Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This utility model relates to a tire having a patterned area for displaying, for example, logos or patterns, on a portion of the outer surface of the sidewall, and a tire molding die for molding such a tire. Background Technology
[0002] Conventionally, tires are known to have a patterned area consisting of a plurality of tiny protrusions on a portion of the tire sidewall (e.g., Patent Document 1). In such a patterned area, incident light is repeatedly reflected between the protrusions, resulting in light absorption. Consequently, it appears darker than the surrounding outer surface of the sidewall, thus improving contrast. By having this patterned area, the tire can, for example, achieve an improved appearance or aesthetic effect.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0026] Hereinafter, the embodiments will be described with reference to the drawings. Also, "substantially" in the present specification does not strictly determine the states thereof, but means states including approximate ones within a range capable of achieving their functions or effects.
[0027] Figure 1 is a side view of a tire 1 to which the embodiments are applied. The tire 1 is a so-called pneumatic tire in which a prescribed air pressure is filled in an inner cavity thereof. The tire 1 of the embodiments is a pneumatic tire for a passenger car such as a light car or an SUV. Also, the configuration of the tire 1 of the embodiments can be applied to a pneumatic tire for other vehicle types such as a light truck, a truck, a bus, and the like.
[0028] First, the outline of the configuration of the tire 1 relating to the side surface thereof will be described with reference to Figure 1 . Figure 1 is a side view of the tire 1 as viewed from the direction of the tire rotation axis X. Also, in the following description, the tire axial direction, the tire circumferential direction, and the tire radial direction are as follows. The tire axial direction refers to the direction in which the tire rotation axis X extends, and in Figure 1 , it is the front and back direction of the paper surface and the back surface. Also, in the case of viewing from the tire radial direction, the tire axial direction is the left and right direction, and sometimes the tire axial direction is referred to as the left and right direction. The tire circumferential direction refers to the circular arc line centered on the tire rotation axis X, and is the direction along the rotation direction of the tire 1, which is indicated by an arrow G in Figure 1 . The tire radial direction refers to the direction perpendicular to the tire rotation axis X, which is arbitrarily indicated by an arrow Y in Figure 1 .
[0029] As shown in Figure 1 , the tire 1 is provided with a bead portion 2, a side portion 3 extending in the tire radial direction from the bead portion 2 toward the outside in the tire radial direction away from the tire rotation axis X, and a tread portion 4. The bead portion 2 and the side portion 3 are each provided with one on the side of one side surface Is of the tire 1 shown in Figure 1 , and on the side of the other side surface not shown in Figure 1 , which are separated in the tire axial direction, that is, one pair of left and right sides. The tread portion 4 is disposed between the outside in the tire radial direction of the left and right side portions 3. The outer peripheral surface of the tread portion 4 includes a tread surface that contacts a road surface.
[0030] The tire 1 is configured such that various rubbers that constitute each of the bead portion 2, the side portion 3, and the tread portion 4 serve as main bodies. On the inner side of the rubber that constitutes the entire tire 1, a carcass ply that constitutes a skeleton of the tire 1 is disposed, and on the inner side of the carcass ply, an inner liner that holds air pressure is disposed. In addition, in the interior of the rubber that constitutes the tread portion 4, a circular ring-shaped reinforcing belt (the illustration of the carcass ply, the inner liner, and the reinforcing belt is omitted) is embedded. In addition, in addition to these components, various components can be provided as needed in terms of the functions of the tire 1.
[0031] As shown in Figure 1 The side portion 3 has, on the outer surface 3a thereof, a ring-shaped decoration region 5 that extends over the entire tire circumferential direction. The decoration region 5 is a region of constant width, and is sandwiched by an inner side arc line 5a on the inner side in the tire radial direction that is closer to the tire rotation axis X, and an outer side arc line 5b that is further to the outer side in the tire radial direction than the inner side arc line 5a. The inner side arc line 5a and the outer side arc line 5b can be lines formed on the outer surface 3a of the side portion 3 by concave, convex, or steps, or can be imaginary lines that do not actually exist.
[0032] The tire radial direction position of the decoration region 5 in the outer surface 3a of the side portion 3 can be a position that is further to the outer side in the tire radial direction than a position of the maximum width of the tire, or can be a position that includes the position of the maximum width of the tire. In addition, the position of the maximum width of the tire refers to a position at which the tire axial length between the outer surfaces 3a of the left and right side portions 3 is the longest.
[0033] The tire 1 has, on a portion of the outer surface 3a of the side portion 3, a pattern region 7 that is provided in a state in which it can be visually confirmed as a part that is different from the surroundings of the portion. The pattern region 7 is provided in the black rubber component that constitutes the outer surface 3a of the side portion 3, that is, the side rubber.
