Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to an assembly device for mounting window elements on a motor vehicle component. Another aspect of the invention relates to a method for mounting window elements on a motor vehicle component using an assembly device.
[0002] When assembling motor vehicle components, which can be designed as high-voltage storage modules, for example, disc elements are often used which are placed or pushed onto the respective assembly points of the motor vehicle component. Automating the positioning of the disc elements on such motor vehicle components is particularly complex, so the disc elements are often placed on the motor vehicle components manually. If a person assembling the disc elements counts the wrong number of disc elements when manually equipping the motor vehicle component with the disc elements and takes them to the assembly location, it is sometimes necessary during manual assembly to leave the assembly location (e.g. a workbench) several times to fetch additional disc elements or to replace excess disc elements. In addition to this additional time expenditure, this person is required to have the utmost concentration and attention, since when manually assembling the window elements it is necessary to ensure, at least visually, that all assembly points on the motor vehicle component that are to be fitted are actually provided with a respective window element.
[0003] DE 89 04 269 U1 discloses a repeating dispenser with a housing for locking washers, which are pressed and thus held in one direction. Using a slider, individual locking washers are removed from the stack transversely to the printing direction and made available via a washer transport tube. They are accelerated in this second direction by a spring element (coil spring).
[0004] The object of the present invention is to provide an assembly device and a method of the type mentioned at the outset by means of which the assembly of pane elements can be carried out with particularly little effort.
[0005] This object is achieved according to the invention by an assembly device having the features of patent claim 1 and by a method having the features of patent claim 11. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
[0006] A first aspect of the invention relates to an assembly device for mounting disc elements on a motor vehicle component. The assembly device comprises a housing having a housing interior for storing a disc element stack composed of the disc elements. Furthermore, the assembly device comprises an actuating element which is mounted on the housing and can be displaced from a rest position into a separating position by exerting an actuating force on the actuating element. By means of the actuating element, a disc element to be separated can be removed from the disc element stack in a direction different from a stacking direction of the disc element stack and can thus be moved into a separating position. This is advantageous because a plurality of disc elements are stored in the housing interior, and the disc element to be separated can be spaced (removed) from the disc element stack (from the remaining disc elements of the disc element stack) by means of the actuating element, thus separating it. This allows both the transport of multiple disc elements and the particularly controlled removal of disc elements to be separated one after the other from the housing interior, thus making the assembly of the disc elements particularly easy.
[0007] The motor vehicle component can be designed, for example, as a high-voltage storage module, as a frame element or as a body element, to name just a few examples.
[0008] The direction different from the stacking direction of the disc element stack can preferably be oriented perpendicular to the stacking direction. This advantageously allows for disc element separation with particularly low kinematic effort, i.e., using particularly few and simply constructed components of the assembly device. The stacking direction of the disc element stack can simultaneously correspond to a main extension direction of the assembly device. In other words, the stacking direction can coincide with the main extension direction.
[0009] The actuating element can preferably be designed as a slider, by means of which the respective disc element to be separated can be moved into the separation position. This allows the actuating element mounted on the housing to be displaced relative to the housing when an operator exerts the actuating force, enabling particularly simple disc element separation.
[0010] The actuating element can preferably comprise, for example, an L-profile with a short, first element region and a second element region arranged at an angle to the first element region and longer than the first element region. The operator can apply the actuating force, for example, with a finger on the first element region and thereby move the actuating element from the rest position to the separating position. The actuating element can be mounted on the housing by means of its second element region. If the actuating element comprises the described L-profile, the actuating element is, on the one hand, particularly simple and lightweight and, on the other hand, can be moved relative to the housing with little effort.
[0011] In general, the actuating element can preferably have a wall thickness oriented in the stacking direction that is smaller than the element height of the respective disc elements. This allows for particularly reliable disc separation, especially since it can prevent the actuating element from simultaneously pressing or acting on several superimposed disc elements of the element stack when the actuating force is exerted on the actuating element.
[0012] According to the invention, the assembly device comprises a spring element by means of which the disc element to be separated can be clamped in the separating position. This is advantageous because the spring element can thereby hold the disc element to be separated at a particularly secure distance from the disc element stack.
