Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a cargo compartment cover for a motor vehicle, comprising:

[0002] a housing having two housing ends axially opposite one another;

[0003] - an end cover which is supported axially movably on an end of the housing;

[0004] - an outer end position of the end cap, which forms a locking position for anchoring in a locking receptacle on the vehicle side;

[0005] a first inner end position, which forms a release position for release from a locking receptacle on the vehicle side;

[0006] - an elastic element between the housing and the end cap, which holds the end cap in its locked position and the end cap executes a movement stroke into the released position by overcoming the elastic force of the elastic element;

[0007] A first stop, at which the elastic element is supported in order to retain the end cap in its locked position and which limits the travel in the direction of the release position. Background Art

[0008] Loading compartment covers for motor vehicles are sufficiently known from the prior art. In particular, in station wagons, loading compartment covers are used to protect the loading compartment from being viewed through the vehicle window. To this end, a covering web is pulled out of a housing in which a reel is mounted and anchored near the loading compartment entrance.

[0009] In a specific connection situation, if in particular the cargo space of a station wagon will be increased by flipping over the rear seats, the cargo space cover that is usually arranged behind the rear seats will interfere and must be taken out. Here, it is particularly comfortable that the cargo space cover itself can be loaded in the motor vehicle.

[0010] Loading a cargo space covering in a motor vehicle usually involves certain difficulties, since the housing length of the cargo space covering (measured transversely to the forward movement direction of the motor vehicle) is usually almost equal to the interior width of the motor vehicle. Therefore, unused cargo space coverings must usually be carried in the vehicle like luggage or stored outside the vehicle after removal.

[0011] A cargo hold cover of the aforementioned type is disclosed, for example, in documents DE 10 2015 100 319 B3 or DE 10 2018 125 299 B3 of the applicant.

[0012] In order to be able to store the cargo space cover comfortably in the vehicle (despite the huge length extension of the cargo space cover), the applicant has proposed in document DE102016121560A1 that the cargo space cover is designed to be more compact by "folding" the reel housing for loading in the motor vehicle. The covering web and the reel are designed in two parts along the extension direction of the covering web. The housing is also designed in two parts and is provided with a hinge. In this way, the housing can be pivoted about the hinge until the two housing parts overlap each other.

[0013] It is possible to "shorten" this type of reel housing so that the cargo space cover can be for example loaded in the compartment below the cargo space bottom. In this way, the cargo space cover can be carried in the vehicle when not in use and can be used at any time.

[0014] EP 2 133 239 A1 also shows a foldable cargo space covering in which two parts of a covering web are connected to one another via a zipper.

[0015] Document EP 1 852 289 A2 shows a foldable cargo space cover which uses different solutions for connecting the housing halves.

[0016] Document FR 2 893 888 A3 shows a specific hinge design for a foldable cargo space cover.

[0017] The solution for a foldable cargo space covering shown in document DE 10 2012 106 214 A1 shows the possibility of connecting parts of dimensionally stable end pieces to one another at the edge of the covering web facing away from the winding axis.

[0018] A foldable separating net is known from DE 199 44 003 C1.

[0019] However, it has been shown that this solution, which is available in principle, does not always meet the comfort requirements of the user, so that the costs in terms of production technology are not always proportional to the benefits. Summary of the invention

[0020] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a loading space covering which can be stowed in a vehicle and which has a simple design in terms of its technical structure.

[0021] The invention is achieved by a cargo space covering having the features of claim 1, in particular the features of its characterizing part, according to which a first stop can be moved from an active position into a neutral position; a second stop is present, which enables a second inner end position of the end cap, which defines a transport position. The second stop is active if the first stop is in its neutral position; and the movement path of the end cap between the locked position and the transport position is greater than the movement path between the locked position and the release position.

[0022] The present invention firstly makes it possible to shorten the effective length of the cargo space cover by virtue of the fact that the end cap on the shell side (the shell usually has one end cap at each of its axial ends) is not only moved into an inner end position in order to be loosened from the retaining element on the vehicle side, but also to achieve a second inner end position in which the cargo space cover can be loaded and transported within the vehicle.

