[0005] Patent Document 1: Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2020-22414 Summary of the invention
[0006] Problems to be solved by the invention
[0007] Here, when the toilet sand is wet with urine or the feces are wet, the room may be filled with a foul odor. In order to dry the feces and urine, it is possible to improve the ventilation inside the toilet, but if a hole is simply opened in the toilet, liquids such as urine and powders may splash outside the toilet, which may make the room smelly.
[0008] One aspect of the present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned actual situation, and relates to a system toilet for pets that can suppress the filling of a room with a bad odor due to excrement.
[0009] Means for solving problems
[0010] A pet system toilet according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an excretion container, which contains toilet litter and has a liquid-permeable bottom portion; a tray, which is arranged below the excretion container and contains an absorbent sheet that absorbs liquid that passes through the bottom portion; a lower container, which holds the tray; and an upper container, which is arranged above the excretion container and has a front wall portion, a pair of side walls and a rear wall portion, the front wall portion forming an entrance and exit portion for pets to enter and exit, the pair of side walls being arranged to face each other on both sides of the entrance and exit portion in a width direction and extending in a front-to-rear direction, the rear wall portion facing the entrance and exit portion in the front-to-rear direction, and an opening area including one or more openings being formed in an area of the upper container above the bottom portion of the excretion container.
[0011] In a pet system toilet of one form of the present invention, an opening area including one or more openings is formed in an area above the bottom surface of the excretion container in the upper container. According to such a structure, the air permeability above the bottom surface that holds feces and urine becomes good. As a result, it is easy to dry the feces and urine held by the bottom surface, and compared with a state where the toilet litter is wet with urine or a state where the feces is wet, it is possible to suppress the generation of bad odor inside the toilet. In addition, since the opening is formed in an area above the bottom surface of the upper container, liquids such as urine that flow through the bottom surface to the bottom, fragments of cats or cat litter with feces attached, and powders (powders, etc.) are difficult to splash from the opening to the outside of the toilet. As a result, it is possible to suppress the outside of the toilet from becoming smelly. As described above, according to a pet system toilet of one form of the present invention, it is possible to suppress the room from being filled with bad odors due to excrement.
[0012] Alternatively, a slit-shaped opening may be formed in the opening region. In such a slit-shaped opening, although air can pass through, liquids, powders, etc. are difficult to pass through, and therefore, liquids such as urine, powders, etc. can be more appropriately suppressed from splashing from the opening to the outside of the toilet.
[0013] Alternatively, the length of the opening in the width direction may be longer than the length in the up-down direction. By making the length of the opening in the width direction long enough, the air permeability can be improved in a larger range in the width direction on the bottom surface, and the air can be efficiently moved. Thus, the generation of bad odor inside the toilet can be further suppressed. In addition, it can be considered that due to the scratching of the litter by the pet, the above-mentioned liquid, powder, etc. will splash in the height direction (up-down direction). In this regard, by making the length in the up-down direction shorter than the length in the width direction, it is possible to suppress the liquid, powder, etc. from being discharged from the opening to the outside of the toilet due to the scratching of the litter by the above-mentioned pet.
[0014] Alternatively, the length of the opening in the vertical direction may be longer than the length in the width direction. By making the length of the opening in the vertical direction long enough, the air permeability can be improved in a larger range in the vertical direction, and the air can be efficiently moved. For example, urine odor is lighter than air and is easily retained in the upper part of the space, while fecal odor is heavier than air and is easily retained in the lower part of the space. In this regard, by improving the air permeability in a larger range in the vertical direction, various malodors such as those mentioned above can be efficiently excreted. As a result, the generation of malodors inside the toilet can be further suppressed.
[0015] Alternatively, a plurality of openings may be formed at predetermined intervals in the vertical direction in the opening region. Thus, the air permeability can be improved over a larger range in the vertical direction on the bottom surface, and the air can be efficiently moved. Thus, the generation of odor inside the toilet can be further suppressed.
[0016] Alternatively, in the wall portion of the upper container where the opening area is formed, more than 5% of the entire area of the wall portion is the opening area. Thus, the opening area can be sufficiently ensured and the air permeability can be improved, and the opening area can be properly prevented from becoming too large and causing liquid, powder, etc. to splash outside the toilet.
[0017] Alternatively, the length of the opening area in the vertical direction may be longer than the length of the excretion container in the vertical direction. Thus, by sufficiently ensuring the length of the opening area in the vertical direction, the air permeability can be improved in a larger range in the vertical direction on the bottom surface, and the air can be efficiently moved. Thus, the generation of bad odor inside the toilet can be further suppressed.
[0018] Alternatively, the length of the opening formed in the opening area in the vertical direction may be shorter than the length of the excretion container in the vertical direction. In this way, by sufficiently obtaining the depth of the excretion container and setting the length of the opening in the vertical direction not to be too long, it is possible to appropriately suppress the splashing of liquid, powder, etc. from the opening to the outside of the toilet.
[0019] Alternatively, the length of the opening in the width direction may be longer than the length of the bottom in the width direction. Thus, the air permeability can be improved over a larger range of the entire width direction of the bottom, and the air can be efficiently moved. Thus, the generation of bad odor inside the toilet can be further suppressed.
[0020] Alternatively, the length of the opening in the width direction may be shorter than the length of the bottom surface in the width direction. In such a structure, the probability of liquid, powder, etc. reaching the opening, that is, the probability of liquid, powder, etc. leaking from the opening can be reduced.
[0021] Alternatively, the bottom portion has a plurality of bottom openings, and the bottom openings are opening portions for liquid to pass through, and the sum of the opening areas of the plurality of openings is larger than the sum of the opening areas of the plurality of bottom openings. In such a structure, since the ventilation resistance of the openings is lower than that of the bottom openings, the flow rate of air flowing toward the openings is larger than the flow rate of air flowing from the main body to the bottom portion. Thus, it is easy to discharge the air inside the toilet to the outside, which can effectively dry feces and urine, and can further suppress the generation of bad odor inside the toilet. In addition, when changing urine and feces or changing sand, sand powder will float, but in this structure, since the sand powder is not accumulated on the upper part of the sand, but is discharged from the main body to the outside, the air inside the main body can be efficiently cleaned.
