Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a wardrobe of flat, board-like shape consisting of a base plate with several fold-out hanging hooks attached thereto and separated from one another by spacer elements.
[0002] Cloakrooms are used in many places, be it in the entrance areas of houses, apartments, or other spaces. They are often designed and shaped to suit the location. The limited space available on site also plays a role. The smaller the space, the more compact the cloakroom. Various solutions are known, for example, where the cloakrooms consist of boards with protruding hanging hooks. These can be a safety hazard.
[0003] US Patent 4,901,866 shows a solution in which the hanging hooks are designed to be foldable. The coat rack can be mounted at a suitable location on a wall. It has a flat, board-like shape and consists of a base plate and several foldable folding hooks attached to it. The space between the folding hooks is filled with spacer segments. The spacer segments can be provided with decorative patterns, painted pictures, or photographs on their visible sides. Replaceable individual pictures and the like cannot be attached. The folding hooks are obviously moved by hand, since automatic retraction is not provided. This patent specification is considered the closest prior art to the present patent application.
[0004] The following copies also belong to the general state of the art: EP 2 305 516 shows a coat rack in which the folding hooks are held in a folded position by springs. The folding hooks are inserted into a housing and form a more or less flat surface with the housing. It is unfortunate that the spacers do not always harmonize with the room furnishings. In the upper and lower parts of the openings for the folding hooks in the housing there are holding supports which hold the folding hooks in the closed or open position. The folding hooks are held in place by a spring mechanism in the upper part and on a pivot bearing in the lower part. This coat rack does not have any special features on the housing.
[0005] In the publication KR 101 565 145 B1, the coat rack consists of a frame 10, 11 that can be hung using retaining rings 13. Holes 12 are drilled centrally in the frame sides, which do not penetrate the frame. Connectors 30 are inserted into the holes 12, into which hanging pins 40 are screwed with screw parts 41. Such a coat rack is complex to manufacture and has the disadvantage that the hanging pins 40 extend into the corridor and are therefore not entirely safe for people. Furthermore, the pictures that the frame is intended to hold are difficult to insert and replace.
[0006] The utility model DE 20 20212 011 779 U1 has individual bodies 1, which have a self-closing folding hook for all types of furniture, which close automatically without the weight of a piece of clothing or the like. The representation is rudimentary. Fig. 1, the axis 3 is located in the lower part of the body 1. In the Fig. In Figure 2, axis 3 is located in the center of body 1. A stop position for the suspension 4 is not visible here. Furthermore, this is a single piece that can be mounted on any wall, whereas a coat rack consists of several parts and is therefore intended for the entrance of a house. There is also no possibility of hanging pictures on body 1.
[0007] The device according to DE 295 11 969 U1 is designed to hold individual pictures or the like. It consists of a profiled frame 3 and a rear wall 2 made of a solid plate. The rear wall 2 has a groove 5 for holding a picture, optionally with a pane. The rear wall 2 has holes 6 for attaching the device to a wall. Pictures or the like can be inserted into the groove 5. For this purpose, the upper frame 3d is interchangeably attached to the side frame parts 3a and 3c via the holes 7. This device has the disadvantage that it must be screwed firmly to the wall, which makes changing pictures difficult. Furthermore, this device has no connection whatsoever with coat racks for hanging clothes or the like.
[0008] The present invention is based on the prior art as contained in US Patent 4,901,866. Its objective is to create a coat rack that is as simple as possible in its technical design, can be easily adapted to the individual needs of the room user(s), and offers a heightened decorative effect. The folding hooks are to be able to be folded in and held in this position by torsion springs.
[0009] The solution to the problem is achieved in the coat rack in that the coat rack has a flat, board-like shape and consists of a base plate and several fold-out folding hooks attached to it, separated from one another by spacers, which are held in the folded position by torsion springs, wherein at least one of the spacers is designed as a picture frame and the side strips of the picture frames have threaded holes for receiving axle pins which serve as holders and pivot axes for the folding hooks and the folding hooks have holes for the axle pins, the pivot axes are located centrally on the base plate and that cover pieces are inserted into the spaces between the spacers below the folding hooks.
[0010] These measures eliminate the monotony of conventional wardrobes. The pictures that can be inserted into the picture frames express the individuality of the user. This can be done in many different ways. For example, the user can identify one or more folding hooks with one or more photos. This can be the case for children in the home, as well as in kindergartens and retirement homes, hospitals, and nursing homes. These applications are supported by the fact that the picture frames are designed to fit the common dimensions of standard photographs, e.g., 10 x 15 cm. It is also possible to attach company logos, advertising images, and the like.
[0011] In a simple version of the wardrobe, the picture frame is designed as a plug-in frame, consisting of two side rails and a bottom rail, forming a rigid unit to which the top cover rail is attached, which can be removed for inserting pictures. It is also possible to attach the cover rail in a hinged manner.
