Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a mounting arrangement for a clamping device with at least one clamping unit in the side support of a tracked ship of tracked undercarriages in large machines.
[0002] In large machines, such as mining excavators, the undercarriage typically comprises two tracked undercarriages, one on each side. The undercarriage features a robust frame (side supports designed as structural components) in which, besides road wheels and support rollers and a drive sprocket, at least one idler wheel with at least one tensioning device for the track is arranged. The drive power is transmitted to the drive sprocket. The tensioning device maintains the desired tension on the track via the idler wheel, thus ensuring proper movement of the track. In the event of impact loads or if objects become entangled in the undercarriage, the idler wheel yields against the tensioning device.
[0003] Clamping systems are known from the prior art in which the clamping device has one or two parallel clamping cylinders as clamping elements. These cylinders usually engage a clamping fork mounted in the frame, which acts on a sliding block that transmits the relative movements of the guide wheel when force is applied. The clamping unit can be a hydraulic clamping cylinder, a mechanical clamping unit, or a compression spring.
[0004] While these tensioning systems have proven their worth, they suffer from the disadvantage that, for installation during replacement, repair, or maintenance of the tensioning unit, it must be laboriously removed from the corresponding track carriage of the tracked undercarriage. Currently, the tensioning units are pulled out of the track carriage side supports in the installation direction and along the track's direction of travel. Especially with large machines, such tensioning units are very heavy, so replacing them under operating conditions involves considerable logistical effort to ensure that the tensioning unit can be removed safely and quickly from a track carriage side support.
[0005] This leads to a significant increase in time expenditure, which in turn impacts operating hours and thus negatively affects the profitability of such large machines. Downtime should be kept to a minimum to maintain a positive cost-benefit ratio. CA 2 661 427 A1 therefore proposes changing the clamping unit via an upper outer surface of the side support.
[0006] Based on this, one object of the present invention is to provide a mounting arrangement for a clamping device with at least one clamping unit in the tracked chassis of large machines, which can overcome the aforementioned disadvantages. In particular, the mounting arrangement is intended to improve the servicing capabilities of such equipped large machines by service teams and to reduce the risk of accidents during assembly work when handling the clamping units.

[0008] The assembly arrangement according to the invention is characterized in that a mounting opening is arranged in the side support of the tracked ship on its outer sides in the installation area of the clamping unit, through which the clamping unit can be removed from the side support in its installed position and transversely to the direction of track travel.
[0009] The mounting opening is designed to be sealed with a dust- and water-repellent cover. The cover itself is robust and durable enough to withstand the rigors of daily use. The cover can be made of a correspondingly solid steel plate.

[0014] The extension unit can be designed to adapt to the shape and size (circumference) of the clamping unit. For this purpose, the extension unit can be equipped with retaining devices that lock the clamping unit against the extension unit, preventing it from unintentionally falling off.

[1] Mounting arrangement (10) for a clamping device with at least one clamping unit (12b) in the side support (12) of a tracked undercarriage of tracked undercarriages in large machines, wherein the clamping unit (12b) is arranged in a side support compartment (12a) in the side support (12) of the tracked undercarriage and a mounting opening (13) is arranged on the outside of the side support (12) in the installation area (11) of the clamping unit (12b), through which the clamping unit (12b) can be removed from the side support compartment (12a) in an installation position transverse to the track direction, characterized by , that the mounting opening (13) can be closed with a cover (14) in a dust- and water-repellent manner, wherein the cover (14) has a first profile designed as an undercut on its longitudinal sides (14a) which can be brought into a form-fitting operative connection with a corresponding second profile on the longitudinal sides (13a) of the mounting opening (13).
