Description

Technical Field

[0001] This specification discloses a viscous fluid supply device and box. Background Technology

[0002] Conventionally, printing presses that print solder, a viscous fluid, onto a substrate using a screen mask have included a supply head that supplies solder contained in a cartridge to the screen mask (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The supply head includes: a cylindrical air supply section connected to a hole in the upper part of the cartridge to supply air; and a hollow circular clamping section that, when connected to the cartridge, is embedded in the bottom of the cartridge to fix it in place. The cartridge has a cylindrical main body (shell), a container (cup) for containing solder, and a cover member with an opening into the container and a nozzle (exhaust port) formed in the center. The cartridge uses the pressure of the air supplied from the air supply section to the main body to move the container relative to the cover member, pressing the cover member into the interior of the container, thereby discharging solder from the nozzle.

[0033] Next, the manner in which this disclosure is carried out will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0034] Figure 1 This is a three-dimensional view of printing press 10. Figure 2 This is a top view of printing press 10. Figure 3 This is a partial view of the front side of the printing press 10. Figure 4 This is a perspective view of the solder supply device 40. Figure 5 This is a partial enlarged view of the holding part 42 of the solder supply device 40. Figure 6 This is a 3D view of the box (box 60). Figures 1 to 4 In the diagram, the left and right directions are set as the X-axis, the front and back directions as the Y-axis, and the up and down directions as the Z-axis.

[0035] In this embodiment, the printing press 10 uses a squeegee 22 to press solder paste from the screen mask M into the pattern holes formed in the screen mask M, thereby printing solder paste onto the substrate S below through the pattern holes. The printing press 10 is combined with a component mounting machine that mounts electronic components onto the solder-printed substrate S to form a production line.

[0036] like Figure 1 As shown, the printing press 10 includes: a printing press body 11, a housing 12 for housing the printing press body 11, and a control device (not shown) for controlling the entire printing press. The printing press body 11 includes: a head assembly 20, a substrate conveying device 30, and a solder supply device 40, which serves as a viscous fluid supply device in this embodiment.

[0037] like Figure 3 As shown, a window 13 that can be opened and closed through a door (sliding door) 14 is provided on the front surface of the box 12.

[0038] The head assembly 20 is located in the upper section of the printing press body 11. For example... Figure 1and Figure 2 As shown, the head assembly 20 includes a head body 21 and a head moving part 26 that moves the head body 21 along the front-back direction (Y-axis direction), which is the printing direction. The head moving part 26 includes: a guide rail 28 extending along the front-back direction (Y-axis direction), a Y-axis slider 27 moving along the guide rail 28, and a slider drive part (not shown) that drives the Y-axis slider 27. The slider drive part may be, for example, a structure consisting of a ball screw mechanism and an electric motor, or a structure consisting of a linear electric motor. The head body 21 has a pair of front and rear squeegees 22 and a squeegee lifting part (not shown) that consists of, for example, a cylinder, and lifts and lowers the corresponding squeegees 22. The pair of squeegees 22 are plate-shaped members extending along the left-right direction (X-axis direction) orthogonal to the printing direction, and are tilted apart as they move towards the bottom when viewed from the left-right direction.

[0039] The substrate transport device 30 is located in the lower section of the printing press body 11. The substrate transport device 30 includes a conveyor device (not shown) that transports the substrate S via a conveyor belt.

[0040] The solder supply device 40 holds a cylindrical box 60 containing solder and supplies solder from the box 60 to the screen mask M. For example... Figure 1 As shown, the solder supply device 40 includes: a retainer 41 for holding the box 60 in a detachable manner; and a retainer moving part 46 for moving the retainer 41 in the left-right direction (X-axis direction).