[0022] Alternatively, the bottom surface portion has a plurality of bottom surface openings, the bottom surface openings being opening portions for liquid to pass through, and the sum of the opening areas of the plurality of opening portions is smaller than the sum of the opening areas of the plurality of bottom surface openings. In such a structure, the flow rate of air flowing from the outside of the toilet toward the lower part of the toilet is larger than the flow rate of air discharged to the outside of the toilet. Thus, since the air inside the toilet moves to the lower part of the toilet through the bottom surface openings, it is possible to achieve a structure in which the stench inside the toilet is difficult to spread to the outside of the toilet.
[0023] Alternatively, the opening area is formed in the rear wall portion. Thus, the opening area is formed near the inner area of the toilet which is far from the entrance and exit portion and has poor ventilation, thereby effectively improving the ventilation of the toilet.
[0024] It is also possible that the position of the center line of the opening area in the width direction and the position of the center line of the bottom surface in the width direction are inconsistent with each other. Pets sometimes like to defecate without pressure when the entrance and exit are not in front of them. Such pets will defecate at a position offset from the center line of the toilet in the width direction. In this regard, by offsetting the position of the center line of the opening area from the position of the center line of the toilet (bottom surface), the opening area can be configured to match the defecation position of the pet that defecates at a position offset from the center line, and the opening area can be configured at a position that easily dries feces and urine. In this way, the generation of bad odors inside the toilet can be further suppressed.
[0025] Alternatively, the bottom surface portion has a plurality of bottom surface openings, and the bottom surface openings are rectangular opening portions for liquid to pass through, and the length of the opening portion in the vertical direction is longer than the length of the short side of the bottom surface opening. In such a structure, since the ventilation resistance of the opening portion is lower than that of the bottom surface opening, the flow rate of air flowing to the opening portion is larger than the flow rate of air flowing from the main body to the bottom surface portion. As a result, it is easy to discharge the air inside the toilet to the outside, and the feces and urine can be effectively dried, which can further suppress the generation of bad odor inside the toilet. In addition, when changing urine and feces or changing sand, sand powder will float, but in this structure, since the sand powder is not accumulated on the upper part of the sand, but the sand powder is discharged from the main body to the outside, the air inside the main body can be efficiently cleaned.
[0026] Alternatively, the bottom surface portion has a plurality of bottom surface openings, wherein the bottom surface openings are rectangular openings for liquid to pass through, and the length of the openings in the vertical direction is shorter than the length of the long side of the bottom surface openings. In such a structure, the flow rate of air flowing from the outside of the toilet toward the lower part of the toilet is larger than the flow rate of air discharged to the outside of the toilet. Thus, since the air inside the toilet moves to the lower part of the toilet through the bottom surface openings, it can be a structure in which the odor inside the toilet is difficult to spread to the outside of the toilet.
[0027] Alternatively, the upper container may include an outer extension portion, which is provided on the wall portion where the opening area is formed and extends outward from the wall portion. By providing the outer extension portion, urine or the like dripping to the outside along the slit-shaped opening portion can be blocked, and urine or the like can be appropriately prevented from splashing outside the toilet.
[0028] Alternatively, the outer extension portion may be arranged below the lower end of the opening region. According to such a structure, the outer extension portion can be used to properly block urine or the like dripping from the opening portion to the bottom, and urine or the like can be more properly prevented from splashing outside the toilet.
[0029] Alternatively, the outer extension portion may be arranged at a position above the upper end of the bottom face portion. Thus, urine blocked by the outer extension portion can flow to the bottom face portion, and urine can be properly prevented from becoming urinary stones and emitting a foul odor.
[0030] Alternatively, the upper container further comprises a locking portion, which extends downward from the lower end of the outer extension portion and is locked with the bottom portion, and the outer extension portion extends outwardly shorter than the length of the locking portion in the vertical direction. By preventing the outer extension portion from extending too long, the strength of the outer extension portion can be ensured, and urine can be prevented from accumulating excessively in the outer extension portion and emitting a foul odor.
[0031] The outer extension part may be inclined upward toward the outer end portion thereof. By inclining upward toward the outside, it is possible to form a structure that makes it difficult for urine or the like to overflow from the outer extension part to the outside.
[0032] Alternatively, one or more guide grooves may be formed on the outer extension portion along the extension direction. Thus, urine or the like can be appropriately guided into the toilet, and splashing of urine or the like to the outside of the toilet can be appropriately suppressed.
[0033] Alternatively, the upper container may further include an inner extension portion, which is disposed on the wall portion where the opening area is formed and extends from the wall portion to the inner side. Thus, urine or the like that reaches the opening area can flow toward the bottom surface portion inside the toilet, and splashing of urine or the like outside the toilet can be appropriately suppressed.
[0034] Alternatively, the pet system toilet may further include an external component, which is disposed on the outside of the opening area in a manner facing the opening area, and a plurality of openings, i.e., cover openings, are formed at predetermined intervals in the vertical direction on the surface of the external component facing the opening area. In this way, by disposing the external component on the outside of the opening area, it is possible to more effectively suppress urine and the like from splashing to the outside. In addition, since a plurality of cover openings are formed at predetermined intervals in the vertical direction on the external component, it is possible to avoid deterioration of ventilation due to the provision of the external component, and to suppress the generation of foul odor inside the toilet.
[0035] Alternatively, the externally added component includes: a cover wall surface, which is provided below the cover opening in a manner continuous with the cover opening in the up-down direction; and a cover non-ventilated portion, which extends upward from the upper end of the cover wall surface in a manner covering a portion of the cover opening, and the cover non-ventilated portion includes: a first cover portion, which extends upward while being inclined outward; and a second cover portion, which is continuous with the upper end of the first cover portion and extends upward at a smaller inclination angle to the outside than the first cover portion. By extending the cover non-ventilated portion upward in a manner covering a portion of the cover opening, it is easy to generate air flow from the lower part of the cover opening to the upper part, and the ventilation between the inside and the outside of the toilet through the cover opening can be improved. In addition, by extending the cover non-ventilated portion upward while being inclined outward, the area of the cover opening formed between the cover non-ventilated portion and the cover wall surface can be increased compared to a case where the cover non-ventilated portion is not inclined outward but extends on the same surface as the cover wall surface. Thus, the ventilation can be further improved. Furthermore, by reducing the inclination angle (the inclination angle toward the outside) of the second cover portion and extending the second cover portion upward at an angle close to vertical, it is possible to effectively suppress urine and the like from splashing outward.
