Abstract
Description
Technical field:
[0001] The present disclosure relates to an agrochemical composition for crop protection. The present disclosure also relates to a method for preparing the composition.
[0002] Background technology of the present disclosure:
[0003] Crop protection agrochemical compositions can be formulated in different ways, and the characteristics of the active ingredients and the properties of the formulation may cause problems in terms of the ease of formulation, stability, ease of application and activity of the formulation. In addition, some formulations are more advantageous than others for economic and ecological reasons.
[0004] Therefore, highly concentrated active ingredient formulations are desirable because they offer many advantages. For example, highly concentrated formulations require less packaging costs and complexity than less concentrated formulations. As a result, the costs and complexity of production, transportation and storage are reduced, and in addition, the preparation of spray solutions used in agriculture is simplified, such as during the dispensing and mixing operations, due to the handling of small-volume containers of crop protection compositions.
[0005] The advantage of liquid formulations over powder formulations is that they do not generate dust when the spray liquid is reconstituted (usually by adding water). Suspension concentrates are preferred liquid formulations because they are concentrated. Suspension concentrates refer to suspensions of solid particulate active ingredients in liquids that must be diluted with water before use. Suspension concentrates were developed primarily because they have a variety of advantages over other formulations, such as no dust generation, reduced toxicity and flammability due to solvents, and higher efficiency due to smaller particle size and small packaging volume. However, problems with suspension concentrate formulations such as low surface tension, foaming, and low pH still exist. When applied to crops, the acidity or low pH of suspension concentrates can adversely affect the soil and destroy the appearance of crops, thereby affecting the yield of agricultural products. Lower pH values can also affect the half-life of the active ingredients in the formulation, leading to their degradation.
[0006] Zoxanil is a benzamide fungicide that is very effective against oomycete pathogens. This fungicide disrupts the microtubule cytoskeleton by binding to β-tubulin. It is currently widely used in potatoes, vine crops and other vegetable crops.
[0007] However, there is a need in the art to develop a stable bezobactam preparation to overcome the disadvantages of the known preparations and have excellent efficacy. There is also a need in the art to provide a bezobactam suspension concentrate preparation with a neutral pH value and low surface tension, which preparation has stability.

[0391] It should be understood that this description and examples are illustrative rather than limiting of the present disclosure, and those skilled in the art may select other embodiments according to the nature and scope of the present disclosure. Other embodiments may also be implemented within the scope of the present disclosure. The following examples illustrate the present invention, but are in no way intended to limit the scope of the claims.
[0392] Example
[0393] This disclosure will be described with reference to the following examples:
[0394] Example 1: Composition of SC suspension of oxadiazine
[0395] Element Quantity (w / w) % Benzamide; 22.15 Ethoxylated isotridecanol 1.12 Monopropylene glycol 7.16 Sodium lignin sulfonate 8.95 Dimethicone Oil 0.90 water QS total 100
[0396] method:
[0397] The method for preparing the suspension concentrate fungicide composition includes the corresponding amounts of the ingredients in the above table. Water is added to a container under stirring, followed by the addition of polydimethylsiloxane oil. Ethoxylated isotridecyl alcohol is heated to a temperature of about 25°C to about 30°C and then homogenized before use. Monopropylene glycol and sodium lignin sulfonate are charged to a container, followed by the addition of zoxamide. During the addition of the active ingredients, the mixture is homogenized by stirring and passed through a colloid mill. The stirrer in the charging tank is set to a low speed and stirring is continued during the grinding process to prevent settling. The slurry is ground using a horizontal bead mill and the processing conditions are adjusted so that the temperature of the ground slurry does not exceed about 40°C. The complete ground base is transferred to a storage tank. The gel is added to the storage tank and stirred continuously until a completely uniform state is achieved.
[0398] Example 2: Physicochemical stability data
[0399] The stability of the zoxamide SC composition prepared according to Example 1 was evaluated for the stability of physical parameters under accelerated heat stability (AHS) conditions (2 weeks at 54°C) and 3 months at 40°C.
[0400] Table 2: Physical properties of the composition of Example 1
[0401]
[0402] Sediment
[0403] Y = normal sediment
[0404] N = No precipitate or undetectable precipitate
[0405] Water hardness
[0406] Water D: 342ppm
[0407] Water A: 20ppm
[0408] Dispersion stability
[0409] H = uniform appearance
[0410] H = uniform S = precipitate (ml)
[0411] F = Flocculation
[0412] The stability of the composition was evaluated at 54°C for 2 weeks and at 40°C for 3 months and compared to initial observations of the composition.
[0413] The study found that the active content remained almost constant without any significant deterioration or loss. The composition also passed the wet sieve test as no crystal residue was observed on the wet sieve. The particle size of the composition was analyzed and found to be almost constant, indicating that the particle size growth or crystal formation was negligible (Table 2). The pH value was also maintained at a high level during the tested time period. The composition of Example 1 showed improved suspension, improved uniformity and no precipitation. Therefore, it is concluded that the composition of Example 1 remains stable in the environment and AHS, which ensures the overall stability of the composition.
[0414] Example 3: Surfactant screening and comparative study
[0415] Different anionic and nonionic surfactants were tested individually and in various combinations, and then a stable combination of surfactants that helped to form a stable suspension concentrate composition was determined. After determining the optimal weight of the active ingredient and surfactant combination, various anionic and nonionic surfactants were tested to evaluate their impact on the final composition.
[0416] In order to compare the physical stability, keeping the active ingredients of the present composition unchanged, various surfactants were combined in an optimal ratio to develop these compositions, which were named as Comparative Examples 'A', 'B' and 'C', respectively. The stability test was conducted at 54°C for 2 weeks.
[0417] The present disclosure provides a rationale for selecting surfactants for use in fungicide compositions.
[0418] Table 3: Surfactant screening
[0419]
[0420]
[0421] NT: Not Tested The present composition as described above has a high pH value and a low surface tension, which facilitates application in crops.
[0422] Example 4: Stability Study
[0423] The stability of the zoxamide SC composition prepared according to Example 1 was evaluated for the physical parameters at 0°C and 25°C for 6 and 12 months.
[0424] Table 4: Physical properties of the composition of Example 1
[0425]
[0426] Sediment:
[0427] Y = normal sediment
[0428] N = No precipitate or undetectable precipitate
[0429] The stability of the composition was evaluated at 6 and 12 months at 0°C and 25°C and compared with the initial observations of the composition. The particle size of the composition was analyzed and found to be almost constant, indicating that there was little or negligible particle size growth or crystal formation. The pH value was also maintained at a high level during the tested time period. No precipitation occurred in the composition of Example 1. Therefore, it was concluded that the composition of Example 1 remained stable from 6 to 12 months, which ensured the overall stability of the composition.
[0430] Example 5: Composition of zoxadiazole suspension concentrate (SC)
[0431]
[0432]
[0433] method:
[0434] The preparation method of the composition of Example 5 is the same as disclosed in Example 1.
[0435] Thus, the inventors of the present disclosure have discovered that the suspension concentrate compositions developed according to the present disclosure use selected anionic and nonionic surfactants to form stable compositions. The performance of the selected surfactants improves over time with little or no precipitation and less reduction in particle size. The suspension concentrate compositions prepared according to the present disclosure also pass the wet sieve test, indicating that the product is stable.
