Abstract
Description
Technical area
[0001] The present invention relates to a device for fastening flexible, flat fabrics, comprising at least one clamping piping profile with a piping groove into which a piping fastened to the fabric is inserted. State of the art
[0002] According to the current state of the art, improvisational methods are often used to attach flexible, flat fabrics. Fasteners used in advertising or tent construction are used. These include so-called piping systems or eyelets pressed into the edges of the fabric at specific intervals. The major disadvantage is that systems for advertising technology are not designed for the four or five years of durability required in construction (warranty required). The maximum durability in advertising technology is six months, without liability.
[0003] With keder systems, a kind of bead is welded to the edges of the material. The welding itself causes the dimensions to change due to shrinkage during the welding process. Dimensional errors cannot be corrected. Since there are hardly any buildings in construction where everything is constructed to the correct angle and dimensions, major problems arise during the prefabrication of the materials. Relatively often, the material has to be disposed of and remade due to incorrect dimensions.
[0004] The primary problem here is that the construction company is liable for professional workmanship and durability that at least outlasts the warranty period. The solutions available to date do not achieve this. An exception to this are extremely complex special steel structures, where the edges are fitted with a keder profile, but then everything is redirected around the steel structure and fastened behind it with screws. This expense is so high for textile facades that few building owners can afford it. In addition, work space is always required between the fabric and the building for installation and maintenance. The building then often exceeds the permitted building boundaries, which leads to problems with the authorities or neighbors. Other alternative attachment methods (e.g., attaching eyelets to the edges) fail in long-term use due to the wind and suction loads they exert.Stability is compromised as soon as a connection fails, resulting in a chain reaction of damage.
[0005] From US 5,140,765 A and from US 4,894,960 A a device for fastening flexible, flat fabrics is known, which comprises a clamping keder profile with a keder groove into which a keder fastened to the fabric is inserted, wherein the device comprises at least one receiving profile in which the at least one clamping keder profile is arranged so as to be vertically displaceable, wherein the clamping keder profile or an adjusting profile holding the at least one clamping keder profile is arranged on at least one threaded screw rotatably received on the receiving profile, by means of which the clamping keder profile or an adjusting profile holding the clamping keder profile can be adjusted in height.
[0006] US 4,817,317 A discloses a generic device according to the aforementioned features, in which the clamping piping profile is arranged in the receiving profile such that the piping groove is oriented substantially in the opposite direction to the fabric attached to the device. The fabric section leading toward the clamping piping profile and the fabric section end piece of the clamping piping profile protruding from the clamping piping profile are guided such that these sections clamp each other. In the device illustrated in US 4,817,317 A, the fabric is held in the piping groove by means of adjusting jaws, which, when the threaded rod or threaded screw is adjusted, press the clamping piping profile and the fabric downward, thus ensuring individually adjustable tension of the fabric.
[0007] DE 21 22 167 C3 describes a generic device with a threaded rod which comprises a head accessible outside the receiving profile. Description of the invention
[0008] The object of the present invention is to create a device which eliminates the aforementioned problems and ensures that the flexible fabrics can be fastened to the building in such a way that they can withstand all requirements such as wind, suction and ice loads and meet the necessary static conditions. The device must also ensure that there are no problems with the dimensions of the materials used if there are inaccuracies on the construction site. Furthermore, punctual fastening or fastening which damages the material's properties must be avoided, as otherwise the manufacturer's warranty is invalid. In order to be approved, the materials for construction require a biaxial test in which the tear values are determined. It is therefore important not to jeopardize these values through the type of fastening, as otherwise the statics will be incorrect.
[0009] According to the invention, the above object is achieved according to the preamble of claim 1 in conjunction with the characterizing features. Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the device according to the invention are specified in the dependent subclaims.
[0010] The mounting profile is preferably made of extruded aluminum, which has special fastening grooves on the outside with which the mounting profile can be slidably attached to tabs or brackets using commercially available hammer head screws.