[0023] Specifically, this means, for example, that the end cap can perform a movement path of approximately 25 millimeters between its locked position and its released position, directed against the elastic force of the elastic element. The length of this movement path is in particular defined by the first stop, which limits the movement path between the locked position and the released position.

[0024] If the first stop is now moved from its active position into the neutral position, there is no movement restriction of the end cap caused by the first stop, and the end cap can now continue to move inwards into the second inner end position, which is defined by the second stop. It is possible, but not absolutely necessary, for the second stop to also cooperate with the elastic element. In this way, the possible inward movement stroke of the end cap can be significantly increased, for example by 50 millimeters on each side, whereby the effective housing length can be significantly shortened. Since the effect of the elastic element is eliminated or at least can be greatly reduced, the cargo compartment cover shortened in this way can be easily handled and can be reliably loaded and transported in the space provided for the cargo compartment cover.

[0025] If the second stop cooperates with the elastic element as described above, it is conceivable that the end cap can execute an inwardly directed fixing stroke from the transport position while overcoming the restoring force of the elastic element.

[0026] In this way, it is possible to provide a fixing element in the loading space, into which the end cover engages when the loading space covering is stowed, similar to a conventional fastening of the loading space covering in its use position. In this way, secure and rattling-free storage of the loading space covering is also ensured when not in use.

[0027] In particular, it is provided that the second stop is formed by a cover end wall which delimits the end cover axially on the outside. In a very simple embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the first stop is a latch which is inserted into the end cover in its active position in cooperation with the elastic element and is removed from the end cover in its neutral position.

[0028] However, it is particularly preferred that the first stop is formed by a latching element of the end cap, in which the counter-latching element engages when the latching element on the end cap is in its active position.

[0029] This embodiment of the invention allows: not to implement the first stop as a separately removable component, such as the aforementioned latch, but only to decouple the effective engagement, so that the first stop remains on the cargo space covering and can be moved back into its active position at any time when required.

[0030] In particular, it is provided, for example, that the first stop is formed by a latching opening in the end cap, into which the latching projection engages in the active position and a neutral position of the latching opening is assumed if the latching projection is out of engagement with the latching opening.

[0031] In particular, it is provided that the counter-locking means are arranged on the housing side.

[0032] A particularly sophisticated embodiment provides that a receiving block is provided for the spring element, which receiving block is arranged on the housing of the cargo space covering and in which the spring element is arranged so as to act in the axial direction.

[0033] In this case, it is provided that the receiving block is arranged on the housing wall, ie does not protrude axially relative to the housing end and the support of the elastic element can therefore have no influence on the housing length.

[0034] Furthermore, it is provided that the receiving block has an axially displaceable slide which is held by the elastic element in its axially outer position and which can be displaced into an axially inner position by overcoming the elastic restoring force of the elastic element.

[0035] In this case, the slide is preferably moved along the longitudinal extension of the receiving block, so that the slide also has absolutely no influence on the length of the housing.

[0036] Furthermore, it is provided that the slide cooperates with a first stop in order to hold the end cap in its locking position and with a second stop in order to hold the end cap in its transport position.

[0037] This particularly preferred embodiment ensures that the coupling between the end cap and the elastic element takes place in the region of the housing and that absolutely no components which influence the length of the housing are arranged between the end cap and the housing end. As a result, the end cap can be moved particularly close to the housing end, so that the length of the housing end cap substantially determines the maximum movement path of the end cap.

[0038] Furthermore, it is provided that the slide carries counter-locking means.

[0039] In particular, it is provided that the slide forms an impact lock which cooperates with the second stop and enables a fixing stroke of the end cap to be achieved by overcoming a spring force. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0050] In the figures, the cargo space covering according to the invention is generally designated by the reference numeral 10. Only the left half of the cargo space covering 10 is shown relative to the plane of the paper. In addition, only the components that are important to the invention are shown.