[0036] Alternatively, the upper container may include: an upper container wall surface, which is provided below the opening portion in a manner continuous with the opening portion in the vertical direction; and an upper container non-ventilated portion, which extends upward from the upper end of the upper container wall surface in a manner covering a portion of the opening portion, and the upper container non-ventilated portion includes: a first portion, which extends upward while being inclined outward; and a second portion, which is continuous with the upper end of the first portion and extends upward at a smaller inclination angle to the outside than the first portion. By extending the upper container non-ventilated portion upward in a manner covering a portion of the opening portion, it is easy to generate air flow from the lower part of the opening portion to the upper part, and the ventilation between the inside and the outside of the toilet through the opening portion can be improved. In addition, by extending the upper container non-ventilated portion upward while being inclined outward, the area of the opening formed between the upper container non-ventilated portion and the upper container wall surface can be increased compared with the case where the upper container non-ventilated portion is not inclined outward but extends on the same surface as the upper container wall surface. Thus, the ventilation can be further improved. Furthermore, by reducing the inclination angle of the second portion (the inclination angle toward the outside) and extending the second portion upward at an angle close to vertical, it is possible to effectively suppress urine or the like from splashing outward.
[0037] Alternatively, the upper container may include: an upper container wall surface, which is disposed below the opening so as to be continuous with the opening in the up-down direction; and an upper container non-ventilated portion, which extends upward from the upper end of the upper container wall surface so as to cover a portion of the opening. By extending the upper container non-ventilated portion upward so as to cover a portion of the opening, it is easy to generate air flow from the lower portion of the opening toward the upper portion, and the ventilation between the inside and the outside of the toilet through the opening can be improved.
[0038] Alternatively, the upper container non-ventilated portion may include a first portion that is inclined outward and extends upward. By making the upper container non-ventilated portion inclined outward and extending upward, the area of the opening formed between the upper container non-ventilated portion and the upper container wall surface can be increased compared to a case where the upper container non-ventilated portion is not inclined outward but extends on the same surface as the upper container wall surface. Thus, the air permeability can be further improved.
[0039] Alternatively, the upper container non-ventilated portion further includes a second portion, which is continuous with the upper end of the first portion and extends upward at a smaller inclination angle toward the outside than the first portion. By reducing the inclination angle (inclination angle toward the outside) of the second portion and extending upward at an angle close to vertical, urine or the like can be effectively prevented from splashing outward.
[0040] Alternatively, the wall portion with the opening area may be inclined inward while extending upward. According to such a structure, when the pet urinates on the wall portion with the opening area, the urine easily flows to the lower part of the toilet through the angled wall portion. Thus, urine can be prevented from remaining in the opening area, and the generation of bad odor inside the toilet can be prevented.
[0041] Alternatively, for two openings adjacent to each other in the vertical direction, the upper opening is located closer to the inside than the lower opening. According to such a structure, when a pet urinates on the wall with the opening area, urine easily flows to the lower part of the toilet through the angled wall. Thus, urine can be prevented from remaining in the opening area, and the generation of bad odor inside the toilet can be prevented.

[0055] Hereinafter, a pet toilet system according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In each figure, the same or equivalent parts are marked with the same reference numerals, and repeated descriptions are omitted. In addition, the accompanying drawings are schematic, and the ratios of various dimensions may differ from reality.
[0056] Figure 1 1 is a perspective view of a pet system toilet 1 according to the present embodiment. The pet system toilet 1 according to the present embodiment is a system toilet for excretion of a cat as a pet, for example. The pet system toilet 1 according to the present embodiment may also be a system toilet for excretion of pets other than cats.
[0057] like Figure 1 As shown, the pet toilet 1 includes an excrement container 2, a lower container 3, an upper container 4, and a tray 5. The pet toilet 1 employs a so-called half-cover type upper container 4 whose upper portion is open.
[0058] In the following description, the up-down direction of the pet toilet system 1 is sometimes referred to as the "up-down direction", the depth direction as the long side direction is referred to as the "front-back direction", and the direction perpendicular to the up-down direction and the front-back direction is referred to as the "width direction". In the "up-down direction", the direction of the upper container 4 side viewed from the lower container 3 is referred to as "up", and the direction of the lower container 3 side viewed from the upper container 4 is referred to as "down". In addition, in the "front-back direction", the direction of the opening 40 side viewed from the rear wall 42 of the upper container 4 is referred to as "front", and the direction of the rear wall 42 side viewed from the opening 40 is referred to as "rear".
[0059] The excretion container 2 is a container for storing toilet litter (not shown). The excretion container 2 has a wall surface 22 and a liquid-permeable bottom surface 21. Toilet litter is a granular material that can absorb or pass through liquids such as urine. The toilet litter can use well-known toilet litter, such as bentonite that can cover feces and absorb liquids, wood or paper with a waterproof coating, or zeolite, silica gel, minerals, etc. with deodorizing ability that are formed into a roughly spherical shape with a diameter of several mm to several cm. In addition, when solidified sand is used as toilet litter, the liquid-permeable bottom surface 21 may be clogged. Therefore, in the present pet system toilet 1, it is preferred not to use solidified sand. The toilet litter is arranged on the bottom surface 21.
[0060] The bottom portion 21 is a plate-like member having lattice bars formed in a bamboo curtain shape and having a plurality of bottom openings 21a with regularity between the lattice bars. The bottom opening 21a is a rectangular opening portion for liquid to pass through. The bottom portion 21 is formed to be roughly rectangular in shape when viewed from above. The wall surface 22 is a portion formed to stand upward from the periphery of the bottom portion 21. That is, the wall surface 22 is formed to stand upward from both ends in the front and rear directions and both ends in the width direction of the bottom portion 21. In addition, as long as the bottom portion 21 can accommodate toilet litter, the shape when viewed from above may also be a shape other than a rectangle. The excrement excreted by the pet passes through the toilet litter and through the gaps in the bottom portion 21 formed by the bamboo curtain-like lattice bars and falls into the lower container 3 (more specifically, the tray 5 held by the lower container 3) arranged below the excretion container 2. The excretion container 2 is formed of a resin such as plastic, for example, but is not limited to this.
