head 60a and a pair of legs 60b, wherein the head 60a extends in the left-right direction; and the pair of legs 60b extend from both ends of the head 60a in a direction substantially orthogonal to the head 60a. The U-shaped nail 60 is stored in the nail magazine 30 in a posture where the head 60a is located at the top and the pair of legs 60b extend downward. The U-shaped nails 60 are sequentially supplied one by one from the nail magazine 30 toward the driving passage 3.
[0023] like Figure 1 As shown, a contact arm 4 that can slide up and down is provided on the driver head 2. The contact arm 4 is urged toward the disconnected position below. The top end 4a of the contact arm 4 abuts against the driven workpiece W, thereby overcoming the urging force and moving toward the connected position above.
[0024] like Figure 1 As shown, a grip 5 for the user to hold is provided at the rear of the tool body 10. A trigger 6 for the user to pull with a fingertip is provided on the front lower surface of the grip 5. A trigger switch is provided inside the grip 5, which switches from an off state to an on state in response to the pulling operation of the trigger 6. When the top end 4a of the contact arm 4 is pressed by the driven workpiece and moves to the on position, the pulling operation of the trigger 6 is effective.
[0025] like Figure 1As shown, a battery mounting portion 7 extending in the up-down direction is provided on the rear surface of the handle 5. A battery pack 8 can be detachably mounted on the battery mounting portion 7. The battery pack 8 can be removed from the battery mounting portion 7 and repeatedly charged with a charger prepared separately for use. The battery pack 8 can also be used as a power source for other electric tools. The battery pack 8 works as a power source for supplying electric power to the motor 20 described later, etc.
[0026] like Figure 1 As shown, the main body housing 11 has a roughly cylindrical drive housing 11a and a connecting portion 11b, wherein the drive housing 11a extends in the front-to-back direction above the nail magazine 30; the connecting portion 11b connects the drive housing 11a and the battery mounting portion 7 up and down. The handle 5, the battery mounting portion 7, the connecting portion 11b and the drive housing 11a cooperate to form a ring shape. The controller 9 housed in a shallow-bottomed rectangular box-shaped housing is housed in the connecting portion 11b in a posture extending in the up-down direction. The controller 9 mainly controls the drive of the motor 20.
[0027] like Figure 2 As shown, a driver 15 having a vertical length is connected to the lower surface of the piston 14. The driver 15 has a main body 15a connected to the piston 14 and a striking part 15c connected to the lower part of the main body 15a. The striking part 15c extends in the vertical direction in parallel with the main body 15a behind the main body 15a. That is, the driver 15 is provided with a front-to-back double-layer structure of the main body 15a and the striking part 15c. The lower part of the striking part 15c enters the driving passage 3. The driver 15 moves downward by the air pressure of the pressure accumulator chamber 13 acting on the upper surface of the piston 14. The top end 15d located at the lower end of the striking part 15c strikes a U-shaped nail 60 supplied to the driving passage 3 when moving to the driving position. The struck U-shaped nail 60 is ejected from the ejection port 3a opened at the lower end of the driving passage 3. The ejected U-shaped nail 60 is driven into the driven workpiece W.
[0028] like Figure 2 As shown in the figure, a plurality of rack teeth (engaged portion) 15b protruding to the right are provided on the right side of the main body 15a of the driver 15. In the present embodiment, six rack teeth 15b are arranged in the length direction (up and down direction) of the main body 15a. Each rack tooth 15b is arranged in a roughly triangular shape with the bottom facing the driving direction side (lower side) when viewed from the front-back direction. The bottom of the rack teeth 15b is engaged with the engaging portion 24 of the lifting mechanism 22 described later.
[0029] like Figure 1As shown, a motor 20 as a driving source is accommodated in the driving unit housing 11a. The motor 20 is accommodated in a posture that the motor axis extends in the front-to-back direction. The motor 20 uses the power of the battery pack 8 as a power source and is started by pulling the trigger 6. A planetary reduction mechanism 21 is provided in front of the motor 20. The planetary reduction mechanism 21 uses a three-row planetary gear train. A lifting mechanism 22 for moving the driver 15 upward is provided in front of the planetary reduction mechanism 21. The motor 20, the planetary reduction mechanism 21 and the lifting mechanism 22 are arranged on the motor axis. The rotational drive of the motor 20 is decelerated by the planetary reduction mechanism 21 and then transmitted to the lifting mechanism 22.