[0051] exist Figure 1 1 shows a first perspective view of a cargo space covering 10 or the left half of a cargo space covering 10. A housing 11 is shown, which is provided with a pull-out slot 12, through which a covering web (not shown in further detail) which is supported on a reel (also not shown) can be pulled out.

[0052] The housing 11 has two axially opposite housing ends 13. Since only the left half of the cargo space covering 10 with respect to the paper plane is shown in the illustration, only the left housing end 13 is also visible.

[0053] An end cap 14 is placed on the housing end 13. The end cap 14 surrounds the housing end 13 and can be displaced axially on the housing end 13, ie, along the longitudinal axis of the housing.

[0054] Figure 2 Shown in accordance with Figure 1 10, wherein the housing 11 is however rotated 180° about its longitudinal axis so that its underside is visible. In particular, it can be seen that the end cap 14 is provided with a latching recess 15, which is formed in the form of an opening 16 in the end cap 14. A mating latching means 17 engages in the latching recess 15. In this embodiment, the mating latching means has the form of a latching catch 18.

[0055] Furthermore, visible is a receiving block 19 which is fastened to the housing underside and is arranged within the end cap 14 .

[0056] Figure 3 As shown in the exploded view Figure 1 10 in a view of the cargo compartment cover 10. All components that are important for the invention are now shown. In addition to the housing 11 and the end caps 14 of the cargo compartment cover 10, the receiving block 19 is first shown. The receiving block has two retaining feet 20 at its axial inner end and two positioning projections 21 on its bearing surface facing the underside of the housing.

[0057] The receiving block 19 forms two mutually parallel receiving cavities (not visible here) arranged axially with respect to the longitudinal axis of the housing for each helical spring element 22. The helical spring element 22 is therefore arranged in each cavity of the receiving block 19.

[0058] Furthermore, the receiving block 19 carries a slide 23. The slide 23 has two guide pins 24, which are arranged on the movement path of each spiral spring element 22 and are inserted into a receiving cavity (not shown in more detail) of the receiving block 19. The slide 23 is arranged on the receiving block 19 so as to be axially movable relative to the longitudinal axis of the housing and can move inwards, i.e. in the direction of the opposite, right housing end 13 here with respect to the plane of the drawing, by overcoming the restoring force of the spiral spring element 22.

[0059] The slide 23 carries a latching lever 25 which carries the latching catch 18 on its surface facing outward, ie pointing away from the housing 11. The latching lever 25 is pivotably mounted on the slide 23 and is held in the latching position by a compression spring 26.

[0060] Furthermore, a closure wall 27 is shown, which in the following exemplary embodiment is held on the housing end 13 by means of two rivets 28 and closes its axial opening. Furthermore, the closure wall 27 has the function of holding the slide 23 in the receiving cavity of the receiving block 19 while overcoming the elastic restoring force of the spiral spring element 22. Furthermore, the closure wall 27 fixes the receiving block 19 on the housing 11, which will be discussed later.

[0061] exist Figure 3 The opening of the end cap 14 pointing toward the housing 11 can also be seen in the figure. Two fixing ribs 29 can be seen there. When the cargo space cover 10 is assembled, in particular when the end cap 14 is mounted on the housing end 13, the fixing ribs 29 engage the axial inner end of the receiving block 19 from behind and thus fix the end cap 14 on the housing 11 of the cargo space cover 10.

[0062] Figure 4 The exploded diagram shows Figure 2 Alternatively, it can also be expressed as, Figure 4 yes Figure 3 180°. Here again, the housing 11 is shown first. The housing has two retaining slots 30, into which the retaining feet 20 of the receiving block 19 extend in order to engage the housing wall from behind. Also visible are two positioning holes 31. The receiving block 19, which is not shown here but is Figure 3 The positioning protrusion 21 visible in the figure is embedded in each positioning hole 31.

[0063] Receive block 19 at Figure 4 As shown in Figure 4 It can be seen that the receiving block 19 has two legs 32 oriented axially and parallel to one another, which form in their interior a receiving cavity (not shown in any more detail) for the helical elastic element 22 .