[0041] The retaining member moving part 46 includes: a guide rail 47, a Y-axis slider 27 extending in the left-right direction (X-axis direction); an X-axis slider 48 that moves along the guide rail 47; and a slider driving part (not shown) that drives the X-axis slider 48. The slider driving part may be, for example, a structure consisting of a ball screw mechanism and an electric motor, or a structure consisting of a linear electric motor. The retaining member 41 moves in the front-back and left-right directions via the head moving part 26 and the retaining member moving part 46.

[0042] like Figure 4 As shown, the retainer 41 is a box-shaped component with an opening 41a on the front and a through hole 41b extending vertically through the bottom. Figure 3 As shown, the operator can open the door 14 from the front of the box 12 relative to the retainer 41 by moving the retainer 41 to the front of the window 13 of the box 12.

[0043] like Figure 4 As shown, the retaining member 41 is provided with a retaining part 42, a connected part 50, a seating sensor 54, a balance sensor 55, 56 and a reading part 57.

[0044] like Figure 4 , Figure 5As shown, a retaining part 42 is provided around the through hole 41b, positioning and holding the box 60 on the through hole 41b. In this embodiment, multiple (two) through holes 41b and retaining parts 42 are provided at the bottom of the retaining member 41 in a left-right direction, and the retaining member 41 can hold multiple (two) boxes 60. Thus, by pre-accommodating multiple boxes 60 containing different types of solder in the retaining member 41, the effort of changing the boxes 60 can be saved even when switching the type of solder supplied. Alternatively, the retaining member 41 can also hold only one box 60.

[0045] The retaining part 42 includes: a pressed part 43 located on the back side of the retaining member 41 closer to the through hole 41b; a front guide part 44 located at the bottom of the retaining member 41 and closer to the front side of the retaining member 41 closer to the through hole 41b; and side guide parts 45 located at the bottom of the retaining member 41 and on both sides of the through hole 41b. The pressed part 43 is a portion for pressing the box 60 inserted from the opening 41a of the retaining member 41 in a forward-backward direction (Y-axis direction). In this embodiment, there are two pressed parts 43, and a connecting part 50 is provided between the pressed parts 43. The front guide part 44 is formed as a ramp that rises from front to back. The side guide parts 45 are strip-shaped components extending forward and backward, guiding the box 60 from both sides. When the box 60 is inserted from the opening 41a of the retaining member 41 in a forward-backward direction, it is guided by the side guide parts 45 and pressed against the pressed part 43. Furthermore, the box 60, while being pressed against the pressed portion 43, is embedded in the step between the bottom of the retainer 41 and the end of the ramp of the front guide portion 44, thereby being positioned by the pressed portion 43, the front guide portion 44 and the side guide portion 45.

[0046] like Figure 5 As shown, the connected portion 50 includes: a locking pin 51 protruding forward; an air supply port 52 for solder supply disposed on one of the left and right sides of the locking pin 51; an air supply port 53 for solder cutting disposed on the other of the left and right sides of the locking pin 51; and a seating sensor 54 for detecting the seating of the housing 60. In this embodiment, the seating sensor 54 is configured as an optical sensor having a light-emitting portion and a light-receiving portion arranged opposite each other at a predetermined interval. Alternatively, the seating sensor 54 may also be configured as a proximity sensor or the like.

[0047] Balance sensors 55 and 56 are located on the back side of the holder 41. Balance sensors 55 and 56 are, for example, optical sensors, which detect the amount of solder remaining in the cup 61 by detecting the position of the cup containing solder. Balance sensors 55 and 56 are respectively positioned at different heights of the holder 41. In this embodiment, balance sensor 55 is positioned slightly lower than balance sensor 56, so that balance sensor 55 detects no solder remaining, and balance sensor 56 detects very little solder remaining. Alternatively, balance sensors 55 and 56 can also detect the amount of solder remaining by detecting the weight of the housing 60.

