Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a switching device having a slide-in frame and a lockable circuit breaker.Switching devices are known from the prior art, having a plug-in frame having a number of electrical connection contacts for arrangement in a switchgear assembly, a circuit breaker having a number of electrical connection contacts, which circuit breaker can be inserted into the plug-in frame and assumes an insertion position in the inserted state, in which insertion position the electrical connection contacts of plug-in frame and circuit breaker are connected to one another, and a locking device for locking the circuit breaker in the plug-in frame, wherein the locking device has a first component which is fastened to the plug-in frame and a second component which is fastened to the circuit breaker. In switching devices of plug-in design, the circuit breaker is generally held in the associated plug-in frame in the operating position by a self-locking displacement mechanism. Since the terminals of the circuit breaker are usually arranged on one side, a current loop results when the circuit breaker is switched on. If high short-circuit currents occur, the forces of the current loop act counter to the direction of retraction and thus attempt to drive the switch out of the plug-in unit. If the locking by the displacement mechanism does not withstand the forces, the switch may possibly move out of the operating position to such an extent that the electrical connection contacts of frame and switch are separated from one another. If the contact between the switch and the frame is interrupted, an arc can be produced in the region of the strip contacts, which can lead to irreversible destruction of the switch or of the switchgear and thus to system failure. In order to hold the circuit breaker securely in the slide-in frame even in the event of a short circuit, various holding devices are known from the prior art, which are intended to serve to minimize the movement of the circuit breaker in the event of a short circuit. These holding devices are usually structurally complicated and require a comparatively large amount of installation space. Thus, for example, from the publication DE 1 291 398 A, a low-voltage switchgear assembly with running rails for extending the switch is known, wherein the running rails have latching connections in order to latch the switch in a test or maintenance position.Furthermore, the document U.S. Pat. No. 2,921,998 A discloses a locking system for a retractable switching device, which locking system has a bearing and actuating mechanism for moving the switching device from an operating position into a test position. From the publication U.S. Pat. No. 7,800,920 B2 a housing for a retractable switching device is known, which comprises on both sides a rail part fastened in the housing and in each case a rail part that is pivotably movable relative thereto. If the switching device is in its operating position, the two movable rail parts can be pivoted and latched to the housing.Furthermore, the publication DE 10 2004 059 095 A1 discloses a circuit breaker having a locking device in order to latch the circuit breaker in its plug-in frame in a short-circuit-dependent tilting position. An object of the present invention is to ensure particularly reliable locking of a circuit breaker in a plug-in frame by means of structurally simple means. This object is achieved by a switching device according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.According to the invention, the first component and the second component are designed in such a way that it is not possible for the second component to move past the first component during the insertion movement of the circuit breaker when the circuit breaker is in a straight position. The slide-in frame has guide means for guiding the circuit breaker into the slide-in position, which guide means are designed in such a way that the circuit breaker assumes, during the slide-in movement, at least temporarily, a defined tilting position which deviates from the straight position and in which the circuit breaker is tilted about an axis of rotation which runs perpendicular to the slide-in direction, during which tilting position the second component is possible to pass through the first component. And the plug-in frame comprises restoring means for restoring the circuit breaker from the tilted position into the straight position when the circuit breaker is continuously acted upon in the plug-in direction after the plug-in position has been reached, wherein after the circuit breaker has been reset, the first component and the second component are in engagement with one another in a locking position different from the plug-in position in such a way that the circuit breaker is locked in the plug-in frame.A basic idea of the invention is to design the first component and the second component of the locking device such that they are in engagement with one another for locking the circuit breaker in the plug-in frame when the circuit breaker is transferred from a tilted position in a straight position into a locking position different from the plug-in position following the attainment of the plug-in position. For this purpose, the slide-in frame has guide means and restoring means. The guide means serve for guiding the circuit breaker into the plug-in position, which allow the circuit breaker to assume a defined tilting position which differs from a straight position. In this defined tilting position, it is possible for the second component of the locking device fastened to the circuit breaker to pass through the first component of the locking device fastened to the slide-in frame. The two components of the locking device are designed in such a way that the components would be prevented from moving past one another when the circuit breaker is in a straight position. The reset means serve for re-raising the circuit breaker from the tilted position into the straight position or, in other words, for moving the circuit breaker in a locking direction different from the