[0012] A reinforced version of the picture frame is achieved by integrally connecting the side rails and the bottom rail of the frame to a back panel. These rails and the back panel then form a rigid unit, to which the top cover rail can be attached in a removable or foldable manner. A screw connection is also possible.
[0013] The picture frames are attached to the base plate using screws. Threaded holes are provided in the backs of the picture frames for this purpose.
[0014] The pivoting movements of the folding hooks are controlled by pivot pins screwed into the side rails of the picture frames. The pivot pins also secure the folding hooks to the picture frames.
[0015] Another way to attach the folding hooks to the coat rack is to provide the base plate with guide rails in the areas of the individual spacers, whose dimensions correspond to the guide grooves in the spacers. In the areas of the individual folding hooks, the base plate then has swivel joints consisting of axle attachments supported by supports, onto which the folding hooks are pushed from the side. The folding hooks have round grooves whose radii correspond to the radii of the axle attachments.
[0016] The swivel joints and guide rails are located approximately centrally on the base plate. They face in the same direction, allowing the spacers and folding hooks to be slid onto them. Once the spacers have reached their intended location, the spacers are screwed to the base plate, thereby securing the folding hooks in place.
[0017] Cover pieces are inserted into the spaces below the folding hooks and are also screwed to the base plate. The surface of the folding hooks is flat and flush with the surface of the coat rack. For both manufacturing and aesthetic reasons, it is best if the spacers, the folding hooks, and the cover pieces are made of the same material, e.g., metal. Anodized aluminum or aluminum composite is preferred.
[0018] The innovation is explained in more detail below using two examples:
[0019] It shows Fig. 1 the wardrobe in the oblique view from the top right 1a, in section through a folding hook 1b and in side view of a folding hook 1c; Fig. 2 a spacer element 4 in the oblique view 2a, in the top view 2b, in the side view 2c and in the front view 2d; Fig. 3 a cover strip in the oblique view 3a, in the top view 3b, in the cross section 3c and in the front view 3d; Fig. 4 a folding hook in the oblique view 4a, in the top view 4b and in the side view 4c; Fig. 5 a cover piece in the oblique view 5a, from the side 5b and from the underside 5c; Fig. 6 a base plate 6 in plan view of the inside 6a, in side view 6b, from the front side 6c and on the back 6d; Fig. 7 a variant of the wardrobe in an oblique view; Fig. 8 a spacer element of a wardrobe according to Fig. 7; Fig. 9 a cover strip of the wardrobe according to Fig. 7; Fig. 10 a folding hook of a wardrobe Fig. 7; Fig. 11 the base plate for the wardrobe according to Fig. 7 and Fig. 12 a swivel joint for the execution according to Fig. 7.
[0020] The Fig. The coat rack 1 shown in Figure 1 has a base plate 2 on which five folding hooks 3 and six spacers 4 are arranged. The spacers 4 enclose the folding hooks 3 on each side. In the illustration, three folding hooks 3 are unfolded. The folding hooks 3 extend in their length over part of the coat rack. Cover pieces 5 are inserted beneath the folding hooks 3 so as not to interrupt the surface of the coat rack 1. The spacers 4 are designed as picture frames 6.
[0021] The picture frames 6 have the side rails 7, the bottom rail 8, and the removable cover rail 9. The removable cover rails 9 on the picture frames 6 allow for easy replacement of the pictures. The first picture frame 6 is omitted in the drawing to virtually visualize the arrangement of the rotation axes 14 on the folding hooks 3.
[0022] In the sectional views 1b and 1c, the folding hooks 3 with the cover pieces 5 are shown enlarged. 1b shows a section through a folding hook 3 and the cover piece 5. The latter is attached to the base plate 2 via screws 15. Each folding hook 3 is held laterally by axle pins 12 mounted in the side rails 7 of the adjacent picture frames 6. The folding hooks 3 have holes 43 for this purpose.
[0023] In the Fig. 2 shows a picture frame 6. The picture frame 6 has a stable back wall 20, on which the side strips 7 and the bottom strip 8 are provided with the holding grooves 27 and 28 for holding a picture and, if required, with a cover glass. The back wall 20 and the strips 7 and 8 form a unit. At its upper end, the picture frame 6 is closed off by a cover strip 9. The cover strip 9 is attached by screwing it via the threaded hole 22 in the back wall 20. Two further threaded holes 23 are provided for attaching the picture frame 6 to the base plate 2. The threaded holes 13 accommodate the axle pins 12 when the individual parts of the coat rack 1 are joined together. One leg of a torsion spring is inserted into the longitudinal groove 33 in the back wall 20, the other leg of which engages a barb 30 on the folding hook 3.
[0024] Fig. 3 shows the cover strip 9 with the hole 24 for fastening with a screw to the rear wall 20. The cover strip 9 closes the retaining grooves 27 on the side strips 17.