[0048] like Figure 6 As shown, the box 60 includes: a cup 61, a lid part 62, a housing 70, and a connecting part 80. The cup 61 is a bottom-opening cylindrical part that contains solder. An identification code 65 (e.g., a QR code (registered trademark), barcode, etc.) for identifying the type of solder contained is affixed to the bottom surface of the cup 61. With the box 60 installed in the retainer 41 (retainer 42), a reading part 57 for reading the identification code 65 is provided on the upper part of the retainer 41, opposite to the identification code 65 affixed to the bottom surface of the cup 61.

[0049] The cover component 62 is a circular plate-shaped component that slides in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the cup 61. A bottomed cylindrical discharge tube 63, having the same height as the cup 61 and an opening at the bottom, is connected to the lower surface of the cover component 62. A through hole 62a is formed in the center of the cover component 62, and a through hole 63a is formed in the center of the bottom surface of the discharge tube 63. The cover component 62 and the discharge tube 63 are connected to each other via the through holes 62a and 63a.

[0050] The housing 70 includes: a lower housing 71 with an opening at the top and a bottomed cylindrical shape; an upper housing 72 with an opening at the bottom and a bottomed cylindrical shape; and a connecting member 73 that connects the lower housing 71 and the upper housing 72 to each other with their openings abutting against each other. A connecting portion 80 and a counter-side portion 71c are provided on the outer peripheral surface of the lower housing 71. The counter-side portion 71c is formed with a width slightly smaller than the width between a pair of side guide portions 45, and is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the lower housing 71 at a position (phase) where it slides into contact with the side guide portions 45 when the connecting portion 80 is facing the connected portion 50. Thus, the operator can install the housing 60 (connecting portion 80) onto the retainer 41 (connected portion 50) simply by aligning the phase with the counter-side portion 71c guided by the side guide portions 45 and pressing it into the housing 60.

[0051] A through hole 71a is formed in the center of the bottom surface (lower surface) of the lower housing 71. The lower end face of the discharge cylinder 63 is fixed to the bottom surface of the lower housing 71 in a manner that communicates with the through hole 71a. Therefore, the solder in the cup 61 is discharged to the outside through the through hole 62a of the cover member 62, the discharge cylinder 63, and the through hole 71a of the lower housing 71.

[0052] The housing 70 (lower housing 71 and upper housing 72) is formed such that its inner circumferential surface has a radial gap relative to the outer circumferential surface of the cup 61 and the discharge cylinder 63. Furthermore, in this embodiment, the upper housing 72 is formed of a transparent material (e.g., acrylic or polycarbonate) so that the identification code 65 affixed to the bottom surface of the cup 61 can be read by the reading unit 57. Additionally, the upper housing 72 need only have a portion corresponding to at least the bottom surface (upper surface) of the cup 61 formed of a transparent material.

[0053] The connecting part 80 includes: a locking hole 81, a solder supply air inlet 82, a solder cutting air inlet 83, and a detection piece 84. When the connecting part 80 is facing the connected part 50, the locking hole 81, the solder supply air inlet 82, the solder cutting air inlet 83, and the detection piece 84 are respectively positioned corresponding to the locking pin 51, the solder supply air inlet 52, the solder cutting air inlet 53, and the seating sensor 54. When the connecting part 80 is connected to the connected part 50, the locking pin 51 engages with the locking hole 81, and the housing 60 is mounted (positioned) on the retaining member 41. Simultaneously, solder supply air is supplied through the solder supply air inlet 82 connected to the solder supply air inlet 52, and solder cutting air is supplied through the solder cutting air inlet 83 connected to the solder cutting air inlet 53. Furthermore, since the detection plate 84 blocks the light-emitting part and the light-receiving part of the placement sensor 54 (optical sensor), the placement sensor 54 detects that the box 60 has been placed (installed). As a result, the solder supply device 40 can supply solder from the box 60 after confirming that the box 60 has been installed.