[0030] like Figure 2 As shown, the lifting mechanism 22 is arranged on the right side of the driving machine head 2. The lifting mechanism 22 has a wheel portion 23 that can rotate around an axis extending in the front-to-back direction. The wheel portion 23 can rotate in the counterclockwise direction when viewed from the front, and is restricted from rotating in the clockwise direction by a clutch mechanism not shown in the figure. A plurality of engaging portions 24 are installed along the outer periphery of the wheel portion 23. In the present embodiment, for example, 6 engaging portions 24 are provided. The engaging portion 24 uses a cylindrical shaft component (pin) extending in the front-to-back direction. The left portion of the wheel portion 23 enters the driving passage 3 through a window portion provided on the right portion of the driving passage 3.
[0031] like Figure 2 As shown in the figure, each engaging portion 24 of the wheel portion 23 engages with the bottom of the rack teeth 15b of the driver 15 in the driving passage 3. When at least one of the engaging portions 24 engages with the bottom of the rack teeth 15b, the wheel portion 23 rotates counterclockwise. As a result, the driver 15 and the piston 14 return upward. The piston 14 is returned upward by the lifting mechanism 22, thereby increasing the air pressure of the pressure storage chamber 13. The figure shows a state in which the driver 15 is lifted and held to the standby position before the driving action.
[0032] like Figure 2 , Figure 3 As shown, the contact arm 4 extends in the vertical direction on the left side of the driving passage 3. The contact arm 4 can be engaged with the stopper 56 described later on the left side of the nail magazine 30. The contact arm 4 is restricted from moving upward by engaging with the engagement portion 56c of the stopper 56. The contact arm 4 is connected to the adjustment dial 4b above the stopper 56. By rotating the adjustment dial 4b, the top 4a of the contact arm 4 can be adjusted (see Figure 1 ) in the vertical direction. A switch 4c is provided above the adjustment dial 4b. When the top 4a of the contact arm 4 is pressed against the driven workpiece, the contact arm 4 moves upward from the disconnected position to the connected position. The upwardly moving contact arm 4 presses the switch 4c to turn it on. As a result, the trigger 6 (see Figure 1) is effective. When the contact arm 4 is not pressed against the driven member and is located at the disconnected position, the switch 4c is in the disconnected state. At this time, the trigger 6 is invalid.
[0033] like Figure 1 , Figure 4 , Figure 8 As shown, the nail magazine 30 includes a main nail magazine 31 and a secondary nail magazine 33 that can slide in the front-to-back direction relative to the main nail magazine 31. The main nail magazine 31 extends rearward from the driving machine head 2. The main nail magazine 31 can accommodate a plurality of U-shaped nails 60. The front end of the main nail magazine 31 opens toward the front driving passage 3 and is connected to the front driving passage 3. At the lower end of the main nail magazine 31, an opening 31a opened toward the bottom is provided.
[0034] like Figure 4 , Figure 8 As shown, the secondary nail magazine 33 has a pusher 34 and a U-shaped nail guide 35. The pusher 34 applies force to the U-shaped nail 60 from the main nail magazine 31 to the front surface 3b of the driving passage 3. The U-shaped nail guide 35 enters between a pair of legs 60b of the U-shaped nail 60 to maintain the posture of the U-shaped nail 60 in the main nail magazine 31. The U-shaped nail guide 35 is, for example, a flat plate-shaped component made of metal such as iron. At the lower part of the secondary nail magazine 33, a nail magazine end 36 capable of opening and closing the opening 31a of the main nail magazine 31 is provided. The nail magazine end 36 is provided, for example, with a synthetic resin as a material. When the secondary nail magazine 33 is moved to the closed position M2, the nail magazine end 36 covers the opening 31a of the main nail magazine 31 from below. A protrusion 37 protruding downward is provided at the front end of the secondary nail magazine 33. The protrusion 37 cooperates with the tool body 10 to form the driving passage 3 connected to the ejection port 3a.