insertion direction. In comparison with the solutions known from the prior art, the switching device according to the invention is distinguished above all in that only the locking position of the circuit breaker, which locking position differs from the plug-in position, represents the end position of the assembly and thus the final operating position, although already in the plug-in position there is a connection between the electrical connection contacts of the plug-in frame and the circuit breaker, which connection at least partially, but at least makes possible an operation of the switching device. The locking of the circuit breaker in the plug-in frame that can be achieved in the locking position is not only particularly secure, but can also be achieved with structurally simple means. An advantage over other solutions is that the proposed locking mechanism not only limits a movement of the circuit breaker in the event of a short circuit, but excludes it from the outset. In the following, reference will be made, on the one hand, to the guide means which, among other things, effect or enable the defined tilting position of the circuit breaker, and, on the other hand, to the reset means which are responsible for resetting the circuit breaker from the tilting position into the straight position and thus for transferring the circuit breaker from the inserted position into the locking position. In one embodiment of the invention, the guide means are designed to be particularly simple in terms of construction, in that the first and / or the second component of the locking device simultaneously serves as guide means and is correspondingly designed for transferring the circuit breaker from the straight position into the tilted position. In this context, it has proven to be particularly advantageous if both components have inclined surfaces which are matched to one another in such a way that they bring about a transfer of the circuit breaker from the straight position into the tilted position, while they slide along one another when the components pass.If the circuit breaker is guided in the plug-in frame in such a way that the circuit breaker is provided with displacement elements, for example in the form of projections or the like which are attached to the outer side of the switch housing and which bear or engage in or on guide rails of the plug-in frame, the running surfaces of these guide rails are preferably designed in such a way that they have, at least in sections, a contour line which deviates from a straight line in such a way that the circuit breaker guided in the plug-in direction can be transferred from the straight position into the tilted position. The guide rails provided with such running surfaces then ensure a defined tilting or pivoting of the circuit breaker in accordance with the movement of the two components of the locking device causing the tilting movement relative to one another. In this case, the first components of the locking device can also serve as correspondingly designed guide rails. Depending on the arrangement and embodiment of the running surfaces on the one hand and the interacting components of the locking device on the other hand, it is also possible for tilting or pivoting of the circuit breaker to be caused originally by virtue of the fact that displacement elements of the circuit breaker which are independent of the second components of the locking device reach those running surface sections which have a contour line which deviates from a straight line, so that the second components are possible to pass the first components while the sliding along one another of these two components is not causative of the tilting movement, but instead merely assists the tilting movement of the circuit breaker. In such a case, driving the components along one another is also not absolutely necessary, but it may be sufficient if the circuit breaker is tilted in such a way that the second component can drive over under the first component. Touching the components is then not absolutely necessary. If the course of the contour line is responsible for the cause of the tilting of the circuit breaker, the slide-in frame is preferably arranged in the switching device in such a way that the tilting or pivoting of the slide-in frame in the switching device is effected at least partially by the force of gravity acting on the circuit breaker. The reset means for resetting the circuit breaker from the tilted position into the straight position upon continued loading of the circuit breaker in the insertion direction after reaching the insertion position are advantageously provided on the insertion frame and comprise at least one stop element. In one embodiment of the invention, an electrical connection contact of the slide-in frame serves as the stop element. If the circuit breaker is provided, for example, with a number of busbars as connection contacts and the plug-in frame comprises a number of strip blocks as connection contacts for the busbar of the circuit breaker, then the strip blocks serve as stops for limiting the plug-in movement of the circuit breaker in the plug-in direction. During the insertion movement, a frictional resistance is opposed to the circuit breaker during the establishment of the electrical connection between the busbars and the plate blocks, which frictional resistance, upon continuation of the insertion movement of the circuit breaker in the insertion direction, brings about an erecting of the circuit breaker in such a way that the circuit breaker is transferred from the tilted position back into the straight position. Depending on the design of the circuit breaker and the plug-in frame, this "soft" stop is already sufficient to ensure secure locking of the components of the locking device. In addition to this first stop element, in one embodiment of the invention, at least one second, separate stop element is provided. This is a stop element which is preferably arranged adjacent to the first component of the locking device and is designed as part of the slide-in frame and forms a stop in the slide-in