[0034] As shown in Figure 1 An identification portion 6A is provided on two positions of the ring-shaped decoration region 5 that are opposite each other across the tire rotation axis X. The identification portion 6A is formed by a plurality of characters arranged in the tire circumferential direction. At least one of, for example, a maker name, a product name, a brand, and the like can be displayed by the plurality of characters. Each character can be formed by being edged with a concave or convex line, or the entire character can be formed using a concave or convex. For example, each character of the identification portion 6A is provided as the pattern region 7 of the embodiment.
[0035] As shown in Figure 1As shown, in the annular decorative region 5, and at two portions sandwiched by two mark portions 6A in the circumferential direction, pattern portions 6B are provided. In the pattern portions 6B, patterns are provided in which parallelograms are curved like the annular decorative region 5. For example, each pattern of the pattern portions 6B can be provided as the pattern region 7 of the embodiment.
[0036] In addition, the shape of the pattern region 7 is not limited to these, and various shapes such as an arbitrary shape, or a shape in which a mark such as a manufacturer name, a product name, a brand, or the like is drawn, or a shape in which other numbers, characters, or the like are drawn can be cited.
[0037] Each of the pattern regions 7 of the embodiment has a reference surface 7a along the contour of the side portion 3. In the reference surface 7a, a plurality of protrusions 20 described later are formed. The pattern region 7 is a region that is provided in a state in which it can be visually confirmed as a portion that is different from the surroundings of the pattern region 7 by the plurality of protrusions 20 being formed. In addition, the reference surface 7a can be a surface that protrudes from the contour of the side portion 3 toward the outside in the tire axial direction, can be a surface that is recessed from the contour of the side portion 3 toward the inside in the tire axial direction, or can be a surface that is in the same position in the tire axial direction as the contour of the side portion 3.
[0038] Figure 2 is an example of a tire molding mold in which the tire 1 of the embodiment is subjected to vulcanization molding. Figure 2 is a meridian cross-sectional view of such a tire molding mold 10 along the axial direction of the molded tire 1.
[0039] Figure 2 The tire molding mold 10 shown has a plurality of sector pieces 11 arranged in a circumferential shape along the outer peripheral side of the tire 1, a pair of side plates 12 disposed on both sides in the axial direction of an annular body composed of the plurality of sector pieces 11, and a pair of bead rings 13. At the time of vulcanization molding, as shown by a broken line in Figure 2 inside of the tire molding mold 10 is installed: an unvulcanized tire 1a that becomes the tire 1. The assembly of the sector pieces 11, the side plates 12, and the pair of bead rings 13 is a molding mold in which the tire 1 is molded, and the outer surface of the entire tire 1 is molded by the inner surfaces of the sector pieces 11, the inner surfaces 12a of the side plates 12, and the inner surfaces 13a of the bead rings 13, that is, the inner surfaces of the molding mold. In addition, at the time of vulcanization molding, inside of the unvulcanized tire 1a is disposed: a bladder 14 that presses the unvulcanized tire 1a against the inner surfaces of the tire molding mold 10. The tread portion 4 is mainly formed by the plurality of sector pieces 11, the side portion 3 is mainly formed by the pair of side plates 12, and the bead portion 2 is mainly formed by the pair of bead rings 13. Furthermore, the entire inner surface of the tire 1 is formed by the bladder 14.
[0040] By the tire molding mold 10, the unvulcanized tire la is vulcanized to form a rubber shape of the tire 1 as a whole, and in the pattern region 7, a plurality of protrusions 20 described below are formed.
[0041] Figure 3 is a perspective view showing the plurality of protrusions 20 arranged in the pattern region 7. Figure 4 is a plan view showing the arrangement state of the plurality of protrusions 20 in the pattern region 7, and is Figure 3 a T view of FIG. 7. The plurality of protrusions 20 are arranged so as to protrude from a reference surface 7a of the pattern region 7. Figure 3 and Figure 4 is a view showing that the plurality of protrusions 20 are arranged so as to protrude from a UV development reference surface 7b when the reference surface 7a of the pattern region 7 is UV developed. The UV development reference surface 7b is a surface in which the outer surface 3a of the three-dimensional side portion 3 is developed in a two-dimensional form. The plurality of protrusions 20 are arranged in the reference surface 7a of the pattern region 7 so as to fill the entire region of the pattern region 7. The shape and the size of the plurality of protrusions 20 of the embodiment are substantially uniform.