[0064] Also shown are the slide 23 and the latching lever 25 with its latching catch 18. The end cap 14 is shown, which here shows its latching recess 15 in the form of an opening 16.

[0065] Figures 5 to 7 The cargo space covering 10 according to the above-mentioned figures is shown in a longitudinal section through the left half relative to the plane of the paper.

[0066] Figure 5 The end cap 14 is shown here in its axially outer end position, the locking position. Figure 6 The end cap 14 is shown in its first inner end position, the released position. Figure 7 The end cap 14 is shown in its second inner end position, the transport position.

[0067] according to Figure 5 First, the structure of the cargo compartment cover 10 is explained in more detail. The sectional view shows the cargo compartment cover 10 with its housing 11, wherein the receiving block 19 is first mounted on the underside of the housing. For this purpose, the retaining foot 20 passes through the retaining slot 30 and engages the housing wall from behind. Therefore, the receiving block 19 cannot be removed radially with respect to the longitudinal axis of the housing. The locking projection 21 engages in the locking hole 31 and fixes the receiving block 19 against axial movement.

[0068] The closure wall 27 is placed on the housing 11 at the end and engages in a manner not shown in the figure in the axially outer end wall of the receiving block 19 in order to also secure it against removal in the radial direction with respect to the longitudinal axis of the housing.

[0069] At the same time, the closing wall 27 holds the slide 23 with its latching lever 25 on the receiving block 19 against the restoring force of the spiral spring element 22 (not shown here) and limits the axial outward movement path of the slide 23 .

[0070] The slide 23 forms with its axially outer end side an impact lock 33 , the function of which will be described in greater detail below.

[0071] exist Figure 5 It can also be seen that the latching catch 18 is held in its radially outer latching position by a compression spring 26 and engages in the latching recess 15 of the end cap 14 .

[0072] The end cap 14 forms a first stop 34 and a second stop 35. The first stop 34 is formed by the latching recess 15 in the present embodiment. The first stop 34 is coupled to the spiral elastic element 22 via the latching buckle 18 and the latching lever 25 and the slide 23. The spiral elastic element 22 holds the slide 23 axially outside. The coupling via the first stop 34 results in the spiral elastic element 22 holding the end cap 14 in its outer terminal position. This outer terminal position corresponds to the so-called locking position, in which the end cap 14 cooperates with an anchoring contour on the side of the vehicle interior in a manner not shown but known from the prior art and reliably holds the cargo compartment cover 10 in its use position.

[0073] Figure 6 Shown in accordance with Figure 5 However, it can be seen that the end cap 14 has been Figure 5 Axially inwards, i.e. in the direction of the opposite housing end 13, not shown in the drawing. This occurs when the slider 23 is carried along, wherein, if the slider strikes the axially inner end wall of the receiving block 19, the slider reaches its axially inner end position. As a result, the helical elastic element 22 is compressed by the slider 23 and an elastic restoring force is generated in the direction opposite to the movement of the end cap. Figure 6 The first end position shown in defines the release position of the end cap 14 .

[0074] The movement path of the end cap 14 carried out to reach the release position releases the coupling between the end cap 14 and the anchoring contour (not shown) of the motor vehicle side interior trim part. This makes it possible to remove the cargo space covering 10 from its use position.

[0075] Here, however, the first stop 34 remains in its active position, so that coupling with the helical elastic element 22 is achieved. Therefore, if the user-applied force for moving the end cap 14 to its position is eliminated, Figure 6 The force in the released position shown in FIG. 1 is then applied to the end cap 14 to return to its original position. Figure 5 In the locked position shown in , in its outer end position.

[0076] Figure 7 Now show something like Figure 5 and Figure 6 Here, however, the end cap 14 is moved into its second inner end position, the transport position.