[0035] like Figure 4 , Figure 8 As shown, the main nail box 31 has a back side 32 whose upper end extends long in the front-to-back direction and extends in the left-to-right direction. A pair of side walls 31b extend downward from the left and right ends of the back side 32. That is, the main nail box 31 is roughly U-shaped when viewed from the front. The left-to-right width of the back side 32 and the opening 31a is the same length as the left-to-right width of the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60 or a length slightly longer than it. When the lower side of the driving tool 1 is in a posture facing the top side, the opening 31a is located on the top side and the back side 32 is located on the bottom side. A plurality of U-shaped nails 60 are loaded into the main nail box 31 from the opening 31a when the driving tool 1 is in this posture. Therefore, when loading a plurality of U-shaped nails 60, the back side 32 is equivalent to the bottom surface of the main nail box 31.
[0036] like Figure 8As shown in the figure, the rear part of the back surface 32 extends parallel to the front-to-back direction in which the staple guide 35 moves. A planar retreat surface 32a is provided at the front part of the back surface 32, which is inclined upward toward the front. The retreat surface 32a extends in a planar shape from a starting end 32b located at the rear end to a terminal 32c located at the front end. The retreat surface 32a is smoothly connected to the rear part of the back surface 32 at the starting end 32b. The vertical distance between the starting end 32b and the terminal 32c, in other words, the depth D1 of the retreat surface 32a is, for example, 1 mm.
[0037] like Figure 4 , Figure 8 , Fig.11 As shown, the front end of the U-shaped staple guide 35 extends in a straight line in the vertical direction. The upper end of the front end of the U-shaped staple guide 35 is a top end 35a facing the back side 32 of the main staple magazine 31 in the vertical direction. When the auxiliary staple magazine 33 is located at the rear open position M1, a gap longer than the vertical length of the head 60a of the U-shaped staple 60 is provided between the top end 35a of the U-shaped staple guide 35 and the rear portion of the back side 32 in the vertical direction.
[0038] like Figure 4 , Figure 8 , Fig.11 As shown, the pusher 34 is a plate-like member having a U-shape substantially the same as the U-shaped staple 60 when viewed from the front-back direction. The front surface 34a of the pusher 34 extends in a planar shape in the up-down direction. The upper end 34c of the front surface 34a of the pusher 34 is chamfered with a plane inclined relative to the front surface 34a.
[0039] like Figure 4 , Figure 8 , Fig.11 As shown, a pair of upper and lower shafts 34e extending in the front-back direction are installed on the U-shaped nail guide 35. On the pair of shafts 34e, a pusher guide 34f is installed in a manner that can slide in the front-back direction. In the secondary nail box 33, a compression spring 34d is provided in a manner that surrounds each shaft 34e in the circumferential direction. The compression spring 34d applies force to the pusher guide 34f forward. The pusher 34 is integrally arranged with the pusher guide 34f. Therefore, the pusher 34 is applied force forward in a manner that can slide in the front-back direction relative to the U-shaped nail guide 35. When the pusher 34 is not in contact with the U-shaped nail 60 and is applied force to the front end, the front surface 34a of the pusher 34 is located at a position slightly behind the top 35a of the U-shaped nail guide 35.
[0040] like Figure 4 , Figure 6 , Fig.10As shown, the nail magazine 30 has a guide mechanism 40, and the guide mechanism 40 guides the nail magazine end 36 in a manner that enables the nail magazine end 36 to slide relative to the main nail magazine 31 in the front-to-back direction. The guide mechanism 40 has a track 41 provided on the side wall 31b of the main nail magazine 31 and a track engaging portion 45 provided on the nail magazine end 36. The track 41 is provided at the lower part of each of the left and right side walls 31b. The track engaging portion 45 is provided at the left and right side portions of the front end of the nail magazine end 36 in a manner that can engage with the left and right pair of tracks 41. Each track engaging portion 45 is provided in a substantially rectangular box shape protruding inwardly from the left and right side portions of the nail magazine end 36. The track engaging portion 45 has an upper end 45a extending in a plane in the front-to-back direction, and a lower end 45b extending in a plane in the front-to-back direction in parallel with the upper end 45a.