[0061] The tray 5 is arranged below the excretion container 2 and contains an absorbent sheet (not shown) that absorbs the liquid (excrement) that passes through the bottom surface 21. A tray handle 51 is formed on the front side of the tray 5, and the tray handle 51 can be held by the user and pulled out to the front side. Alternatively, the tray handle 51 is formed not only on the front side of the tray 5 but also on the rear side. In this case, the tray 5 has a front-to-back symmetrical shape. In this way, by making the tray 5 have a front-to-back symmetrical shape and forming the tray handle 51 on both the front side and the rear side, for example, even if the front and back of the tray 5 are switched, the tray 5 can be pulled out through the tray handle 51. After the area in the absorbent sheet that absorbs liquid is determined to a certain extent, the front and back of the tray 5 are switched, thereby changing the direction of the absorbent sheet and absorbing liquid in an area different from the area that has already absorbed liquid. In this way, by switching the front and back of the tray 5, one absorbent sheet can be effectively utilized to the maximum extent. The tray 5 is formed to be slightly smaller than the lower container 3 so as to be accommodated and swung inside the lower container 3. In the present embodiment, the tray 5 is pulled out in the horizontal direction, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the tray 5 may be pulled out in an obliquely upward direction, for example.
[0062] The lower container 3 is a container for holding the tray 5. The lower container 3 accommodates the tray 5 in the lower container 3 so that it can be pulled out swingably. The lower container 3 is configured to include a bottom surface 31 and wall surfaces 32, 33, 34, and 35. The bottom surface 31 is a portion facing the installation surface where the pet system toilet 1 is installed. The bottom surface 31 is formed in a rectangular shape when viewed from above. The central portion of the bottom surface 31 may also be formed as an opening.
[0063] The wall surface 32 is formed to stand upward from the front end of the bottom surface 31. An opening for pulling out the tray 5 is formed in the wall surface 32. The wall surface 33 is formed to stand upward from the rear end of the bottom surface 31. The wall surfaces 34 and 35 are formed to stand upward from both ends in the width direction of the bottom surface 31. The wall surfaces 32, 33, 34, and 35 are formed continuously, and the entire circumference of the bottom surface 31 is surrounded by the wall surfaces 32, 33, 34, and 35. The wall surface 22 of the excretion container 2 is fitted into the upper end of the wall surfaces 32, 33, 34, and 35. In addition, the upper container 4 is installed in a manner that covers the upper end of the wall surfaces 32, 33, 34, and 35. A connecting portion 300 connected to the hook portion 47 of the upper container 4 is provided at the center portion and the upper end of the wall surfaces 34 and 35 in the front-back direction.
[0064] The upper container 4 is a container that is arranged above the excretion container 2 and is formed with an opening 40 for the pet to enter and exit. As described above, the upper container 4 is a so-called half-cover type upper container that is open on the top. In addition, instead of using the so-called half-cover type upper container, a so-called full-cover type upper container that covers the upper ends of the walls 32, 33, 34, and 35 (the upper parts of the walls 32, 33, 34, and 35 are not open) may be used. In this case, the upper container may also have, for example, a fixed cover that covers the upper ends of the walls 32, 33, 34, and 35 and a movable cover that can rotate (or slide) relative to the fixed cover. Below, refer also to Figure 2~Figure 4 , the detailed structure of the half-cover type upper container 4 is described. Figure 2 (a) Yes Figure 1 (b) is a top view of the upper container 4, (b) is a side view thereof, and (c) is a rear view thereof. Figure 3 (a) is a top view of the upper container 4 to which the external member 80 is attached, (b) is a side view thereof, and (c) is a rear view thereof. Figure 4 (a) is a cross-sectional view of the upper container 4 with the external member 80 installed, (b) is a partial enlarged view of the cross-sectional view, and (c) is a partial enlarged view of the cross-sectional view.
[0065] like Figure 1 and Figure 2 As shown in (a), the upper container 4 is configured to include a front wall portion 41, a rear wall portion 42, and a pair of side walls 43, 44. In this embodiment, the front wall portion 41, the rear wall portion 42, and the pair of side walls 43, 44 are formed integrally. In addition, the upper container 4 does not have a bottom portion, but is penetrated in the vertical direction.
[0066] The front wall 41 is provided in front of and below the opening 40 (entry and exit portion) for pets to enter and exit. The front wall 41 is attached to the upper end of the wall surface 32 of the lower container 3 and extends in the vertical direction and in the width direction along the wall surface 32 .
[0067] The pair of side walls 43, 44 are disposed so as to face each other on both sides of the width direction of the opening 40 and extend in the front-to-back direction. The front ends of the side walls 43, 44 are continuous with both ends of the front wall 41 in the width direction. The side walls 43, 44 are formed by curved surfaces extending downward from the upper ends to the outer sides in the width direction. The side walls 43, 44 are mounted on the upper ends of the wall surfaces 34, 35 of the lower container 3. Figure 1 As shown in the figure, a hook portion 47 extending downward is provided at the substantially central portion in the front-rear direction of the lower end portion of the side wall portions 43 and 44. That is, the upper container 4 further includes a hook portion 47, which is provided at the lower end portion of the side wall portions 43 and 44 and is connected to the connecting portion 300 of the lower container 3. By connecting the hook portion 47 to the connecting portion 300, the upper container 4 is mounted and fixed to the lower container 3.
[0068] like Figure 1 As shown, the rear wall portion 42 is a portion facing the opening portion 40 in the front-to-back direction and is a portion extending in the width direction from the rear end portion of the upper container 4. Both ends of the rear wall portion 42 in the width direction are continuous with the rear ends of the side wall portions 43 and 44. The rear wall portion 42 is formed by a curved surface extending downward from the upper end portion and toward the rear. The rear wall portion 42 is mounted on the upper end portion of the wall surface 33 of the lower container 3.