direction. This stop is designed, for example, in such a way that the rear side of the circuit breaker housing strikes against it when the plug-in position is reached, wherein the circuit breaker is still in the tilted position. Upon continuation of the insertion movement of the circuit breaker in the insertion direction after reaching this insertion position, this "hard" stop then brings about an erecting of the circuit breaker into the straight position, wherein the circuit breaker travels along the stop transversely to the insertion direction. The described return of the circuit breaker from the tilted position into the straight position with the aid of one or more stop elements is based on a leverage effect in which the pivot point or pivot point is defined by the stop element or elements. The distance between, on the one hand, the stop element and, on the other hand, the point at which the means for continuing the insertion movement in the insertion direction after reaching the insertion position engage on the circuit breaker defines the length of the force arm of the lever. If, as is generally customary, the circuit breaker is moved into the plug-in frame with the aid of a crank drive, the point of application for the continued plug-in movement is located, for example, at the lower region of the circuit breaker, in particular below the center of mass of the circuit breaker, while the stop element is positioned at a distance therefrom, for example approximately in the center of the circuit breaker or else in the upper region of the circuit breaker. The components of the locking device which are brought into engagement with one another by this leverage are located in the upper region of the circuit breaker in this case.In a further embodiment of the invention, the resetting of the circuit breaker from the tilted position into the straight position is effected and / or supported by a corresponding configuration of the guide rails, for example in such a way that the running surfaces of the guide rails have non-rectilinear contour lines in such a way that the circuit breaker, upon continuation of the insertion movement of the circuit breaker in the insertion direction after reaching the insertion position, is again erected from the tilted position into the straight position. The components of the locking device are preferably designed in such a way that the second component has a hook which engages behind the first component in the locking position. In other words, the hook is designed as a rear engagement which engages in an undercut of the first component. The circuit breaker is locked in the plug-in frame during the transfer of the circuit breaker into the locking position, which simultaneously represents the operating position. In other words, the circuit breaker is locked in its operating position, so that in the event of a short circuit, a movement of the circuit breaker counter to the insertion direction is prevented. No additional movable parts are required to achieve the locking, which simplifies the structural design of the switching device. The solution described makes it possible, with structurally simple components, to change the retraction movement of the circuit breaker slightly in a small installation space available to a limited extent compared to conventional solutions in such a way that the circuit breaker reaches a reliably locked operating position. In this locking position, it is possible to control larger forces or larger short-circuit currents, wherein the switch is held securely in the plug-in. In this case, sufficient covering of the lamella block is always reliably maintained. The proposed solution also makes it possible to simply leave the locking position again in order to remove the circuit breaker from the installation frame. The above-described characteristics, features and advantages of this invention and the manner in which these are achieved become clearer and more clearly comprehensible in conjunction with the following description of the exemplary embodiments, which are explained in more detail in conjunction with the drawings. The following are shown: FIG. 1 shows a side view of an insert frame and a circuit breaker with the side wall of the insert frame removed in the disconnected position, FIG. 2 shows an enlarged detail of the side view according to FIG. 1 with a circuit breaker in the test position during the insertion process, FIG. 3 shows an enlarged detail of the side view according to FIG. 1 with a tilted circuit breaker during the insertion process, FIG. 4 shows an enlarged detail of the side view according to FIG. 1 with a circuit breaker in the plug-in position, FIG. 5 shows an enlarged detail of the side view according to FIG. 1 with a straight-line circuit breaker in the locking position (operating position). All the figures show the invention only schematically and with its essential components. Identical reference numerals correspond to elements of the same or comparable function. The switching device 1 shown comprises an insert frame 2 designed for arrangement in a switching installation (not shown) and a circuit breaker 3 which can be pushed into the insert frame. In this respect, the following description will proceed from structural elements present in pairs in the case of slide-in frame 2 or circuit breaker 3.The plug-in frame 2 has a number of electrical connection contacts, namely spring-loaded leaf contacts 4. Such an insertion position is shown in FIG. 4. The circuit breaker 3 has a number of electrical connection contacts corresponding to the number of the strip contacts 4, namely lower and upper busbars 5.The switching device 1 comprises a locking device 6 for locking the circuit breaker 3 in the plug-in frame 2, wherein the locking device 6 has first components 7 fastened on both sides to the plug-in frame 2 and correspondingly second components 8 fastened to the circuit breaker 3. The first components 7 ("slide-in frame hooks") have an undercut 9 in such a way that a correspondingly hook-shaped part 10 of the second components 8 ("switch hooks") can engage in the undercut 9 