[0013] The spring element is thus designed to hold the disc element to be separated with a clamping force, wherein the clamping force can be smaller than an assembly force acting on the disc element to be separated during assembly of the disc element to be separated between the disc element to be separated and the motor vehicle component. The assembly force can act, for example, through a frictional connection, a positive connection and additionally or alternatively a material connection between the motor vehicle component and the disc element to be separated during its assembly. In other words, the clamping force of the spring element holding the disc element to be separated in the separating position can be overcome under the action of the assembly force and as a result the disc element to be separated can be released from the separating position and mounted on the motor vehicle component.
[0014] For example, a material bond can be created by an adhesive layer between the window element to be separated and the motor vehicle component. The motor vehicle component can accordingly be wetted with the adhesive layer in certain areas at an assembly point, for example on a pin element of the motor vehicle component, and the assembly device can be moved to the assembly point by the operator. The window element to be separated can then be brought into contact with the adhesive layer, whereby the window element to be separated is held to the motor vehicle component by the adhesive layer using the assembly force. By subsequently spacing the assembly device away from the assembly point, i.e. moving it away from the assembly point, the clamping force holding the spring element in the separating position can be overcome by the assembly force and the window element to be separated can be released from the spring element.
[0015] In an advantageous development of the invention, the actuating element is displaceable in a direction different from the stacking direction of the disc element stack and can thereby be moved from the rest position into the singling position. This is advantageous because both the disc element to be singulated and the actuating element can be displaced in the same direction (different from the stacking direction of the disc element). This allows the actuating element, for example, to act directly on the disc element to be singulated. This enables particularly low-effort disc element singulation, for example without additional coupling elements between the actuating element and the disc element to be singulated. For example, the actuating force can be transferred directly from the actuating element to the disc element to be singulated, thereby moving the disc element to be singulated into the singling position.
[0016] The actuating force can generally be transmitted to the disc element to be separated by means of the actuating element on a disc element periphery. This enables particularly simple and reliable disc element separation without accidentally separating several of the disc elements simultaneously.
[0017] In a further advantageous development of the invention, the spring element is designed to clamp the disc element to be separated, at least in part along its circumference, in the separating position. This is advantageous because, on the one hand, the disc element to be separated is held particularly securely in the separating position, while, at the same time, a central region of the disc element to be separated can be accessible for assembly on the motor vehicle component. This allows, for example, a pin element of the motor vehicle component to be easily inserted into a disc opening of the disc element to be separated for assembly, even if the disc element is still in the separating position.
[0018] In a further advantageous development of the invention, the assembly device comprises a recess into which a pin element of the motor vehicle component can be inserted, wherein a window opening of the window element to be separated can be arranged in the separating position in at least partial overlap with the recess. This is advantageous because it allows the pin element to be inserted into the window opening of the window element to be separated while the latter can still be held on the assembly device in the separating position. This can particularly effectively prevent the window element to be separated from falling during assembly.
[0019] The recess can be designed, for example, as a bore, preferably as a centering bore. This enables particularly precise positioning and alignment of the disc element to be separated during its assembly on the automotive component.
[0020] In the case of partial overlap, the recess and the disc opening can preferably be aligned at least substantially coaxially with each other. This facilitates the passage of the pin element through the disc opening and the insertion of the pin element into the recess.
[0021] In a further advantageous development of the invention, the assembly device comprises a closure element that can be releasably fixed to the housing, by means of which the housing interior can be closed at least partially. This is advantageous because the closure element can prevent the disc element stack from accidentally falling out of the housing interior. Furthermore, the closure element can be removed to insert additional disc elements into the housing interior, for example, to refill a new disc element stack.
[0022] In a further advantageous development of the invention, the assembly device comprises a preload spring for exerting a compressive force on the disc element stack and a pressure element for applying the compressive force to the disc element stack, wherein the pressure element can be supported against the closure element by means of the preload spring. This is advantageous because it allows disc element separation to be carried out particularly reliably. By exerting the compressive force on the disc element stack, the latter can also be adjusted in the stacking direction, for example during disc element separation, so that a particularly defined displacement of the disc element stack is ensured even during the removal (separation) of individual disc elements. The pressure element can also be referred to as a pressure piece.
