Description

The invention relates to a sealing profile with a base region that can be fixed to a vehicle component, in particular to a component of a vehicle roof module, and with an elastic sealing region.DE 10 2019 114 164 A1 discloses a sealing profile with a base region which contains a U-shaped sealing plug foot for plug-fastening the sealing profile to a flange of a roof component. The roof component delimits a roof opening of a vehicle roof to be closed by a cover. During the assembly of the sealing profile, the sealing plug is pushed onto the flange and encompassing it, until it bears against the free edge of the flange. This defines a defined installation position of the sealing profile on the flange projecting in the direction of the vehicle inward or in the z direction from the roof component.DE 10 2005 057 513 A1 discloses a sealing profile of the generic type, the base region of which is fastened as a planar fastening portion to a planar fastening surface of a vehicle component by means of an adhesive layer. The vehicle component can contain perforations in its fastening surface, into which fastening clips engage, which are accommodated in associated perforations at the base region of the sealing profile. This achieves a defined installation position of the sealing profile on the vehicle component.DE 20 2005 004 005 U1 discloses a sealing profile with a fastening section which has a groove. In the region of the groove base, the sealing profile has a transverse wall. The sealing profile is pushed onto a free end of a frame part of a frame structure of a vehicle opening. By placing the transverse wall-as viewed in the direction of the depth of the groove-a positioning aid is provided for the manual assembly of the sealing profile. Further prior art documents are FR 2 934 554 A1, DE 195 35 681 A1 and EP 3 447 439 B1.The object of the invention is therefore to provide a sealing profile mentioned at the beginning which is improved with regard to simplified mounting on a vehicle component, and to provide a mounting arrangement having a mounting device and having such a sealing profile. The object is achieved by a sealing profile according to independent claim 1. The sealing profile has, inter alia, a reference part which, when the sealing profile is fitted to the vehicle component in mounting contact with a mounting device, defines the installation position of the sealing profile on the vehicle component.Furthermore, the object is achieved by a mounting arrangement having the features of claim 7.Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.Because the reference part defines and specifies the installation position of the sealing profile, direct contact of the sealing profile with a stop or the like on the vehicle component, which is formed, for example, as a web or flange, is not necessary for positioning, but rather can be dispensed with. The sealing profile is adhesively secured via two mutually opposite planar and in particular mutually parallel surfaces on the flange and on the sealing profile. The sealing profile is connected to the flange via the adhesive bond or adhesive layer, but otherwise free of contact with the vehicle component or flange. The correct positioning of the sealing profile takes place in particular in the direction perpendicular to the top side of a roof surface adjoining the installation position of the sealing profile, wherein this direction is also referred to as the z direction.Preferably, the reference part is a part of the base region or is connected to the base region. The base region expediently has an adhesive surface for fastening by means of an adhesive bond to a seal fastening surface of the vehicle component or flange. The base region is expediently formed so largely as to be resistant to deformation in order to enable secure adhesive fastening.According to a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the reference part is formed as a connecting part for connecting the sealing profile or the base region to the mounting device. The connection or coupling of the sealing profile or of the base region to the mounting device is effected with such a holding force that the sealing profile can be positioned and fastened on the flange. After the fastening of the sealing profile, the connection or coupling is releasable if the holding force is overcome when the mounting device is removed. The connection or coupling is thus preferably effected in a form-fitting manner and can expediently also have a frictional part.Expediently, the reference part is formed as a coupling, as a holder or as a plug connection for coupling the sealing profile or its base region to the mounting device or for connecting to the mounting device.According to a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the reference part is formed as an extension of the base region in the direction parallel to the adhesive surface and beyond the sealing region and directed towards the vehicle interior. The reference part is expediently arranged on the underside of the sealing profile, which is assigned to an inner or underside opposite an upper side of a vehicle roof surface, and can be coupled to the mounting device supplied on the vehicle roof underside. The reference part formed as an extension is thus a defined extension of the base region. This extension would not be necessary without the function as a reference part.Expediently, the reference part is formed as an extension of a neutral fiber or plane of the base region. If the sealing profile is fastened to a flange which delimits the roof opening and runs in a curved manner and is bent accordingly, undesired deformations of the sealing profile and in particular of the sealing region which has a hollow chamber are avoided.According to the invention, the reference part is connected to the sealing profile via a predetermined breaking point and in particular to the base region of the sealing profile. After the sealing profile has been assembled, the reference part can thus be removed in a simple manner. In principle, the reference part can also be arranged on the outwardly or