Description

The present invention relates to a storage compartment cover which closes a storage compartment in a motor vehicle and has at least one hinge arm according to the preamble of claim 1.DE 198 14 215 A1 discloses a storage compartment cover of the generic type having at least one hinge arm, wherein the storage compartment cover together with the at least one hinge arm is formed in one piece.Further storage compartment covers are known from DE 10 2005 050 797 A1, DE 102 61 708 A1 and WO 2006 / 020 974 A2.Storage compartment covers from the prior art are usually embodied in multiple parts, in particular are composed of two shells. A tray pointing toward the compartment interior, to which a hinge arm is fastened, which in turn establishes a load-bearing connection to the compartment, is usually lined with a surface material inside the compartment. An outer shell of the storage compartment cover is, for example, locally connected in a materially integral manner to the inner shell and provided with a surface decoration which is adapted to a vehicle interior. However, a storage compartment cover produced in this way has a comparatively high weight. Due to the multi-part construction of the known storage compartment cover, the latter must first of all still be mounted, wherein tolerances caused by the component must be observed, both of which are comparatively cost-intensive. In addition, several tools, in particular injection molding tools, are required for producing the inner and outer shells of the multi-part storage compartment cover, which is likewise costly. A relative movement between the two shells, which may not be restricted under certain circumstances, can also have a disadvantageous effect, in particular on noise generation. Finally, the two shells must also be connected to one another with an exact fit in order to be able to avoid joints which have an optically disadvantageous effect. All in all, the storage compartment covers known from the prior art are consequently comparatively complicated, expensive and difficult to produce. The present invention is concerned with the problem of specifying an improved or at least one alternative embodiment for a storage compartment cover of the generic type, which is distinguished in particular by simplified production and a significantly reduced weight. This problem is solved according to the invention by the subject matter of the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims. The present invention is based on the general idea of no longer forming a previously known storage compartment cover for closing a storage compartment arranged in a motor vehicle in multiple parts, but in one piece, wherein the one-piece formation naturally also comprises at least one hinge arm, via which the storage compartment cover is pivotably mounted on the storage compartment. According to the invention, an upper cover edge, which is remote from the hinge, is provided with a cavity formed in a falling-tool manner and has a q- or p-shaped cross section depending on the vehicle side, wherein a joint is provided in a groove of the p- or q-shaped cross section, said joint being formed by trimming a reference of a side of the storage compartment cover which points towards the vehicle interior and trimming a storage compartment lining material, wherein the trimming edges of both surface materials meet without gaps and radii at the joint at the base of the groove, such that the joint is designed to be haptically and optically non-noticeable. Due to the one-piece design of the storage compartment cover together with the at least one hinge arm, the latter can be produced not only comparatively easily, for example by means of an injection molding tool, and thus cost-effectively, but at the same time the storage compartment cover is also reduced in cost in that a previously required mounting of two shells forming the storage compartment cover is now omitted. Due to the one-piece construction of the storage compartment cover, it can also be comparatively easily constructed in comparison with storage compartment covers known from the prior art. Additional safety means, which additionally support the cover springs, which are mainly responsible for operating comfort and which only slightly close in the event of an accident, and which achieve a cover-locking effect under the influence of crash forces (for example centrifugal locks), can consequently be dispensed with. Such securing means can be used, for example, for fixing the storage compartment cover in the event of a crash. In addition, the one-piece nature of the storage compartment cover according to the invention leads to a low torsional resistance and axial surface moment in a central region, while the edge region adjoining the hinge arm and the opposite edge region are distinguished by comparatively high torsional resistance and axial surface moments. Such a constellation protects a vehicle occupant in the event of an accident, since the one-piece nature and in particular also the single wall nature of the storage compartment cover according to the invention allows the majority of the cover surface to flex when in contact with the vehicle occupant, while the comparatively stable edge regions with tool-falling cavities prevent the storage compartment cover from breaking through or tearing through in the vertical direction. In the production of the storage compartment cover according to the invention, moreover, only a single moulding tool is required, as a result of which the tool costs can be reduced. Also, as a result of the one-piece nature of the storage compartment cover, no relative movements occur between individual parts of the cover, so that the storage compartment cover according to the invention is also not susceptible to disturbing noises under the influence of operating forces. Finally, the storage compartment cover according to the invention is also distinguished by a high tolerance stability, since tolerance-prone assembly and joining processes are dispensed with.In an advantageous development of the solution according to the invention, the storage compartment cover according to the invention is designed as a hollow profile on its edge facing and / or facing away from the at least one hinge arm. A cavity preferably formed over the entire length of a top edge of the lid and formed in a tool-falling manner has a high torque of torsion resistance and axial surface area and thereby counteracts deformations of the storage compartment lid which occur as a result of forces introduced locally at the top edge of the lid, for example when opening the storage compartment lid or as a result of a spring prestress when objects are clamped in. A cavity is likewise placed on the cover edge adjoining the at least one hinge arm, which cavity gives the force introduction point on the hinge arm a high torsional resistance and axial surface moment, wherein a notch effect can be reduced by a corresponding rounded portion in the transition from a storage compartment cover wall to a wall of the cavity formed in the falling tool. In general, the storage compartment cover according to the invention is manufactured in a tool-falling manner, integrally including the cavities and the hinge arms.In an advantageous development of the solution according to the invention, the storage compartment cover is made of plastic, in particular as a plastic injection molding.Such a configuration of the storage compartment cover as a plastic injection molded part enables a high-quality and cost-effective production