[0042] The protrusions 20 are arranged in a plurality of rows protruding from the reference surface 7a toward the outer side in the substantially tire axial direction. As shown in Figure 4 , the protrusions 20 of the embodiment are regularly arranged in a plurality of rows. Specifically, the arrangement is such that the protrusions 20 are arranged at equal intervals (equal pitches) in close contact with each other in one row in a linear shape, and the relative positions of the adjacent rows are arranged with a half pitch offset. As shown in Figure 4 , the plurality of protrusions 20 are arranged in a linear shape in the D direction, the E direction, and the F direction in which the protrusions 20 are closest to each other in the closest arrangement.
[0043] In addition, the arrangement of the plurality of protrusions 20 is not limited to the closest arrangement, and for example, the arrangement can be a vertical and horizontal arrangement in which one row is in a linear shape and the pitches between the adjacent rows are uniform. In addition, the adjacent protrusions 20 can be arranged with a predetermined interval without being in close contact, or can be randomly arranged within a range in which a predetermined arrangement density can be maintained.
[0044] Figure 5 is a perspective view showing one protrusion 20. Figure 6 is a side view of the protrusion 20. As shown in Figure 5 and Figure 6As shown, the protrusion 20 in this embodiment has a conical shape whose cross-sectional shape decreases as it protrudes from the reference surface 7a, intersecting the protrusion direction at a right angle. This cross-sectional shape is approximately circular. Therefore, the protrusion 20 is a right cone whose central axis is approximately perpendicular to the reference surface 7a. The protrusion 20 has a conical main body 21, an end portion 23 including an annular end face 22 formed by flat cutting, and an imaginary approximately circular bottom surface 24 that is integral with and on the same plane as the reference surface 7a. The main body 21 is a conical surface inclined at a predetermined angle relative to the reference surface 7a.
[0045] like Figure 5 As shown, a hole 26 with a mortar-shaped inner surface 25 is formed at the end portion 23 of the protrusion 20. The hole 26 is formed concentrically with respect to the protrusion 20. Although the opening diameter and depth at the end face 22 of the hole 26 are not limited, from the viewpoint of light absorption effect described later, the depth of the hole 26 is preferably, for example, about half the height of the protrusion 20, or more than half. In addition, the height of the protrusion 20 refers to the shortest distance between the reference surface 7a and the end face 22. Furthermore, the direction in which the protrusion 20 protrudes from the reference surface 7a is defined as being the same as the height direction of the protrusion 20. The depth of the hole 26 refers to the distance from the end face 22 to the deepest part of the hole 26 corresponding to the height direction. In addition, the height direction of the protrusion 20 is equivalent to the rubber thickness direction of the sidewall portion 3 and the pattern area 7.
[0046] As a specific example of the dimensions of the protrusion 20, the height of the protrusion 20 is preferably, for example, 0.3 mm or more and 2.0 mm or less. The diameter of the bottom surface 24 of the protrusion 20 is preferably, for example, 0.7 mm or more and 2.0 mm or less. The outer diameter of the end surface 22 of the protrusion 20 is preferably, for example, 0.4 times or more and less than 0.95 times the diameter of the bottom surface 24 of the protrusion. The inner diameter of the end surface 22 of the protrusion 20, that is, the opening diameter of the hole 26, is preferably, for example, smaller than the outer diameter of the end surface 22 in the range of 0.2 mm or more and 0.6 mm or less. The depth of the hole 26 is preferably, for example, 0.5 times or more and 1.3 times or less the height of the protrusion 20. Alternatively, the depth of the hole 26 may exceed the height of the protrusion 20, in which case the bottom of the hole 26 is formed by a protrusion protruding from the surface of the forming reference surface 7a in the mold.
[0047] like Figure 5 as well as Figure 6 As shown, the protrusion 20 has a plurality of ridges 30 on its main body portion 21, which serves as its outer surface. The main body portion 21 of the protrusion 20 has grooves 35 between adjacent ridges 30 in the circumferential direction.
[0048] The cross-section of the protrusion 30 in this embodiment has a trapezoidal or rectangular shape, but is not limited to a rectangular shape. Multiple protrusions 30 extend along the inclined direction of the main body 21 and the protruding direction of the protrusion 20, and are arranged at equal intervals (equal spacing) in the circumferential direction relative to the main body 21. Furthermore, the inclined direction of the main body 21, as mentioned here, refers to the direction of the generatrix of the cone when the protrusion 20 is in the shape of a truncated cone (frustum) with the cone head removed. Regarding the protrusion 30, the base end 20a, which is the end on the reference surface 7a side, is connected to and integral with the reference surface 7a. On the other hand, regarding the protrusion 30, the end 20b on the side away from the reference surface 7a slightly moves away from the end face 22 of the protrusion 20 toward the base end 20a side. Regarding the multiple protrusions 30 in this embodiment, the length from the base end 20a to the end 20b is approximately the same, and the end 20b is consistent in the height direction of the protrusion 20.