[0077] To this end, first the coupling between the end cap 14 and the slide 23 is released by releasing the engagement of the latching catch 18 with the latching recess 15. To this end, the latching catch 18 is moved radially inwards and the aligned arrangement of the latching catch 18 with the latching recess 15 is released. As a result, the latching recess 15 in the form of the first stop 34 is displaced from its active position into a neutral position. The end cap 14 can now be moved axially inwards, i.e. in the direction of the opposite housing end 13. In this case, the path is no longer limited by the maximum displacement range of the slide 23.

[0078] The axial inward movement of the end cap 14 is terminated only when a second stop 35 in the form of a cap end wall 36 strikes against the impact lock 33 or, if such an impact lock is not present, against the closing wall 27. In this so-called second inner end position or in this transport position, the end cap 14 cannot be moved back into the outer end position because the engagement between the end cap 14 and the helical elastic element 22 has been released.

[0079] It is clear that the cavity which originally remained between the closing wall 27 and the cover end wall 36 is almost completely filled by the housing 11. The effective length of the cargo space covering 10 is thus reduced by the movement path between the outer end position of the end cover 14 and the transport position. This length minimization allows the cargo space covering 10 to be easily stowed in a corresponding compartment, for example under the cargo space floor of a motor vehicle.

[0080] In particular, the Figure 7 Another aspect of the present invention is shown in the embodiment of FIG.

[0081] As already mentioned above, the second stop 35 does not strike against the end wall 27 here, but rather strikes against the impact locking element 33 which protrudes slightly in the axial direction relative to the end wall 27 .

[0082] The impact lock 33 is part of the slide 23 and is therefore Figure 5 and Figure 6 As can be seen from the comparative observation between the two, in principle, it is possible to move axially inwards while overcoming the force of the spiral elastic element 22. It is therefore possible to move the end cover 14 further inwards from the transport position over a relatively small distance, thus overcoming the force of the spiral elastic element 22, and to implement a so-called fixing stroke. This fixing stroke can be used, for example, to enable the end cover 14 to be locked into a fixing part (not shown) that is arranged in the loading space for the cargo space covering 10. In this way, the cargo space covering 10 can be stored securely and without rattling in a fixed position in the loading space according to the principle that the cargo space covering 10 is held in the anchoring contour of the motor vehicle interior.

[0083] The spiral spring element 22 tends to push the impact lock 33 axially outward and thus guides the end cap 14 back into its transport position, thereby ensuring a secure engagement of the end cap 14 in the fastening contour of the loading compartment.

[0084] In summary, a cargo compartment cover 10 is disclosed which, by using two stops 34 / 35, allows, on the one hand, a first inner end position of the end cover 14 and, on the other hand, a second inner end position of the end cover, wherein the movement path between the outer end position and the second inner end position is significantly greater than the movement path between the outer end position and the first inner end position. As a result, the housing length can be significantly reduced if the end cover 14 occupies its second inner end position.

[0085] The concrete exemplary embodiment shows how the components essential for realizing the invention can be preassembled in a clever manner on the receiving block 19 and combined to form a superordinate structural unit, which greatly simplifies the production and handling of the cargo space covering 10 according to the invention.

[0086] Finally, it is shown that a secure anchoring of the cargo space cover 10 within the loading compartment can be achieved by clever use of the elastic element 22 according to known principles.

[0087] exist Figure 8 and Fig. 9 An alternative solution to the problem of the invention is shown in . Analogously to the previous figures, an end section of a cargo space covering 100 is shown, in which a part of a housing 101 and an end cap 102 assigned to the housing shown can be seen. Figure 8 Here, a view of the pull-out slot 103 of the housing 101 is shown. Fig. 9 It is shown along Figure 8 A vertical cross-sectional view of the paper plane.

[0088] like Figure 8 As shown, the end cap 102 also initially has a slot section 104, which is aligned with the extension slot 103 and enables the extension of the covering web (not shown). The end cap 102 then has an actuating handle 105. The actuating handle serves to enable the end cap to be gripped ergonomically and to be moved from its end position relative to the housing 101 into its release position. The end cap 102 also has a coupling handle 106, the function of which will be explained below.

