Description

The present invention relates to a smartphone that can be used as VR glasses. One concept for this is shown in US 2019 / 0146225 A1, which discloses a smartphone which is rotatably mounted in a frame, wherein the frame is designed such that it comprises an eyepiece plate for bearing against the face of a user and necessary fastening elements for arranging the device on the head of the user. Furthermore, the frame comprises means for positioning the smartphone at a distance from the eyepiece plate and for sealing the chamber thereby formed between the eyepiece plate and the smartphone from light. In the extended state, the smartphone can be rotated, so that the display is oriented toward the eyepiece plate. The disclosed solution contains some fragile mechanical components and the operation for switching between the modes of operation of the apparatus requires some manipulations, thus is cumbersome.U.S. Pat. No. 9,671,863 B2 discloses methods and devices which detect reactions, in particular of the eyes, of users when using displays and augmented reality glasses.Furthermore, US 2016 / 0224123 A1 shows a method for controlling a computer device by means of augmented reality and gestures of the hands.US 2018 / 0074553 A1 shows various variants of foldable displays.DE 20 2019 102 869 U1 describes various virtual reality systems for use in a vehicle and for controlling the same. The present invention is distinguished by its compatibility. The smartphone resembles a folding handy phone of the 90's, but has no keypad. Instead, the smartphone is equipped with a continuous, flexible touch display. Both oval handy sides resemble spectacle lenses, which can be folded together to form a compact device, however. Two brackets can be telescopically extended from the ends of the housing. If these are folded over in such a way that the shape of a pair of spectacles is produced, these can be put on. In order to avoid injuries to the nasal protuberance, rubber buffers are arranged at the folding points of the smartphone. The smartphone can be used vertically as a conventional handy phone in the unfolded state. The lower page displays the keyboard or the number field, while the menu or the browser is displayed at the top. When turning into the hoizonta, the screen content also turns, the keyboard then being displayed on the left and the image on the right. The keyboard can also be deselected, so that a second menu field can fulfil a task. The left side may handle one task and the right one other, multi-tasking. Furthermore, the smartphone can be placed in the glasses mode, the device can now be mounted. It now functions as VR eyeglasses. The menu, videos, and games are now more easily experienced. The spectacles can also be controlled via peripheral devices via Bluetooth. The cell phone also has front and rear cameras or cameras. It is able to perceive the frontal environment with the rear camera when the position is placed on. This is displayed in a small window on the screen edge, if necessary. Furthermore, augmented reality can be used to integrate the hands of the user in the menu image in an overlapping manner, so that things can be clicked with the hands in real time. The menu image and the own hand are visible through the perception of the camera. The same is done in reverse as bluescreen technology in film productions. This also makes it possible to superimpose and write a keyboard. A program then runs in the background and correctly assigns the finger movements. The smartphone has a battery on both sides and is approximately the same weight on both halves. The eye glass brackets are stored in a shaft in the housing interior. The brackets can be extended or shortened telescopically. The display is made of the same film as in a foldable smartphone. The display provides a continuous light between the two halves. The smartphone has the same functions as a modern smartphone: flash function, WiFi, Bluetooth, Internet and radio network, SIM card slot and power connections, even inductive charging. The folding function is ensured by a type of hinge, but other systems could also be conceivable, many individual joint or hinge elements. The front camera could also be input and controlled via gestures in the unfolded state, in order to unlock the display, for example.