[0023] A particular advantage is that the application of the compressive force also prevents any gravitational influences on the stack of disc elements, which could complicate the separation of the disc elements. Such gravitational influences can occur, for example, during overhead work, where the assembly device may be turned over. The compressive force thus enables reliable separation of disc elements even during such overhead work, regardless of the orientation of the assembly device.
[0024] In a further advantageous development of the invention, the disc element stack can be subjected to compressive force in the stacking direction by means of the preloading spring. This is advantageous because it enables direct adjustment of the disc element stack with particularly little effort when individual disc elements are removed from the disc element stack. The compressive force can press the individual disc elements of the disc element stack against one another in the stacking direction. This can prevent, for example, lateral slippage of the individual disc elements of the disc element stack even if the assembly device is subjected to unintentional impact forces, for example as a result of the assembly device being dropped.
[0025] In a further advantageous development of the invention, the assembly device comprises a return spring by means of which the actuating element can be displaced from the separating position to the rest position. This is advantageous because it can significantly accelerate the assembly of the disc elements. For example, the operator can manually exert the actuating force on the actuating element in order to move it from its rest position to the separating position and thereby move the disc element to be separated into the separating position. In this case, the return spring can initially be compressed and thus tensioned. If the actuating force is subsequently removed, for example when the operator releases the actuating element, the return spring can relax and thereby move the actuating element back to the rest position. This eliminates the need for time-consuming, manual relocation and thus resetting of the actuating element from the separation position to the rest position.
[0026] In a further advantageous development of the invention, the assembly device comprises a guide element on which the stack of disc elements can be supported and on which the disc element to be separated can be guided during its movement into the separating position. This is advantageous because the disc element stack is held in the housing interior by being supported by the guide element, and a guided and thus precise movement of the disc element to be separated into the separating position is also possible by means of the guide element. The guide element thus has a particularly high level of functionality.
[0027] The guide element can, for example, be designed as a cover element.
[0028] Preferably, the guide element can have a U-shaped cross-section and partially enclose the housing. This effectively prevents the disc element to be separated from falling out sideways and simultaneously ensures particularly precise guidance during the movement of the disc element to be separated into the separating position.
[0029] In a further advantageous development of the invention, the actuating element is held captively by the guide element, and the actuating element can be guided by the guide element during its displacement between the rest position and the separation position. This is advantageous because the guide element not only supports the stack of disc elements but also enables the guided displacement of the actuating element. The guide element can thus fulfill numerous functions overall.
[0030] A second aspect of the invention relates to a method for assembling disc elements on a motor vehicle component by means of an assembly device which comprises a housing with a housing interior for storing a disc element stack from the disc elements and an actuating element which is mounted on the housing and which is displaced from a rest position into a separating position by exerting an actuating force on the actuating element, whereby by means of the actuating element a disc element to be separated is removed from the disc element stack in a direction different from a stacking direction of the disc element stack and thereby moved into a separating position.
[0031] The features presented in connection with the assembly device according to the invention and their advantages apply accordingly to the method according to the invention and vice versa.
[0032] Further features of the invention emerge from the claims, the figures, and the description of the figures. The features and combinations of features mentioned above in the description, as well as the features and combinations of features mentioned below in the description of the figures and / or shown alone in the figures, can be used not only in the respective specified combination, but also in other combinations or on their own.
[0033] The invention will now be explained in more detail using a preferred embodiment and with reference to the drawings. They show: Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an exemplary embodiment of a mounting device in which a guide element is removed from a housing of the mounting device; Fig. 2 shows a further perspective view of the mounting device, wherein the guide element is mounted on the housing; Fig. 3 a sectional view of the mounting device, wherein an actuating element of the mounting device is in a rest position; Fig. 4 shows a further sectional view of the assembly device, wherein the actuating element is in a separating position and thereby a disc element to be separated from a disc element stack accommodated in a housing interior of the housing is displaced into a separating position; and Fig. 5 is a plan view of a motor vehicle component having a plurality of pin elements to which the disc elements can be mounted.
[0034] In the figures, identical and functionally identical elements are provided with the same reference symbols.
[0035] The Fig. 1 to Fig. 4 each show different representations of a mounting device 1 for mounting disc elements 12, 13 on a motor vehicle component 20. The mounting device 1 can also be referred to as a disc pin, by means of which the disc elements 12, 13 can be mounted by an operator. The mounting device 1 comprises a handle 23, by which the mounting device 1 can be held by the operator. The motor vehicle component 20 is designed, for example, as a high-voltage storage module and at least partially in Fig. 5 shown.