of the storage compartment cover.Plastic injection molded parts furthermore have a high dimensional stability and a low weight, which is of great advantage on the one hand for the production quality and on the other hand for fuel consumption of a motor vehicle.Expediently, the storage compartment cover has a cover, in particular made of fabric or leather. The storage compartment cover according to the invention, which is usually produced from plastic, can thus be adapted flexibly to a respective interior fitting of the motor vehicle, wherein it is of course also conceivable for the storage compartment cover to be installed without any cover. When designed as a plastic injection-molded part, it is possible to choose almost freely with regard to the color of the storage compartment cover to be produced, as a result of which a high degree of flexibility can likewise be achieved. In a further advantageous embodiment of the solution according to the invention, the storage compartment cover is formed from fiber-reinforced plastic, in particular from glass fiber-reinforced or carbon fiber-reinforced plastic. Such fiber-reinforced plastics offer the possibility of making the storage compartment cover lighter, which can be used in particular in sports versions in which customers usually also pay higher prices for accessories.Further important features and advantages of the invention are evident from the dependent claims, from the drawings and from the associated description of the figures with reference to the drawings. It is understood that the features mentioned above and those still to be explained below can be used not only in the respectively specified combination, but also in other combinations or alone, without departing from the scope of the present invention.Preferred exemplary embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the drawings and are explained in more detail in the following description, wherein the same reference numerals refer to the same or similar or functionally the same components. In each case, diagrammatically show, FIG. 1 is an inner view of a motor vehicle door of a motor vehicle not otherwise shown with a storage compartment cover according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a sectional illustration along the sectional plane A-A through the storage compartment and the storage compartment cover according to the invention, FIG. 3 shows a detailed illustration in the region X, FIG. 4 shows a detailed illustration in the region Y.According to FIG. 1, a motor vehicle door 1 of a motor vehicle 2 has a storage compartment 3 (compare FIG. 2 ), which is closed by a storage compartment cover 4. The storage compartment 3 can be designed, for example, as a glove compartment, as a central console compartment or as a door compartment. The storage compartment cover 4 is pivotably mounted on the storage compartment 3 via at least one hinge arm 5, preferably via a plurality of hinge arms 5. According to the invention, the storage compartment cover 4 together with the at least one hinge arm 5 is now formed in one piece, i.e. from one piece. For this purpose, the storage compartment cover 4 can be formed, for example, from plastic, in particular as a plastic injection-molded part. It is also conceivable to form the storage compartment cover 4 according to the invention from fiber-reinforced plastic, in particular from glass fiber- or carbon fiber-reinforced plastic. In general, the storage compartment cover 4 is produced in a tool-falling manner, that is to say can be produced using series tools, and is covered by means of a covering 6, for example a fabric covering or a leather covering. Of course, the storage compartment cover 4 can also be used without cover 6.An upper cover edge 7 remote from the hinge (compare FIGS. 1-3 ) is provided with a cavity 8 formed by a tool and having a q- or p-shaped cross section depending on the vehicle side. In a preferably rectangular groove 9 (compare FIG. 3 ) of the p-shaped or q-shaped cross section, a joint 10 is provided, which is formed by trimming the trim cover 6 of a side of the storage compartment cover 4 pointing towards the vehicle interior and trimming a storage compartment lining material 11, for example felt or carpet flat material or other semi-finished textile products. Due to the fact that in the joint 10 on the base of the groove 9 the trimming edges of both surface materials meet without gaps and radii, the joint 10 is designed to be haptic and optically non-noticeable.A wall 12 of the cavity 8 formed in the case of a tool on the cover edge 7 serves as a stable and geometrically low-tolerance stop surface with respect to a trim part which forms the actual storage compartment 3. The storage compartment cover 4 is prestressed during the opening and closing process and in a rest position on account of a spring element 13 acting between the hinge arm 5 and in the storage compartment 3. The upper cover edge 7 has a high torque of torsion resistance and axial surface area due to the cavity 8 preferably formed over the entire length of the cover edge 7 and forming it in a falling tool manner and thereby counteracts deformations of the storage compartment cover 4, which are caused by forces introduced locally at the upper cover edge 7 (for example introduced manual forces during opening or due to the spring prestress of clamped objects). On a lower cover edge 14 (compare FIG. 4 ), the hinge arm 5 is also placed on the cavity 8' formed by the tool falling. The in this case d-shaped cross section of the lower cover edge 14 gives this force introduction point to the hinge arm 5 a high torsional resistance and axial surface moment, wherein the two radii R 1 and R 2 act in a notch-action-reducing manner in the transition from a cover wall to the walls of the cavity 8' formed in a falling tool. Both features ensure a high hinge stability.Due to the one-piece nature of the storage compartment cover 4 according to the invention, the latter is optimized in terms of lightweight construction, which has a particularly favorable effect on the legal accident regulations, according to which the storage compartment cover 4 must not open unintentionally in a vehicle interior in the event of an accident. Due to the comparatively light design of the storage compartment cover 4, the spring element 13 is sufficient to keep the storage compartment cover 4 reliably closed even in the event of a crash. Additional locking elements can thereby be omitted. In addition, the built-in nature of the storage compartment cover 4 according to the invention between the two cavities 8, 8' leads to a considerable flexibility, whereas the upper cover edge 7 and the lower cover edge 14 are formed comparatively stiff as a result of the cavity 8, 8' inserted therein. With the storage compartment cover 4 according to the invention, which is manufactured integrally in a tool-falling manner including the cavities 8, 8' and the hinge arms 5, in addition only a single molding of the tool is required for the manufacture of the storage compartment cover 4, whereby costs can likewise be reduced. A wall region between the upper cover edge 7 and the lower cover edge 14 can be designed flexibly, resulting in high design flexibility. Due to the one-piece nature of the storage compartment cover 4 according to the invention, no relative movements occur either, so that it is not prone to disturbing noises. The one-piece construction additionally ensures high tolerance stability, since tolerance-prone assembly and joining processes can be dispensed with.
