Description

[0001] The invention relates to a means of transport for rescuing persons according to the preamble of the first claim.

[0002] Rigid stretchers are most commonly used for rescuing, transporting, or evacuating people. They consist of a frame and a fabric covering for transporting a person lying down. Stretchers come in various designs, some being made from a single piece and others being collapsible.

[0003] Both public buildings, such as government offices, and private properties, such as office complexes, banks, and hotels, as well as other places where relatively large numbers of people congregate in close proximity, are legally required to implement preventative measures for emergency rescue. Nevertheless, the equipment in such buildings is often inadequate. Apart from hospitals and senior living facilities, the provision of such first-aid supplies in the event of an emergency is generally insufficient. Valuable time, which can cost lives, is often lost before professional rescue teams with their own equipment arrive.

[0004] Furthermore, existing stretchers have a number of disadvantages. Apart from the time it takes to transport a stretcher from storage to a hazardous location, they are often unavailable or in practice in a dilapidated state.

[0005] DE 100 19 035 A1 describes a rescue lying mattress with straps attached to its long sides, which make it possible to fix the person lying on the mattress.

[0006] In DE 10 2005 055 368 A1 a rescue mattress is also described which has straps for fixing the person lying on it, as well as carrying and pulling loops.

[0007] Carrying / rescue sheets for transporting persons are known from DE 10 2006 032 863 A1, DE 200 23 065 U1 and DE 203 14 303 U1.

[0008] Furthermore, the publication DE 20 2012 004 518 U1 describes a rescue and evacuation sheet in which a non-elastic webbing strap, adjustable in length by means of sewn-on clamp buckles, is attached to the bed mattress to secure the evacuation sheet. However, with this solution, the stitching points of the loops are not very stable and can tear out during use. Furthermore, the loops hanging out when not in use can pose a risk, as they can become entangled in objects.

[0009] Document US 2009 / 0038076 A1 also describes a rescue sheet with transport loops on its ends and sides. However, it does not include loops for securing it under a mattress, and it is not designed for evacuating people using it in conjunction with, for example, a mattress. Furthermore, there is a risk that the sometimes simply attached stitching points could tear out under very heavy loads.

[0010] A multi-folding device for transporting patients is known from US patent 2013 / 0180046 A1. It uses several rigid elements that are connected to each other in a foldable manner. The elements have lateral openings for handholds. Side or end carrying straps are not used. Furthermore, there are no loops for securing the device to a person's support surface, such as a mattress, and therefore its use in conjunction with a mattress is not intended. A transport device with flexible sections, which can be used on both horizontal surfaces, such as the ground or a floor, and inclined surfaces, such as stairs or hills, is known from US patent 2015 / 0061245 A1. This device is not intended for evacuating people, nor is it possible to attach it to a mattress.

[0011] A rescue mattress with drawstrings on the end walls and long sides is described in publication US 2011 / 0271445 A1.

[0012] DE 20 2015 103 258 U1 describes a cover for a mattress.

[0013] A major disadvantage of existing stretchers is the difficulty of safely transporting people through stairwells. This poses a risk of injuring the person being rescued. However, the rescuers themselves are also at risk of injury when evacuating people under stress, time pressure, and the threat of fire. Furthermore, current solutions are ergonomically inefficient for a single rescuer. The handles are often positioned in such a way that a rescuer working alone has to bend down awkwardly to pull the stretcher.

[0014] The biggest disadvantage of known stretchers, however, is that they are designed for use by at least two people (rescuers). This means that two rescuers can only rescue one person at a time. For this reason, rescuing people who are unable to walk is particularly problematic.

[0015] Firefighters also have carrying sheets as another known solution. However, these usually require three rescuers to retrieve a person who is unable to walk. Furthermore, carrying sheets are generally not available to first responders.

[0016] The object of the invention is to develop a means of transport for rescuing persons which can be used by both two and one person, and which can be used in corridors as well as in stairwells for rescuing non-ambulatory persons.

[0017] This problem is solved by the characterizing features of the first claim. Advantageous embodiments are described in the dependent claims.

[0018] According to the invention, a transport device for rescuing persons, in particular for rescuing non-ambulatory persons from dangerous situations, comprises a base body with two end faces and two longitudinal sides, wherein the base body is provided with a head pull strap on at least one first end face and has a top and a bottom, wherein the persons to be rescued and / or a support body for a person to be rescued can be received on the top face, wherein according to the invention the base body has a fixing strap at each of its corner regions for fixing the support body located on the base body and that at least two first carrying loops are formed on each of the end faces of the base body, wherein sewing points of the first carrying loops are arranged above first sewing points for the head pull strap and / or for the foot control strap and that at least two second carrying loops are formed on each of the longitudinal sides of the base body.wherein the second carrying loops are located directly at the sewing points of the safety strap pairs and that each of the longitudinal sides has two retaining straps which serve to hold the safety straps in a non-usable state.

[0019] A support structure is defined as a body that provides a lying surface for at least one person, such as a mattress, a mat, or similar item. A support structure is preferably positionable on the base body and, more preferably, fixable in place. This allows a person who has already been brought to safety to remain comfortably lying on the support structure until, for example, further rescue personnel arrive or until transfer to a bed or similar is possible.