[0089] Fig. 9 Shown in accordance with Figure 8 FIG. 1 is a cross-section of a partial view of a cargo compartment cover 100 .

[0090] Depend on Fig. 9First of all, it can be seen that the end cap forms a support pin 108 on its inner wall 107 facing the housing. The support pin carries a helical spring 109, which extends into a spring chamber 110 on one side of the housing 101 and is supported there on the bottom of the spring chamber 110. The end cap 102 is held in its outer end position, the locking position, by means of the helical spring 109. Here, the end cap 102 can be moved in the direction of the housing end into a release position while overcoming the elastic force of the helical spring 109.

[0091] In the present example, the support pin 108 carries the helical spring 109. The helical spring 109 is therefore fixed on the support pin 108. However, it is also conceivable that the helical spring 109 is fixed in the spring chamber 110.

[0092] also, Fig. 9 The coupling handle 106 is shown. It is shown here that the coupling handle 106 forms a latching projection 111 on its side facing the housing 101. The latching projection 111 engages in a latching recess 112, which is formed by the housing 101. The end cap 102 is fixed in this way to prevent it from slipping off from the housing 101 in the direction of the locking position. At the same time, the coupling handle 106 can be used to release the latching projection 111 from the latching recess 112, so that the end cap 102 can be pulled down from the housing 101 in the direction of the locking position.

[0093] As especially by Fig. 9 As can be seen, the end cap 102 has a significant axial excess relative to the housing end or the end cap 113 fixed therein. The end cap 102 designed to be removable by means of the coupling handle 106 thus allows the effective length of the cargo space covering (measured along the longitudinal axis of the cargo space covering) to be significantly reduced. In this way, the length reduction can be easily achieved in order to support the cargo space covering in a narrow loading compartment located in the vehicle.

[0094] Therefore, it is also disclosed that:

[0095] A cargo compartment cover 100 for a motor vehicle, comprising:

[0096] - a housing 011 having two housing ends axially opposite one another;

[0097] - an end cover 102, which is supported on the housing end so as to be axially movable;

[0098] - an outer end position of the end cap 102 , which constitutes a locking position for anchoring in a locking receptacle on the vehicle side;

[0099] a first inner end position, which forms a release position for release from a locking receptacle on the vehicle side;

[0100] - An elastic element, acting between the shell 101 and the end cover 102, which holds the end cover 102 in its locked position and enables the end cover 102 to move into a released position by overcoming the elastic force of the elastic element; wherein the end cover 102 is detachably arranged on the shell 101 and is removable in order to shorten the length measured along the longitudinal axis of the cargo compartment cover 100.

[0101] In a first embodiment, the cargo space covering 100 has a spring chamber 110 which is arranged in the housing end covered by the end cover 102 and receives a spring element in the form of a helical spring 109 .

[0102] The removable end cap 102 therefore has a supporting pin 108 which engages in the spring chamber 110 and forms a counter-bearing for the spring element on the end cap side.

[0103] Alternatively, the support pin 108 may hold the coil spring 109 such that the coil spring 109 constitutes a part of the end cap 102 , with the spring cavity 110 forming a support bearing for the coil spring 109 .

[0104] In another embodiment, the elastic element may be designed as a conical helical spring and may be arranged on the inner surface of the inner wall 107 of the end cover 102 and supported on the housing end.

[0105] The housing 101 of the cargo space covering 100 has, for example, a latching recess 112 and the end cap 102 has a latching projection 111 which engages in the latching recess 112 in order to arrange the end cap 102 on the housing 101 .

[0106] The latching projection 111 is provided with a coupling handle 106 , by means of which the engagement of the latching projection 111 with the latching recess 112 can be released in order to release the end cover 102 from the housing 101 .

[0107] Alternatively, it is conceivable to use a pressure-actuated locking pin to fix the end cap 102 on the housing 101 , in particular to hold the locking pin in its closed position or open position by means of a locking tool. Reference numerals list
