Description

[0001] The invention relates to a bar grating according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] Such a bar grating is used, for example, as a cover for a drainage channel, where it is placed on one edge of the channel. Retaining elements are used as spacers on the one hand and to connect the individual bars to each other on the other hand, one of which is positioned between each of the longitudinal bars. A bar grating designed in this way is disclosed, for example, in DE 43 08 840 A1.

[0003] The known retaining elements are connected to each other and / or to the individual longitudinal bars by screwing or locking. However, this design requires considerable manufacturing and assembly effort.

[0004] Since the longitudinal bars must be connected to each other at a number of consecutive points, depending on the length of the bar grating, a correspondingly large number of retaining elements are required, which is naturally only possible at considerable expense. This is also due to special processing of the longitudinal bars, such as the insertion of threaded holes, which means that the conventional bar grating does not meet the requirements for optimized production and assembly.

[0005] It should not go unmentioned that the holding elements are very elaborately designed in order to ensure the intended function.

[0006] Other bar gratings are manufactured by welding the longitudinal and transverse bars together, which is naturally only possible with a correspondingly large manufacturing effort.

[0007] From DE 27 34 044 A1 a grating is known with intersecting bars formed from equally wide sheet metal strips, each of which has slots with noses and grooves formed in their opposite walls, which engage in a form-fitting manner in matching features of the intersecting bar.

[0008] A grating is also discussed in DE 17 99 424 U, where the intersecting bars, also made of sheet metal strips, are positively connected to each other.

[0009] Finally, DE 20 2004 007 816 U1 discloses a bar grating with longitudinal bars and cross bars arranged parallel and spaced from one another for connecting the longitudinal bars to one another, wherein pins are guided through the cross bars and pass through holes in the longitudinal bars.

[0010] Finally, bar gratings of a different type are known from US 4760680 A and DE 10 2006 000 862 A1.

[0011] The invention is based on the object of further developing a bar grating of the generic type in such a way that it has a very simple construction and can be manufactured with little manufacturing and assembly effort.

[0012] This object is achieved by a bar grating having the features of claim 1.

[0013] The new bar grating is particularly distinguished by its exceptionally simple production. The cross bar, which, unlike the state of the art, connects the adjacent longitudinal bars as a single component, can be made of steel or light metal and manufactured by punching and bending in a single operation.

[0014] The longitudinal bars are also manufactured in this sense.

[0015] The crossbars and the longitudinal bars are connected to each other by a positive locking mechanism, for which corresponding locking elements are molded onto both the crossbars and the longitudinal bars. These are also produced by stamping on the longitudinal bars, just as they are on the crossbars.

[0016] These locking means can be designed as harpoon-like projections on the longitudinal bars, which engage in adapted slots in the transverse bars and engage behind them in a form-fitting manner.

[0017] According to a further idea of the invention, each cross bar is U-shaped in cross section, with the two opposite legs being slightly inclined outwards, while the web connecting the legs forms the support for the longitudinal bars.

[0018] The two legs each have recesses on the edges into which the projections of the longitudinal bars fit in a form-fitting manner.

[0019] It should be emphasized that these snap-in connections are designed in such a way that, on the one hand, they can be made without significant expenditure of force and, on the other hand, they cannot be easily removed, at least not without the aid of tools, and possibly not even without causing damage.

[0020] The two lateral longitudinal bars, which essentially form the outer edge of the grating, can be joined to the cross bars in a material-to-material manner, preferably by welding, to ensure a flush finish. It is also conceivable to have the cross bars project beyond the outer longitudinal bars on both sides and use the overhanging areas as supports for support in a groove of a gutter for which the grating serves as a cover.

[0021] Furthermore, the longitudinal bars are designed as rectangular strips in cross-section, which are connected upright to the cross bars.

[0022] Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

[0023] Embodiments of the invention are described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0024] They show: Fig. 1 a bar grating according to the invention in a perspective view Fig. 2 the bar grate in a front view Fig. 3 a longitudinal bar in a side view Fig. 4 a partial section of the bar grating, seen in the direction of the line IV-IV in Fig. 2 Fig. 5 a development of a cross bar in a top view Fig. 6 the functionally formed cross bar in a side view Fig. 7 another embodiment of the bar grating in assembled position in a front view.

[0025] In the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, as well as in the Fig. Figure 7 shows a bar grating with several parallel and spaced-apart longitudinal bars 1, which are connected to each other by retaining elements. These retaining elements each consist of a one-piece cross bar 2 to which the longitudinal bars 1 are attached.

[0026] In the examples, the longitudinal bars 1 are locked to the transverse bars 2, which also run parallel and spaced from each other, for which purpose interlocking locking means are provided.

[0027] These consist of molded locking lugs 3, which are harpoon-shaped and are pressed into slots 6 of the crossbar 2 and engage behind their boundary wall. This is particularly important in the Fig. 4 can be seen very clearly.

[0028] It can also be seen that each locking lug 3 is arranged at the bottom of a U-shaped recess, against the wall of which the inserted cross bar 2 rests.

[0029] The opposite wall legs of the recess have a projection 4 which projects into a receptacle 5 of the transverse bar 2, so that the longitudinal bar 1 is securely held both by the locking lug 3 in correspondence with the slot 6 and by the projections 4 in correspondence with the receptacles 5.

[0030] As particularly in the Fig. 4, the cross bar 2 ends approximately at the lower edge of the longitudinal bar 1.

[0031] In the Fig. 5 and Fig. 6 such a cross bar 2 is shown as a detail, where the Fig. 5 shows the development of the cross bar after punching, while the Fig. 6 shows the cross bar 2 ready for assembly, i.e. after bending.

[0032] At the end, the cross bar 2 has projections 7 on which the two outer longitudinal bars 1, which form quasi end bars, rest and are preferably welded to the cross bar 2.

[0033] In the Fig. 6 it can be seen that the two opposite legs of the U-shaped cross bar 2 are slightly inclined outwards, whereby the locking with the projections 4 is achieved.

[0034] Just like the longitudinal bars 1, the cross bars 2 are also made as stamped parts from sheet metal, whereby the cross bars 2 are bent into a U-shape for completion, as mentioned.

[0035] The Fig. 1 shows a bar grating in which the two outer longitudinal bars form a flush finish with the cross bars 2. In contrast, in the Fig. 7 shows a variant in which the use of the two outer longitudinal bars is omitted, so that the cross bars 2 project on both sides and serve to support a groove 8 with a fold 9, which is covered with the bar grating.