in the locking position, see FIG. 2.The first component 7 is in each case formed on the underside 11 of a functional element 12 which is attached to the inner side of the slide-in frame side wall in the upper, rear region of the slide-in frame 2. The second components 8 of the locking device 6 cooperating with the first components 7 are attached to the upper side of the circuit breaker housing 13 at the rear end of the circuit breaker 3.In FIG. 1, the left side wall of the plug-in frame, as seen in the plug-in direction 14, is removed, so that a view into the interior of the plug-in frame 2 and onto the left side of the circuit breaker 3 entering the plug-in frame 2 is possible. Some of the elements fastened to the inner side of the side wall of the slide-in frame, such as the functional element 12 and the guide rail 15 explained in more detail below, are shown in their position for better clarification of the invention. The two components 7, 8 of the locking device 6 are designed in such a way that the first component 7 is not able to pass through the second component 8 during the insertion movement of the circuit breaker 3 when the circuit breaker 3 is in a straight position. A straight position of the circuit breaker 3 is illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2.The slide-in frame 2 has guide means for guiding the circuit breaker 3 into the slide-in position. The guide means are designed in such a way that during the insertion movement the circuit breaker 3 assumes a defined tilting position, which deviates from the straight position, at least temporarily, in which the circuit breaker 3 is tilted or pivoted about an axis of rotation running perpendicular to the insertion direction 14. During this tilting position, the second component 8 of the locking device 6 is allowed to pass through the first component 7. An incipient tilting of the circuit breaker 3 is illustrated in FIG. 3. The tilting movement is symbolized by arrow 16. FIG. 4 shows the circuit breaker 3 in its end-of-tilting position. The plug-in frame 2 additionally comprises restoring means for restoring the circuit breaker 3 from the tilted position into the straight position upon continuation of the plug-in movement of the circuit breaker 3 in the plug-in direction 14 after reaching the plug-in position. After the circuit breaker 3 has been reset, the first component 7 and the second component 8 of the locking device 6 are in engagement with one another in a locking position different from the insertion position in such a way that the circuit breaker 3 is locked in the insertion frame 2. For this purpose, the second component 8 has a hook 10, which engages behind the first component 7 in the locking position. The tilting movement of the circuit breaker 3 into the locking position, in which the circuit breaker 3 is again straightened, is symbolized in FIG. 4 by arrow 17.In the exemplary embodiment depicted, the first component 7 of the locking device 6 serves at the same time as guide means and is correspondingly designed for transferring the circuit breaker 3 from the straight position into the tilted position. For this purpose, both components 7, 8 have inclined surfaces 18 which are matched to one another in such a way that they bring about a transfer of the circuit breaker 3 from the straight position into the tilted position, while they slide along one another when the components 7, 8 pass. Before reaching that point at which the tilting process is initiated by the two inclined surfaces 18 of the components 7, 8 contacting each other, the upper side 19 of the second component 8 is guided along the lower side 11 of the functional element 12. In other words, the functional element 12 serves as a guide rail and the underside 11 of the functional element 12 serves as a running surface for the second component 8 of the locking device 6 serving as a displacement element of the circuit breaker 3, so that the circuit breaker 3 is guided between two guide rails 12, 15 spaced apart from one another in a kind of slotted link at least during a section of the retraction process.Furthermore, projections 21 or other displacement elements are laterally attached to the outside 20 of the switch housing 13 for retracting the circuit breaker 3, said projections interacting with guide rails 15 of the slide-in frame 2. In the present exemplary embodiment, the projection 21 rests with its underside on a running surface 22 of a guide rail 15. The guide rails 15 are provided on the inner sides of the slide-in frame side walls on both sides of the slide-in frame 2. The running surfaces 22 are designed in such a way that they have a contour line that deviates from a straight line in sections. If tilting of the circuit breaker 3 is initiated by the inclined surfaces 18 of the components 7, 8 of the locking device 6 sliding along one another, the descending contour line of the running surface 22 deviating from a straight line at this point 30 allows the circuit breaker 3 to assume the tilting position by allowing the projection 21 or other displacement elements of the circuit breaker 3 to tilt downward to the rear. While the circuit breaker 3 is in a straight position at the beginning of the insertion process, in which the structural elements, such as housing edges, busbars 5, etc., of the circuit breaker 3 are arranged substantially parallel to the structural elements of the insertion frame 2, such as the guide rails 12, 15, see FIGS. 1 and 2, the circuit breaker 3 is transferred during the insertion movement, as described above, from its straight position into a tilted position, see FIG. 3. Remaining in this tilted position, the circuit breaker 3 is moved further in the insertion direction 14 until it reaches the insertion position, see FIG. 4. From the insertion position, the circuit breaker 3 is transferred into the locking position, see FIG. 5, in that it is brought back from the tilted position into a straight position again. Suitable restoring means are used for this purpose, which will be described in more detail below. On the slide-in frame 2 there are provided restoring