[0041] like Figure 4 , Figure 7 , Fig.10 As shown, the track 41 is formed by connecting the first track 42, the second track 43 and the third track 44 arranged in sequence from the rear of the main nail magazine 31. The track 41 has an upper surface 41a for slidably engaging the upper end 45a of the track engaging portion 45, and a lower surface 41b for slidably engaging the lower end 45b of the track engaging portion 45. The first track 42 extends straightly forward from the rear of the side wall 31b. The first track 42 is located near the tool body 10 (see Figure 1 ) is connected to the second rail 43. The top end 42a is arranged on the upper surface 41a side of the rail 41. The top end 42b is arranged on the lower surface 41b side of the rail 41. The rail engaging portion 45 is located at the rear open position M1 when engaging with the first rail 42. At this time, the opening 31a of the main nail magazine 31 is open.
[0042] like Figure 4 , Figure 7 , Fig.10 As shown, the second rail 43 is inclined relative to the first rail 42 and communicates with the first rail 42. The second rail 43 faces the tool body 10 side in the front (see Figure 1) is inclined upward. The second rail 43 extends linearly along the extension direction. The second rail 43 is connected to the third rail 44 at the top (front end) 43a, 43b close to the tool body 10. The top end 43a is arranged on the upper surface 41a side of the rail 41. The top end 43b is arranged on the lower surface 41b side of the rail 41. The third rail 44 extends linearly along the front-to-back direction above the first rail and parallel to the first rail 42. In other words, the first rail 42 is arranged at a position lower than the third rail 44, wherein the third rail 44 is arranged at approximately the same position as the previous rail. The rail engaging portion 45 can be guided by the third rail 44 and moved to the closed position M2 at the front end. At this time, the opening 31a of the main nail magazine 31 is covered by the nail magazine end 36.
[0043] like Fig.10 As shown, the vertical distance D2 from the top 42a to the top 43a, or from the top 42b to the top 43b is equivalent to the vertical width of the second track 43. In addition, the distance D2 is the distance that the track engaging portion 45 and even the U-shaped nail guide 35 integrated with the nail magazine end 36 move upward in the opposite direction to the driving direction when the auxiliary nail magazine 33 slides toward the closed side in the front. The distance D2 is longer than the vertical depth D1 of the retreat surface 32a, for example, 1.5 mm to 2.0 mm (refer to Fig.11 The top end 42b of the lower side where the first rail 42 and the second rail 43 are connected is used to start the rail engaging portion 45 and even the U-shaped nail guide 35 integrated with the nail magazine end 36 when the auxiliary nail magazine 33 slides toward the closed side in the front direction (see Fig.11 ) is the starting point for guiding upward.
[0044] like Fig.11 As shown, the starting end 32b at the rear end of the retracting surface 32a is located farther back than the tip 42b of the tool body 10. Therefore, the retracting surface 32a is inclined to retract upward from the tip 35a of the staple guide 35 before the staple guide 35 moves upward.
[0045] like Figure 3 As shown, the driving tool 1 has an anti-air strike mechanism 55, which prevents the driver 15 from hitting the U-shaped nail 60 without hitting it. The anti-air strike mechanism 55 is activated when the U-shaped nails 60 remaining in the nail magazine 30 are less than the specified number, and limits the lifting mechanism 22 from lifting the driver 15. The anti-air strike mechanism 55 of the present invention is activated when the U-shaped nails 60 remaining in the nail magazine 30 are less than 7. A stopper 56 for limiting the upward movement of the contact arm 4 is provided in the anti-air strike mechanism 55. The stopper 56 is provided on the left part of the main nail magazine 31.
[0046] like Figure 3As shown, the stopper 56 extends in a generally straight line along the front-to-back direction. The stopper 56 can rotate left and right around the axis of the rotation shaft 56a extending in the up-down direction. The rotation shaft 56a is arranged at a position slightly behind the center of the front-to-back direction of the stopper 56. A snap-fitting portion 56c is arranged at the front end of the stopper 56, and the snap-fitting portion 56c can be engaged with the contact arm 4 in the disconnected position to limit the upward movement of the contact arm 4. The stopper 56 has an abutment portion 56b, which protrudes in a generally spherical shape to the right side behind the rotation shaft 56a. A compression spring 56d is arranged behind the rotation shaft 56a and to the left of the abutment portion 56b. The compression spring 56d applies force to rotate the stopper 56 in the clockwise direction when viewed from below.
