Description

[0001] The invention relates to a torque transmission device, in particular for the drive train of a motor vehicle.

[0002] Such torque transmission devices are known, for example, as friction clutches with a clutch cover, a clutch pressure plate, and a diaphragm spring as the loading element. The diaphragm spring is accommodated under preload between the clutch cover and the clutch pressure plate, with a release bearing provided to actuate the diaphragm spring. The release bearing is either located on the transmission side in the transmission bell housing and centered on the transmission, or it is connected to the clutch cover. In this case, the release bearing must also be centered on the clutch cover, which facilitates assembly and reduces imbalance during clutch operation. DE 10 2011 104 416 A1 discloses a torque transmission device comprising a bayonet connection.

[0003] It is the object of the invention to provide a torque transmission device which is simply constructed and allows a simple but centered arrangement of the release bearing on the clutch cover.

[0004] The object of the invention is solved with the features of claim 1.

[0005] One embodiment of the invention relates to a torque transmission device comprising a clutch cover, a clutch pressure plate, and a loading element for loading the clutch pressure plate to adjust the torque transmittable by the torque transmission device. A release device is provided for loading the loading element, which is connected to the clutch cover by means of a holding and centering element and centered on the clutch cover. Thus, the release device is attached to the clutch cover by means of a holding and centering element and simultaneously centered. This reduces the number of parts and simultaneously reduces imbalance during operation.

[0006] It is particularly advantageous if the holding and centering element is a cup-shaped element that rests radially on the outside of the clutch cover and engages radially on the inside of a bearing of the release mechanism. This allows the release mechanism to be securely held radially on the inside by the bearing, while simultaneously centering can be achieved via the radially outside support of the holding and centering element on the clutch cover.

[0007] It is advantageous if the holding and centering element has a radially inner, I-shaped, circumferential shoulder into which a collar of the release device bearing engages. This allows the bearing to be held in a defined radial position.

[0008] According to the invention, the clutch cover has a means that interacts with the holding and centering element. This allows the clutch cover to be easily configured to center the clutch release device.

[0009] According to the invention, the means is at least one projection or a plurality of projections that protrude from the clutch cover in the axial direction. These projections can be machined from the material of the clutch cover or, alternatively, joined to it. Thus, one projection or a plurality of projections can be stamped out of the clutch cover. One projection or a plurality of projections can also be provided that are connected to the clutch cover as separate components. This allows for an advantageous shape to be achieved.

[0010] Furthermore, it is expedient if the means is at least an annular projection that protrudes axially from the clutch cover. This allows the release device to be inserted into the ring without special consideration of its position.

[0011] In this case, the cup-shaped holding and centering element rests radially on the outside of at least one projection. This allows radial support on a projection to be provided to effect centering.

[0012] Alternatively, the means is at least one recess or a plurality of recesses formed in the clutch cover. These recesses can, for example, be formed as an embossed portion in the clutch cover, which is particularly easy to manufacture.

[0013] It is particularly advantageous if the recess is a groove in the clutch cover.

[0014] It is also particularly advantageous if the cup-shaped holding and centering element engages radially outward into the at least one recess. It is particularly advantageous if the recess or groove extends in the axial direction and the radially outer end region of the holding and centering element extends in the axial direction and engages the recess or groove. This achieves radial centering.

[0015] The present invention is explained in more detail below using preferred embodiments in conjunction with the accompanying figures:

[0016] Showing: Fig. 1 is a schematic view of an embodiment of a torque transmission device, and Fig. 2 a schematic view of another embodiment of a torque transmission device.

[0017] The Fig. 1 shows a torque transmission device 1 with a clutch cover 2, with an axially displaceable clutch pressure plate 3, and with a loading element 4, which is arranged axially between the clutch cover 2 and the clutch pressure plate 3. The loading element 4 is designed as a disc spring and has a radially outer force edge 5, against which the clutch pressure plate 3 is supported radially outwardly and against which a spring 6 is supported in interposition between the disc spring of the loading element 4 and the clutch cover 2.