means in the form of stop elements. The electrical connection contacts of the plug-in frame 2, which are designed as spring-loaded leaf contacts 4, serve in this case as "soft" stop elements for the circuit breaker 3, more precisely for the connection contacts of the circuit breaker 3 which protrude rearwardly from the housing 13 of the circuit breaker 3 in the form of busbars 5. During the retraction of the circuit breaker 3, a counterforce which acts counter to the plug-in direction 14 acts on the busbars 5 when the leaf contacts 4 are contacted, symbolized by arrow 23 in FIG. 4. This counterforce brings about an erecting of the circuit breaker 3 from the tilted position back into the straight position when the plug-in movement of the circuit breaker 3 in the plug-in direction 14 is continued. In addition to these first stop elements, second, separate stop elements are provided. This is in each case a stop element 24 arranged directly adjacent to the first component 7 of the locking device 6, which is preferably designed as part of the same functional element 12 on which the first component 7 is also integrally formed. The stop element 24 forms a stop in the insertion direction 14. When the plug-in position is reached, the rear side 25 of the housing 13 of the circuit breaker 3 abuts against these "hard" stops, wherein the circuit breaker 3 is initially still in the tilted position. When the insertion movement of the circuit breaker 3 continues in the insertion direction 14, the stops 24 bring about an erecting of the circuit breaker 3 into the straight position, wherein the circuit breaker 3 travels along the stops 24 transversely to the insertion direction 14.The resetting of the circuit breaker 3 from the tilted position into the straight position is supported by a corresponding configuration of the guide rails 15 interacting with the lateral projections 21 on the housing 13 of the circuit breaker 3 in such a way that the running surfaces 22 of these guide rails 15 have contour lines in a corresponding region 31 which are non-rectilinear, namely rising upwards in the direction of the components 7, 8 of the locking device 6, in such a way that the circuit breaker 3, upon continuation of the insertion movement of the circuit breaker 3 in the insertion direction 14, after reaching the insertion position, rises again from the tilted position into the straight position, in other words moves in a locking direction 26 different from the insertion direction 14. The locking direction 26 extends substantially perpendicular to the insertion direction 14, see FIG. 4.The insertion of the circuit breaker 3 into the slide-in frame 2 takes place with the aid of an insertion and extraction mechanism with crank drive (not shown). This travel mechanism acts on the circuit breaker 3 below the center of mass of the circuit breaker 3, namely in the lower region of the circuit breaker 3. The region in which the point of application of the displacement mechanism is located is identified in FIG. 1 by the reference numeral 27. The point of application of the travel mechanism is thus sufficiently spaced apart from those regions 28 at which the circuit breaker 3 strikes the stop elements 24 in order to form the desired leverage. The exact position of the axis of rotation 29 about which the circuit breaker 3 moves from the straight position into the tilted position and back depends, inter alia, on its specific structural design, the design of the slide-in frame 2 and the displacement mechanism. The axis of rotation is located in the rear lower region of the circuit breaker 3 and therefore the position of the axis of rotation 29 is only shown symbolically in FIG. 1.Since the crank drive or any other drive means used for this purpose serves for further acting on the circuit breaker 3 in the inserted position and thus contributes substantially to the return of the circuit breaker 3 into the straight position, it can be regarded as a return means which is not associated with the insert frame 2 and which, together with the stop elements 4, 24 provided on the insert frame 2, brings about the return. In summary, the insertion and locking of the circuit breaker 3 takes place as follows: the circuit breaker 3 is tilted by means of a link 12, 15 which is mounted on the inside of the side walls of the slide-in frame during the insertion into the slide-in frame 2. As a result, the two switch hooks 8 mounted on the rear of the upper side 19 of the circuit breaker 3 can travel along two slide-in frame hooks 7 mounted on the inside of the slide-in frame side walls. The hooks 7, 8 can touch each other or the switch hooks 8 can only pass under the slide-in frame hooks 7. Once the switch hooks 8 have passed the slide-in frame hooks 7, the circuit breaker 3 is again straightened in the slide-in frame 2 by the retraction movement of the circuit breaker 3 being driven further in the lower region, so that the rear upper edge with the switch hooks 8 moves upwards and thus generates the undercut. The undercut which results on both sides from the hooks 7, 8 locks the circuit breaker 3 in the plug-in frame 2. During the process of extension, the circuit breaker 3 first tilts again from the straight position into the tilted position. While maintaining the tilted position, the circuit breaker 3 can subsequently be moved back out of the slide-in frame 2 counter to the insertion direction 14, wherein the switch hooks 8 can pass under the slide-in frame hooks 7.Although the invention has been illustrated and described in more detail by the preferred exemplary embodiment, the invention is not restricted to the disclosed examples and other variations can be derived therefrom by the person skilled in the art without departing from the scope of protection of the invention. For example, the invention is not limited to switching devices 1 in which the busbars are assigned to the circuit breaker 3 and the strip contacts are assigned to the plug-in frame 2. The circuit breaker 3 could likewise be provided with strip contacts and the plug-in frame 2 could be provided with the corresponding busbars.