[0069] like Figure 1 As shown, an opening area 421 including a plurality of openings 421x is formed in the upper container 4 above the bottom surface 21 of the excretion container 2. The wall portion formed with the opening area 421, that is, the rear wall portion 42, may also be inclined inwardly while extending upward. In this embodiment, the opening area 421 is formed in the rear wall portion 42. Figure 2 (c) The opening region 421 formed in the rear wall portion 42 will be described.
[0070] like Figure 2 As shown in (c), a plurality of slit-shaped openings 421x extending in the width direction of the rear wall 42 are formed in the opening area 421. The length of the opening 421x in the width direction (lateral width) is longer than the length (height) in the vertical direction. A plurality of openings 421x are formed in the opening area 421 at predetermined intervals in the vertical direction. That is, in the opening area 421, the openings 421x and the upper container wall surface 421y without openings are alternately and repeatedly formed in the vertical direction. For two openings 421x adjacent to each other in the vertical direction, the upper opening 421x is located at a position closer to the inner side of the toilet than the lower opening 421x. It is also possible that, in the rear wall 42, about 20 to 60% of the entire area of the rear wall 432 is the opening area 421 (including the area of the opening 421x), for example, about 40 to 45% is the opening area 421 (including the area of the opening 421x). Alternatively, the length of the opening region 421 in the vertical direction may be longer than the length of the excretion container 2 in the vertical direction. Alternatively, in the rear wall portion 42, about 3 to 20% of the entire area of the rear wall portion 432 may be the area of the plurality of openings 421x, for example, about 7 to 15% (for example, 5% or more) may be the area of the plurality of openings 421x.
[0071] The length of the opening 421x in the vertical direction is shorter than the length of the excretion container 2 in the vertical direction. In addition, the length of the opening 421x in the width direction may be shorter than the bottom surface 21 of the excretion container 2 (see Figure 1 Alternatively, the length of the opening 421x in the width direction may be longer than the bottom surface 21 (see Figure 1) is shorter in the width direction. Alternatively, the length of the opening portion 421x in the vertical direction may be longer than the length of the short side of the bottom opening 21a of the bottom portion 21. Alternatively, the length of the opening portion 421x in the vertical direction may be shorter than the length of the long side of the bottom opening 21a. Alternatively, the sum of the opening areas of the plurality of opening portions 421x may be larger than the sum of the opening areas of the plurality of bottom openings 21a. Alternatively, the sum of the opening areas of the plurality of opening portions 421x may be smaller than the sum of the opening areas of the plurality of bottom openings 21a.
[0072] like Figure 2 As shown in (c), mounting recesses 421a, 421a, 421b, 421b for mounting the externally added member 80 described later are formed at approximately four corners of the opening region 421. The mounting recesses 421a, 421a are formed at the upper end and both ends in the width direction of the opening region 421. The mounting recesses 421b, 421b are formed at the lower end and both ends in the width direction of the opening region 421.
[0073] like Figure 2 (a) and Figure 2 As shown in (b), the upper container 4 also has an outer extension portion 422, which is provided on the wall portion having the opening area 421, that is, the rear wall portion 42, and extends outward from the rear wall portion 42. The outer extension portion 422 is a structure for blocking urine and the like that drips to the outside of the toilet along the opening portion 421x and returning it to the inside of the toilet. The outer extension portion 422 is provided at a position lower than the lower end of the opening area 421. In addition, the outer extension portion 422 may also be provided at a position lower than the bottom surface portion 21 (see Figure 1 ) is located above the upper end of the .
[0074] The outer extension part 422 is inclined upward toward its outer end. As a result, the urine or the like received by the outer extension part 422 can easily flow toward the inside of the toilet (easy to return). The upper container 4 has a snap-fit part 425 extending downward from the lower end of the outer extension part 422 (see Figure 2 (b) For example, the length of the outer extending portion 422 extending outward is shorter than the length of the engaging portion 425 in the vertical direction.
[0075] like Figure 3 As shown in (a) to (c), in this embodiment, an external component 80 is installed on the upper container 4. The external component 80 is arranged outside the opening area 421 in a manner facing the opening area 421. The external component 80 is inserted into the installation recesses 421a, 421a, 421b, 421b at the four corners of the opening area 421 (see Figure 2(c)), so as to be mounted outside the opening region 421. A plurality of cover openings 802 are formed at predetermined intervals in the vertical direction on the surface of the external member 80 facing the opening region 421. Figure 4 , the positional relationship between the opening area 421 and the externally added member 80 will be described.
[0076] Figure 4 (a) is a cross-sectional view of the upper container 4 to which the external member 80 is attached. Figure 4 (b) Yes Figure 4 (a) is a partial enlarged view (a partial enlarged view of the opening area 421 and the external component 80). Figure 4 As shown in (b), in the opening region 421, openings 421x and upper container walls 421y without openings are alternately and repeatedly formed in the up-down direction. Figure 4 As shown in (b), in the externally added member 80, cover openings 802 and cover walls 801 without openings are alternately formed in the vertical direction. The cover wall 801 is a wall provided below the cover opening 802 so as to be continuous with the cover opening 802 in the vertical direction.
[0077] The externally added component 80 also has a cover non-ventilated portion 803, which extends upward from the upper end of the cover wall surface 801 in a manner that covers a portion of the cover opening 802. The cover non-ventilated portion 803 has a first cover portion 803a and a second cover portion 803b. The first cover portion 803a is a portion that extends upward while tilting toward the outside (outside the toilet). The second cover portion 803b is a portion that extends upward (for example, vertically) at a smaller tilt angle toward the outside than the first cover portion 803a. In the structure of this embodiment, the second cover portion 803b extends upward approximately parallel to the upper container wall surface 421y. Most of the area in the up-down direction of the cover opening 802 is covered by the second cover portion 803b and the like, and only a small portion corresponding to the area from the upper end of the second cover portion 803b to the lower end of the cover wall surface 801 above the second cover portion 803b is not covered by the second cover portion 803b and the like. Alternatively, the extension length of the first cover portion 803a may be, for example, the same as the extension length of the cover wall surface 801. Alternatively, the extension length of the second cover portion 803b may be, for example, sufficiently longer than the extension lengths of the cover wall surface 801 and the first cover portion 803a. For example, the cover wall surface 801 and the first cover portion 803a exist on the extension line of the opening portion 421x of the upper container 4 (the extension line in the front-rear direction).