upwardly directed upper side of the base region of the sealing profile. In this case, the mounting device contacts the reference part from the vehicle roof top side. Expediently, the reference part is removed after the sealing profile has been assembled. In a mounting arrangement according to the invention with a mounting device and with such a sealing profile, the mounting device carries the sealing profile via a retaining engagement on its reference part. In its mounting position, the mounting device contacts at least one vehicle reference point assigned to the vehicle component. Such a vehicle reference point is arranged in particular on the inner side or underside of the vehicle roof or a roof skin and closely adjacent to the vehicle component. The mounting device thus holds the sealing profile positioned on the vehicle component in the intended position or installation position. It is expediently provided that the vehicle component has a web or flange or is formed as such. The web or flange includes a seal mounting surface for mounting the seal profile. In particular, the web or flange is arranged angled inward from a roof surface. Expediently, the web or flange delimits a roof opening. Expediently, the base region of the sealing profile in its installation position is arranged free of contact with the web or flange, wherein the contact is recessed by the adhesive fastening thereof.Preferably, the mounting means includes a coupling member releasably retainingly engaging the reference portion of the base portion. During assembly, the retaining engagement is maintained. After the sealing profile has been assembled, the retaining engagement is released by removing the assembly device from the sealing profile or from the base region. The coupling part is designed for a simple coupling by means of a positive fit and / or frictional fit.According to a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the mounting device has at least one positioning arm which bears against the associated vehicle reference point. The vehicle reference point is arranged in particular on the roof underside and adjacent to the flange. Due to the local proximity between the vehicle component or flange and the vehicle reference point, the position accuracy is increased, since possible component tolerances or dimensional deviations can be reduced in their effects. The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment of a sealing profile and a mounting arrangement with reference to the drawing. It shows: FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a detail of a vehicle roof with a roof opening closed by a cover and with a sealing profile in its installed position on a vehicle component; FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of a vehicle roof with a roof opening closed by a cover and with sealing profiles in their installation positions; FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the vehicle roof of FIG. 2 with two sealing profiles and with a mounting device for positioning the sealing profiles in their installation positions; FIG. 4 is an isometric view of a vehicle roof with a roof opening and a flange surrounding the roof opening for receiving a sealing profile; and FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view according to FIG. 1 of the sealing profile in the installed position on a modified vehicle component.A vehicle roof 1 of a passenger car has a roof panel 3 forming a roof panel 2 and a roof opening 4 formed in the roof panel 2 or in the roof panel 3. The roof surface 2 is, for example, a part of a vehicle roof module 5 which is attached to a roof frame of the vehicle roof 1. A roof surface part 6 is arranged in the roof opening 4 in a closed position and closes the roof opening 4 flush with the roof surface 2. the roof surface part 6 is e.g. a cover 7 of a sliding roof unit (FIG. 1 ) or a cover 8 of a functional unit 8' (FIG. 2 ). Such a functional unit 8' has, for example, sensors which can detect the vehicle environment. In a rest position (FIG. 2 ), the functional unit 8' is lowered with respect to the roof surface 2 and arranged below the vehicle roof 1, so that the cover 8 is arranged flush with the roof surface 2. In a functional position, the functional unit 8' with the cover 8 is lifted or pivoted out upwards beyond the roof surface 2, so that the sensors are ready for use for detecting the vehicle surroundings. The roof surface part 6 is arranged in its closed position in the roof opening 4 in such a way that it sealingly abuts against a sealing profile 9. The sealing profile 9 is arranged on a vehicle component 10 delimiting the roof opening 4 and is expediently arranged circumferentially around the, for example, approximately rectangular or oval roof opening 4. FIG. 4 shows, by way of example, a section of the sealing profile 9 attached to the flange 11.The vehicle component 10 is, for example, a web or a flange 11 which extends downwards or inwards from the roof skin 3 and is preferably formed circumferentially around the roof opening 4. The flange 11 is formed, for example, as a bend of the roof panel 3 and is bent inward toward the vehicle interior by approximately a right angle. The flange 11 can have a constant flange height along the edge of the roof opening 4 over its length or, in an alternative configuration, can have regions with different flange heights. The vehicle component 10 or flange 11 has a substantially planar seal mounting surface 12 facing the roof opening 4. This seal fastening surface 12 is provided for adhesion to the sealing profile 9.The sealing profile 9 has a base region 13 and a sealing region 14. The base region 13 is preferably formed as a flat strip-shaped or strip-shaped profile and has on one side an adhesive surface 15, by means of which the base region 13 is bonded to the seal-fastening surface 12 by means of an adhesive bond, for example in the form of an adhesive layer 16. The sealing region 14 is arranged on the side of the base region 13 opposite the adhesive surface 15 and is integrally formed thereon, for example by coextrusion. The elastic sealing region 