[0049] Furthermore, the aforementioned ridge 30 along the protruding direction of the protrusion 20 means that the ridge 30 extends in a radial section passing through the central axis of the protrusion 20 in a manner that it exists from the base end 20a to the end end 20b.
[0050] Furthermore, the areas where the plurality of protrusions 30 are formed can be located at any position between the reference surface 7a and the end surface 22. That is, as in this embodiment, they can be formed in a region starting from the reference surface 7a but not extending to the end surface 22, in a region excluding both the reference surface 7a and the end surface, between the reference surface 7a and the end surface, or in a region starting from the end surface 22 but not extending to the reference surface 7a. Additionally, the region in the height direction of the protrusions 20 forming the plurality of protrusions 30 is preferably, for example, 30% or more in the height direction. Furthermore, the protrusions 30 can also extend to the entire height direction from the reference surface 7a to the end surface 22, that is, extend to 100%.
[0051] like Figure 5 As shown, in the protrusion 20 of this embodiment, a plurality of raised strips, i.e., a plurality of inner surface raised strips 40, are also formed on the inner surface 25 of the hole 26. The inner surface 25 of the protrusion 20 has an inner surface groove 45 between adjacent inner surface raised strips 40 in the circumferential direction.
[0052] The cross section of the inner surface ridge 40 has a trapezoidal shape or a rectangular shape, but is not limited to a rectangular shape. The plurality of inner surface ridges 40 extend in the inclined direction of the inner surface 25 and in the protruding direction of the protrusion 20, and are arranged at equal intervals in the circumferential direction with respect to the inner surface 25. In addition, the inclined direction of the inner surface 25 herein refers to the direction of the generatrix of the cone when the hole 26 is assumed to have a conical shape. The end portion on the side closer to the end surface 22, that is, the end 40b of the inner surface ridge 40 is slightly separated from the end surface 22 of the protrusion 20. The end portion of the inner surface ridge 40 on the bottom side of the hole 26 (not shown) can be located at the bottom portion or can not reach the bottom portion. In addition, the end 40b side of the inner surface ridge 40 can extend to coincide with the end surface 22. The plurality of inner surface ridges 40 of the present embodiment have approximately the same length, and the ends 40b coincide in the height direction of the protrusion 20. In addition, the plurality of inner surface ridges 40 can have different lengths.
[0053] The end surface 22 of the protrusion 20 of the present embodiment is formed in a concave-convex shape. In detail, the end surface 22 of the protrusion 20 has a plurality of concave portions 27a and convex portions 27b alternately arranged to form a concave-convex portion 27. The shapes of the concave portions 27a and the convex portions 27b of the present embodiment are generally rectangular when viewed in the side direction of the protrusion 20, but are not limited to this shape and can be, for example, a circular arc shape or a V-shaped shape. The shapes of the concave portions 27a and the convex portions 27b can be the same or different. In addition, the shapes of the plurality of concave portions 27a can all be the same or all be different. The shapes of the plurality of convex portions 27b can all be the same or all be different.
[0054] The plurality of protrusions 20 of the present embodiment arranged on the reference surface 7a can be formed by the tire molding mold 10 described above. In order to form the plurality of protrusions 20 by the tire molding mold 10, a plurality of concave portions capable of forming the plurality of protrusions 20 are formed on the tire molding surface of the side plate 12, that is, the inner surface 12a of the side plate 12. That is, the inner surface 12a of the side plate 12 includes a pattern region forming portion for forming the plurality of protrusions 20.
[0055] In this case, the method of forming the plurality of concave portions on the tire molding mold 10 is not limited, but laser processing in which a laser is irradiated on the inner surface 12a of the side plate 12 to partially remove the inner surface 12a is preferably used as the forming method. As the laser processing, for example, removal processing using a pulse fiber laser can be used, and as the conditions for the laser processing, for example, laser processing with a center wavelength of 1080 nm, an average output of 100 W or more and 300 W or less, and a laser spot diameter of about 0.05 mm is preferable.