[0078] In addition, the positional relationship and length of the cover wall surface 801, the cover opening 802 and the cover non-ventilation portion 803 in the external component 80 are not limited to the above-mentioned case. Figure 4As shown in (c), the length of the cover wall surface 801 may be Figure 4 (b) The structure shown is longer, and the length of the second cover portion 803b is longer than Figure 4 That is, the connection portion (bent portion) between the cover wall surface 801 and the first cover portion 803a may be set at a position shorter than Figure 4 (b) The structure shown is located at the top. Figure 4 (b) The structure and Figure 4 In comparison with the structure of (c), the connection portion (bent portion) between the cover wall surface 801 and the first cover portion 803a is set at a relatively lower position. Figure 4 The structure of (b) can effectively prevent urine from rising and splashing outside the toilet.
[0079] Next, the effects of the pet toilet system 1 according to the present embodiment will be described.
[0080] The pet toilet system 1 of the present embodiment includes: an excretion container 2, which contains toilet litter and has a liquid-permeable bottom portion 21; a tray 5, which is arranged below the excretion container 2 and contains an absorbent sheet that absorbs liquid that passes through the bottom portion 21; a lower container 3, which holds the tray 5; and an upper container 4, which is arranged above the excretion container 2 and has a front wall portion 41, a pair of side walls 43, 44 and a rear wall portion 42, the front wall portion 41 forming an opening portion 40 for pets to enter and exit, the pair of side walls 43, 44 being arranged to face each other on both sides of the width direction of the opening portion 40 and extending in the front-to-back direction, the rear wall portion 42 facing the opening portion 40 in the front-to-back direction, and an opening area 421 including a plurality of openings 421x is formed in the upper container 4 above the bottom portion 21 of the excretion container 2.
[0081] In the pet system toilet 1 of the present embodiment, an opening area 421 including a plurality of openings 421x is formed in the area above the bottom surface 21 of the excrement container 2 in the upper container 4. According to such a structure, the ventilation property above the bottom surface 21 that holds feces and urine becomes good. As a result, the feces and urine held by the bottom surface 21 are easily dried, and the generation of bad odor inside the toilet can be suppressed compared with the state where the toilet litter is wet with urine or the state where the feces is wet. In addition, since the opening 421x is formed in the area above the bottom surface 21 in the upper container 4, for example, liquid such as urine, fragments of cat or cat litter with feces attached, and powder (powder, etc.) that flow below through the bottom surface 21 are difficult to splash from the opening 421x to the outside of the toilet. As a result, it is possible to suppress the outside of the toilet from becoming smelly. As described above, according to the pet system toilet 1 of the present embodiment, it is possible to suppress the room from being filled with bad odor due to excrement.
[0082] In addition, since the opening area 421 is formed, light can easily enter the inside of the toilet (the inside of the toilet becomes bright), the dirt inside the toilet can be easily noticed, and the pet can defecate with peace of mind.
[0083] Alternatively, a slit-shaped opening 421x may be formed in the opening region 421. In such a slit-shaped opening 421x, although air can pass through, liquids, powders, etc. are difficult to pass through, so that liquids such as urine, powders, etc. can be more appropriately suppressed from splashing out of the toilet from the opening 421x.
[0084] Alternatively, the length of the opening 421x in the width direction may be longer than the length in the up-down direction. By making the length of the opening 421x in the width direction long enough, the air permeability can be improved in a larger range in the width direction on the bottom surface 21, and the air can be efficiently moved. Thus, the generation of bad odor inside the toilet can be further suppressed. In addition, it can be considered that due to the scratching of the pet, the above-mentioned liquid, powder, etc. will splash in the height direction (up-down direction). In this regard, by making the length in the up-down direction shorter than the length in the width direction, it is possible to suppress the liquid, powder, etc. from being discharged from the opening to the outside of the toilet due to the scratching of the pet.
[0085] Alternatively, a plurality of openings 421x may be formed at predetermined intervals in the vertical direction in the opening region 421. This can improve ventilation in a wide vertical range on the bottom surface 21, allowing air to move efficiently. This can further suppress the generation of odor inside the toilet.
[0086] Alternatively, in the wall portion of the upper container 4 where the opening area 421 is formed, 5% or more of the entire area of the wall portion is the area of the opening 421x. Thus, the area of the opening 421x can be sufficiently ensured and the air permeability can be improved, and the area of the opening 421x can be appropriately prevented from becoming too large and causing liquid, powder, etc. to splash outside the toilet.
[0087] Alternatively, the length of the opening region 421 in the vertical direction may be longer than the length of the excretion container 2 in the vertical direction. Thus, by sufficiently ensuring the length of the opening region 421 in the vertical direction, the air permeability can be improved in a large range in the vertical direction on the bottom surface portion 21, and the air can be efficiently moved. Thus, the generation of bad odor inside the toilet can be further suppressed.
[0088] Alternatively, the length of one opening 421x formed in the opening region 421 in the vertical direction may be shorter than the length of the excretion container 2 in the vertical direction. Thus, by sufficiently obtaining the depth of the excretion container 2 and setting the length of the opening 421x in the vertical direction not to be too long, it is possible to appropriately suppress liquid, powder, etc. from splashing out of the toilet from the opening 421x.
[0089] Alternatively, the length of the opening 421x in the width direction may be longer than the length of the bottom portion 21 in the width direction. Thus, the ventilation can be improved over a wide range of the entire width direction of the bottom portion 21, and the air can be efficiently moved. Thus, the generation of bad odor inside the toilet can be further suppressed.
[0090] The length of the opening 421x in the width direction may be shorter than the length of the bottom surface 21. In such a structure, the probability of liquid, powder, etc. reaching the opening, that is, the probability of liquid, powder, etc. leaking from the opening 421x can be reduced.
