Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a sheet metal channel with clips for assembling sheet metal channel sections. It is known in the prior art that sheet metal duct sections are assembled in order to obtain one-piece sheet metal ducts for the room ventilation. For this purpose, the sheet metal channel sections are usually screwed together. The document DE 298 01 851 U1 describes a frame made of sheet metal hollow profiles for attachment to the ends of sheet metal channels. Document US 5,423,576 discloses a corner piece for a channel connecting element made of metal.Screwing the sheet metal channel sections represents a time-consuming process. In addition, the screwing does not ensure that the sheet metal channel sections are water- or liquid-tight.An object of the invention is therefore to provide a device which enables a tight assembly of individual sheet metal channel sections. In addition, the device according to the invention is intended to reduce the assembly time when individual sheet metal channel sections are assembled.According to the invention, a bloft with a rectangular cross section is provided for room ventilation, comprising: a first sheet metal duct section with a first frame profile, wherein the first frame profile is fastened to the first sheet metal duct section by a first hollow profile, a second sheet metal duct section with a second frame profile, wherein the second frame profile is fastened to the second sheet metal duct section by a second hollow profile, and corner clips, wherein in each case one clip connects a frame corner of the first frame profile to a frame corner of the second frame profile, wherein each clip is a hollow profile with a miter opening, which has a bend at the miter opening, and wherein the miter opening is configured such that an overlapping section results after the hollow profile has been bent by 90°, wherein the resulting superposed portions are joined by welding. The corner clips are each designed as hollow profiles and can thus clamp together mutually superposed surfaces of two frame profiles. This allows the connection, the assembly, of adjoining sheet metal channel sections to be made to form a one-piece, one-piece sheet metal channel. The hollow profile of the clip according to the invention can be bent on account of a miter cut, so that the hollow profile is suitable for connecting the mutually superposed corners of frame profiles of sheet metal channel sections which have been moved together. This results in a connection for this corner region which is distinguished by high tightness and wherein the connection can be produced very quickly. If the sections of the hollow profile of the individual corner clips lying one above the other are welded to one another, a mechanically very stable clip is obtained in each case.Hollow profiles and corner clips are used in the production of sheet metal channels. As a result, the assembly of individual sheet metal channel sections can be accelerated in time. In addition, the tightness of the joints of the sheet metal channel increases. The individual features can of course also be combined with one another, as a result of which advantageous effects can also be produced in part which go beyond the sum of the individual effects.Further details and advantages of the invention will become clear from the exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawings. They show FIG. 1 shows sheet metal channel sections 2, the frame profiles 4 of which are screwed together (prior art), FIG. 2 shows the sheet metal channel sections 2 in an exploded view with the hollow profiles 5 for fastening the frame profiles 4 to the sheet metal channel sections 2 (prior art), FIG. 3 shows a hollow profile 5 in a perspective illustration, FIG. 4 shows the hollow profile 5 in a cross-sectional illustration, FIG. 5 shows corner clip 7 as a hollow profile with a miter opening 6, in order to allow bending of hollow profile 7 by 90° in particular, FIG. 6 shows the corner clip 7 in a plan view, FIG. 7 shows the corner clip 7 in a bent state, and FIG. 8 shows assembled sheet metal channel sections 2 with elongated hollow profiles 5 and corner clips 7, which are designed as bent hollow profiles.FIG. 1 shows a sheet metal channel 2 with a rectangular cross section (rectangular tubes, channels) according to the prior art. There are also sheet metal channels with a round cross section (round tubes). The sheet metal channels usually have a sheet metal thickness of up to 1.25 mm or up to 1.5 mm. Frame profiles 4.1 and 4.2 are used for connecting the individual rectangular sheet metal channel sections 2.1 and 2.2, which are reinforced at the four corners of the sheet metal channel sections 2.1 and 2.2 with corner angles. Holes are located in the corner angles, through which screws 1 are inserted during assembly and are then screwed together. Successive sheet metal channel sections 2.1 and 2.2 are connected to the frame profiles 4.1 and 4.2 by means of screws 1 to form a strand or sheet metal channel. This type of connection is called "four-hole connection". In this way, complete channel strings or sheet metal channels can be built up.The "four-hole connection" is nowadays used in almost all room-air technology installations. As a rule, three different basic types of profile sizes with a leg length of 20 mm, 30 mm and 40 mm are used. Assembling the frame profiles 4 and inserting the corner angles is nowadays largely manual work. There are machines for this purpose, but they are expensive and inflexible with regard to the different profile types, sizes and lengths.FIG. 2 shows the assembly of channel sections according to the prior art, wherein hollow profiles 5.1 and 5.2 are arranged on frame profiles 4.1 and 4.2, respectively. By means of the hollow profiles 5.1 and 5.2, the frame profiles 4.1 and 4.2 are fastened to the channel sections 2.1 and 2.2, respectively. The frame profiles 4.1 and 4.2 are then screwed together, so that channel sections 2.1 and 2.2 are assembled to form a one-piece sheet metal channel.FIG. 3 shows a hollow profile 5 without a miter opening, which can be used for the detachable fastening of frame profiles 4 to sheet metal channel sections 2.FIG. 4 shows a cross section of the hollow profile 5.FIG. 5 shows the corner clip 7 as a hollow profile with the miter opening 6, wherein the miter opening 6 is used to bend the hollow profile.FIG. shows a corner clip 7 as a hollow profile for connecting the corners of frame profiles 4, wherein in a first step a miter cut 6 is carried out, wherein the miter cut cannot be carried out completely, but wherein material remains at the inner edge. After bending, this results in parts of the hollow profile 7 lying one above the other, which increase the mechanical stability of the hollow profile 7.FIG. 7 shows the clip 7, wherein the hollow profile is illustrated in a bent manner. In particular, a right angle bend results, whereby a clip 7 is provided for the corners of the frame profiles 4. The clips 7 connect the frame profiles 4. In addition, a further advantage results from the fact that the frame profiles 4 can easily be opened again. The clip 7 according to the invention is designed as an angle and is open on one side so that the frame corners of two frame profiles 4 of the sheet metal channel sections can be inserted.By a special configuration of the miter cut 6, a fastening process by means of welding is then added.During the further processing of the frame, during the application to the channel section 2, resistance spot welds are carried out, for example. With such spot welding on the overlaps of the miter, the mechanical stability is increased. The miter opening 6 is designed in such a way that overlapping sections result after the hollow profile has been bent through 90°. The resulting superposed portions are joined together by welding. This results in a high mechanical stability of the corner clip 7.FIG. 8 shows the use of corner clips 7 which ensure a releasable connection of frame profiles 4 at the corners. Advantageously, it is no longer necessary for sheet metal channel sections 2 to be connected by screws 1. A temporal acceleration of the assembly of sheet metal channel sections 2 to form a one-piece sheet metal channel for space ventilation is made possible. The reference numerals used are merely for increasing intelligibility and are not to be considered as limiting, the scope of the invention being indicated by the claims.1 Screw for the detachable connection of sheet metal channel sections 2, 2.1, 2.2 sheet metal channel section 3 nut 4, 4.1, 4.2 frame profile 5, 5.1, 5.2 hollow profile / connecting element 6 miter cut 7 hollow profile with miter cut 6