14 is fastened or formed on one side to an upper edge 17 of the base region 13 and on the other side to a lower portion 18 of the base region 13 at a fastening point 19 and bulges over the base region 13 forming a hollow chamber 20.The base region 13 is formed to such an extent as to be hard and resistant to deformation that the sealing profile 9 can be mounted and bonded to the flange 11 reliably. The base region 13 has a reference part 21 formed at a lower edge 22 of the base region 13. The reference part 21 is expediently formed as a downwardly directed extension of the base region 13. The reference part 21 thus expands the base region 13 downward beyond the lower fastening point 19 of the sealing region 14.The reference part 21 is formed, for example, as a contact part 23, which is in contact with a mounting device 24 during the mounting of the sealing profile 9 on the vehicle component 10 and via which the mounting device 24 brings the sealing profile 9 into its correct mounting position on the vehicle component 10. The sealing profile 9 is bonded in its mounting position to the vehicle component 10 or to the flange 11.The sealing profile 9 has assumed its correct assembly position when the reference part 21 is in a reference position. The reference member 21 is in a specific relation to a vehicle reference point 25 at the reference position. the vehicle reference point 25 is defined as, for example, a location or area on the roof inner side or the inner or lower side 26 of the roof panel 3 in the vicinity of the flange 11.The sealing profile 9 is arranged in its mounting position by means of the mounting device 24. The mounting device 24 has a web 28 held by a holder 27, which is formed circumferentially in association with the flange 11 delimiting the roof opening 4 and is shaped in such a way that a coupling part 30 arranged on the upper edge 29 of the web 28 holds the base region 13 of the sealing profile 9 by means of holding engagement on the contact part 23 of the base region 13 and thus carries the sealing profile 9.The mounting device 24 furthermore has a plurality of positioning arms 31 which are fixedly attached to the holder 27 in such a way that, in a mounting arrangement of the mounting device 24, they bear against the respectively assigned vehicle reference point 25, for example by means of a planar arm contact 32, for example. When the positioning arms 31 abut the vehicle reference points 25, the sealing profile 9 is arranged in its correct assembly position in front of the seal fastening surface 12 of the flange 11 and can be fastened to the flange 11 by means of the adhesive bonding, if appropriate after the removal of a film covering the adhesive layer. The mounting device 24 has, for example, four positioning arms 31 which bear against four associated vehicle reference points 25 (see FIG. 4 with an exemplary illustration of the vehicle reference points 25). Also with different flange heights, a correct positioning of the sealing profile 9 takes place. After the sealing profile 9 has been fastened and bonded to the flange 11, the mounting device 24 is moved away downward from the roof underside, wherein the coupling part 30 of the web 28 is decoupled from the contact part 23 of the base region 13. The mounting device 24 can now be removed from the vehicle roof 1.According to a preferred embodiment, the reference part 21 is separable from the base region 13 via a predetermined breaking point 33 (see FIG. 1 ) formed on the base region 13, after the sealing profile 9 has been fastened to the vehicle component 10 or to the flange 11. In the case of constricted space conditions in the vicinity of the sealing profile 9, the subsequent removal of the reference part 21 can be advantageous. The strength of the predetermined breaking point 33 is matched to the adhesive fastening of the base region 13 to the flange 11 in such a way that the breaking off or separating of the reference part 21 cannot bring about a detachment of the sealing profile 9 from the flange 11.The sealing profile 9 is preferably produced by coextrusion of a hard material for the base region 13 with a soft material for the sealing region 14.FIG. 5 shows the sealing profile 9 which, in its installation position, is attached and bonded to a vehicle component 10 which is formed as a U-shaped flange part 34. A roof frame part 35 which carries the roof skin 3 has a bevel 36 which delimits the roof opening 4. The roof skin 3 is bent only slightly over the bent edge 36. The U-shaped flange part 34 is fastened on the bevel 36. Its mounting leg 37 includes the seal mounting surface 12, and in this embodiment, the flange portion 34 may be made of a material different from the material of the roof panel 3. In this way, if the material of the roof panel 3 does not allow a flange to be deformed and molded, the seal attachment surface 12 can be provided by the separate flange part 34.In this embodiment, the vehicle reference point 25 may be provided at the lower side of the roof frame part 35.In principle, the contact part 23 and the coupling part 30 can be provided in an interchanged arrangement in which the contact part 23 is arranged on the web 28 of the mounting device 24 and the coupling part 30 is arranged as a reference part 21 on the base region 13. Furthermore, the configuration of the connection and coupling between the base region 13 and the mounting device 24 is not limited to the illustrated embodiments.List of reference characters1 Vehicle roof 2 Roof surface 3 Roof skin 4 Roof opening 5 Vehicle roof module 6 Roof surface part 7 Cover 8 Cover 8' Functional unit 9 Sealing profile 10 Vehicle component 11 Flange 12 Sealing fastening surface 13 Base region 14 Sealing region 15 Adhesive surface 16 Adhesive coating 17 Upper edge 18 Lower portion 19 Fastening point 20 Hollow chamber 21 Reference part 22 Lower edge 23 Contact part 24 Mounting device 25 Vehicle reference point 26 Lower side 27 Holder 28 Web 29 Upper edge 30 Coupling part 31 Positioning arm 32 Arm contact 33 Predetermined breaking point 34 Flange part 35 Roof frame part 36 Bent portion 37 Fastening leg