[0018] Radially inward, the disc spring of the loading element 4 has tongues 7, which serve to actuate the loading element 4. For this purpose, a release device 8 is provided, which has an axially displaceable release bearing 9, so that an axial displacement of the release bearing 9 acts on and displaces the tongues 7, so that the force edge 5 tilts at least slightly and determines the torque to be transmitted by the torque transmission device 1.

[0019] The release device 8 comprises a piston-cylinder unit 10, which can be pressurized with pressure medium to axially displace the release bearing 9. For this purpose, the bearing groove ring 11 is connected to the piston 12 of the piston-cylinder unit 10. The bearing outer ring 13 is in contact with the tongues 7.

[0020] For coupling to the clutch cover 2, a bearing 14 is provided, which is supported with its bearing inner ring 15 on the piston-cylinder unit 10, wherein the bearing outer ring 16 is supported on a holding and centering element 17 and is received by these.

[0021] The holding and centering element 17 is designed as a pot-shaped element and has a central opening 18 with a radially aligned flange 19, through which the bearing outer ring 16 of the bearing 14 passes. The bearing outer ring 16 has an L-shaped projection 20, which supports the radially aligned flange 19.

[0022] On the radial outside, the holding and centering element 17 has a flange 21 extending in the radial direction. A projection 22 is formed on the clutch cover 2 and projects in the axial direction. The radially aligned flange 21 rests radially inward on the projection 22 and thus centers the clutch release device 8.

[0023] The projection 22 can be formed as a single projection, which, for example, extends in a ring-shaped or partially ring-shaped manner. Alternatively, a plurality of projections can be provided, distributed over the circumference of the clutch cover 2 to serve as a stop for the holding and centering element 17.

[0024] The at least one projection can be applied to the clutch cover as an additional component and connected, for example, by welding. Alternatively, the projection(s) can be machined from the material of the clutch cover, for example, by embossing.

[0025] The Fig. Figure 2 shows a further embodiment of a torque transmission device 51 with a clutch cover 52, with an axially displaceable clutch pressure plate 53, and with a loading element 54, which is arranged axially between the clutch cover 52 and the clutch pressure plate 53. The loading element 54 is designed as a disc spring and has a radially outer force edge 55, against which the clutch pressure plate 53 is supported radially outwardly and against which a spring 56 is supported in interposition between the disc spring of the loading element 54 and the clutch cover 52.

[0026] Radially inward, the disc spring of the loading element 54 has tongues 57, which serve to actuate the loading element 54. For this purpose, a release device 58 is provided, which has an axially displaceable release bearing 59, so that an axial displacement of the release bearing 59 acts on and displaces the tongues 57, so that the force edge 55 tilts at least slightly and determines the torque to be transmitted by the torque transmission device 51.

[0027] As an alternative to the disc spring as the loading element 4, 54, at least one lever can also be provided which causes the engagement or disengagement of the torque transmission device.

[0028] The release device 58 is designed such that it comprises a piston-cylinder unit 60, which can be pressurized with pressure medium to axially displace the release bearing 59. For this purpose, the bearing groove ring 61 is connected to the piston 62 of the piston-cylinder unit 60. The bearing outer ring 63 is in contact with the tongues 57 and acts upon them when the piston 62 is displaced.

[0029] For coupling to the clutch cover 52, a bearing 64 is provided, which is supported with its bearing inner ring 65 on the piston-cylinder unit 60, wherein the bearing outer ring 66 is supported on a holding and centering element 67 and is received by these.

[0030] The holding and centering element 67 is designed as a pot-shaped element and has a central opening 68 with a radially aligned flange 69, through which the bearing outer ring 66 of the bearing 64 passes. The bearing outer ring 66 has an L-shaped projection 70, which supports the radially aligned flange 69.

[0031] On the radial outside, the holding and centering element 67 has a flange 71 extending in the axial direction. A recess 72 is provided on the clutch cover 52, which extends essentially in the axial direction. The axially aligned flange 71 engages in this recess 72 and thus centers the release device 68.

[0032] The recess 72 can be formed as a single recess, which, for example, extends in a ring-shaped or partially ring-shaped manner. Alternatively, a plurality of recesses can be provided, distributed over the circumference of the clutch cover 52.

[0033] Preferably, the at least one recess 72 is introduced into the clutch cover 52, for example by embossing.