[0047] like Figure 3 As shown, the abutment portion 56b is urged toward the leg 60b on the left side of the U-shaped staple 60 or the side 34b on the left side of the pusher 34 by the compression spring 56d. When the abutment portion 56b abuts against the leg 60b of the U-shaped staple 60 or the side 34b of the pusher 34, the engaging portion 56c is located on the right side that is not engaged with the contact arm 4. When the pusher 34 moves forward more than the abutment portion 56b, the abutment portion 56b enters the rear side of the pusher 34. As a result, the engaging portion 56c can move to the left by the loading force of the compression spring 56d and engage with the contact arm 4. By limiting the upward movement of the contact arm 4, the trigger 6 (refer to Figure 1 ) does not become effective, does not start motor 20. Like this, when the surplus of the U-shaped nail 60 in the main nail box becomes 7 below, can prevent that driver 15 is empty.
[0048] Next, refer to Figure 2 , Figure 3 , Figure 8 1 and 2 are used to illustrate a series of processes of the driving action of the driving tool 1. The figure shows the standby state of the driving device 15. The driving device 15 in the standby state remains stopped in a standby position slightly below the top dead center. The head 60a of the U-shaped staple 60 at the front end of the main nail magazine 31 abuts against the rear surface of the top end 15d of the driving device 15. Therefore, the head 60a of the U-shaped staple 60 at the front end is restricted from entering the driving passage 3. The leg 60b of the U-shaped staple 60 at the front end can enter into the driving passage 3. However, since the head 60a does not enter the driving passage 3, even if the driving device 15 moves downward from the standby position without hitting the head 60a, the leg 60b can retreat to the rear toward the main nail magazine 31.
[0049] In the standby state, the contact arm 4 pressed on the driven part moves upward and the trigger 6 is pulled, thereby starting the motor 20. When the motor 20 is started, the wheel portion 23 of the lifting mechanism 22 rotates. The engaging portion 24 engaged with the bottom of the rack teeth 15b at the bottom moves the rack teeth 15b at the bottom upward by the rotation of the wheel portion 23. Accordingly, the driver 15 moves upward from the standby position to the top dead center. When the driver 15 moves to the top dead center, the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60 at the front end is forced by the pusher 34 and enters the driving passage 3.
[0050] When the driver 15 reaches the state just before driving at the top dead center, the engaging portion 24 disengages from the bottom of the rack teeth 15b at the bottom. As a result, the driver 15 is forced downward by the air pressure of the pressure accumulator chamber 13 applied to the piston 14. The top end 15d of the driver 15 moves downward in the driving passage 3 and strikes the head 60a of a U-shaped nail 60 in the driving passage 3. The wheel portion 23 continues to rotate during the downward movement of the driver 15 and after reaching the bottom dead center. When the driver 15 is at the bottom dead center, if the wheel portion 23 rotates to a specified rotation angle, one of the engaging portions 24 engages with the bottom of the rack teeth 15b at the top. As a result, the return action of moving the driver 15 upward in the direction opposite to the driving direction begins. When one of the engaging portions 24 engages with the bottom of the rack teeth 15b at the bottom, the driver 15 returns to the standby position. For example, by appropriately controlling the time elapsed from the start of the motor 20, the motor 20 is stopped at the stage where the piston 14 reaches the standby position. Accordingly, the driver 15 is kept at the standby position. Thus, a series of driving actions are completed.
[0051] Next, refer to Figures 7 to 13 The action when the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is moved toward the closed side in the front is described. First, when the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is located at the open position M1, the track engaging portion 45 can engage with the first track 42 and slide in the front-to-back direction. A gap longer than the upper and lower lengths of the heads 60a of the U-shaped nails 60 is formed between the top 35a of the U-shaped nail guide 35 and the back surface 32 in the up-down direction. The U-shaped nails 60 are arranged along the back surface 32 in the main nail magazine 31. Therefore, when the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is located at the open position M1, a gap is provided between the top 35a of the U-shaped nail guide 35 and the heads 60a of the U-shaped nails 60 in the up-down direction. Therefore, the top 35a of the U-shaped nail guide 35 moving forward and backward and the heads 60a of the U-shaped nails 60 located at the rear end can be suppressed from interfering with each other.