[0054] Solder supply air is supplied from a solder supply air inlet 82 located on the side of the housing 60 (lower housing 71). Since gaps exist between the outer circumferential surfaces of the discharge cylinder 63 and cup 61 and the inner circumferential surfaces of the housing 70 (lower housing 71, upper housing 72, and connecting component 73), and between the bottom surface of cup 61 and the bottom surface of upper housing 72, solder supply air is introduced into these gaps, generating a differential pressure caused by the difference in pressure-bearing area between the open side and the bottom surface side of cup 61 (see reference). Figure 7 As a result, the cup 61 is pressed downward relative to the lid part 62 (see reference). Figure 8Furthermore, the solder inside the cup 61 is discharged to the outside sequentially through the through hole 62a, the discharge cylinder 63, and the through hole 71a. In addition, the remaining amount of solder inside the cup 61 is detected by the balance sensors 55 and 56 according to the position of the cup 61.

[0055] Solder-cutting air is supplied from a solder-cutting air inlet 83 located on the side of the housing 60 (lower housing 71). Air passages 71b and 63b for solder-cutting air are formed in the lower housing 71 and the discharge cylinder 63 fixed to the lower housing 71. Furthermore, an annular groove 63c is formed on the inner circumference of the through hole 63a of the discharge cylinder 63, which communicates with the through hole 62a of the cover member 62. Solder-cutting air passing through the air passages 71b and 63b is supplied to the annular groove 63c and released radially inward from the annular groove 63c. Thus, as... Figure 10 As shown, the solder hanging down in an icicle shape from the through hole 62a is cut off by high-pressure air. Therefore, it is possible to prevent residual solder from falling into a different location from the screen mask M after the solder is supplied from the box 60 to the screen mask M in an icicle-shaped state.

[0056] When not in use, box 60 is stored in its housing 70 on a shelf in a storage room. When in use, the operator removes box 60 from the shelf and installs it onto the solder supply device 40 (holding member 41) of the printing press 10. As described above, identification code 65 is affixed to the bottom surface of cup 61, and the upper housing 72 covering cup 61 is formed of a transparent component. Therefore, as... Figure 11 As shown, even when multiple boxes 60 are closely arranged on shelves in a storage room, the operator can easily read the identification code 65 using the barcode reader 100. Therefore, when using the box, the operator can easily locate the box 60 containing the required type of solder.

[0057] Here, the correspondence between the main elements of the embodiment and the main elements of the present disclosure as described in the claims will be explained. Specifically, the solder supply device 40 of this embodiment corresponds to the viscous fluid supply device of the present disclosure, the box 60 corresponds to the box, the connected part 50 corresponds to the mounted part, the retainer 41 corresponds to the retainer, and the solder supply air supply port 52 corresponds to the first air supply part. Furthermore, the cup 61 corresponds to the cup, the cover member 62 corresponds to the sliding member, and the lower housing 71, upper housing 72, and connecting member 73 correspond to the housing. Additionally, the solder cutting air supply port 53 corresponds to the second air supply part. Furthermore, the reading part 57 corresponds to the reading part. Additionally, the side guide part 45 corresponds to the guide part. The seating sensor 54 corresponds to the mounting detection part.

[0058] Furthermore, this disclosure is not limited to any of the above-described embodiments. It is self-evident that it can be implemented in various ways as long as it falls within the technical scope of this disclosure.

[0059] For example, in the above embodiment, the retainer 41 has a solder cutting air supply port 53 and the box 60 has a solder cutting air inlet 83, but these may be omitted.

[0060] In addition, in the above embodiment, the identification code 65 is affixed to the bottom surface of the cup 61, and the upper housing 72 is formed by a transparent component so that the identification code 65 can be read from above the housing 70. However, the identification code 65 may also be affixed to the side (outer peripheral surface) of the cup 61. Alternatively, the identification code 65 may also be affixed to the housing 70.

[0061] Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the viscous fluid supply device (solder supply device 40) supplies solder, which is a viscous fluid, to the printing press 10, and the printing press 10 prints solder onto the substrate S, which is the object. However, the viscous fluid may also be a conductive paste or adhesive, and the object may be other substrates such as three-dimensional objects.

