Abstract

This invention provides an offshore platform potential energy recovery and power generation system, comprising a seawater discharge pipe, a power generation pipe, a turbine generator set, and at least one bypass pipe. The power generation pipe and multiple bypass pipes are connected in parallel to the seawater discharge pipe, with the bypass pipes located upstream of the power generation pipe. A rupture disc is installed at the connection point between the bypass pipe and the seawater discharge pipe, or within the bypass pipe itself. The rupture disc remains intact under normal pressure but ruptures when the pressure drop rate of the discharged seawater exceeds a first preset value. Under normal operating conditions, the discharged seawater enters the power generation pipe, using gravitational potential energy to drive the turbine generator set to generate electricity. When the pressure of the discharged seawater suddenly decreases, the rupture disc ruptures, guiding the discharged seawater to the bypass pipes, preventing it from entering the power generation pipes and causing ineffective power generation or system blockage.
