Abstract
This application provides a fully passively encoded quantum key distribution silicon photonic chip and a key distribution method. The quantum key distribution silicon photonic chip includes a qubit encoding and transmission module and a qubit local measurement module integrated on the same silicon photonic chip. The qubit encoding and transmission module is used to delay and interfere with incoming weakly coherent optical pulse signals and passively encode them into qubits, then transmit the qubits to the receiving end. The qubit local measurement module is used to measure the encoded quantum state parameters and record the information of the qubits transmitted to the receiving end. This invention integrates the FP-QKD encoding optical path onto the silicon photonic chip, realizing a fully passively encoded quantum key distribution chip with high integration, stable interference, and low power consumption. This fully passively encoded quantum key distribution chip uses a fully passive encoding method, avoiding the security vulnerabilities caused by electro-optic modulators.