[0025] In the Fig. 4 shows a folding hook 3. It has a holding part 40 for items of clothing, etc., and a bearing part 41 for the pivot bearing. The bearing part 41 contains a bore 43 for receiving the axle pins 12. Furthermore, the bearing part 41 has a stop 42, which limits the rotational movement of the folded-out folding hook 3. The stop 42 also forms the barb 30 for the second leg of the torsion spring.
[0026] Fig. 5 shows the design of a cover piece 5 with the threaded holes 44 for fastening to the base plate 2.
[0027] The base plate 2 is in the Fig. 6. It consists of a rectangular sheet metal with drill holes 45 for countersunk screws for fastening the spacer elements 4 or picture frame 6 and the cover pieces 5. The drill holes 45 correspond to the threaded holes 23 on the picture frame 6 and the threaded holes 44 on the cover pieces 5. In addition, the base plate 2 has the openings 21 for hanging the coat rack 1 on corresponding brackets on a wall.
[0028] The Fig. Figure 7 shows a variant of the wardrobe 1 in an oblique view. In the embodiment according to Fig. 1 that are identical to the parts in the variant are designated with the same reference numbers. Non-identical parts are given their own reference numbers. The modified coat rack 1 also consists of the base plate 52, which forms the back of the coat rack 1. The base plate 52 has openings 21 for head screws attached to a house wall. The folding hooks 53 are attached to the base plate 52. These are separated by picture frames 56 and / or spacer elements 54. The folding hooks 53 with cover pieces 5 and the picture frames 56 or any spacer elements 54 are each of the same height. The frames 56 or elements 54 attached to the ends of the coat rack 1 are comparable to the picture frames 56 or spacer elements 54 located between the folding hooks 53.
[0029] The folding hooks 53 extend vertically over an upper portion of the wardrobe 1, and the portion below is filled with cover pieces 5. The folding hooks 53 are held in a folded position by torsion springs. For hanging items of clothing and the like, they are folded forward by hand and then protrude slightly diagonally upward. After the items of clothing are removed, they are folded back in by the springs.
[0030] In the example shown, all spacer elements 54 are designed as picture frames 56. This makes it possible to fill the wardrobe 1 with pictures. If necessary, individual picture frames 56 can also be filled with screens, depending on the user's taste. To facilitate the exchange of pictures, the picture frames 56 are designed as insert frames.
[0031] Fig. Figure 8 shows a spacer element 54 configured as a picture frame 56. The picture frame 56 shown in this embodiment has a particularly durable design in that the side rails 57 and the lower rails 58 are each connected to a rear wall 60 as a single unit. After the picture has been inserted, the upper cover rail 59, which also has a retaining groove 29 for the pictures, is screwed to this rear wall 60. On their inner sides 17 and 18, the rails 57 and 58 have retaining grooves 27 and 28 for the pictures to be inserted with or without a cover glass. It is advantageous to use an anti-reflective picture frame glass as the cover glass.
[0032] Guide grooves 34 are provided in the rear walls 60 of the picture frames 56 or spacer elements 54. These serve to position the picture frames 56 or spacer elements 54 on the base plate 52. The base plate 52 is provided with guide rails 32 at the appropriate locations for this purpose. Each picture frame 56 or spacer element 54 is screwed to the base plate 52 after being pushed onto its assigned guide rail 32. Another smaller longitudinal groove 33 in the picture frame 56 or spacer element 54 serves to accommodate one leg of a torsion spring, the other leg of which engages the barb 30 of the folding hook 53.
[0033] The formation of a cover strip 59 is the Fig. 9. This cover strip 59 is particularly sturdy and also features a retaining groove 29 for the picture and cover glass. Three holes 24 with recesses for countersunk screws are provided for attaching the cover strip 59 to the rear wall 60 of the picture frame 56.
[0034] The Fig. 10 shows a folding hook 53. This has a holding part 40 and a bearing part 41. The latter has a round groove 39 for the axle attachment 38 and a protruding stop 42 to limit the rotational movement of the folding hook 53. The cover pieces 5 are located below the folding hooks 53. They take up the entire free space below the folding hooks 53 and are screwed to the base plate 52.
[0035] In the Fig. 11 shows the base plate 52. Deviating from the Fig.7, it is designed for six picture frames 56. On its inner side 46, the base plate 52 has guide rails 32 in the areas 31 for the picture frames 56. The picture frames 56 are slid onto them. Supports 37 for the pivot joints of the folding hooks 53 are attached in the areas 35 for the individual folding hooks 53. The pivot joints consist of axle attachments 38, which are screwed to the supports 37 and have radii that correspond to the radii of the round grooves 39 of the folding hooks 53.
[0036] For cost-effective production, the hinged hooks 3, 53 and the picture frames 6, 56 or spacers 4, 54 are made of the same material. A particularly good visual effect is achieved by using metal, preferably anodized aluminum or an aluminum compound.
