1. A game apparatus that moves a prize in a game space to a prize extraction space, comprising: an operation section that accepts an operation input from a player; a game area that places the prize; a moving mechanism that has a prize gripping section that grips the prize and moves the prize gripping section in accordance with the operation input, wherein the moving mechanism is disposed in the vicinity of the game area. The moving mechanism has a driving section disposed in the vicinity of the game area; a support section that is linked to the driving section and is disposed in the vertical direction; and a movable section that moves along the support section and is disposed so as to protrude from the support section. The movable section extends in a horizontal direction orthogonal to the vertical direction and is disposed opposite the game area. The prize gripping section is configured to rotate about an axis parallel to the vertical direction. The prize gripping section is disposed at the tip of the movable section.