[0036] The assembly device 1 comprises a housing 7, which comprises a housing interior 8 for storing a disk element stack 14 comprising the disk elements 12, 13. The disk element stack 14 is particularly in the Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 can be recognized.
[0037] Furthermore, the mounting device 1 comprises an actuating element 4, which is mounted on the housing 7 and by exerting a, in this case only in Fig. 4, the actuating element 4 can be moved from a rest position 9 to a separation position 10 by applying an actuating force F, indicated by an arrow. The actuating element 4 can also be referred to as a slide.
[0038] In the present case, the actuating element 4 comprises an L-profile with a short, first element region 24 and a second element region 25 arranged at an angle to the first element region 24 and longer than the first element region 24. The operator can apply the actuating force F, for example with a finger, to the first element region 24 and thereby move the actuating element 4 from the rest position 9 into the separating position 10. Fig. 3 shows the actuating element 4 in its rest position 9, whereas Fig. 4 shows the actuating element in its separation position 10. In Fig. 4, the actuating element 4 is therefore in contrast to Fig. 3 pressed by the operator.
[0039] By moving from the rest position 9 into the separating position 10, a disc element 13 to be separated can be removed from the disc element stack 14 in a direction Y that is different from a stacking direction X of the disc element stack 14 by means of the actuating element 4 and thereby moved into a separating position 11, as can be seen from the synopsis of Fig. 3 and Fig. 4. The direction Y is oriented perpendicular to the stacking direction X.
[0040] The actuating element 4 is displaceable in its mounting on the housing 7 in the direction Y and can be moved from the rest position 9 ( Fig. 3) into the separation position 10 ( Fig. 4). In order to move the actuating element 4 from the separating position 10 to the rest position 9, the mounting device 1 comprises a return spring 18.
[0041] To support the stack of disc elements 14, the assembly device 1 comprises a guide element 5 by means of which the disc element 13 to be separated can also be guided during its movement into the separating position 11, as can be seen from the overview of Fig. 3 and Fig. 4. The guide element 5 can be designed, for example, as a cover element and have a U-shaped cross section, as in Fig. 2 is indicated.
[0042] The actuating element 4 is held captively on the housing 7 by means of the guide element 5. Furthermore, the actuating element 4 can be guided by the guide element 5 during its displacement between the rest position 9 and the separation position 10.
[0043] The assembly device 1 further comprises a spring element 6, by means of which the disc element 13 to be separated can be clamped in the separating position 11. The spring element 6 can also be referred to as a retaining spring.
[0044] The spring element 6 can generally have, at least in some areas, a ring-segment-shaped cross-section, by means of which the disc element 13 to be separated can be clamped at least in some areas on its circumference in the separating position 11, as can be seen from Fig. 1. Due to the ring-segment-shaped cross-section, the disc element 13 to be separated can, on the one hand, be held particularly securely in its separating position 11 and, on the other hand, is easily accessible for assembly on the motor vehicle component 20.
[0045] The assembly device 1 further comprises a recess 16 in the housing 7, into which a pin element 21 of the motor vehicle component 20 can be inserted, wherein a disc opening 15 of the disc element 13 to be separated can be arranged in the separating position 11 in at least partial overlap with the recess 16. As a result, the presently only Fig. 5 can be easily inserted into both the disc opening 15 and the recess 16 during assembly.
[0046] The mounting device 1 also comprises a closure element 2 that can be releasably fixed to the housing 7 and by means of which the housing interior 8 can be closed at least partially. The closure element 2 can be designed as a closure pin and can be releasably coupled to the housing 7 via a bayonet lock 22. With the closure element 2 removed, further disc elements 12, 13 or a new disc element stack can be inserted into the housing interior 8 and the mounting device 1 can be filled accordingly. The closure element 2 can, for example, have a pin that can be inserted and locked in an L-shaped groove of the housing, for example, as shown by way of example in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 is shown.