[0091] Alternatively, the bottom surface portion 21 has a plurality of bottom surface openings 21a, which are opening portions for liquid to pass through, and the sum of the opening areas of the plurality of opening portions 421x is larger than the sum of the opening areas of the plurality of bottom surface openings 21a. In such a structure, since the ventilation resistance of the opening portion 421x is lower than that of the bottom surface opening 21a, the flow rate of air flowing to the opening portion 421x is larger than the flow rate of air flowing from the main body to the bottom surface portion 21.
[0092] Alternatively, the bottom surface portion 21 may have a plurality of bottom surface openings 21a, which are opening portions for liquid to pass through, and the sum of the opening areas of the plurality of opening portions 421x is smaller than the sum of the opening areas of the plurality of bottom surface openings 21a. In such a structure, the flow rate of air flowing from the outside of the toilet toward the lower part of the toilet is larger than the flow rate of air discharged to the outside of the toilet. Thus, since the air inside the toilet moves to the lower part of the toilet through the bottom surface openings 21a, it is possible to achieve a structure in which the stench inside the toilet is difficult to spread to the outside of the toilet.
[0093] Alternatively, the opening area 421 may be formed in the rear wall portion 42. Thus, the opening area 421 is formed near the inner area of the toilet which is far from the pet's entrance and exit and where ventilation is likely to be poor, thereby effectively improving ventilation inside the toilet.
[0094] Alternatively, the bottom surface 21 has a plurality of bottom surface openings 21a, which are rectangular openings for liquid to pass through, and the length of the opening 421x in the vertical direction is longer than the length of the short side of the bottom surface opening 21a. In such a structure, since the ventilation resistance of the opening 421x is lower than that of the bottom surface opening 21a, the flow rate of air flowing to the opening 421x is larger than the flow rate of air flowing from the main body to the bottom surface 21. As a result, it is easy to discharge the air inside the toilet to the outside, which can effectively dry feces and urine, and can further suppress the generation of bad odor inside the toilet. In addition, when changing urine and feces or changing sand, sand powder will float, but in this structure, since the sand powder is not accumulated on the upper part of the sand, but the sand powder is discharged from the main body to the outside, the air inside the main body can be efficiently cleaned.
[0095] Alternatively, the bottom surface portion 21 has a plurality of bottom surface openings 21a, which are rectangular openings for liquid to pass through, and the length of the opening 421x in the vertical direction is shorter than the length of the long side of the bottom surface opening 21a. In such a structure, the flow rate of air flowing from the outside of the toilet toward the lower part of the toilet is larger than the flow rate of air discharged to the outside of the toilet. Thus, since the air inside the toilet moves to the lower part of the toilet through the bottom surface opening, it can be a structure in which the odor inside the toilet is difficult to spread to the outside of the toilet.
[0096] Alternatively, the upper container 4 may include an outer extension portion 422, which is provided on the wall portion having the opening area 421 and extends outward from the wall portion. By providing the outer extension portion 422, urine or the like dripping to the outside along the slit-shaped opening portion 421x can be blocked, and urine or the like can be appropriately prevented from splashing outside the toilet.
[0097] The outer extension 422 may be provided below the lower end of the opening region 421. With this configuration, the outer extension 422 can appropriately block urine or the like dripping from the opening 421x, and urine or the like can be more appropriately prevented from splashing outside the toilet.
[0098] The outer extension part 422 may be provided above the upper end of the bottom part 21. Thus, urine or the like blocked by the outer extension part 422 can flow to the bottom part 21, and urine can be appropriately prevented from forming urinary stones and emitting a bad odor.
[0099] Alternatively, the upper container 4 may further include a locking portion 425 extending downward from the lower end of the outer extension portion 422 and locking with the bottom surface portion 21, and the outer extension portion 422 may extend outwardly shorter than the length of the locking portion 425 in the vertical direction. By preventing the outer extension portion 422 from extending too long, the strength of the outer extension portion 422 can be ensured, and urine may be prevented from excessively accumulating in the outer extension portion 422 and emitting a foul odor.
[0100] The outer extension part 422 may be inclined upward toward the outer end portion thereof. By inclining upward toward the outer side, urine or the like can be made less likely to overflow from the outer extension part 422 to the outside.
[0101] Alternatively, the pet system toilet 1 may further include an external component 80, which is disposed on the outside of the opening area 421 in a manner facing the opening area 421, and a plurality of openings, namely, cover openings 802, are formed at predetermined intervals in the vertical direction on the surface of the external component 80 facing the opening area 421. In this way, by disposing the external component 80 on the outside of the opening area 421, it is possible to more effectively suppress urine and the like from splashing to the outside. In addition, since a plurality of cover openings 802 are formed at predetermined intervals in the vertical direction on the external component 80, it is possible to avoid deterioration of ventilation due to the provision of the external component 80, and to suppress the generation of bad odor inside the toilet.
[0102] Alternatively, the external component 80 includes: a cover wall surface 801, which is provided below the cover opening 802 in a manner continuous with the cover opening 802 in the up-down direction; and a cover non-ventilation portion 803, which extends upward from the upper end of the cover wall surface 801 in a manner covering a portion of the cover opening 802, and the cover non-ventilation portion 803 includes: a first cover portion 803a, which extends upward while being inclined outward; and a second cover portion 803b, which is continuous with the upper end of the first cover portion 803a and extends upward at a smaller inclination angle to the outside than the first cover portion 803a. By extending the cover non-ventilation portion 803 upward in a manner covering a portion of the cover opening 802, it is easy to generate air flow from the lower part to the upper part of the cover opening 802, and the ventilation between the inside and the outside of the toilet through the cover opening 802 can be improved. In addition, by making the cover non-ventilation part 803 tilt outward while extending upward, the area of the cover opening 802 formed between the cover non-ventilation part 803 and the cover wall surface 801 can be increased compared with the case where the cover non-ventilation part 803 is not tilted outward but extends on the same surface as the cover wall surface 801. As a result, the ventilation can be further improved. In addition, by making the tilt angle (tilt angle to the outside) of the second cover part 803b smaller and making the second cover part 803b extend upward at an angle close to vertical, it is possible to effectively suppress urine and the like from splashing to the outside.
