Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a step designed for mounting on an underride guard of a vehicle, in particular a concrete mixer truck.
[0002] Truck mixers are mobile concrete mixers used to transport fresh concrete. Common truck mixers have a rotating drum containing a spiral-shaped bucket that continuously mixes the concrete. During operation, the drum rotates so that the concrete is conveyed forward and repeatedly falls over the bucket. To dispense the concrete, the drum's rotation is reversed, so that the concrete is conveyed by the spiral bucket, similar to a screw conveyor, to a discharge opening. From the discharge opening, the concrete is then transported via a chute to the desired location.
[0003] During the concrete pouring process, it is often necessary to adjust the position of the chute or perform other work on it. However, this is difficult because the chute is located far above the ground.
[0004] A swiveling step of this type for mounting on the underride guard of a vehicle is described in DE 10 2018 007 969 A1. Further swiveling steps for vehicles are known from WO 2014 / 034 973 A1 or US 2015 / 0 239 075 A1.
[0005] It is therefore the object of the present invention to create a step that can be used during the dispensing of the concrete to facilitate the operation of the chute, and which can be folded away during the journey.
[0006] This problem is solved according to the invention by the features specified in claim 1. Further embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims.
[0007] According to the invention, a pivotable step is proposed, designed for mounting on the underride guard of a vehicle, in particular a concrete mixer truck. The step comprises an arm and a footboard, which is attached to one end of the arm. A mounting section is provided at the other end of the arm, by means of which the arm can be pivotably mounted to the underride guard of the vehicle. A locking device is also provided, with which the step can be fixed in various pivot positions.
[0008] In a preferred embodiment, the step is designed such that the pivoting movement of the step occurs around the underride guard. The mounting section is designed so that it can rotate on the outer circumference of the underride guard.
[0009] According to one embodiment, the aforementioned locking device comprises a perforated disc with multiple holes and a locking bolt that can be inserted into the holes of the perforated disc to lock the step in a desired pivot position. Another embodiment of a step may include a clamping device, a detent device, or any other device with which the step can be locked in different positions.
[0010] One of the aforementioned parts of the locking device, namely the perforated disc or the locking bolt, is preferably permanently connected to the mounting section or is an integral part of the mounting section. For example, the perforated disc can be welded to the mounting section. The other part of the locking device, such as a mechanism for actuating the locking bolt, is preferably permanently mounted to the underride guard.
[0011] According to the invention, the mounting section is designed as a type of pipe clamp, in particular a multi-part pipe clamp, which surrounds the underride guard. The mounting section can be attached to the underride guard, for example, by means of screws. The mounting section is preferably designed and installed such that it sits relatively loosely on the underride guard and the step can be pivoted.
[0012] The locking device may include a lever for actuating the locking bolt.
[0013] The footboard can be fixed to the arm or pivotally attached to it. The arm can have a hinge joint.
[0014] The assembly section and, if applicable, other components of the stage according to the invention are preferably designed for mounting on an underride guard with a round profile. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0015] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. These show: Fig. 1 A schematic representation of a truck mixer with a swiveling step in a working position; Fig. 2 a rear view of the concrete mixer with swiveling step in a folded-up driving position; Fig. 3 a detailed rear view of the truck mixer with swiveling step, which is in a working position; Fig. 4 A detailed view of the assembly section of the step and a locking device: Fig. 5 Another detailed view of the assembly section of the step and the locking device: FORMS OF EXECUTION OF THE INVENTION
[0016] Fig. Figure 1 shows a schematic representation of a truck mixer 12 with a pivoting platform 1, which is pivotally mounted on an underride guard 9 at the rear of the truck mixer 12. The truck mixer 12 has a rotating drum 13 with which the concrete is continuously mixed. At the rear of the truck mixer 12 is a discharge opening for the concrete and a chute 14 through which the concrete is dispensed. Platform 1 is shown here in a working position that allows a worker to operate the chute 14 during the dispensing of the concrete and, if necessary, to intervene in the dispensing process.
[0017] Stage 1 comprises an arm 2 to which a running board 6 is attached. A mounting section is provided at the lower end of the arm, by means of which the arm 2 is pivotably mounted to the underride guard 9 of the vehicle 12. The underride guard 9 is, on most concrete mixer trucks, designed as a metal bar with a round profile. Stage 1 is mounted on the metal bar at least between a working position and a driving position (in Fig. (1 shown in dashed lines) pivotable and fixable in these positions by means of a locking device 10.
[0018] Fig. Figure 2 shows a rear view of the truck mixer 12, with stage 1 in a folded-up driving position. Fig. Figure 3 shows the rear view of the truck mixer 12, with stage 1 in an extended working position.
[0019] Fig. Figure 4 shows a detailed view of mounting section 3 of stage 1. Mounting section 3 comprises a type of pipe clamp made of two half-shells, which are screwed together by means of screws 11 and grip the profile of the underride guard 9. A perforated disc 5 is arranged on one side of mounting section 3, which has several holes 16 that determine the pivot positions of stage 1. The perforated disc 5 is welded to mounting section 3. A locking bolt 8 is located to the side of the perforated disc 5. This bolt can be actuated by means of a lever 7 and inserted into one of the holes 16 to fix stage 1 in a desired position. The perforated disc 5 and the lever mechanism with the locking bolt 8 are components of a locking device 10.
[0020] The lever mechanism with the locking bolt 8 is fixedly mounted to the underride guard 9. It is secured by means of a type of pipe clamp that grips the underride guard 9, as shown in Fig. 4 can be seen.
[0021] On the other side of the mounting section 3, a stop or lateral limit 15 can be provided, which prevents lateral movement of the arm 2 on the underride guard 9 in the longitudinal direction of the rod. The stop can also be designed as a type of pipe clamp.
[0022] Fig. Figure 5 shows again the assembly section 3 of stage 1 and the locking device 10 from the other side.