[0047] The assembly device 1 also comprises a preload spring 17 for exerting a compressive force F_d on the disk element stack 14, as well as a pressure element 3, which is in contact with the disk element stack 14 and is used to apply the compressive force F_d to the disk element stack 14, wherein the pressure element 3 can be supported against the closure element 2 by means of the preload spring 17. The pressure element 3, which can also be referred to as a pressure piece, is guided by a guide pin 19 and can be displaced within the housing interior 8. In the present embodiment, the disk element stack 14 is also threaded onto the guide pin 19. Accordingly, the guide pin 19 is inserted into the respective disk openings 15 of the (not yet separated) disk elements 12, 13.
[0048] The disc element stack 14 can be subjected to the compressive force F_d in the stacking direction X by means of the pretensioning spring 17, as can be seen from the Fig. 3 and Fig.4.
[0049] The functionality of the assembly device 1 is briefly summarized below: The housing interior 8 of the mounting device 1 can be opened by removing the closure element 2 (closure pin), the preload spring 17, the guide pin 19 and the pressure element 3 (pressure piece) and filled with the disc element stack 14, i.e. with the respective disc elements 12, 13 up to a visual mark not shown here, whereby the disc element stack 14 is accordingly inserted into the housing interior 8. Subsequently, the closure element 2 is reassembled together with the preload spring 17, the guide pin 19 and the pressure element 3 and arranged on the housing interior 8, whereby the closure element 2 can be locked to the housing 7 via the bayonet lock 22.
[0050] By pressing the actuating element 4 (slider), i.e., by exerting the actuating force F, the disc element 13 to be separated is pushed into the spring element 6 (retaining spring) by means of the actuating element 4 and held in place circumferentially by the spring element 6. The disc element 13 to be separated is then in its separating position 11. Subsequently, the mounting device 1 can be inserted onto the pin element 21 at the recess 16 and pressed downwards so that the pin element 21 can be inserted into the disc opening 15 of the disc element 13 to be separated and into the recess 16. By subsequently lifting the mounting device 1, the disc element 13 to be separated is pulled out of the spring element 6 and is now in its desired position on the pin element 21.
[0051] By releasing the actuating element 4, it is moved back from the separating position 10 to the rest position 9 by means of the return spring 18. In order to press the next disc element 12 into the spring element 6 and thus move it into the separating position 11, the actuating force F is then applied again to the actuating element 4.
[0052] The present assembly device 1 significantly simplifies the assembly of the disc elements 12, 13, which serve, for example, to fix cooling elements in the motor vehicle component 20 configured, for example, as a high-voltage storage device. Instead of picking up the disc elements 12, 13 individually by hand and pushing them onto the provided counterparts (pin elements 21, which can also be referred to as pins), the assembly device 1 enables significantly less complex assembly. This saves assembly time and eliminates the need for manual counting of the individual disc elements 12, 13. Accordingly, additional trips, for example to a workbench or a parts warehouse, can be at least largely avoided, since the risk of providing the wrong quantity of disc elements 12, 13 can be eliminated.
[0053] With the aid of the assembly device 1 including its housing interior 8, which serves as a disc magazine for the disc elements 12, 13 designed, for example, as plastic discs, it is possible for the operator to mount the disc elements 12, 13 to be installed during the assembly of the motor vehicle component 20 on the pin elements 21 (pins) provided for this purpose at a much higher speed and in an ergonomic manner.
[0054] The recess 16, which can also be referred to as a cutout or omission, can be specifically adapted to the design of the motor vehicle component 20 or its pin elements 21, so that the positioning of the disc elements 12, 13 to be used is determined by the design, thus enabling precise assembly.
[0055] The mounting device 1 can be placed by the operator on the respective protruding pin element 21 at the recess 16. The respective pin elements 21 can, for example, have barbs, thereby holding the mounted disc elements 12, 13 in place with a positive fit using an assembly force.
[0056] In summary, with the aid of spring pressure mechanisms, additional disc elements 12 can be loaded into the spring element 6, which can also be referred to as a pin ejection, by exerting the actuating force F on the actuating element 4. This enables the assembly of the additional disc elements 12 individually. The housing interior 8 can be filled with the exact required quantity of disc elements 12, 13 before assembly, allowing the operator to completely equip the motor vehicle component 12 with the disc elements 12, 13 at its pin elements 21 without intermediate refilling.
[0057] A stack size of the disc element stack 14 can be varied and adapted to different motor vehicle components 20 as required.