[0052] When the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is further slid forward, the track engaging portion 45 engages with the second track 43 at a position forward of the top end 42b. The track engaging portion 45 is guided by the second track 43 and moves forward and upward in a direction opposite to the driving direction. Therefore, the top end 35a of the U-shaped nail guide 35 also moves upward and approaches the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60. When the top end 35a of the U-shaped nail guide 35 enters a position forward of the U-shaped nail 60 at the rear end, it can slide in the front-rear direction without interfering with the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60 even if it approaches the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60.
[0053] A retreat surface 32a that is inclined upward toward the front is provided at the front portion of the back surface 32 of the main nail magazine 31. In addition, the starting end 32b of the retreat surface 32a is provided at a position that is more rearward than the rear end, that is, the top end 42b of the second rail 43. Accordingly, the head 60a of the rearmost U-shaped staple 60 can be retreated upward before the top end 35a of the U-shaped staple guide 35 approaches. Therefore, a gap can be ensured between the top end 35a of the U-shaped staple guide 35 and the head 60a of the rearmost U-shaped staple 60, thereby suppressing mutual interference.
[0054] For example, sometimes the head 60a of the front U-shaped staple 60 is restricted by the top end 15d of the driver 15 from entering the driving passage 3 (see Figures 11 to 13 ). In this case, only the leg portion 60b enters the driving passage 3. The plurality of U-shaped staples 60 approaching the driving passage 3 are inclined in the front-rear direction along the retreat surface 32a of the back surface 32 so that the leg portion 60b is located in front of the head portion 60a. Even in this case, the head portion 60a of the rearmost U-shaped staple 60 can be retreated upward before the top end 35a of the U-shaped staple guide 35 approaches. Therefore, a gap can be ensured between the top end 35a of the U-shaped staple guide 35 and the head portion 60a of the rearmost U-shaped staple 60, thereby suppressing mutual interference.
[0055] like Fig.12 , Fig.13 As shown in FIG. 1 , sometimes multiple U-shaped staples 60 are loaded behind multiple U-shaped staples 60 that have already been loaded, and the arrangement directions of the multiple U-shaped staples 60 in the front and the multiple U-shaped staples 60 in the rear are not aligned. Even in this case, the top end 35a of the U-shaped staple guide 35 is located at the lower side where a gap can be ensured between it and the head 60a of the rearmost U-shaped staple 60 that is newly loaded. Therefore, mutual interference can be suppressed.
[0056] As mentioned above, the driving tool 1 is Figure 2 , Figure 7 , Figure 8 , Fig.10 , Fig.11The U-shaped U-shaped nail 60 is ejected as shown, and the U-shaped nail 60 has a head 60a connected to a pair of legs 60b. The driving tool 1 has a tool body 10, and the tool body 10 has a driver 15 for hitting the U-shaped nail 60. The driving tool 1 has a main nail magazine 31, and the main nail magazine 31 extends from the tool body 10 and accommodates a plurality of U-shaped nails 60. The driving tool 1 has a pusher 34, and the pusher 34 pushes the plurality of U-shaped nails 60 toward the tool body 10 in the main nail magazine 31. The driving tool 1 has a U-shaped nail guide 35, and the U-shaped nail guide 35 is inserted between a pair of legs 60b of the U-shaped nail 60 in the main nail magazine 31. The driving tool 1 has a secondary nail magazine 33, and the secondary nail magazine 33 is equipped with a pusher 34 and a U-shaped nail guide 35. The driving tool 1 has a guiding mechanism 40, which guides the auxiliary nail magazine 33 from the open position M1 to the closed position M2 close to the tool body 10 relative to the main nail magazine 31, and guides the auxiliary nail magazine 33 in the direction opposite to the driving direction while moving the auxiliary nail magazine 33 from the open position M1 to the closed position M2.
[0057] Therefore, when the secondary nail magazine 33 is far from the closed position M2, the U-shaped staple guide 35 is located at a relatively closer position to the driving direction side (lower side) than when the secondary nail magazine 33 is close to the closed position M2. Therefore, when the secondary nail magazine 33 is far from the closed position M2, a gap can be provided between the top 35a of the U-shaped staple guide 35 on the side opposite to the driving direction and the head 60a of the U-shaped staple 60 in the main nail magazine 31. Therefore, even if the U-shaped staple 60 is slightly tilted in the conveying direction, the head 60a of the U-shaped staple 60 and the U-shaped staple guide 35 can be prevented from interfering. Accordingly, the guide mechanism 40 can move the U-shaped staple guide 35 to the closed position M2 in a manner that the U-shaped staple guide 35 does not interfere with the U-shaped staple 60. When the secondary nail magazine 33 is close to the closed position M2, the top 35a of the U-shaped staple guide 35 on the side opposite to the driving direction and the head 60a of the U-shaped staple 60 in the main nail magazine 31 are close. Therefore, the staple guide 35 can suppress the staples 60 in the main staple magazine 31 from shaking by moving the auxiliary staple magazine 33 to the closed position M2.
