High-frequency electrodeless fluorescent lamp

An electrodeless fluorescent lamp and fixture which operates at the frequency range of 50-1000 KHz and power from 20 to 200 W is disclosed. The lamp includes a bulbous envelope (1) filled with rare gas and metal vapor and a reentrant cavity (5). The inner walls of the envelope are coated with phosphor (2) and a protective coating (3). An induction coil (9), made from multiple strands of wire having very low resistance at frequencies below 1000 KHz, together with a ferrite core (10), having high permeability and low power losses, generates an inductively-coupled plasma in the envelope volume. The plasma generates visible and UV radiation that is converted into visible light by the phosphor coated on the envelope walls. A metallic cylinder (13), placed inside the ferrite core (10), removes the heat generated by the plasma from the coil and ferrite core and redirects the heat to the lamp base and thence to the lamp fixture. The power efficiency of the lamp operated at frequencies 200-300 KHz and its efficacy are the same as those in electrodeless RF lamps operated at frequencies of 2.65 MHz and at 13.56 MHz.

The invention relates to a jagged annular needleless static spinning device and an application method thereof. The device comprises a liquid supply system and a nanofiber collection system. The liquid supply system is in the structure of a communicating vessel composed of a liquid storage bottle and a jagged annular needleless sprayer. The jagged annular needleless sprayer is in the gap structure composed of an outer annular liquid groove and an inner annular liquid groove. The center of the bottom of the outer annular liquid groove is provided with a metal pipe. The center of the bottom of the liquid storage bottle is connected with one end of a liquid guide pipe, the other end of which is connected with the metal pipe. The liquid guide pipe is provided with a switch. By turning off the switch on the liquid guide pipe, a proper amount of polymer solutions is added into the liquid storage bottle. By turning on the switch, polymer solutions flow into the annular gap formed by the jagged outer annular liquid groove and the inner annular liquid groove. By adjusting the height of the liquid storage bottle, polymer solutions can overflow the annular gap. By turning on a motor, a metal cylinder is guaranteed to normally rotate at the certain speed. By turing on a high-voltage power supply, voltage is slowly increased. The jagged annular needleless static spinning device and the application method thereof help to achieve automatic supply of solutions to the sprayer and operation is performed conveniently.

The rotor could be made as a multi-sectional unit. The disks could be made integral with a magnet in such a manner that they serve as magnet's poles. It becomes possible to reduce the radial size of the device. A plate-like shape of the disks makes it possible to optimize the size of the device depending on the magnet and stator used, required power and the size of a device, in which this electric drive is supposed to be mounted.

A stirling cycle engine whose cylinder, including a mount, can be easily fabricated and securely attached. The stirling cycle engine of the invention comprises a casing having a cylindrical portion 2; a metallic cylinder 7 coaxially inserted into the cylindrical portion 2 of the casing 1; a piston 15 inserted into the cylinder 7; a drive mechanism 16 for reciprocally driving the piston 15; and a mount 28 which is attached to an outer periphery of the cylinder 7 for fixing the cylinder 7 to the casing 1 and retaining the drive mechanism 16. The mount 28 is made of a material of low heat conductance, constructed separately from the cylinder 7. The mount 28 is attached to the outer periphery of the cylinder 7. Thus, the easier working thereof is resulted, so that the working time is shortened, to thereby improve productivity, and reduce working costs. Further, The heat from the drive mechanism 16 is less likely to transfer to the cylinder 7 via the mount 28.

Magnetic rotary die

A rotary cutting die which is mountable on a metal cylinder. The rotary cutting die includes a rotary die plate having a concave, inner surface which is magnetically attractable and magnetically mountable on a metal cylinder. A cutting blade is mounted on a concave, outer surface of the die plate. Connectors may be engaged with the cutting blade and the die plate. A plurality of magnetic elements, such as neodymium magnets, are in the rotary die plate. The magnetic elements make the inner surface of they die plate magnetically attractable to the metal cylinder, thereby providing that the rotary cutting die is mountable on the metal cylinder without having to use screws, clamps or other mechanical holding devices. To prevent creep of the cutting die during operation, a magnetic member, such as a rubber magnet, may be magnetically mounted on the die cylinder, against the die plate.

According to the multi-purpose solid propeller disclosed by the invention, each inner electrode isconnected with the outer electrode to form a control circuit, and each circuit is controlled to open and close, so that ignition, combustion and flameout of each electric-control solid propellant unit are controlled. Voltages at the two ends of each inner electrode and the outer electrode are controlled, so that a combustion rate of each propellant unit is controlled, and therefore, in each working pulse, propelling force of the propeller is adjustable.
