Organic-inorganic composite filling crosslinking proton exchange membrane and preparation method thereof

By coating inorganic oxides onto bacterial cellulose and forming covalent bonds through a click reaction of thiol-alkene, an organic-inorganic composite proton exchange membrane was constructed. This solved the problems of insufficient mechanical strength, high swelling, and complex preparation of existing membranes, and achieved comprehensive performance of high conductivity, strength, and stability.

Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of fuel cells and polymer composite materials, and particularly discloses an organic-inorganic composite filling cross-linked proton exchange membrane and a preparation method thereof. According to the proton exchange membrane, bacterial cellulose is used as a three-dimensional porous framework, the surface of the bacterial cellulose is coated with a silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide or zirconium dioxide inorganic oxide layer in situ, and sulfydryl active sites are introduced through a sulfydryl-containing silane coupling agent; then, under ultraviolet irradiation, sulfydryl and 2-acrylamide-2-methyl propane sulfonic acid (AMPS) are subjected to a sulfydryl-alkene click reaction, a poly PAMPS continuous network covalently crosslinked with the inorganic framework is formed, pores are filled with the poly PAMPS continuous network, and a three-in-one composite structure with the organic framework, the inorganic enhancement layer and the sulfonic group conduction phase is constructed. Compared with the existing Nafion membrane or pure PAMPS membrane, the membrane disclosed by the invention has high proton conductivity, excellent mechanical strength, low swelling property and good chemical resistance stability, and is suitable for electrochemical devices such as fuel cells, water electrolysis hydrogen production and the like.