[0058] like Figure 4 , Figure 7 , Fig.10As shown, the guide mechanism 40 has a track 41, which is provided on one of the two components of the main nail magazine 31 and the auxiliary nail magazine 33. The guide mechanism 40 has a track engaging portion 45, which is provided on the other of the two components and engages with the track 41 in a slidable manner. Therefore, the auxiliary nail magazine 33 can be reliably guided to move relative to the main nail magazine 31 by the track 41 and the track engaging portion 45. Therefore, when the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is located in the open position M1, the U-shaped nail guide 35 can be reliably guided to a position away from the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60 on the driving direction side. When the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is located in the closed position M2, the U-shaped nail guide 35 can be reliably guided to approach the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60 on the side opposite to the driving direction. Thus, when the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is closed, the interference between the U-shaped nail guide 35 and the head 60 a of the U-shaped nail 60 can be reliably suppressed, and the U-shaped nail 60 in the main nail magazine 31 can be suppressed from shaking.
[0059] like Figure 4 , Figure 7 , Fig.10 As shown, the track 41 includes a first track 42 and a second track 43, wherein the first track 42 is oriented toward the tool body 10 (refer to Figure 1 ) extends in a straight line; the second track 43 is bent from the top end 42b of the first track 42 in the direction opposite to the driving direction. Therefore, when the track engaging portion 45 engages with the first track 42 and the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is away from the closed position M2, the U-shaped nail guide 35 is kept so as not to move to the side opposite to the driving direction (upward). When the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is brought close to the closed position M2 and the track engaging portion 45 engages with the second track 43, the U-shaped nail guide 35 can be moved to the side opposite to the driving direction. Therefore, until the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is brought close to the closed position M2, the U-shaped nail guide 35 and the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60 can be suppressed from interfering. Accordingly, for example, even when the number of connections of the plurality of U-shaped nails 60 is small and the rearmost U-shaped nail 60 farthest from the tool body 10 is relatively close to the tool body 10, the U-shaped nail guide 35 and the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60 can be suppressed from interfering.
[0060] like Figure 4 , Fig.10 As shown, the rail 41 includes a third rail 44 extending from the top end 43b of the second rail 43 toward the tool body 10 (see Figure 1 ) is bent and extends parallel to the first rail 42. Therefore, when the rail engaging portion 45 is engaged with the third rail 44, the U-shaped staple guide 35 can be moved parallel to the conveying direction of the U-shaped staple 60. The U-shaped staple guide 35 is sufficiently close to the head 60a of the U-shaped staple 60 at the stage when the rail engaging portion 45 is engaged with the second rail 43. Therefore, when the auxiliary staple magazine 33 is moved to the closed position M2 (refer to Figure 7 ) when moving, the U-shaped staple 60 can be smoothly guided toward the tool body 10 while suppressing the shaking of the U-shaped staple 60.
[0061] like Figure 8 , Fig.11 As shown, the main nail magazine 31 has a back side 32 facing the heads 60a of the plurality of U-shaped staples 60. The back side 32 has a retraction surface 32a, which is provided on the tool body 10 side and forms a gap with the auxiliary nail magazine 33 in the driving direction. Therefore, by providing the retraction surface 32a on the tool body 10 side of the back side 32, even when the number of U-shaped staples 60 connected is small or when the U-shaped staples 60 are tilted in the main nail magazine 31, a gap can be ensured between the U-shaped staple guide 35 moved to the vicinity of the closed position M2 and the heads 60a of the U-shaped staples 60. Accordingly, the auxiliary nail magazine 33 can be smoothly moved to the closed position M2.