[0011] The fabric is preferably threaded continuously on all four sides. A round aluminum rod wrapped in the fabric serves as the piping. The fabric and the round tube form a bead, similar to the welded piping technique used in the advertising industry. Brief description of the drawings
[0012] Further objects, features, advantages and possible applications of the device according to the invention will become apparent from the following description of an embodiment with reference to the drawings.
[0013] The drawings show Fig. 1 the device in side view, broken open; Fig. 2 the device in perspective view; Fig. 3 the device in a perspective exploded view. Implementation of the invention
[0014] As from Fig. As can be seen in Figure 1, the device 1 according to the invention comprises a clamping piping profile 10 with a piping groove 100, into which a piping 11 (e.g., a piping rod or the like) attached to the fabric 2 is inserted. Furthermore, a receiving profile 12 is provided on the device 1, in which the clamping piping profile 10 is arranged in a height-adjustable manner.
[0015] The receiving profile 12 advantageously comprises a substantially U-shaped receptacle 120, into the upper region of which the fabric 2 is inserted and guided at the front of the receiving profile 12 to the clamping piping profile 10 arranged in the lower region of the receiving profile 12. Furthermore, the receiving profile 12 preferably comprises a cover 121 reversibly arranged on the receptacle 120.
[0016] The at least one clamping keder profile 10 or an adjusting profile 13 holding the at least one clamping keder profile 10 is arranged on at least one threaded rod 14 rotatably received on the receiving profile 12 or on at least one threaded screw 14 rotatably received on the receiving profile 12, by means of which the clamping keder profile 10 or an adjusting profile 13 holding the clamping keder profile 10 can be adjusted in height.
[0017] The at least one threaded rod 14 or the at least one threaded screw 14 comprises a head 140 accessible outside the receiving profile 12, by means of which the threaded rod 14 or the threaded screw 14 can be adjusted / rotated to adjust the height of the clamping profile 10.
[0018] As from Fig. As can be seen in Figure 1, the clamping keder profile 10 and the adjusting profile 13 comprise corresponding receptacles 101, 130, which allow a reversible, precisely fitting connection between the clamping keder profile 10 and the adjusting profile 13. Thus, the clamping keder profile 10 can be easily and effortlessly inserted from below into the adjusting profile 13.
[0019] The clamping piping profile 10 is further arranged in the receiving profile 12 such that the piping groove 100 is oriented substantially in the opposite direction of the fabric 2 attached to the device 1. Furthermore, the fabric region 20 leading toward the clamping piping profile 10 and the fabric region end piece 21 protruding from the clamping piping profile 10 are guided on the underside 102 of the clamping piping profile 10 such that these regions 20, 21 clamp each other. The advantage of this embodiment of the device according to the invention is that more or less of the fabric 2 can be easily folded in, and the dimensions of the entire fabric 2 can thus be easily influenced.
[0020] The fabric 2 is held in the piping groove 100 by means of adjusting jaws 15, which press the clamping piping profile 10 with the fabric 2 downwards when the threaded rod 14 or the threaded screw 14 is adjusted and thus ensure an individually adjustable tension of the fabric 2.
[0021] By rotating the head 140, the adjusting jaws 15 then press the clamping piping profile 10 with the fabric 2 downwards and thus ensure an individually adjustable tension of the fabric 2.
[0022] To mitigate peak wind loads, the invention provides for the clamping keder profile 10 or the adjusting profile 13 holding the clamping keder profile 10 to be spring-loaded on the threaded rod 14 or the threaded screw 14. A compression spring 16 can preferably be installed for this purpose. This spring also ensures automatic tension compensation in the event of temperature changes. This particularly material-friendly fastening method makes it possible to easily withstand the warranty periods required during construction and significantly reduce installation costs, for example, for textile facades.
[0023] The receiving profile 12 further comprises fastening grooves 1200, with which the receiving profile 12 can be slidably fastened to tabs or retaining brackets by means of commercially available hammer head screws.