[0062] In addition, in the above embodiment, the operator installs the box 60 onto the holder 41 of the solder supply device 40. However, the printing press 10 may also have a box storage area for storing multiple boxes 60 and an automatic changing device for automatically changing the boxes 60 between the box storage area and the holder 41. Since the box 60 can be installed onto the holder 41 simply by pressing it inward in the horizontal direction, the structure of the automatic changing device can be simplified.

[0063] As explained above, in the viscous fluid supply device of this disclosure, the box can be installed on the retainer simply by pressing it inward horizontally from the opening, and the first air supply unit can be connected to the box simultaneously. As a result, the box can be installed and removed more easily.

[0064] In this viscous fluid supply device of the present disclosure, the aforementioned box may include: a bottomed cylindrical cup containing the viscous fluid; a sliding member arranged to slide on the inner circumferential surface of the cup and having a discharge port; and a housing containing the cup and the sliding member with a gap on the inner circumferential side. The first air supply unit supplies first air from the side of the housing into the gap, and the cup is moved relative to the sliding member by a pressure difference corresponding to the difference in the pressure-bearing area between the bottom and opening sides of the cup, thereby discharging the viscous fluid from the discharge port. In this way, the device can be made more compact compared to the case where the first air is supplied from the upper surface of the housing.

[0065] In this case, the viscous fluid supply device may also include a second air supply unit located at the mounting portion. This second air supply unit supplies second air to cut off the discharge of the viscous fluid from the outlet, and a path for the second air is formed in the sliding member toward the outlet. This prevents residual viscous fluid from remaining in a hanging position and falling to a location different from the supply position after the viscous fluid has been supplied.

[0066] Alternatively, in these cases, the aforementioned viscous fluid supply device may include a reading unit for reading identification information. The identification information is provided on the bottom surface of the cup, and at least the portion of the housing corresponding to the identification information is formed of a transparent component. The reading unit is configured such that, with the box already mounted on the mounting part, the bottom surface of the cup is included within the reading range. In this way, the printing press can identify solder-related information by mounting the box on the retainer.

[0067] Alternatively, in the viscous fluid supply device disclosed herein, the retaining member may include a guide portion that guides the horizontal movement of the cartridge. This makes it easier to assemble and disassemble the cartridge.

[0068] Furthermore, in the viscous fluid supply device disclosed herein, the viscous fluid supply device may also include an installation detection unit located at the installation part, which detects whether the box has been installed at the installation part. This allows for more reliable box installation.

[0069] Alternatively, in the viscous fluid supply device disclosed herein, the retainer may be configured to accommodate multiple boxes arranged in a direction orthogonal to the horizontal direction and the box's inlet / outlet direction. In this way, by pre-accommodating multiple boxes containing different types of solder within the retainer, the hassle of changing boxes can be avoided even when switching the type of solder supplied.

[0070] In this disclosure, it is conceived as a viscous fluid supply device, but it can also be conceived as a box. In the box of this disclosure, identification information is provided on the bottom surface of the cup, and at least the portion of the housing containing the cup corresponding to the identification information is formed of a transparent component. Therefore, the identification information can be easily read from the outside of the housing using a reader.

[0071] This specification also discloses the technical ideas of changing "the viscous fluid supply device according to any one of claims 1 to 3" to "the viscous fluid supply device according to any one of claims 1 to 4" in claim 5 of the original application, changing "the viscous fluid supply device according to any one of claims 1 to 3" to "the viscous fluid supply device according to any one of claims 1 to 5" in claim 6 of the original application, and changing "the viscous fluid supply device according to any one of claims 1 to 3" to "the viscous fluid supply device according to any one of claims 1 to 6" in claim 7 of the original application.

[0072] Industrial applicability

[0073] This disclosure can be applied to industries such as the manufacturing of printing presses and viscous fluid supply devices.