[0020] The base body is preferably designed in the form of a cloth. The dimensions of the base body are preferably similar to those of commercially available mattresses or other support structures. Advantageously, the width of the base body is 75 cm to 95 cm, preferably 80 cm to 90 cm, and particularly preferably about 85 cm. Advantageously, the length of the base body is 185 cm to 205 cm, preferably 190 cm to 200 cm, and particularly preferably about 195 cm.

[0021] Each of the fixing bands has one sewing point on a long side and a second sewing point on the nearest end face of the base body.

[0022] In particular, the sewing points of each fixing band are positioned in such a way that an isosceles triangle is formed between the sewing points of a fixing band and the corresponding corner point of the base body.

[0023] Advantageously, the sewing points of the fixing straps are located 25 cm to 35 cm, preferably about 30 cm, away from the corner points of the base body, while the fixing straps have a length of preferably 38 cm to 48 cm, particularly preferably about 43 cm.

[0024] The fixing straps are preferably made of hook and loop fastener or woven elastic.

[0025] A support body placed on the base body can advantageously be fixed to the base body at its corner areas by means of the fixing straps.

[0026] Preferably, at least the underside of the base body is formed from a sliding material and / or coated with a sliding material. The sliding material is particularly preferably a polyamide fabric.

[0027] The top surface of the base can be made of a non-slip, preferably flocked, fabric. This advantageously prevents a transported person and / or a transported support object from slipping off.

[0028] A foot control strap is preferably arranged on the second end face, opposite the first end face. This serves, if necessary, to control or maneuver the person on the means of transport.

[0029] Both the head strap and the foot strap are preferably made of nylon. The head strap, at least, preferably has a length of 45–55 cm, and more preferably approximately 50 cm, between the first sewing points.

[0030] Advantageously, the first sewing points for the head strap and the foot control strap are arranged on the long sides of the main body at a distance of no more than 2 cm from the nearest end face. The first sewing points preferably have a length of approximately 10 cm.

[0031] The position of the first attachment points and the length of the head pull strap result in a pulling height of approximately 52 cm for the transport device. This means that a rescuer can comfortably pull the device behind them on level ground with their arm fully extended, while the highest point of the main body is about 52 cm above the ground. This has proven to be the most comfortable and stable position for the person being rescued. If the upper body of the person being rescued were significantly higher, there would be a risk of them slipping down the transport device, or additional securing elements would be necessary to prevent this. If the upper body of the person being rescued were lower, or even almost parallel to the ground, this would be very uncomfortable, especially when transporting them over uneven terrain or stairs. The head strap and / or the foot control strap can additionally be attached to the main body via a Velcro point, which is preferably located in the middle of the respective strap.

[0032] Preferably, at least two first carrying loops are formed on each end face of the base body. The sewing points of the first carrying loops are preferably located above the first sewing points for the head strap and / or for the foot control strap.

[0033] Preferably, at least two secondary carrying loops are formed on each of the longitudinal sides of the base body. Particularly preferably, at least two secondary carrying loops are formed on each longitudinal side.

[0034] It is possible that second sewing points for the head pull strap and / or the foot control strap are arranged on the longitudinal sides of the base body in such a way that the head pull strap and / or the foot control strap each form two of the second carrying loops, which are located on the longitudinal sides of the base body, wherein the distance between the first sewing points and the associated second sewing points and thus the length of the second carrying loops is at least 14 cm.

[0035] Similarly, the second carrying loops can be designed separately, i.e., independently of the head and / or foot strap. Preferably, the distance between the sewing points of each second carrying loop is at least 14 cm.

[0036] Preferably, at least two pairs of safety straps are attached to the longitudinal sides of the base body, each pair positioned opposite the other, at sewing points, with each pair of straps being detachably connected to each other by a fastener. The pairs of safety straps are preferably located approximately 60 cm from the nearest end face.

[0037] Advantageously, second carrying loops are located directly at the sewing points of the safety strap pairs, which are made of the same material as the safety straps and can also be designed as an extension of the safety straps.

[0038] In particular, each of the long sides has two retaining straps which serve to hold the safety straps when not in use. The retaining straps are preferably made of woven elastic and sewn into the hem of the main body.

[0039] Instructions for use of the transport vehicle may be printed on the base to ensure correct use in an emergency.

[0040] The fabrics, textiles, and webbing used are preferably made from flame-retardant materials. In particular, nylon materials are used.

[0041] The invention also allows for a signal band which may be equipped with a hook-and-loop fastener on one side to identify support bodies equipped with the transport means according to the invention. This signal band may be made of a highly reflective nylon fabric in one or more signal colors.

[0042] Advantageously, the present invention allows a single rescuer to rescue a person unable to walk. Transport is possible across all solid surfaces with the support body in place. Transport via stairwells is also straightforward. The transported person is optimally secured. Thanks to the carrying loops according to the invention, the transported person can also be advantageously carried by several rescuers.

[0043] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment and an associated drawing, without being limited to these.

[0044] This shows: Fig. 1: a means of transport according to the invention.

[0045] In Fig. Figure 1 shows a transport device according to the invention, viewed from the top, which essentially comprises a base body 1. The base body 1 has two longitudinal sides 1.1 and two end faces 1.21, 1.22. On a first end face 1.21, the base body 1 has a head-operated pull strap 2, and on a second end face 1.22 opposite the first end face 1.21, a foot-operated control strap 3.