[0103] Alternatively, the wall portion having the opening area 421, i.e., the rear wall portion 42, may be inclined inwardly while extending upwardly. According to such a structure, when the pet urinates on the rear wall portion 42 having the opening area 421, the urine easily flows to the lower part of the toilet through the angled rear wall portion 42. Thus, urine can be prevented from remaining in the opening area 421, and the generation of bad odor inside the toilet can be prevented.
[0104] Alternatively, for two openings 421x adjacent to each other in the vertical direction, the upper opening 421x is located closer to the inside of the toilet than the lower opening 421x. According to such a structure, when the pet urinates on the rear wall 42 having the opening area 421, the urine easily flows to the lower part of the toilet through the angled rear wall 42. Thus, urine can be prevented from remaining in the opening area 421, and the generation of bad odor inside the toilet can be prevented.
[0105] As mentioned above, although this embodiment was described, this invention is not limited to the said embodiment.
[0106] Figure 5 (a) is a cross-sectional view of an upper container 4A to which an externally added member according to a modified example is attached, and (b) is a partially enlarged view of the cross-sectional view. Figure 5The structure of the upper container 4A shown is substantially the same as that of the upper container 4 described in the embodiment, but the structure in the opening region and the structure in the externally added member are partially different.
[0107] like Figure 5 As shown in (b), the upper container 4A has: an upper container wall 401, which is provided below the opening 402 in a manner continuous with the opening 402 in the vertical direction; and an upper container non-ventilated portion 403, which extends upward from the upper end of the upper container wall 401 in a manner covering a portion of the opening 402. In addition, the upper container non-ventilated portion 403 has: a first portion 403a, which extends upward while tilting outward; and a second portion 403b, which is continuous with the upper end of the first portion 403a and extends upward at a smaller tilt angle to the outside than the first portion. In addition, in the externally added member provided outside the opening area, the opening 821x and the externally added member wall 821y without the opening are alternately and repeatedly formed in the vertical direction. In this way, in the upper container 4A, the structure in the opening area and the externally added member is opposite to that of the upper container 4. In such a structure that the upper container non-ventilation part 403 extends upward in a manner covering a part of the opening part 402, it is easy to generate air flow from the lower part of the opening part 402 to the upper part, and the ventilation between the inside and the outside of the toilet through the opening part 402 can be improved. In addition, by making the upper container non-ventilation part 403 tilt outward while extending upward, the area of the opening part 402 formed between the upper container non-ventilation part 403 and the upper container wall surface 401 can be increased compared with the case where the upper container non-ventilation part 403 is not tilted outward but extends on the same surface as the upper container wall surface 401. Thus, the ventilation can be further improved. In addition, by making the inclination angle (inclination angle to the outside) of the second part 403b smaller and making the second part 403b extend upward at an angle close to vertical, it is possible to effectively suppress urine and the like from splashing to the outside.
[0108] In addition, the externally added component is not an essential component, and the externally added component may not be installed in the structure of the above-mentioned upper container 4A.
[0109] Figure 6~Figure 11 They are cross-sectional views of upper containers according to modified examples.
[0110] like Figure 6As shown, the upper container may also include an inner extension portion 450, which is provided on a wall portion (here, the rear wall portion) where the opening area is formed, and extends from the wall portion to the inside. Alternatively, the inner extension portion 450 includes: a first extension portion 451, which is continuous with the outer extension portion 422 and extends inward; and a second extension portion 452, which extends downward from the front end of the first extension portion 451. According to such a structure, urine, etc., which has reached the opening area, can flow toward the bottom surface of the toilet, and splashing of urine, etc. to the outside of the toilet can be appropriately suppressed.
[0111] Alternatively, it can be, Figure 7 As shown, the upper container further has a concave drainage groove 460 at a position outside the outer end of the outer extension 422. According to such a structure, the drainage groove 460 can be used to block urine or the like that splashes further outside beyond the outer extension 422, and urine or the like can be more appropriately suppressed from splashing outside the toilet.
[0112] Alternatively, it can be, Figure 8 As shown, the upper container has a plurality of second extensions 471 that function as urine troughs in addition to the outer extension 422. In this case, each second extension 471 may be configured to extend outward from the wall like the outer extension 422 and be provided at different heights.
[0113] Alternatively, it can be, Fig. 9 As shown, a plurality of guide grooves 481 are formed along the extension direction of the outer extension portion 422. Thus, urine or the like can be appropriately guided into the toilet, and urine or the like can be appropriately prevented from splashing outside the toilet.
[0114] Alternatively, it can be, Fig.10 As shown, the upper container has an outer extension part 522 instead of the outer extension part 422. The structure of the outer extension part 522 is roughly the same as that of the outer extension part 422, but it has a rear end part 522a extending upward at its outer end. By providing such a rear end part 522a, it is possible to more effectively suppress urine and the like from splashing outside the toilet at the outer extension part 522.
[0115] Alternatively, it can be, Fig.11 As shown, the upper container has a transverse wall 622 disposed at both ends of the width direction of the opening region. By providing such a transverse wall 622, it is possible to more effectively suppress urine and the like from splashing outside the toilet.
[0116] In addition, the length of the opening portion of the opening area in the vertical direction may be longer than the length in the width direction. By making the length of the opening portion in the vertical direction long enough, the air permeability can be improved in a larger range in the vertical direction, and the air can be efficiently moved. For example, urine odor is lighter than air and is easily retained in the upper part of the space, and fecal odor is heavier than air and is easily retained in the lower part of the space. In this regard, by improving the air permeability in a larger range in the vertical direction, various malodors such as those mentioned above can be efficiently excreted. In this way, the generation of malodors inside the toilet can be further suppressed.
[0117] In addition, the position of the center line of the opening area in the width direction and the position of the center line of the bottom surface portion 21 in the width direction may be inconsistent with each other. That is, the opening area may be formed at a position offset from the center of the rear wall portion 42, or may be formed at a wall portion other than the rear wall portion 42. Pets sometimes like to defecate without pressure when the entrance and exit portion is not in front of them. Such pets will defecate at a position offset from the center line in the width direction of the toilet. In this regard, by offsetting the position of the center line of the opening area from the position of the center line of the toilet (bottom surface portion), the opening area can be configured to match the defecation position of the pet that defecates at a position offset from the center line, and the opening area can be configured at a position that is easy to dry feces and urine.