[0062] like Figure 8 , Fig.11 As shown, the retreat surface 32a is an inclined surface that is inclined in the direction opposite to the driving direction as it approaches the tool body 10. Therefore, the U-shaped nail guide 35 moves in the direction opposite to the driving direction (upward) when moving to the closed position M2. By making the inclination direction of the retreat surface 32a follow the moving direction of the U-shaped nail guide 35, a gap can always be ensured between the U-shaped nail guide 35 and the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60. Accordingly, the auxiliary nail magazine 33 can be reliably moved to the closed position M2.
[0063] like Figure 8 , Fig.11 As shown, the main nail magazine 31 has a track 41 (refer to Fig.10 The retracting surface 32a is formed from the first rail 42 (see Fig.10 ) extends toward the tool body 10 from a starting end 32b at a position where the top end 42b on the tool body 10 side is further away from the tool body 10. Therefore, when the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is moved to the closed position M2, the U-shaped nail guide 35 approaches the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60 in the direction opposite to the driving direction. The retreat surface 32a forms a gap that allows the U-shaped nail 60 to retreat in the direction opposite to the driving direction before the U-shaped nail guide 35 approaches the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60. Therefore, until the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is moved to the closed position M2, interference between the U-shaped nail guide 35 and the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60 can be suppressed.
[0064] like Figure 8 , Fig.11 As shown, the depth D1 of the retracting surface 32a in the driving direction is greater than the movement amount ( Figure 7 , Fig.10Therefore, when the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is moved to the closed position M2, the gap between the U-shaped nail guide 35 and the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60 gradually narrows. Therefore, after the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is moved to the closed position M2, the U-shaped nails 60 in the main nail magazine 31 can be suppressed from shaking.
[0065] like Figure 4 , Figure 8 , Fig.11 As shown in FIG. 1 , the pusher 34 is provided in the auxiliary nail magazine 33 at a position farther from the tool body 10 side than the top end 35a of the U-shaped nail guide 35. Therefore, when the auxiliary nail magazine 33 is moved to the closed position M2, the U-shaped nail guide 35 enters between the pair of leg portions 60b before the pusher 34 contacts the U-shaped nail 60. Therefore, for example, even when the U-shaped nail 60 is pressed by the pusher 34 and tilted, the top end 35a of the U-shaped nail guide 35 enters a position to avoid interference with the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60. Accordingly, it is possible to suppress interference between the U-shaped nail guide 35 and the head 60a of the U-shaped nail 60.
[0066] like Fig.11 As shown, the U-shaped staples 60 in the main staple magazine 31 are tilted toward the tool body 10 side from the head 60a toward the top of the leg 60b when the driver 15 is in the standby position. Therefore, the head 60a of the U-shaped staple 60 is tilted in the direction opposite to the driving direction (upward) as it approaches the tool body 10. In this way, even for the U-shaped staples 60 tilted in the main staple magazine 31, a gap can be ensured between the U-shaped staple guide 35 and the head 60a of the U-shaped staple 60 to suppress mutual interference.
[0067] The driving tool 1 of the present embodiment described above can be modified as appropriate. A so-called gas spring type driving tool 1 is exemplified. Alternatively, for example, a compressed gas type driving tool, a mechanical spring type driving tool, a flywheel type driving tool, etc., in which the pressure of the supplied compressed gas is used as the thrust of the driving device 15, can also be applied.
[0068] As the guide mechanism 40, a track 41 and a track engaging portion 45 that engage with each other are exemplified. As an alternative, for example, the movement of the auxiliary nail magazine 33 may be guided by a link mechanism or the like. For example, the movement of the auxiliary nail magazine 33 may be guided only by the loading force of the force-applying member. The structure in which the track 41 is provided on the main nail magazine 31 side and the track engaging portion 45 is provided on the nail magazine end 36 side is exemplified. As an alternative, the track engaging portion 45 may be provided on the main nail magazine 31 side and the track 41 may be provided on the nail magazine end 36 side.
[0069] The U-shaped nail guide 35 is made of iron. As an alternative, for example, the U-shaped nail guide 35 may be made of synthetic resin. The position of the rear end of the start of the second track 43, i.e., the top end 42b, and the position of the rear end of the retreat surface 32a, i.e., the start end 32b, may be appropriately changed according to the number of nails remaining in the main nail magazine 31 when the anti-air strike mechanism 55 is in operation.