[0056] Further, the plurality of protrusions 20 have the plurality of ridges 30 and the plurality of grooves 35 on the side of the main body portion 21, and the plurality of inner surface ridges 40 and the plurality of inner surface grooves 45 on the side of the hole 26. These can be formed by laser processing the inner surface 12a of the side plate 12 of the molding mold 10, as with the protrusions 20. That is, the concave portions and the convex portions corresponding to the plurality of ridges 30 and the plurality of grooves 35, the plurality of inner surface ridges 40 and the plurality of inner surface grooves 45 are formed in advance in the portion of the inner surface 12a of the side plate 12 where the protrusions 20 are formed, and the tire 1 is vulcanization-molded, whereby the plurality of ridges 30 and the plurality of grooves 35, the plurality of inner surface ridges 40 and the plurality of inner surface grooves 45 can be formed together with the protrusions 20.
[0057] Especially in the case where the plurality of concave portions that form the protrusions 20 or the plurality of ridges 30, the plurality of inner surface ridges 45, etc. of the embodiment are formed in the tire molding mold 10 by laser processing, they can be formed, for example, by adjusting the output of each pulse or adjusting the irradiation angle of the laser.
[0058] Further, by forming the plurality of concave portions that form the plurality of protrusions 20 in the inner surface 12a of the side plate 12 by laser processing, and by quenching the side plate 12, the durability can be improved.
[0059] As described above, in the tire 1 of the embodiment in which the plurality of protrusions 20 are arranged in the pattern region 7, when light is incident on the pattern region 7, the light is mainly incident on the reference surface 7a or the main body portion 21 of the protrusions 20, and is reflected by the surfaces thereof. The reflected light is reflected again by the surrounding protrusions 20 or the reference surface 7a, and such reflection is repeated between the plurality of protrusions 20 and between the protrusions 20 and the reference surface 7a. Accordingly, the light incident on the pattern region 7 is gradually attenuated and absorbed. When such a pattern region 7 is visually confirmed, the pattern region 7 is visually confirmed to be darker than the outer surface 3a of the side portion 3 that reflects the light around the pattern region 7.
[0060] Here, in the tire 1 of the embodiment, especially in the case where the plurality of ridges 30 are formed in the main body portion 21 of the protrusions 20. Accordingly, the light incident on the main body portion 21 is reflected on the surfaces of the ridges 30 in a manner corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of the ridges 30. Accordingly, the degree of reflection of the light increases, and the reflection of the light becomes complicated. Thus, the absorption of the light is promoted, and the black color density becomes higher, thereby realizing the high contrast of the pattern region 7.
[0061] In the tire 1 of the embodiment, at the tip portion 23 of the protrusion 20, a hole 26 having an inner surface 25 in the shape of a mortar is formed, and further, a plurality of inner surface ridges 40 are formed on the inner surface 25 of the hole 26. A part of the light incident on the pattern region 7 enters the hole 26 and is reflected by the inclined inner surface 25. The reflected light is repeatedly reflected inside the hole 26 of the reflection. The reflection of the light thus repeatedly occurs in the hole 26, and accordingly, the light reaching the hole 26 is gradually attenuated and absorbed. Further, in the tire 1 of the embodiment, since the plurality of inner surface ridges 40 are formed on the inner surface 25 of the hole 26, complex reflection of the light corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of the inner surface ridges 40 further occurs. According to this, the absorption of the light is promoted, the black color density becomes higher, and thus high contrast of the pattern region 7 is achieved. By the protrusion 20 having the hole 26 at the tip portion 23, in the case where stress is applied to the protrusion 20, the stress is dispersed, and thus deformation or damage of the protrusion 20 is difficult to occur.
[0062] In the tire 1 of the embodiment, at the tip surface 22 of the protrusion 20, a concave-convex portion 27 formed of a plurality of concave portions 27a and convex portions 27b is provided. A part of the light incident on the pattern region 7 is incident on the concave portion 27a of the tip surface 22 of the protrusion 20, or is incident on the convex portion 27b. A part of the light incident on the concave portion 27a is repeatedly reflected inside the concave portion 27a. A part of the light incident on the convex portion 27b is reflected from the convex portion 27b toward, for example, the inner surface 25 of the hole 26. In this way, the reflection of the light is complicated by the concave-convex portion 27, and accordingly, the light is gradually attenuated and absorbed. According to this, the absorption of the light is promoted, the black color density becomes higher, and thus high contrast of the pattern region 7 is achieved. By the protrusion 20 having the concave-convex portion 27 at the tip portion 23, in the case where stress is applied to the tip portion 23 of the protrusion 20, the stress is dispersed, and thus deformation or damage of the protrusion 20 is difficult to occur.
[0063] According to the above-described embodiment, the following effects can be exerted.
